I have been going to this establishment ever since they first opened.

ATMOSPHERE: Great, I think the new building is agreeing with the owners and business appears to be great. The decor is styled in the usual Mexican restaurant theme, but has more simplicity to it than most places.

FOOD: Good food and reasonably priced. Any of the combination dinners are more than enough to fill you up. If (as they say) you leave hungry, I think it is your own fault. I have had the breakfasts here and the only thing I complain about is they need to salt their eggs when they cook them. Is it me or are the portions shrinking?

DRINKS: Soda, Ice Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate (not the Mexican) and two Mexican drinks. I recommend the Pina.

Overall, I recommend this place to everyone.

When we went in, we thought it was going to be an authentic restaurant, it actually was a fast-food. Alright then.....so we're in there and we don't know whether we just seat ourselves or what, we ask the workers and they just look at us and then glance away/ ignore us! We immediately got out. What kind of restaurant ignores their customers?

The prices are a little steep. I do like this place better than La Fiesta. I know when I order a burrito it will be rolled up in a tortilla and the server won't tell me I should ask for a chimichanga instead if . The employees are pleasant enough. I like that they have a drive thru.

The only issue I have here is that they use a lot of garlic in their food. I always have super strong garlic breath after eating there.

We normally order the carne asada burrito. I believe when you order it, it plain. We have them add beans, rice and cheese. It's very filling. My son and I usually share one.

I am still hunting for a Mexican restaurant here that is as good as any I've had in LA.

I love Mexican food and this place is definitely  not Mexican food. I tried the chimichanga and thought it was one of the worst dishes I have eaten. The lettuce topping was wilted and the dish was just plain old nasty.

9 Beans is like a place you think is going to be really good but is just ok.

If you are looking for very American Mexican food this may be your place.   Unfortunately their salsa is very blah.

I wonder if they change the grease often enough.  My husband got the special once and he was paying for it all night.  My tummy has been unsettled after eating there as well.  :-/

I think the prices are a little steep for what you actually end up with.

9 Beans is slowly pulling itself out of the dark place it has been in my mind the past couple years.

High school lunch.. 9 Beans was the place to be. It was cheap & sooo yummy.  I lived off the beef & cheese quesadilla. Then they built a new fancy location, raised the prices, shrunk the portions, and made me sad.

Thankfully, they seem to be coming back to what they do best, making delicious, juicy, cheesy Mexican food. My family & I went to revitalize ourselves from shopping on Black Friday, and it was jam packed, not an empty seat. They opened up a banquet room for extra seating space, which I thought was very nice.
You have to practically shake the salsa out of them though, they really don't like giving it up, but my family likes it in mass quantities. I enjoy that they have a drive-thru now, none of that pesky getting out of the car business. The owners are from Tempe (Sun Devils!), hopefully they will annex to the Valley, now that they are on an upward swing!

This is hands down the best fast food Mexican joint I've been to.  I love this place and have eaten here over 50 times.

Drive through and sit down with plenty of seating, banquet in the back and out door seating our front.  Prices are ok but the food is the bomb!

Passed this place on the way to the hotel. One of the few places within a block or two, so thought I'd give it a try. The drive through speaker was hard to hear but the lot was clean and the menu board orderly.

I guessed that a single soft taco for $5 would be huge. It was more like a burrito than a taco. The tortilla split apart the second time I picked it up. No problem, I just scooped up the insides with some chips and picked a bit at the tortilla.

The carne asada burrito was just that - carne asada and nothing else in a flour tortilla. Good flavor though.

The order of chips and salsa came with 9 small containers of salsas - verde, rojo and pico.  I liked them all, but the pico was the best. The chips were great - crunchy but not greasy at all, some of the best from this sort of place I've had.

Definitely Americanized Mexican food, but I enjoyed it, and still have dinner for tomorrow in the hotel fridge (at $11).

Just really bad food, the chain looking building & cheese sauce in a dispenser should have been the clue to get out and find some real Mexican food. Rolberto's or even the taco bus looked better when we drove by. Unfortunately since we were driving through, we stopped at the first place we saw.
Unremarkable food & rude service. No stars for this place!
    stay away!

Regular type stuff like burritos, plus a torta, but with american style bread that is the consistency of sponge cake. Why do people insist on disgusting white bread, when there is real bread available like sourdough, walnut bread etc?

This is really is as good as it gets for a burrito. I have never been to a place quite like 9 Beans. It's pretty basic when it comes to your choices but it is delicious and can't be beat for an Americanized burrito.

I love 9 Beans! The freshness of their food and execution of their authentic recipies are just superb! And I love it that the tortillas are made onsite from scratch. And the hot chocolate just like "abuelita" used to make it. MMMMMM.

Don't let my mother hear this, but this is one of the very few places that can rival her cooking. And she is FAMOUS for her mexican cooking.
