Alright, this is my go-to Ferndale liquor store. There are a lot of reasons why, and I shall explain them. But in short, I haven't found better. If there is better, someone PLEASE let me know.
9 Mile and Hilton Market is my friends preferred liquor store. They live about 3-4 blocks from there, and get their vodka there every week or so. I have been three times, usually for beer, and have found myself thoroughly impressed for a few reasons
First off, a great beer selection. 24 32oz cans for about $23? Yep. The usual suspects of the dirty 30 line? Yup. Very large microbrew selection? Yessir. Prices? They make you smile. Bunches.
Wine selection is good. Not overwhelmingly amazing, but very good. They always have something on special, always have a good selection between cheap and expensive. Overall, pretty impressed.
Liquor? The usual WALL-O-BOOZE, and at state minimums to boot. Has anything you'd ever need, short of Barenjager.
And the rest, such as mixers and customer service and all that are ace on too. Overall, a great choice if you live on the east side of Woodward or are heading to the area. I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes a good store owned by good people.Listed in: Liquor Stores!!

If you know Ferndale then you know there's no shortage of liquor stores. Since I've been living here, my friends and I have always called this shoppe "the Good Guys" for the service and the selection and most importantly the customer service. The guys behind the counter are always cool to talk to, they've got my second favorite micro brew selection and plenty of liquor from low to high end. If you need something that they don't have they'll order it for you.
Also, the pizza here is pretty good for liquor store pizza as are the subs. Check this place out. -

i love this place for two reasons. hard luck candy vodka (both red fish and root beer barrel) and valentine vodka. combine that with the fact that it's a short jaunt from my home and you have a winner.
Also, everytime i go in the guy behind the counter opens another register to help me faster. i don't know why he does it, but it makes me happy.
they have a huge selection of liquors and i'm sure anything you find hard to get they have or would be willing to order.
