I came back to yoga after a 5 year hiatus this summer and I may be a bit of an addict at this point. 8 Limbs is great, and since they have 4 studios, there's no shortage of classes and times to choose from. The Phinney studio is closest to my house, but I've also been known to shoot over to Wedgwood once a week.
They do an awesome two-month unlimited deal for first time members that's just over 100 bones, which means even if you only go once a week, each class is still cheaper than a drop in. I would recommend doing the intro deal and sampling as many different classes as possible. All the teachers are exceptional, with varied styles and areas of focus, so figure out what you like. BUT, I would totally encourage everyone to try at least a few classes with Dawn (her Tuesday morning class is my absolute fave). Her ability to breakdown each pose and really make you understand the mechanics of what you're doing is INCREDIBLY helpful, and will give you a deeper understanding that you can take with you to other, more flow-based classes.

I highly recommend the Vinyasa Flow 2 class! Great class that keeps you moving (reminds me a lot of Power Hot Yoga). And we even did handstands in class.

The front desk staff are super friendly & helpful, as are the instructors. There are two studios, and even a little yoga boutique. Loads of free parking in the neighborhood. And they offer many classes per day, 7 days a week. Great newsletter!

I had a chance finally to come here again after their opening gala 2 winters ago.

As always, with  8 Limbs yoga studios the studio is nice and spacious, clean, very friendly with knowledgeable front desk staff. They call you back if you leave a message!! There is a little gift/supply shop in front. They have many mats and props which you may use.

i chose to take a class from Dawn, whom I had taken from at another studio. Geesch! It does not have to be hot yoga to sweat doing yoga!  Of course, it is up to the practitioner- resting is always an option, as valuable as going for it hard!  Dawn is sweet and humble, yet so very experienced and knowledgeable. Her words set you up and allow you  to flow in your own ability.  Her attention to detail as well as breath instruction is so good and brings you to an awarenes sof what is important.

*** NOTE*** Brent's 630 AM classes include 10 minuts of meditation at the beginning. **

Seattle is a mecca for so much good yoga.. let's get going!

I have been very impressed with this studio overall.  The class times are perfect for working people with any schedule (early morning, early evening and late evening classes M-F).

I have tried most of the evening and weekend classes and my favorite is the yoga for athletes; really great class!

I would like to see them have more variation between the classes (not enough of a difference between level 1 and level 3 classes), but that is my only complaint... and it is minor.

The studio is beautiful, go check it out!

8 limbs has been a wonderful place to practice yoga and improve my health.  The teachers are very well versed in the world of yoga, and have gone out of their way to learn about my particular limitations, as well as celebrate my strengths as a yogi.  I plan to start their teacher training in the fall, and look forward to diving deeper into the practice of yoga!

This fairly new 8 limbs yoga studio is pretty nice. It has two rooms and lots of nice new yoga equipment. The atmosphere is pretty great and the teachers know thier yoga. Its not too crowded like some studios but this may change as it becomes more popular as it is still pretty new and developing a following. I find it odd there is no changing room and only one bathroom though so at times not having time to change does keep me from making it to yoga. I plan to check out yoga for athletes in the near future, sounds like an interesting class. Perhaps a changing room has been added since my last visit, which will definetely make this a worthwhile studio.
