This place has a great selection of produce and food! *nom nom nom*
Sometimes it is cheaper to get produce here then it is at a regular supermarket.
What really amazed me about this place was that they started selling Atheno's Greek yogurt. Buying the same size yogurt container at a regular supermarket would have cost $3.99, but over here you just need to take the 3 out of the equation and you guessed it...99 cents!
They also have various varieties of regular yogurt as well as milk and eggs. Make sure you read the label on food expiration dates though. While the food isn't necessary going bad, it cuts it pretty close to the "sell by" date. So you may have to eat fast! :)
The fresh food selection does change, depending on the week. What maybe there one week, may not be there another. So you may have to come in multiple times to get a gist of what they have. But everything looks pretty fresh. And you can get lucky if they stock up on your favorite foods!
Nice place to come pick up some quick groceries and various other knick knacks. I've bought socks here too. Three pairs for 99 cents. While not the best quality, I haven't seen holes in them yet.
So come here, get some goods and be cheap. :) -

though i like coming here for supplies for parties or snacks i gotta say the produce area and freezer section not the best theres a very foul odor that will make you wanna gag it was so bad when i went we rushed through the store and left asap.
However despite that it is a ok place to go when you dont have alot of cash. But some of the freezer food is a bit questionable. -

Being cheap has never felt so good. OMG this place is so awesome they give free refills of awesome juice!!! Okay I don't know what that even means but I get really excited when I get a Hello Kitty pez dispenser for 99 cents.
The best part of this location is the groceries and produce. Today I bought Sara Lee Bread (the fancy wide kind, honey whole wheat with the little oat sprinkles on the top), mini blueberry bagels (also Sara Lee) and... drum roll please... DELICIOUS FRESH GREEN GRAPES!!! They're not even all janky looking or anything. I get excited when grapes are 99 cents A POUND. Forget that crap, I've found my new salvation and I will pray to the gods of cheap merchandise nightly at the altar of frugality!!! HURRAH!!!
Some of you might be like, "ewwwww... produce at the 99 cent store". Well you can just keep wiping your ass with twenties because fresh food doesn't need a designer label party people!!! Viva value!Listed in: Retail Therapy

GMIT: You still didn't buy eggs.
I've just gotten home from work, and now I need to get eggs. I don't remember why GMIT needs eggs so urgently, but I hop back in the car anyway.
99 Cent Store has medium eggs, $0.9999/dozen, limit 2. Cool.
They also have Portobello Mushrooms. I grab 2 packs because Portobellos make good burgers, especially when you add a beef patty underneath them.
I also grabbed some produce and a can of beer for beer-battered onion rings. I wanted a bottle of wine, but they only had the tiny airline bottles. Some of the bottles had tiny wine glasses attached to the cap. Party for one, I guess. -

Now don't pretend that you're too stuck-up to shop at a 99 cent store. I used to, I thought I was too good to spend my time and money here. I'm classy, I'm sophisticated, I shop at Target!
My mom was right though, the 99 cent store rocks! I thought there would just be a bunch of crap lying in the aisles. (Ok, there was.) But there is also some good stuff for cheap there!
Did you know they sell produce? You can get fruit and veggies for 99 cents!
Did you know they have some name-brand products that you'd find at the supermarket or large chain store? A small bottle of Tylenol....for a buck!
Did you know that they have some specialty items that are usually expensive? I found a whole section of sugar-free items (crystal light, cookies, gum) that would normally cost me a lot of money at a grocery store.
Lesson learned: listen to your mom -

This chain of stores rocks my world. Huge interior space, somewhat clean, great selection. . .I always find something I must have, or at least keep thinking about and must make a return trip for. Some of them currently have Lysol Disinfecting Hand Foam. I found this great Teriyaki A1 Sauce on another trip. For those of us from TX/LA, they have Tony Cacherie's side dishes. They even had a box of Flavor-Ice freezer pops for 99 cents. Talk about flashback to childhood. Also found Belkin ipod holders/covers for, you guessed it, 99 cents. Amazing.
I am not too proud to shop at the 99 Cent store anymore! -

I've gone in here twice to buy a soda and its pretty decent. The employees aren't rude and they have a good amount of things. Parking is very good too.
