Review from John S.

Some people wouldn't be caught dead in this store: "What? Me go to a 99 cent store?' I, on the other hand, make it a point to be there as a live person on a pretty regular basis. This place is like a treasure hunt.-alot of worthless crap...but enough worthwhile bargains to make it worth your while to come check out on a regular basis.
I didn't used to think much of 99 cent stores but i like this one now. Most of the stuff i would never buy. But you can find deals. Lately I've found earthbound organic lettuce that sells for 99 cents(The same item sells for $4 at Whole Foods.) Even found a dvd set of three episodes of The Dukes Hazzard for 99 cents, and a best of 'Chico and the Man' dvd set also for 99 cents-who couldn't pass up that opportunity : )
Recently been diggin' on organic black beans, organic tomato soup, bags of spinach, a variety of different kinds of breads, etc all for 99 cents each. If you are on a tight food budget this is the place to check out, just watch the dates on the food that you buy. -

"A little bit of this and a little bit of that..."
Does anyone remember that song from the Little Mermaid?
Look at this stuff, isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
......
Look at this trove, treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
.......
That's how I feel about this 99 cents store. Inventory constantly changes so you never know what you'll find. I'll find 99 cent duck tape which is like $13 at Office Max and 99 cent velcro fastener things that I can't find anywhere else.
Right after Halloween is my favorite time to shop here. They will stock all the holiday gift wrap. You have to come before it's pillaged. So, I will buy all my gift wrap, tissue paper, colored tissue paper, holiday gift bags, and gift boxes for hella hella cheap here before anyone else gets them. It's kinda weird to walk out with $20 of stuff but it will last me the whole year because I'll buy the birthday stuff too. If you ever receive a gift from me, it's probably wrapped and with tissue paper from this 99 cent store.
What's surprising is their collection of post-it notes. They are really pretty and decorative so I will buy a whole bunch from here. They don't stick as well as the 3M kind but they are just temporary anyways.
The parking lot has only 6 spots and with very tight corners. Be careful because the loading truck guy is usually there loading stuff so the truck will block the entrance. I find it preferable to park on 149th street in the neighborhood.
Have fun treasure hunting! -

This is one of your best overall 99 cent stores - they have a little bit of everything, and they are always getting new items in stock. You can get great buys like photo paper, kitchen items, and things that would cost more elsewhere. I like to sort of see what each 99 cent store's "specialty" is (some have a great selection of produce, some have great art supplies, etc.) but this one is very generalized. There is a little bit of everything here - and never a long line (big plus with 99 cent stores).
