I don't love shopping at the 99 cents store because it's quite a mixed crowd, but I cannot justify over paying on certain items so I continue to head over there for the essentials. Toothpaste, tooth brushes, rubber gloves, laundry detergent, etc. you can't beat the 99 cent price! I get a 32 load laundry detergent that's just as good as anyone I've ever used and it's the best price ever! Thank you 99 cents only stores. You're always there when I need you.

I popped in here today vowing to myself not to spend a lot of money. I always go apeshit and end up buying produce with intentions of cooking something with it and inevitably it goes bad before I get a chance. Wasting food is a pet peeve of mine, I shed a tear for wilted spinach.
I needed some tp and milk and to see if they had coolant for my radiator and maybe a few yogurts but THAT'S IT, bucko! Whatever. I spent $31 and $8 on sunglasses alone. Hello, summer...
Among my other scores were Diet Coke (4 for a buck), Goldfish crackers, and hefty cans of Healthy Choice Chicken Noodle soup. No coolant for my car but I wasn't really expecting to find any there, I bounced across the parking lot to the Auto Zone and got it there instead.
Since my next two days are going to be spent at the beach with friends I don't even feel bad about my $8 sunglasses splurge, it's about time to get my bitchin summer underway. -

This place is just ok. I was just killing time in here looking for stupid knick knack items and found a few Marvel post-its I thought my friends kids would like. Still in search for that letter opener thing you just use to slide across the envelope but of course, they don't even know what I'm talking about. The cashiers are friendly for a Friday night and talks to customers. Seems like a few do come through here quite often like a supermarket. The cashier knows them by name. Very cool but just wanted to put this on the Yelp map. That's all.

One of the best store chains around Los Angeles. The closest 99cents store to me, it is a lot better than the one located in Lincoln Heights. A bit bigger.. A lot cleaner.. and the location doesn't have homeless people outside waiting to beg for me.. Albeit that isn't their fault, but the one in Lincoln Heights IS located by an alley.
I still have a fuss about this store still not accepting my American Express card.
