86 Wong used to be my go to for Chinese take-out. But ever since 86 Fu Kee opened right across the street, I hardly go back. 86 Wong has good food and friendly staff. However the food quality has worsened over the years. The once friendly and lively staff is now easily irritated and dull.

Local, been fan of the food since it opened...
But over the years, food quality has declined, and the waiters are rude, and now...
They have a C rating.
Bleh. No longer eating here. -

Where can you get two mid-sized lobsters for $10?
"86 Wong" in Brooklyn.
If you are willing to trek to Bensonhurst, you can dine for less than $30 for two including the lobster meal. This may be a seasonal or promotional deal. And no, they are not serving you expired lobsters. Only fresh lobsters.
In the past, I ate at 86 Wong many times for lunch and dinner. The food has always been delicious and they serve your dishes fairly quickly. 86 Wong specializes in Cantonese cruisine. Therefore, we decided to try the lobster meal - stir fried scallion lobsters cooked just right. We also selected a few side dishes such as Chinese vegetable and beef chow fun.
We were very satisfied with our meal and their efficient service. The waiter wasn't rude and didn't rush us unlike some of their fast food counterparts such as Big Wong in Chinatown. Be mindful that 86 Wong only accepts cash. Another cheap good eats in Brooklyn - we will certainly come back for congee and pan fried noodles next time.
At the end of the day, I pose a question - how much do you value your time? Dining requires time and money. In this particular case, 86 Wong is a win win because you get the most value for your time. -

This is where I go when I crave for authentic Chinese food. This local Chinese Restaurant has been there for a long time and their quality of food has been superb! I love their portion of orders. HUGE!
I love their "Steamed Rice Roll with Fried Bread", especially when it first arrive to my table, hot and fresh from the wok! YUMMY! Again big portion compared to other restaurants.
Their Beef / Chicken with Broccoli, Beef with String Beans, Hong Kong Style Beef Stew Lo Mein are all great!
Another outstanding part that I like about this restaurant is their Chinese Bar-B-Q poultry. Roasted Pork and Roasted Duck are my favorites! Can't get enough of those BBQs! -

Came back here again because of the frustration with the other restaurants. Once again very happy with the food that was served, portions are huge and very worth it. Great value despite how the place looks. You know what they say, never judge a restaurant by their store front.

I believe that this place exploits its connection to Big Wong in Chinatown. Nevertheless, it's still a good imitation, and more than in just the name.
I love grabbing take-out lunchboxes from here. The portions are pretty fulfilling, and they come with soup. Dining in is fine too, as that's the best way to enjoy their noodle soups or congee. Their fried cruellers are a lot like Big Wong's, too.
The prices are worth it. For a party of 6-10, you can order a huge variety of dishes (around 8-10) and still have it come out to be around $10 per person. Also, you can get a pair of lobsters for just $9.99 (due to increase of Chinese restaurants around the neighborhood)! -

I would rather die of starvation if I had to eat here again. The food is acceptable I would say. So why 1 star?
I came here with my girlfriend for a breakfast before school. We ordered our food and waited. Before we were served the waiter was picking his nose right next to us like its normal and wiped it somewhere on himself. I didn't have an appetite after seeing that. If the person is able to do that I am guessing it is a habit. If it were you what would you rate the place after seeing that? -

86 Noodles is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I have eaten at there many times and I found the food to be delicious. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very polite and friendly. An average meal for two will run around $27.00.

I love this place! Where can I go in Bensonhurst for authentic Chinese cuisine? Here, that is. I can come in to get a platter of rice and roast pork complete with deep crispy(fried) rind and also roast duck. I also have the chance to get congee(rice stew) or even wonton noodles. They have similar dishes to Chinatown all at affordable prices. Even after tax, tip, and beverage, I never spend more than $20 when I come here. You can get full by ordering one dish or even two if you're really hungry. I like their waitstaff and the fact that there is no wait to get in. I like the flavor and taste of the barbecued pork and other meats that they serve. It feels like I am in Chinatown! The food does come in big portions, so you may have to take some to go, but that is never a problem. =)

I dedicate my first review to 86 Wong ! What I love about this place is their quick service and great food of course. My favorites are their Peanut Congee and Fried Cruller wrapped with rice noodle. Not feeling for a congee? Their Roast Pork Over Rice is excellent, make sure you ask for their ginger/scallion sauce.

Recommendations: Fish filet congee. Churn fun. Roast pork *droolz* or roast pork in churn fun. yummm.
If you order dish with a box of rice during lunch time, they give you soup of the day. (around $4-5 bucks). Good deal, great food.
Highly recommended. -

This is prolly the best congee place out of all the Wongs. I love getting a minced beef congee or the duck congee with a fried dough and some dim sum (churn fun) if you're lucky enough that they didn't run out yet! You just can't go wrong with this combination.
I have also tried their noodles here before and they are delicious and perfect!
No complaints whatsoever here at all, except for congee doesn't fill me up so I always have to order something else along with it. -

The food here is as good as Chinatown's "Big Wong Restaurant" food. One of the best place to eat.

Authentic Cantonese food in Brooklyn. This place has many options - from roast pork to fried noodles. They also do delivery. Here's their menu in case you're interested: http://bit.ly/1I0F1g. I personally enjoyed their roast pork - one of the best in Brooklyn!

I love how they make the thousand egg congee and their wonton noodle soup. I don't live nearby but I will hop on the train and come here if I am craving any of these two. I live by 8th ave Chinatown, and I tried a wonton noodle soup from one place and it just wasn't the same. Some places just make their wontons with pork but this place adds shrimp which I absolutely love.

This place is your normal chinese restaurants. I got the wonton haw fun. The wontons were better than I expected. The service is quick and prices are cheap.

To the aboe reviewer, they do deliver but just within a certain range and price minimum i believe.
The breakfast is great here. Try the fish slice congee or the deep fried dough to start off your morning. For your other meals, they offer a variety of hearty meals at reasonable prices and large portions.
One of the highlights is the BBQ meats. Try the roast duck, the "pi-pa" duck, or the classic roast pork, full of boneless sweet BBQ goodness.
I would recommend this place to everyone for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a subway station and bus depot right outside the store and its situated in a very family oriented neighborhood. -

This place is probably considered the brooklyn "BIG WONG" from chinatown. The congee is similar but still missing some flavor to be like BIG WONG. Also i order there roast pork noodles..it was good.
