I've lived in South Florida for eight years and have tried stylists In every neighborhood at every price point, and the ONLY stylist I go back to is Evan at 7 Salon. His work is consistently fabulous and I am always asked who does my highlights. The prices are reasonable, staff is personable while professional, and I no longer dread getting my hair done.
Bonus secret: while you're there, have Evan thread your eyebrows! They will be PERFECT and you'll never want to settle for waxing again! -

I've been going to 7 Salon for a year now, and have loved every visit. The staff is beyond friendly (one time I didn't have enough change foor the meter, and instead of just giving me change for my dollar, Eddie actually went out to the meter for me, so that I wouldn't have to delay my appointment). The salon itself has a hip but unpretentious atmosphere that is right up my alley.
Then there is the massage chair hair washing experience. Love.
Then there is Jodi, who does an amazing blow-out, and and equally amazing cut. I don't color my hair, but Jodi did a friend's color (blond on brownish hair), and it was great. She also listens to what you want (i.e. cut a little actually means cut a little), but will not let you fall victim to an ill-advised whim (i.e. she gently persuaded me that my natural color is great, and that I don't need to color my hair, one day when I was in the mood for a "change." Crises averted). When she blows out my hair, I always get a million compliments on it. She is awesome.
Once, when Jodi wasn't available, I went to Evan, who did a fabulous job. He also threaded my eyebrows expertly. I think it's important that a salon have a team of great stylists, in case you have to go to a new person in a hair-mergency when your regular person is booked. This salon is no one-hit wonder.
The regular manicures and pedicures I have gotten from Ngoc have lasted for weeks (literally, manicure with regular polish lasted me 14 days), and they also do the shellac/gel manicures really well.
In a word: Love. If you're on the fence, get off of it and get to 7 Salon. Your hair, hands and feet will thank you. -

Super-friendly staff that speaks fluent English in Miami??? It does exist after all.
Purchased a mani pedi dealtificate. I had to book an appointment several days in advance as they were booked. Showed up on Saturday afternoon, was greeted with a big glass of cold water and didn't have to wait.
Jackie did my mani and pedi. She was awesome, took her time (35-45 minutes each) and listened to what I wanted. She was also very gentle and thorough. I hate it when they butcher your limbs. The utensils came out of a sealed bag, always important. The products they use smell heavenly, like tropical fruit you want to eat.
The spa pedicure area is awesome. Instead of the usual massage chairs they custom built a huge cushioned bench topped with tons of pillows. They use big square kitchen sinks to soak your feet. This is the most comfortable I've ever sat while getting a pedicure.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 are their regular prices. I think they are high considering the location and compared to other salons. -

Evan at 7 Salon is simply the best. If you live in the Miami area and you aren't going to Evan you should change that immediately! I live in Baltimore, MD and come to Miami at least 4 times a year for Evan to highlight and cut my hair. Evan has been my stylist for 12 years and in several different states. He is definitely worth the trip to Miami Beach!
There are several exceptional qualities that you want to see in a stylist and Evan has them all. First, he will give you an honest opinion on what will look good on you and what won't. He will not do anything to your hair if he thinks it's not going to make you look your absolute best. His extensive experience in the beauty industry gives him a huge repertoire of ideas for hair styles. He's sure to find the perfect one for you! Second, he knows his products. The color line he works with doesn't damage your hair so you won't leave with broom straws on your head. And if you need advice on the best shampoo, conditioner or styling product Evan can rattle off your best choices before you can even finish your question. Curly hair, straight hair, thinning hair, colored hair or natural ... he's up on the latest and greatest for styling and caring for it all. And third, he's just a wonderful person to get to know while he's processing your hair. You won't even realize you've been there for an hour you've enjoyed your experience so much!

I had him thread my eyebrows and dye my eyelashes on my last trip to the Salon and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I have super blonde eyelashes and tinting them really made a huge difference! Excellent! Josh Fuller, the owner, has opened one of the best salons in S Florida. Josh is a great colorist and stylist, and his staff is superb. Attractive clientele (a few models) but not intimidating. Subtle, modern decor (relaxing browns and greys). Great location on the bay, by Sunset Harbor. I had spent two years trying to find a decent salon -- I'm used to Europe / NYC quality -- until I ran across 7!
Oh, and don't confuse it with a similarly named salon on S Dixie in S Dade.

Until I graduated college this past May, a Supercuts-haircut was acceptable. I just needed something to get my mane under control without any appearance concerns.
I moved to Miami for my first job out of college and thought it'd be a good idea to get a decent-looking haircut so I asked a friend for a recommendation who sent me to Robbie at 7.
Robbie cut my hair about 2 or 3 times during the time I lived there and always wowed me with his hair-cutting skills.
At the time (last time I was there was in September,) a cut was $50 but worth every penny. Give him a call, you won't regret it. I don't think you need an appointment, but it's always a good idea to call ahead and see if he's there. -

One of the best salons I have ever been to. Christina took such good care of me. She really pays attention to detail. The salon is beautiful, clean, well maintained, And in a convenient location. Great polish choices too. May try their hair services next time too

I have been getting my nails done with Ngoc for about 6 months and she is AMAZING, she gives the best No Chip Manicure Ever!!! I also get my haircut with Julia and she is great; always takes her time and does a stellar blow out!!!

Obviously you would think I'm being particularly biased to say that 7 Salon provides a great salon experience, considering I worked there as a stylist for a year. However, I no longer work there, as I've moved from Miami to Atlanta, and felt compelled to write a review about my experience strictly as a customer. I have been a loyal client of Crystal's for 3 years, and she has seen me through many hair colors. I have sat in her chair and approached her with some pretty adventurous ideas with my hair cut and color, and she always delivers. I have trusted her with my hair and have recommended all my clients to her. If your color needs a boost, or you need a chance, big or small, I encourage you to see her at 7 Salon. It's great to be treated so special, and sit with a hot cup of tea and a few magazines while your hair is being crafted into something amazing. The massaging shampoo chairs are incredible, and the atmosphere in general is relaxed and fun.
Crystal also does a mean blowout!
Tip: Please be sure you pay your meter, because Miami Beach Parking Department is VERY strict. Trust me, I know! -

If you are looking for a stylist, you have got to go see Evan Wingate at 7 Salon. He is fantastic. I don't even live in FL and I make it a point to go there so that Evan can do my hair. I have super curly hair and I have always had trouble finding a stylist that can give me a good cut and recommend products that work with my super fine hair. Evan nailed it the first time I went to see him. My hair never looked so good. I literally had people stop me on the street when I left the salon to compliment my hair and that has never happened before. He is a genius! He actually took the time and walked me through exactly how to use each product and how to style it each day. He gave me the every day, practical technique and the special occasion technique, for when I had a little more time and energy. My friends and co-workers all noticed a difference immediately when I changed stylists, and completely understand why I hop on a plane when I need my hair done. Evan is priceless. Nobody else will ever touch my hair. If you live in the area, making Evan your regular stylist will be the best decision you ever made.

After days of begging me to come here, I finally caved in. I thought this would be some trendy typical sobe salon, but to my surprise it was not.
I came in for a haircut and my girl came in for a pedicure. After having at least 3 hot girls shampoo, and cut my hair I also got a 5 min masssage, and then found my girl lounging in complete bliss on a huge very comfy looking couch.
My hair looks great, her pedi was awesome, the staff is super nice,
the place is almost spa-like
I usually go to supercuts, but this place is great! -

REFRESHING is the perfect way to describe 7 salon. The second you walk in, you feel at ease and ready to unwind. I've tried so many salons all through out Miami, it's either egos, intimidation or just messiness that just puts me off. Not at 7 salon. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and relaxed . I always get my color, cut, blown out by Hillary Belle. I've followed her for some time now, she even did my sister's wedding hair! She really listens to you, and takes time to know exactly what you want for your hair. She really is on YOUR team, which is so hard to find. Also her knowledge on beauty products is limitless. She's like the Allure best of the year issue, in human form, celeb gossip included!
Besides her, you take notice that the salon is full of regular clients that have a great relationship with their stylist, which is great to see.
I have not yet gotten a mani/pedi there, which their reserved area for pedicures looks like a sanctuary of relaxation. Defiantly on my to do list!
I really can't say enough good things about this place, love the location, love the talent, love the results! -

Went here for a pedicure with Ngoc Han Chu (first name pronounced Knock). She was amazing! The front desk staff were pleasant and the pedicure area was cozy and private. They offered me coffee or water and it really was a pleasant atmosphere. I also noticed how clean everything was which was really nice. Ngoc gave a perfect pedicure and I am a pretty harsh critic when it comes to nails. Usually I can apply the polish better than most manicurists. She did it to perfection. Two weeks later and my polish is still going strong - not one chip! I also noticed they use quality products there and don't skimp to save money. The pedicure isn't cheap but it is worth every penny!

I originally followed my stylist from another salon to this one, and I can understand why. It's on a calm, nice location on the beach. The staff are all courteous, smart, and can speak elqouently enough to to get their point across as well as understand what you're trying to say. My stylist recently left the salon to move out of state, and I have no problem moving to another stylist because I trust all of their techniques.
