I have driven by this place numerous times and never noticed it, but the great Yelp reviews convinced me to check it out. People are usually surprised to find I am a huge chicken wing fan because, in their words, I seem too prissy to enjoy the common wing. But I can throw down wings with the best of them, and these are damn fine wings - very big, juicy and meaty! We ordered them "spicy" and they packed just the right amount of heat. A small side of fries was more than enough to feed two people, and the cut was nice and thick. (I hate skinny fries!)
Hub had some Croatian lamb sausage appetitzer that wasn't my thing, but he thoroughly enjoyed it.
We'll be back!
Sometimes, the service here can be sloooooow. Also, it tends to be filled with noisy sports fans.
HOWEVER.
These burgers are so unbelievably tasty. The Chevapchichi is completely awesomely delicious. Also, they make a righteous bacon cheeseburger. Get the real cheddar cheese,,,make you wanna slap someone.
I've had the fried macaroni, and it was good but not damn good. Also, I've eaten the 'ring of fire' wings. Tasty wings, but not the best I've ever had. Also, they were very very hot, but not excruciating like I'd expected them to be (I do have a high tolerance, however). Tasted the alligator, and it was a little dry. Tasted the buffalo, and it was delicious and gamey. This place is good and cheap, too. Give it a shot, you won't be sorry.
This is a real neighborhood treasure, that has been kept secret too long!
Excellent burgers, delicious fries and a great atmosphere from the locals who love it. You could only find this type of local restaurant with so much to offer in San Pedro. Nowhere else in LA would have the community spirit that comes from four generations of European fishermen and their families all staying in the same area.
710 Grille is a great find.

The menu sounds very exotic, but the food did not meet our expectation. We had the kangaroo burger, alligator burger, and the ostrich burger. The kangaroo burger was soo greasy and it tasted so gamey, the alligator burger was dry like a cardboard. The ostrich burger was ok, maybe we should have sticked with something more normal.
We also got chicken wings with "sissy" spiciness, and our lips were inflamed and swollen for the next 2 hours.
This is a great neighbourhood restaurant. The Los Angeles news rated it best wings in South Bay. Apparently it claims one has to sign a waiver to eat their hottest wings so naturally I'm there! I wasn't disappointed. Make sure 710 has the fire dept on call to dowse your mouth as their wings were crispy and coated in molten lava that had the potential to burn for days like a California wild fire! If you're a burger person, they serve up a variety, all with clever menu captions. And variety I mean not only cow, turkey but they have bison, ostrich, alligator, kangaroo and a San Pedro local Croatian chavahp that I'm going back for. BTW - a large basket of fries must have been made with 10 potatoes, it's huge and can feed 3 or 4 people.
Go check this place out for lunch, you'll be happy you did.

Caliente! That is the only Spanish word I know, and it means very hot! I am not much into spicy foods, but one day my daughter and I went to lunch here. Upon sitting down, we noticed they had "World famous" hot wings advertised. This is where it gets ugly.
Along with their unbelievably fantastic burgers and world famous hot wings, they also have a collection of evil hot sauces. Some of the bottles actually have warning labels and the restaurant makes you sign a waiver to even use those sauces.
My daughter did not know about the warning label, she just saw "Kill Ya Hot" or something like that on one of the bottles and thought, it would be funny to watch her mother tear up a bit. She dared me to try a bite of the spicy hot wings, claiming that they were not that bad, so I did.
"Ah gon el ma tung"! I muttered. No folks, the spelling is not wrong, it is what happens to a person when they feel as though they are going into anaphylactic shock! I was merely trying to beg for help, as I "Couldn't feel my tongue".
My eyes started to tear up, my nose was running like a bad spring allergy and I swear I think my lungs were collapsing. I kept pinching my cheeks and lips, while whining. I put my finger to my tongue and screamed, "eeere", my daughter said, what? I again started crying saying, "eere, eere, ot!".
The waitress ran over and asked if she could help and my daughter yelled, I think she said get her a beer. Quickly the waitress ran off and came back with a giant mug of beer. What in the world were they trying to do to me? My daughter in a state of panic quickly jumped up and force fed me the mug of beer.
I choked and gasped and begged for forgiveness, as I clearly knew I was about to die! The beer only made things worse and temperatures were rising in my mouth and throat. There was no time for explaining that I was just saying, "here, it is hot, here". So I grabbed the vase of flowers and quickly drank the water.
The young, naive waitress came running over and proceeded to tell me that I could not drink the flower water, that she would get me a glass of drinking water. If I had been able to speak I would have told her I do not normally enjoy drinking "flower-nated water" with stems and thorns, but this was an emergency. But I didn't in fear of what they would bring me next, because of the language barrier.
Things started to cool down slightly, but the stinging sensation was still very present. I believe that the waitress and my daughter both went to the same medical class, because my daughter thought it necessary to pull out a wipey cloth from its little packet and wipe my tongue with it. So now my palate had the taste of soap, disinfectant, chili and flower preservatives. I never did get a chance to try the burger, but I can tell you the hot wings are to die for!
This is such a great restaurant, even though the hot sauce almost killed me! Great people, great wait staff and cooks and great owners! all around A+++++++++++++++++++

I went with Riblet and Ilovefood to this place way out in the middle of nowhere so we could try some buffalo burgers! Now for the news:
The Bad: This place is kind of secluded and in a shady area. I thought I was going to get raped....and that's saying something because I'm not a wimpy guy!
The Good: I have never had such friendly service...and from a burger joint no less! They have great and inexpensive burgers ranging from your basics to exotic stuff like kangaroo, buffalo, and alligator! Unbelievably, the best part isn't even the burgers. We were dared/sold on the idea of their hot wings. They have varying degrees of hotness..so naturally we go with the hottest degree for which we had to sign a waiver! The wings were as good as they were hot! 2 burgers 10 wings. You must visit this place! Great service!

I just heard about this place recently and drove down from the westside last week just to try the hotwings.
The wings that they serve are higher quality than most places you'll find. It's white and chunky, as opposed to the gray and stringy chicken many bars serve. There were very few black veins in the meat, which is a huge plus for me. They were right out of the fryer and the skin was fresh and crispy, while the meat was still tender and juicy. There was that tiny, almost unnoticeable separation between the skin and the meat that indicates the perfect amount of frying time.
The sauce was pretty tart (I ordered the regular hot), but also very tasty. It looked as though they drizzled the sauce on the wings rather than dunking the wings in the sauce. I prefer dunking, since some of the wings didn't have enough sauce. That's a small issue though, and doesn't take away from the fact that these are some of the best wings in LA.
Overall, served with excellent fries, this was a very good experience. The people running the place could not have been nicer or more down-to-earth. The decor is unpretentious and the whole place is super clean. Worth a trip to San Pedro if you're looking for above average wings.

This is just one of those places that will stay in my memory forever. Its probably because I had to sign a freakin waiver to eat the hottest wings known to mankind. They were so good! I wish I had one right now. The wings were crisp and fried to perfection. The burn is pretty enjoyable. Its like s&m for your tastebuds. The pain makes it more fun. Before you scorch off those tastebuds, definitely try one of their awesome burgers. They serve all sorts of exotic meats. I had a bite of buffalo and kangaroo which were good but I stuck to good old cow burger and it was delicious. My burger came with sprouts. ooh fancy. The staff was super cool and very friendly. It would be so awesome if they had a "ring of fire" wing eating competition. Good food and a great story to tell afterwards. This place is great!

As a local San Pedran, I had to try this place based on all the rave reviews by out-of-towners. They were all right -- this is a gem.
I do not do wings, but I do do burgers, and I had the cevapcici burger with bacon. Stunning, as well as original.
I am not into loud TVs playing while I eat, and I noticed that no one in the place (mostly full at 2 pm) was watching either of the screens. There are enough sports bars around town -- turn them off.
I am into beer, but all there is on draft is Bud and Coors, which I do not consider worthy of my attention. There are some good selections of better beers by the bottle, but it would be nice to have a local microbrew on tap as well.
The owner/manager could not be nicer, the service was speedy and efficient, the establishment and its bathroom spotless, the decor a bit funky. All in all very "Pedro-ish" with a nod towards Croatia.
Not fine dining, but a place to go to have fun and get your fingers very dirty. Do try it.

Great Food in a non-threatening, non-elitist atmosphere. It's a true hole-in-the-wall that is inviting and really clean. In almost 9 years of business, they've received nothing less than an "A" from the health inspector. Hot wings are unbelievable, Burgers are bitchin', Beer is cold, and Specials are smashing!!! Nice people always, and the regulars are regular because they love it. Isn't that the ultimate compliment/review??? Come on in. They have two flat screen TV's now! And here comes football season. 710 Grille is ready for you. Have fun!

Wingful Winner!!!!
Unpretentious but totally welcoming - locally owned joint amidst a residential area/small biz area of San Pedro.
Although I dont eat hot wings, the people I went with did - they claim this place tosses up the best "sissy" wings moist, meaty - (NOTE: Hot wing lovers out there: I didnt know chickens had this big of wings - and I see hot wings all the time!!!) - heat values ranging from sissy - to something SO HOT they make you sign a release form. (Seriously, is that legal to sell something that hot??? - the release form leads me to believe the bring out a propane torch, clamp your toungue out and brand 710 in it!!) Im kidding of course!
OK, so Im not serious vegan - I just dont eat meat - don't be a hater - but this joint aims to please - they have Garden Burgers (which i thoroughly & delightfully indulged in - was so thick - stacked tall with fresh whole leaf lettuce, tomatoes, onions, secret sauce - I had to do the palm-to-bun-squish just to get it in my mouth.), Tuna sammies, AND for the adventerous....Ostrish burgers, Buffalo burgers and ALLIGATOR BURGERS!!! - everything is noted to be ground or made fresh!! Even the BREAD!!!
Ok, so bring your friends, they have a large LCD peering down on you while you dine and they serve up domestic and import beer and wine (this is not a bar - but since when does beer not engage sweetly and sinfully with a big burger???)
The price is so totally right on:
Fried Zucchini LESS THAN $6
Garden Burger ala carte LESS THAN $6
10 hot wings LESS THAN $8 (Note: order half one heat and half another heat)
individual packs of carrots and celery (help kills the fire in your mouth) Ask for an extra pack - especially if you have a non-meat eater in your party!!!
Keep in mind - everthing is packed and stacked fresh - so give yourself some extra time to enjoy the double burn hotwings and frosty long neck.
I know you are popular and stuff, but only bring 30 of your closest friends when you come here - its a cozy joint!!

I have procrastinated in writing my review for 710 grille, and already 2 people have beat me to it!
Moving on..
My boyfriend really wanted to try buffalo burgers (to cross off from his meat list) and so I yelped it (of course). I came across 710 Grille and was very excited because it seemed like a cool, hole in the wall kinda place.
So a group of friends and I made the small road trip down to San Pedro (lovely little town) and circled through the residential neighborhood to find modest 710 Grille. Nothing fancy, and we liked it. Super small, but clean, and fit the 6 of us.
We looked over the menu and of course saw the buffalo burger, and in addition to that, the ostrich burger, the alligator burger, and the kangaroo burger!!! It was awesome. My boyfriend and his friend ordered both the kangaroo and buffalo. (Yes, they can eat like mad men) I had a bite, and both were very tasty.
Of course, we HAD to try the hot wings, since that is their forte, and we wanted to try the hottest one on the scale. The menu claimed that we had to sign a waiver, but didn't think much about it. But when we came around to order it, the waiter mentioned it again! We REALLY had to sign a waiver!!! Then he went on to explain the hotness of the wings, copmaring it to 4x hotter than habanero pepper, and all of my friends had this worried look. Then-AH SCREW IT! Let's order 10!!!! We all signed our stomachs away... they came out and you could smell the spicy acid. We took whiffs, and our noses were singed. It was a scary moment, but we all did it. And boy they were spicy. It is a slow spicy, but still so tasty! I wanted more!!-so my friend and I had another, but only after a few bites of our regular burgers (yes, I wimped out on the fun burgers) In fact, my stinkin boyfriend went crazy and had 3 in a row. (he resulted in smearing ranch dressing all over his lips to calm the heat, not one of his most attractive moments) We also got 20 of the regular wings, and those were really tasty, we all want to go back for more wings!
The burgers were good, the wings were excellent, as was the company. It was a great night at this little place in San Pedro. The waiters were all really friendly (wishing everyone who left a safe drive), and they watched and laughed while we ate our waiver hot wings, which just added to the fun.
710 Grille. 5 stars!

Another favorite find since moving to Long Beach. This is not close to my new home, but the drive itself is worth doing with out-of-town guests.
The 710 itself is not about ambiance - unless you think bright lights, flat-screen after flat-screen tuned to sports and paper towel racks instead of napkin dispensers are mood-making. Once you get the buffalo wings, which you really need to, you'll see why all those available paper towels are necessary.
Last time we were there one friend had the grilled chicken salad. The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection, the vegetables crisp. I had the burger, which was juicy and piled high with pickles, tomatoes and sauces. My boyfriend always gets the buffalo burger, so he was crushed to learn that they were out. He decided to try the ostrich burger (!) which he found just as lean and good.
As signs in the place warn, don't go to the 710 if you want fast food - it takes a while to get your orders, but that is because they are being cooked to order. The service is friendly, if a little more brusque when the joint gets packed - which it does - you can call ahead to see how busy it is before you go in. I do suggest you eat there - the mood in the place is great with all those happy people, many of them repeatrepeatrepeat customers.
One last warning - the scorcher (rated 10 out of 20) buffalo wings are very spicy - I'd avoid going any higher unless you take someone like my dad who likes to eat jalapenos as a side dish.
