About the Business
900 Degrees Wood Fired Pizza is the best and newest pizza restaurant in Fort Collins, CO. With dough and sauce made fresh daily to our award winning recipes, our pizzas get a great start. Then we smother them with rich mozzarella from a small dairy co-op in Wisconsin. The butterfat doesn't quite drip down your arm, but imagine the richest, tastiest cheese you've ever had on a pizza, and that's what you get. After putting only fresh, never frozen or canned veggies and the highest quality meats on your pizza, we put it into our unique wood and gas fired oven for about 3 minutes. When it's perfectly baked, we finish your pizza with fresh basil and freshly shredded Parmesan cheese. It's almost heaven on a plate. But save room for our signature Caesar salad. Its as close as can be to the original Caesar recipe as it was created in Mexico in 1924. We hope you like garlic, because it's not your mama's creamy Caesar! For dessert, you definitely want to consider our own Key Lime Pie or chocolate covered strawberries.

My son loved this place! It's close to our house and I wanted to support mid-town businesses.
Kids get to make their own pizza, which is nice because I was cooking with my son earlier in the day. The place is clean and the staff is very pleasant. The pizza is a bit ho-hum, kinda reminds me of the ready-mades at King Soopers. I was expected something fancier with the "wood-fire" tag, but I'm not sure what was different. As the mom of a 9-year-old, I've sampled a ton of pizza restaurants in the fort. I think they need to jazz up the offerings, in my humble opinion.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark L.Fort Collins, CO3970214Aug 8, 2014
Excellent pizza, wonderful and friendly atmosphere!!
First time visit and definitely coming back!! All the wait staff were extremely friendly and our pizza came out in 13 minutes. We had 1/2 white and 1/2 mushroom delight and it was absolutely delightful!!! We didn't drink but they have local beers on tap and wines by the bottle (wines all under $20). We also had caprese skewer appetizer which was delish!!
Please come out and support this new midtown FoCo restaurant like us, you won't be disappointed.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeffrey C.Loveland, CO18099141Apr 18, 2016Updated review

It is patently obvious that we completely dropped the ball serving you, and we apologize. All I can say is that we have replaced some of our staff and re-emphasized product and service training to others. I feel that we are better now than we were then, but only you can make that judgement if you feel like giving us another opportunity some day. Thanks for bringing this to light.
Sep 17, 2014Previous reviewI went by the other day around 2:30. I stood at the counter for 5-7 minutes waiting to be seated/helped. The staff was very nice once they noticed me. For the record, I totally understand getting your butt kicked at lunch and needing a little break after lunch. So I was okay with waiting a few minutes. I was really excited about going here. I love pizza and feel I know pizza like a pro. With that said I was very disappointed with 900... I went in expecting the best pizza in town. I'd been following these guys on Facebook since they opened. I thought I would try the Tuesday special (sausage slices for 2.25). I got 2 slices and waited about 5 minutes. I sat at the bar and got a pop. When the 2 slices showed up I was more than disappointed. 1. The slices are very small. Imagine a small pizza cut into 8th's. That's what you get for $2.25 each. Pretty weak. With that said I loved the fresh basil! Here was my biggest issue. These slices had obviously been sitting around for about 1-2 hours. The cheese was hard and there was little to no flavor. I could barely taste the sauce and the cheese tasted like it just came out of the microwave. Oh by the way, where's the red pepper??? No where to be found! Here's what the get 1 star for... A $2.49 pop that was filled once, yes once. Not even one refill. So 2 slices and a pop cost me 7.50 before tip (I gave them a dollar tip because I'm a nice guy.) I would go to pulcinella or Pablo's instead of 900 any day of the week. Sorry guys, but you need to at least offer your customers a fresh pizza and a refill for what you charge. The fresh basil and fresh parm is novel but it will never make up for the old pizza and 2.49 pop. Sorry guys, I was really excited, but you let me down. Best of luck!

For pizza in Fort Collins, there are much better places. Service was outstanding but the pizza and atmosphere left something to be desired... Deeply desired. The pizza was warm but not hot. I usually expect to have to wait a few minutes to dive in or risk the pizza mouth burn but this one was getting cold fast when it arrived. It seemed like it needed a bit longer in the oven. The veggie pizza has almost no sauce while the buffalo chicken had adequate sauce. The flavors of both pizzas were decent (except the veggie with its lack of sauce).
I don't know what I expected the interior vibe to be but it wasn't what it is, which is more like the cheap Mexican place next door. I was hoping it would be more like Black Bottle or William Oliver's -both made the best out of a shopping plaza location. Maybe they were going for an affordable family pizza place vibe? That's probably a more accurate description of how it seemed to me.
Edit after reading the comment from the owner: First, we let our server know as well and asked for some marinara sauce. We were brought a cold bowl of sauce. Second, we did tell the manager when he stopped by both of these things about the pizza. His response was, "well everyone likes something different," and that's it. We said "ok," and he walked away. It was like he only wanted positive feedback (don't we all?). He didn't ask about anything else other than how we heard about them. Yelp is a place to provide a review based on one's experience and opinion. Reader's can read positive reviews and negative reviews, but ultimately many understand that they're opinions. I debated on trying this place again but the mildly unprofessional comment from the restaurant pretty much sealed the deal that I won't.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

At 900 Degrees, as in most restaurants, our wait staff is trained to stop back at your table after delivering your food to make sure of the correctness of the order, the quality of the food and to see if there are any additional items you might need. If the manager is on site, he will also be stopping by your table to check on quality.
This is your chance to improve your dining experience. If your food is not at the right temperature for you, this is the time to inform your server. If there isn't enough sauce on your veggie pizza, this is the time to inform your server.
We are in the hospitality business. The only way we can be successful is to please you and make your dining experience exceptional. We will do anything which we can physically accomplish to make that happen. In your case, we would have gladly and happily re-made one or both of your pizzas in order to get them the exact way you want them. But we can't do that if you don't let us know. Putting up a bad review on Yelp might make you feel better later, but why not create a great dining experience for yourself and let us know at the moment so that we can please you? You passed up at least one, and possibly two opportunities to do that while you were in the restaurant.
As for our decor, we take great pride in being an affordable, family pizza restaurant where anybody, whether you are a house painter covered in your day's work, a stock broker entertaining a client or a family wanting a nice meal that Mom doesn't have to cook, can come in, be comfortable and enjoy a great meal. Our walls are adorned with original photographs of iconic Fort Collins scenes because we are locally owned, locally operated and we love Fort Collins. We're sorry that doesn't meet with your expectations, but we are not ashamed of our love of this city.
We are sprucing up the decor as we go along. We have new booths on order to replace the aging green ones in the dining room, and we have additional sound proofing planned to get rid of the few remaining echoes which happen on a crowded night.
We thank you for dining with us and we value your feedback. - Kristy B.Fort Collins, CO5084116Jun 15, 2015

One of Fort Collins' newest pizza joints has a prime location just south of campus, a couple doors down from Black Bottle Brewery. A casual eatery with plenty of seating and a small bar, the staff I interacted with was friendly and talkative, setting the service apart from other places I've been to in a good way. Not that much was required as I only got a single slice of the day for lunch, but the interaction was nice and left an impression.
The pizza is quite good, too. I went in a Friday when the slice of the day was their vegetarian and enjoyed it quite a bit. It wasn't quite what I expected, a New York-style with crust that's thicker than places like Casbah, Celestino's, or Pulcinella. The slice is a little smaller, too, though that's expected at a little more than $2 each. It's pretty good, though, and something I wouldn't mind trying again, maybe getting a full pizza next time, or their half pizza and drink lunch special. In any case, it's certainly entered my consideration for future pizza quests.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Andrew O.Amarillo, TX035Jun 28, 2015
We came here around noon for lunch and we were served by Andy! Andy was really nice and attentive. We started with the spicy wings which were amazing. Probably the best wings I've ever had to be honest and they were on lunch special for 3 something for 5 wings. We ordered a pepperoni pizza with jalapeños and bacon which arrived shortly after our wings came.. The pizza was superb and the crust perfect.... ;) Definitely recommend.

Decided to check out one of FoCo's new pizza joints and I was pleasantly surprised! The service was friendly and quick. From the time we placed our order to the time it showed up was only four or five minutes. The pizza had a really good Smokey flavor and was made with all fresh toppings. Overall really good and will be coming back soon!

We came for lunch. Come for lunch! The prices are fantastic. A pepperoni pizza and 2 drinks for only $8. It tasted delicious and fresh. We got a side of buffalo wings too and they were great! They came with blue cheese crumbles on them. Overall it seems like an underrated place!

Great atmosphere for a college town restaurant. Fair pricing for what you're getting, which is quality, FRESH ingredients - I'm not the expert, but it doesn't necessarily take one. Went in on a Saturday around 1:30, and I was expecting way more of a crowd, but only one couple showed up while I was there. I really hope that this place gets more customers than that, because it's a class act. If you're okay with spending a few extra bucks to get actual pizza, than this is the place to go.
I'm not exactly any other schmo, I was actually raised in New York City, so at the risk of sounding arrogant, I'm somewhat of an authority on the subject.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
