Georgetown might be the place where you can find more european, especially french influenced items, food and atmosphere.
I was lucky to pass by G-twon on my way from Crystal city yesterday afternoon and saw this open market. Along the wisconsin ave., many shops were having stands with discounted clothes, kitchen items and books, of course, french bread, wine and food.
It was fun to do stroll around each stand to check out unique glasswares, fabrics, and yes, clothes and fabulous bread/desserts.
Don't miss this open-market since it comes only once a year.
PS: You don't have to speak french to know or buy things at this market. how cool is that? :)
