I check this place out for lunch (I work around the corner) about once a week or so. the quesadillas are done well, I suggest getting the chicken and paying a couple bucks to add the veggies.
the chicken sandwiches are good. they are esentially a round roll, breast of grilled chicken and topping of choice. the buffalo chick sandwich had fresh blue cheese which is a nice surprise if you don't like the dressing running down your arm.
my favorite discovery there so far has been that they use La Columbe coffee. which is my favorite.

I am relatively new to Jenkintown, where the restaurant and cafe competition is sorta fierce.  The 709 West Cafe recently opened, and I'm pleased to report fresh real food and what's even better -- very reasonable prices. Yesterday I ordered the Frittata with Spinach and
Blue Cheese - one of the Chef's Specials. The "freshness" of the spinach was so noteworthy, and the entire dish was delicious!  It came with a side of yummy breakfast potatos -- all for a low $7.50. Did I mention ample portions?  And when the chef learned it was my friends Birthday, he surprisingly sent over a warm, chocolate brownie filled with nuts, topped with whipped cream that he just whipped up fresh!  Of course, complimentary!  Finally, for me, the piece de resistance --  they serve LaColombe Coffee. I will definitely be coming back.

After my fifth or sixth time at 709 West Ave Cafe, I began to warm up to the place. The food is great and the portions are just right. However, I wish the counter space were more visible from the front door. This would give the place a diner-feeling. Additionally, I wish the hidden gem moniker could be removed from this place...more people should try it out! Although somewhat easy to pass by car, people shouldn't miss this place.

My husband and 2 babies and I took a walk to 709 last weekend and were very happy with our experience. I ordered the Italian style chicken cutlet which was so good with fresh sauteed garlic spinach and a egg and herb battered chicken cutlet, melty provalone cheese and a soft seseme roll, I didn't even need to put anything on it. The fries were AWESOME, salty and fresh cut, and my husbands burger was very good and cooked just right. I ordered chicken fingers for my son and i was VERY pleasently surprised when out came beautifully battered and cooked fresh chicken breast tenders! This is the first time i have ever not received greasy, frozen, chicken with questionable age. We were very comfortable there, and they didn't seem to mind the kids wandering around and my 1 yr old walking to the door over and over oh and free wifi! My husband has spent a few afternoons having lunch and finishing a work project. I will most definitely go back very soon.

I was excited to try the new restaurant in town. Though it's more like a cafe, or so they call it. Decor was a little strange, just bright orange walls and a counter/register in the dining area.  Had the chicken cutlet. Hostess was a little quirky. Vegetables were fresh, although the chicken was just "ehhh" and didn't taste right. Overall, I was not too impressed. I'm still not sure what they were trying to go for. Italian food? I heard they have not been open for very long, so I suppose I will try them again at a later time.
