I luckily was the winner of a haircut, shave, and scalp massage from Jaimee McGrew at this salon. I really enjoy this place and Jaimee is a very wonderful stylist who really took the time to make sure that I got a cool haircut. I just sort of let her come up with a plan and I was very impressed with how she cut my hair and gave me a sharp new look. It's a very comfortable salon and I will now become a regular to come here and get my hair cut. As a real bonus they will give you beer and wine while you wait. The parking is convenient for the pearl district and they play cool music. I recommend any guy who is a professional and needs to get a sharp look, should go see Jaimee.

77 Salon is great and I really like the location and the art.

However, I LOVE Robert Sean Miller! The guy is a wizard when it comes to hair. I have been going to him for almost 6 years now and I fear the day that he should ever move or stop styling hair.

Robert took my over-processed hair and turned it into something I truly feel could not look any better. The color, cut, bounce, texture, all perfect. The very first time he styled my hair I felt amazing. Normally I would get my hair done and it would take weeks for me to feel it looked okay.

The best part about Robert is that he knows what looks better on me than I do. Every great stylist should hold this quality.

Over the years, Robert has become a friend and knows my mom and husband...who have also been styled by him.  When I got married I literally would have changed wedding dates in order to make sure Robert and crew were available to do the job.

I would recommend him to anyone that will listen.

Amanda Ryle is the best hairstylist I have ever had, period. This location is fantastic--you walk in, get a beer or wine, and RELAX. Seriously, do yourself a favor, and go see Amanda. You won't be disappointed.

I needed a salon for my wedding, which was on a Sunday. Although 77 Salon is not open to the public on Sundays, they brought in stylists and champagne early in the morning for myself and my 6 attendants. They made us mimosas and had great music playing. They even let me bring in a friend with a massage table!

Josiah was my makeup artist and he was fantastic. I had a trial with him a few days before for my airbrush makeup. He was professional, fun, and worked magic! When I asked for a bit less of something, he was happy to adjust. My wedding morning started off in his chair, and it was a great way to wake up!

Kylie did my hair, and that of half of my wedding party. She was bubbly and sassy, and after showing her just a few inspiration photos, she gave me the most romantic (and sturdy!) wedding hair! She pinned in my veil and comb and gave me my first real "bride" moment of the day. She did a great job with my 'maids. They each looked different, classy, and their hair was not your typical prom 'do. Very modern but sleek.

Sara owns the place and came in for some hairstyling as well. She was fun and did a great job with the updo's, especially helping an indecisive bridesmaid find a great style she loved. She also makes a great mimosa!

I chose 77 because of the great Yelp reviews and their willingness to walk me through the logistics and timeline more than once over the phone. (Planning a wedding across the country is stressful enough, and they were great and accommodating!) The staff have mad skills and great energy. They made what could have been a nervous morning into great fun. I forgot to use a gift certificate toward my wedding bill, but see it as a great excuse to come back and visit!

77Salon  is fabulous. It's nestled right in the heart of the Pearl District and is easily walkable from downtown.  Now, coming from Seattle - I'm used to a lot of high-end and a lot of low-end, but not anything that meets in the middle... But 77Salon  is the perfect blending of High-end-meets-classy-bar.  See, 77Salon  serves beer and wine while you get your locks trimmed... and I've got some seriously long hair.

The layout is excellent, their staff is always friendly and awesome.  A huge thank you to KILEY who has time and time again given me the look of a Norse God who hath descended from Valhalla.  Seriously, she does great color and great cuts - she's like a smoking hot Edward Scissorhands.  Recommended for both ladies and gentlemen.

So book your next hair appt. at 77 Salon, you will not be disappointed! Moderately priced too!

Until 77, I had a severe case of salon-fright. It manifested in the paradox of needing a hip trendy haircut, yet not feeling hip and trendy enough to prance into a pretentious salon that could undertake the daunting job.  Salon 77 blew me away.  From the moment I walked down the stairs and into the urban pearl salon, I felt something I have never before felt at a salon: comfortable!

Prior to 77-izing my hair, I was convinced, like most, that I had "the worst hair ever". But every time I leave Salon 77, I'm confident that I have the hottest hair cut in town. During my three visits, I have experienced actual hair styling rather than just a cut - and finally I can sit back, relax, and let the artists do what they do best.

Maybe it's the addicting scent of fresh brewed coffee and minty shampoo, maybe I'm a sucker for comfy couches and cool people, but I'm hooked.  I highly recommend 77 to any and all.  Chop on 77, chop on.

When 5 stars is your sister coming to your house and giving you the most amazing cut and color... while you watch movies in your pjs... (why did I move away???) 4 ain't too shabby!
In a moment of desperation, I scheduled an appointment with an unknown stylist. There are some things I readily seek to change up regularly, my stylist is not one of them. Needless to say, I went in with a bit of trepidation. Needless, indeed. I LOVE my color and cut. Michael did a marvelous job on both my cut and color and even put up with my celiac issues. Plus I had a great time chatting! I'll definitely be going back.

I went to see Kylie when I was in town briefly.  Not only was Kylie very nice and down to earth, but she gives a truly fine haircut.  I still have not found someone that I like in New York City and have been so tempted to hop a plane back to Portland.  Kylie was able to take my very non-specific instructions and somehow read my mind while asking me questions about my lifestyle to see what I will be able to maintain.  The icing on the cake was that the bill came to under 50 bucks (in 2008)!  Kylie is not just someone who cuts hair... she is a hair artist!  Hands down best haircut and salon experience ever.
Hey Kylie, will you move to NYC??

All I can say is, "Meh, I've experienced better."

After reading all the positive reviews, I thought I'd give it a shot.  What have I got to lose, except for a bad hair cut, which will take months to grow out, right?

This place is so over rated.

First, parking in the Pearl is a major pain in the derrière.  Get there plenty in time to find parking.  I booked an appt. with Tadimdia because she came highly recommended.  Next time, I'll consider the source.  She talked nonstop about nothing.  It was a painful hour to sit through.  The end result, she didn't listen to what I wanted and only pretended to understand what I wanted and just nodded constantly and kept saying stuff like, "um hmmm....yeah, I know, I get it, I got it....we'll fix it.  All the while talking nonstop!  I can be friendly and have things to share too, but I don't think I got a word in edgewise.

I wasn't very happy with the outcome.  One kinda expect miracles with the hype and the money we girls dish out to have gorgeous hair, don't we?  Am I right ladies?  Any way, I heard she's moved to another salon.  You can bet I won't follow her or recommend her to anyone I know, unless of course you don't mind listening to endless gibber jabber about nothing, paying for an expensive cut, and ending with undesirable results.

I love this place..and I love my new haircut!
All I asked for was - I want to cut off a few inches of my long hair and wear a trendy short hairdo like Jen Aniston in Friends. My hair styler suggested I dont go too short because that would be a drastic change. I resisted at first but went ahead with her suggestion. I didnt look into the mirror for the next 30 minutes, well because I could not after being turned around.. and then tada.... my jaw dropped and guess what, my husband's too!!!
I am totally going back to this place.

    Just call me Chunk!

Overall, my experience there was fine. The receptionist was friendly, helpful, all that. The salon itself was stylish and comfortable enough, easy to find, etc. My stylist was nice, not huge on making conversation but that's okay with me. So all that stuff was okay.

It's the haircut that prompted the 2 star rating. I have thick, coarse, wavy hair - and I make this abundantly clear to whomever I speak with when scheduling appointments with a new salon. I asked for someone who is good with curly hair, and am pretty sure she ignored that request and just picked someone who had an opening.

The stylist: In trying to thin my hair out and layer it, she managed to cut a rather large chunk out on one side that I didn't really notice until I got home and re-washed it (to style it properly). The top layers are so short that they curl up a lot more than the rest, which leaves me looking a lot like an unfortunate female Peter Frampton poodle impersonator.

I have apparently moved to Ponytail City, and will reside here until it grows out enough that I can slink back to my former salon and bashfully admit that I cheated on them in order to get a faster appointment.

    Never again!

Make an appointment with Susy Priske Gallegos right now.  She is part down to earth mom, part rock star, part cool friends.  I have had two bad experiences in Portland and finally stumbled upon Susy one early weekend morning.  She immediately understood my hair (jew-fro gone bad in this weather) and that I was in the midst of a bad haircut that needed to grow out but needed to look good at the same time.  She helped me get color (gloss) that was inexpensive but awesome and gave me a great cut and always fits me in when I call at the last minute.

Go see Susy Priske Gallegos right now.  You will so glad you did.

Interesting to read reviews before posting my own. While I empathize with the low-ranking review-writers, who's stylist "left the building" i can only say that I'm grateful for the new and internationally acclaimed leadership that came in . No ego from my Crew-certified stylist trainer, she's still in it for passion. Consistency is something I've experienced at 77, after 20+ years of deal-hopping yet unable to commit to a salon. I've sat in multiple chairs at 77 (not just Sarah's) and have always left feeling truly STYLED.

New year, new attempt to find the right stylist for me. I know there's often ramp up time in hitting a groove with a stylist so I'm always prepared to not love my cut or color until a few months into the relationship. I have also been fooled into prolonging a relationship w/ an unreliable stylist by getting one good cut out of 3 or 4 so I keep going back in the hopes I'll get lucky. So I wanted to get some time under my belt at 77 before writing a review.

I started seeing Mandy in January and each successive cut and color has been as good if not better than the last. She listens and communicates well and I always leave satisfied. My very honest (read: opinionated) friend even complimented my hair - a big win!

I often think there's a secret code or stylist language that I haven't mastered because prior to Mandy my Portland hair experiences had been disappointing and frustrating. If there is another hair language, Mandy is bi-lingual.

NOT recommended for male patrons!!  I don't even think I saw a pair of clippers in this whole establishment, aside from a battery-charged trimmer you'd find on Amazon for $8.97.  (Which my stylist neglected to use on my overgrown sideburns, I might add.)  Not that you need clippers to cut men's hair, but watching my stylist attempt a routine fade-job with a pair of jumbo-sized sheers was downright cringe-inducing -- and so was my final cut.

Okay, so I stumbled into an estrogen-rich environment where I clearly didn't belong.  That's my own mistake.  However here are a couple other minor critiques that support my 2-star (for men) review:

    1.  I was asked to fill out a personal information card BEFORE getting my haircut.  From a girl's perspective, I would relate this to having some random guy come up and immediately ask for your phone number without any small talk or preamble.  Oh well, I gave them my spam e-mail address and phone number anyway.

    2.  On my mid-cut walk over to the shampooing sink, my stylist had to stop and help a customer who was waiting at the front desk.  I really didn't mind this at all, but it seemed a tad inappropriate nonetheless.  Let's get someone working that front desk, folks.  Which leads me to my third and final point:

    3.  After my cut, my stylist escorted me to the front desk where she also served as my billing agent.  Okay no big deal.  My "cut" (or trim, rather) was $30.  I can live with that for a one-time visit.  But before processing my card, she asked me "How much would you like to add on to that?"  Talk about presumptuous.  I tipped 20% as a farewell gift.

Okay, so I have no doubt this place is FABULOUS for women of the Pearl.  But guys, your business is really best taken elsewhere.  If you do end up here by chance though, I should note there's a pretty cool hat store just around the corner that may be worth visiting afterwards.

My search for Portland's best men's hair stylist continues...

ROBIN is now at Green Salon

At the risk of having to book with her months in advance, I have to rave about Robin.  I love her!  No one has ever been able to work with my hair this well!  I have thick, coarse asian hair that is naturally wavy/curly (and I can get some good curl in it).  Needless to say, anyone who has attempted to do layers to thin out my hair has always botched it up, so I've had a tendency to shy away from more edgy up-to-date cuts and hope that length=heavy=somewhat tame.

Not anymore!  Robin is a wiz w/long hair and most recently a hot edgy a-line bob that I thought I could never wear (at the risk of looking like a mushroom head...been there). She's been my stylist for 2 years and I can't imagine going to someone else.

I was a very loyal client to 77 for years. It was my go-to spot for haircuts, blowouts, and eyebrow shaping. Over the course of the past few years, it's slipped and all of the top talent has left and moved on to other salons. The salon itself has changed fairly drastically, as the new manager is clearly targeting male clientele (she apparently came from Hair M). The installation of beer taps and a huge TV in the setting that was once filled with upscale female clientele is not only bizarre, but off-putting. I've since left and followed my stylists to their new salons. Additionally, one of my stylists moved to California and didn't bother informing her clients. Now that's just bad business, and I hold the salon responsible for this. The talent has left the building.

I could not be more excited about Madeleine Roosevelt at 77 Salon.  I had my trial run through for my wedding hair and makeup with her last night and she really hit it perfectly.  She is very skilled at her art and anyone needing bridal hair or makeup should really go to her.

The salon its self is fantastic!  We walked in and were offered wine before they really knew who we were there to see.  Such a warm welcome (from who we found out after the fact was the owner).  They have plush seating areas for waiting and a super friendly staff who checked in on us until Madeline was ready for me.

The place is super clean and the facilities were awesome.  They have a great concept going there.  I would definitely come back here to get a normal haircut and would recommend Madeline for any of your event hair or makeup services.  I'll be using her in August for my actual wedding, but cou dnot have been more thrilled with my trial run.

I lived in Seattle for six years, bouncing around from stylist to stylist, on a continual hunt for The One.  More often than not, I'd walk away with orangish highlights that were supposed to be flame red, or looking like a porcupine instead of a pixie (I mean, they both start with "P" so maybe she just didn't understand me), or layers that made me look like I was wearing a Farrah Fawcett wig that had been left in an alley and rained upon, or with a general feeling of discontent.  When I moved to Portland two months ago I was terrified of going through another round of awful cuts.  So terrified in fact, that I waited until my roots had gone from Sienna Miller to Kim Mathers, I was scanning our employee handbook to see if wearing a bandanna to work fell into the "business casual" category, and was seriously contemplating driving for 3.5 hours to have my previous stylist fix my hair.  And then I found Salon 77 (thank you, Yelp).  I have to admit, I was slightly dubious because I thought of myself as more of a South East type of girl as opposed to Pearl District, but their logo (what can I say, I like things with flames) convinced me to give them a call.  Unlike some hip/trendy salons I've been to, the receptionist was uber sweet.  She heard the desperation in my voice when I called and managed to squeeze me in that day, gave me directions when I got lost (NE Glisan versus NW Glisan...ooopsies), and didn't let one giggle escape when I sheepishly poked my head out of the changing room and asked "Wait...I'm not supposed to get completely undressed before I put on this robe thingy...right?"  (Note-the answer is No).  The salon has a chic loft feel - high ceilings, hardwood floors, rad urban artwork on the walls, yummy coffee, and plush couches.

My appointment was with Mandy, who asked all the right questions (short term plan, long term plan, history of hair, curly or straight, etc), listened intently, and gave me her opinion in a non-pushy way.  I explained that my goals were to get rid of the aforementioned highlights, do something (please god anything) to ease the agonizing process of growing out my hair, and that I needed a low maintenance cut because...well because I'm not exactly a morning person and really feel that 45 minutes is better spent sleeping than blow drying, straightening, and dealing with product.  Mandy suggested layers, and correctly read the expression on my face as panic (see reference to bad Farrah Fawcett wig).  She reassured me that they would be subtle, give my hair shape and body, and would work both straight and wavy.  Since I was about two days away from wearing a bandana to my job, company dress code policy be-damned, I figured it would be wise to trust the professional.  One hour later...my hair was a rich deep brown color (as an added bonus the dye she used didn't have that potent chemical smell, so I wasn't high from the fumes wafting from my head), my scalp was tingly from the minty shampoo and awesome massage, and my cut was perfect - flattering, low maintenance, and edgy without being trendy.  Throughout the process Mandy made sure I was supplied with the latest gossip mags, and was friendly and chatty while still respecting my need to find out if Brad and Angelina are really splitting up.  I left with another appointment scheduled with Mandy and $120 poorer (including cut, color, and tip).  It was up there in the "Best $ I've Ever Spent" Category...the others being $15 sunscreen for the Vegas poolside (oh wait, that's money I should have spent but didn't), $130 for the perfect denim, and $14 to see Fugazi play two shows.

I discovered this hair saloon  by accident.  During my venture to "First  Thursday" this month at the Pearl, I went to an art gallery across the street from Pizza Schmizza.  I checked to see the art display they had this month.  After I browsed, I saw another door entrance.  I went in and saw a ton of ladies dancing and having a great time.  I went inside and got a glass of wine.  The music was entertaining and certainly got everyone hyped up.  I took a seat and relaxed a  bit.  A woman came by and sat next to me to chat.  Her name was Sarah and she worked at the saloon.  We talked about various subjects  then we came down to talking about hair and I told her I was very pick on who cuts my hair.  She was  very sincere and she explained to me on what they do at the saloon.  She didn't force me to get a haircut, but I was in a very good mood, that and the alcohol was kicking in after a few glasses too.  I had her sign me up since I needed a haircut a week later.

I made it to my appointment at 11:15 AM.  The place was mostly empty and I saw Sarah right away.  She took me to her station and put on that black thingy that covers my clothes.  After doing that, she offered me various  beverage options including tea and wine; I chose the red wine.  She washed my hair thoroughly and then went back to her station.  She paid close attention to my instructions and she took great care in making sure how short I wanted haircut.  I was intrigued she used a razor blade to cut the top of my hair.  It felt weird at first at her tugging at my hair, but I soon relaxed with the wine in hand.  After finishing up, she washed my hair thoroughly again and massaged my head.  She then took a hot towel to cover my face to clean up all the hair, great touch.  She then put some stuff in my hair to give it a nice shine.  I was impressed she the style I wanted.  The price is steep for a hair saloon, $40 plus tip.  It was definitely worth the experience.  I will have to see how my hair will last; hoping to push 2 months plus since my hair grows really fast.

I was very happy with my first experience at 77 in the Pearl District.   I followed my favorite Hair Stylist and Make-Up artist in Portland, Madeline Roosevelt to this trendy spot and walked out feeling great after a cut and full highlights.  The salon location itself is fun for people watching and  they offer complimentary wine and beer while you're there.

Make an appointment with Madeline when you go to 77!  I have had hair, make-up, facials, nails and just about every service you can name at all the trendy spots around town (including Dosha and the Grand Salon Spa) but Madeline stands out in the crowd.  She is hands down the best colorist in town, natural but stylish, my color is always just what I explain I want to her and then turns out better.  My cut is trendy but totally me, because she listens to what I want as a customer.  Madeline also did my make-up for my wedding (as well as all my bridesmaids and our mothers) and I get complements from my wedding album on how pretty and natural my make-up looked for my special day.  She came to us with all of her tools for that service, which made it that much more perfect.

Go see Madeline at 77 now!  Have a glass of wine and relax, she treats you right!

My only complaint about this salon is the Pearl District Parking.  There is 3 hour parking on Glisan in front of the salon, so come early.

Update 1/23/11 - Madeline has moved to the National Beauty downtown Portland.

Small child just told me that I have "beautiful mom hair." I'm not sure what that means (other than that my child is a total suck up), but my beautiful mom hair is all thanks to the lovely folks at Salon 77. I had a hair freak-out earlier this summer, went in for some color, got talked into thermal hair straightening instead by Nickol, blew half of my annual bonus getting said hair straightening, and never looked back.  Two months later, after I adjusted to my new hair texture and stopped doing a Vidal Sassoon-style hair flip whenever I saw a mirror - I broke away from my textbook Aveda elevated bob and got a choppy cut with long bangs from Lincoln. Two months after that (today), after I adjusted to my hair actually not traumatizing me on a daily basis, I finally went back to Nickol for some very subtle highlights, and my hair looks like it just got pampered at a classy spa at a beach resort somewhere. Salon 77 isn't cheap, but if you've got problem hair, go see these people. They'll fix you good.

This was the first salon that I tried after moving to Portland and it was selected based on all of the positive reviews it had garnered from Yelp and Citysearch.  My experience there was HORRIBLE.  I had two consecutive appointments--the first to get my eyelashes dyed and the second for a hair cut.  I am very fair (red hair, very light brows and lashes) and the woman who dyed my lashes managed to get the dye on one of my eyebrows and then didn't do anything to correct the situation (or even bother to MENTION IT).  While sitting in the stylists' chair to get my hair cut, I noticed that the center portion of one of my eyebrows was dark brown and stood out pretty badly from the rest of the almost-blonde brow.  Even the stylist noticed it!  The stylist was quiet, but efficient (some would say aloof, but seemed to know what he was doing), but about a week later I noticed that the left side of my hair was obviously longer than the right side.  To top off this experience, as I waited through this awful cut, trying to figure out what the devil had happened to my one eyebrow, I had to listening to another stylist and her client discuss how her aunt/cousin/friend is a nurse and told her on the down low that most of the maternity wards in local hospitals are unable to help newborns who are in distress after delivery.  The conversation was extended and graphic.  And I was sitting next to her visibly EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT.   I will never, never go to this place again.

I've been going here since I moved to Portland in 2000 (back when it was Aphrodite).  Finding a good hairstylist is so difficult for me.  I want someone who does a great job but also can carry on a great, educated conversation.  I've done a fairly decent job of finding someone who could cut my hair but never have I found someone to carry on a great conversation while doing so.  Then I met Patti Green.  Patti has been fabulously cutting and coloring my hair for the past four years (the best I have yet to receive!).  She moved here from NYC about four years ago and I was one of her first clients.  Not only is she incredibly talented, she's just an all-around cool chick.  When I sit in her chair, it's like chatting with a great girlfriend for three hours.  Did I mention she does an amazing job???  She also cuts my husband's hair and it's never looked so good.  Patti is a hair goddess and our family loves her.

I also am a client of Mahria Martinez.  If a girl can make a living from waxing people's eyebrows, you know she has to be good.  Mahria is incredibly thorough and bubbly.  I've been getting my brows waxed since I was 19 and they always seemed nicely groomed but somewhat flat.  For the first time in my life, Mahria has been able to accomplish a nice, natural arch in my brows.  She's absolutely amazing!

Aside from these two fabulous ladies, the salon is just a cool place.  It's in a funky basement space with windows to the street (where people often look in), a monthly rotation of original art from local artists and wine served upon arrival.

I've been in Portland for over two years now and can't find a great haridresser. An acquantiance recommended Salon 77 - try Mandy she said. Mandy is very pleasant, I'll give her that. But as a hairdresser...? I opened the conversation by explaining my hair "history" and what I wanted - highlights,  a good cut to flatter my elongating, maturing  face, something that would brighten my overall pale and washed out look. She immediately decided on what tint/color I shoud have and went off to mix it - no discussion, no explanation, no education about what colors would work best for my skin tone, no comments about my hair quality, etc. Okay, I am a trusting soul, and when I asked her what color she would suggest is best for me, all she said was, "dark blonde" (I am a natural blond). She wrapped my hair in foil and I sat without heat to let it set - a good thing since my hair is so fine and damages easily. The she trimmed my hair - lots of using the "razor" scissors, which is NOT a good thing for my hair - it ends up looking more fly-away and spindly (and it does now - thanks!).  Shouldn't  she know this? I know this and I am not a trained profesional!  When she "styled" my hair, it was pasted down on my head - not becoming for most of us. The highlights begin half an inch down from my roots (and I just paid for this?), very inconsistently placed, and to boot, along my temple on one side only, which against my darker color makes me look as though I am graying. Also, she did not initiate ANY conversation with me - not once. I'm not the kind who wants or needs to chatter away with hairdressers, but a little interest and establishing rapport with customers is a good thing. The only good thing I can say is that she and the receptionist were very pleasant and easygoing. That being said, I do not recommend this salon - or to be fair, this hairdresser. However, a slaon is only as good as its providers, so...
I could have had the same quality service for 1/4 of the price -- if I wanted mediocre.

Wow!!!   I had the best experience here. Everyone is friendly and the salon is in a great area. I live in California but had my wedding in my hometown of Portland. Was recommended by my sister. Let me tell you Sarah Adams did an A-Mazing job on my hair and also of my bridesmaids. Each style was totally different but fit in beautifully with the theme of my wedding. So pretty! Tons of compliments. Sarah really listened to my ideas and helped me figure out what worked best for me. I danced the night away and my hair still looked fab by the end of the night. Can't thank her enough.

i got my hair for my wedding done here (and my mom and sister too).  they were good--friendly and worked with my cranky-pants sister (worst maid of honor, ever :).  liked the 'do, and it lasted for hours and hours--stayed up even when my dress fell apart from all the dancing. :)

Ok, I'm so sad to write this review.  I picked Salon 77 because it's in a very trendy location, had good enough reviews and was expensive - all equals to me that it would be just the cut I wanted (I don't like spending a lot, but I will if the quality is worth it).  So I went, loved the ambiance and the scene and all the girls were nice.  Here's my problem (I feel too horrible saying the girl's name) but the hairdresser I picked was so nice, cute, sweet and created a nice experience for me... she did a nice job on my color switching me from blonde to brown but when it comes to the cut, she SHAGGED IT UP so much, I can't even believe it.  I literally have been near tears every day getting ready, it's the worst haircut I've ever gotten as she made like 3 inches layer starting at the top of my head and cut my hair to my shoulder with jagged bangs, and just the weirdest layers ever.  I know it's dramatic but I had long, blonde hair before and I like the color, but the cut makes me cry almost every day.  I am waiting it out and hoping it grows soon but it's so bad that I literally fantasize about going back in time and never walking in there (and it cost $200, literally).  I reluctantly have to say, as nice as the staff was, steer clear.  I'm in my own version of hell.  I think the only people who like a shag cut are hairdressers.  It's horrible. :(
