We live next door. We don't buy gas here but we've been getting our car serviced here for years. They do a fantastic job. Especially on Volkswagens!
Minus on star for the pricey gas.Listed in: The Places I Go Out

I stop here once in a while if I'm low on gas and about to get on the freeway. Prices aren't bad, Regular unleaded this morning was $3.75, but they are right near the freeway.
The reason I am writing this review...If you're coming down 4th Street and pull into the very first pump for those with the gas on the driver side be careful. There was gas alll over the ground and the nozzle is defective. When getting the nozzle gas poured out of it.
Just be aware. -

The merchant name for this place showed up on my credit card bill as:
CK7116SANFRAN 10080620. Hopefully that'll help somebody else out out there.
I'd rather not have to do major sleuthing when I'm looking at my transactions to figure out what they are. Would it be that hard to lead off with "76 " or "76Gas "? -

Ditto the criticisms of several other reviewers... the prices are crazy high... the homeless people are aggressive.
I bought gas here twice when I was on empty and couldn't risk crossing the bridge on E. Felt taken advantage of, both times. -

Tried to get $50.00 worth of gas and only had a $100.00 and they said no, they did not have change. Funny the 3 people in front of me paid with $20.00 doller bills and though I'm not a math wiz sure seems that the 20's did not go off into some hidden cash register. I left and will not be back

The gas was cheaper than 3 of the other Shell stations I passed by on the way by at least 15 cents/gallon, but what was awesome about this 76 station was the signage they have at the pumps. I'm guessing it's at other 76 stations too, but they have a guide to the bugs that you might see smashed onto your windshield. Because c'mon, who doesn't want to learn something while they're pumping their gas?! On the other side of the sign was a series of stretches/exercises you can do while pumping your gas. Kinda cheesy, but I still give them props for trying to be wellness-minded especially when you're usually just standing there looking around. Nice.

The owners of this 76 station have a fantastic SF location right by the freeway onramp, so I don't begrudge them their relatively high gas prices.
I do, however, tire of the aggressive panhandlers who dog me here every single time I fill up. It's to the point where I often see women drivers sitting in their cars with the doors locked while the gas is pumping.
I'd like to see the owners here put some of those high-gas-price proceeds to work on security. In the meantime, I'm going to find another route to the freeway. -

Practically every time I've been here a homeless person is either asking for money at the pump or by the driveway. 76 should do something about this! Although that's a huge negative, the positive is that the location is close to downtown and the freeway.
