This was a good place when they first opened (juicy burgers and hearty brisket sandwiches), but since they increased their prices over the Summer, the quality and quantity has gone down hill. I kept hoping they were just having a bad day, but no such luck, the cooks just don't care how they put the food together. The last meal left me hungry, won't be back!

Stopped by and got a to go order of chopped BBQ beef sandwich, fries and a coke.
Very tasty. For $6, you can't beat the price. If I lived in Houston, I suspect
that I'd eat lunch at Seven Rivers everyday. -

Saw this place in passing a few nights ago and stopped in for dinner tonight. I got hot links, brisket and ribs and while everything was good, the ribs were by far my favorite. The meat was well seasoned, super tender, smoked just right and just generally delicious. The brisket was pretty moist, but no crust - good seasoning but not a lot a smoke. I'd prefer a bit more smoke and definitely more crust. The hot links were fine - not outstanding, but solid. They did me right and put the sauce on the side just like I asked.
Sauce was alright with a little bit of heat. I'm from Kansas and I'm way more used to the thick Kansas City-style with lots of molasses. I know that's not how Texas rolls, but it's still my personal preference.
The beans were kind of "meh" but I really liked the potato salad.
Throw in $1.50 draft Shiners all day and I'm sold. I'll be back with the whole family soon. -

So far I've had the sliced brisket sandwich and the bacon cheeseburger basket. Both are about 7 bucks and are amazing. Great fries, and good sweet and spicy pickles as well...
