This store has everything!! Dairy, produce, baking, frozen, household, etc... for 99 cents you know the quality you're getting but the stuff there is not bad. The store is large and well organized and clean.
Only cons is the check out lines are always long, seems like they are under staff. -

I don't usually review the 99c stores, but this one deserves a shout out. It really is the nicest, cleanest one I have seen.

The gift wrap section looks like you might be at any drugstore or party shop. Very neat with a good selection.

A large produce section and dairy case. Almost like being at a little mini market.
I regularly come for my cactus corn tortillas! Yum! I love these things.

This one is not grimy, grungy, and messy like so many of the other 99c stores. Even the people shopping there are more normal looking than the usual 99c crowd.
If you have an aversion to dollar stores, I bet you would be able to handle this one! -

This store is great in many aspects. The people are friendly and very helpful. The store is always stocked and very clean inside. They are also very knowledgable about the products they carry and when they will be on hand. Overall I would recomend this particular store to anyone whom wpuld like a great shopping experience.

They got many of your baking needs here. and many gift wrapping items (ribbons, cool bags, wrappers...etc.)
I was stupid to buy a cream tube(?) from vons for $4 only to find a similar one here. They also have whisks and spatulas and what not.
All you have to do to have a pleasant experience is: stay the f away from the candy. It never tastes ok. there is always something icky bout the way it tastes. -

Its nice that this is a large 99 in a good neighborhood.
Theres another large one in Pomona in a seedy area that just gets gross.
Its clean and they keep it well stocked.
The staff isnt the quickest but you can find them and ask them stuff.
Something you cant find at every 99. -

Um, so how do I go about reviewing a 99 cents store? It's a 99 cents store... what can I possibly expect?
So I come in here looking for a 99 cent poster board for school...I mean the first place you'd think of when buying these ubiquitous project supplies is a 99 cents store. No one wants to spend $2 for a poster board.
Anyways I was surprised to find out that the store, unlike Big Lots, offers one-stop shopping with a grocery section. I walked around and found out that they have literally everything a 99 cents store could offer...everything but a simple poster board! So frustrating!
Cashier wasn't very friendly and seemed like he hated his job. Go figure. -

This 99 cent store is a better one in the area. It's clean, neat, and the staff are pretty friendly.

99 cents store!!!!! Well why would you rate this place, you may ask? Well the difference between this place and others like back in Los Angeles is that it is by far the only one that has me impressed! It is the only one that I have found Kix Cereal in. KIX yes that corn puff one from General Mills. That deserves me mentioning this place. For sure.

As far as 99cents stores go this one takes the cake. It's super big and super clean. It's tidy! If you've ever been to a 99cent store you know that you're going to see pretty disheveled shelves and an over-all junkie store. Not at all at this location :)

Grand Opening was last week, Another "Recession Fighter Store" has come to La Verne. La Verne also has a Big Lots Store (about two blocks away). Located in shopping center with Von's market/gas station. The closest 99 cents only stores (before this store opened) are in Pomona, Azusa, and Montclair. "99 cents only store" is part of a chain.
