This place is absolute garbage, like most of the places I find here in Berkeley even when it says that it's open it's usually not because the employees are two entitled and damn lazy to even stand around doing nothing here.
24/7 really just means whenever their lazy employees get around to it seeing how the temporary closed sign says they open again at 5:15, weird how it's almost 5:25 and your entitled employees are clocking those hours but not even here...
Next time I'm bringing bolt cutters, you've been warned if it says 24/7 is coming in regardless in the future...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Ricardo F.West Berkeley, Berkeley, CA01841Aug 28, 2021
The worst 7-11 worldwide. The cashiers is rude and cunning. A fresh donut should be $1 between 4pm and 8pm, but the cashier insisted on charging me $1.29. The most ridiculous thing is that just yesterday I bought the same donut for $1 at exactly the same time.
What's more, the cashier never helps me to pick a hotdog in the morning unless I call him twice. For at least three times, he just keeps talking on the phone and pretending not to see me.
Profiteer. Liar.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Eva S.WA, WA0131Nov 13, 2022

7-11 here is one of the smallest i've seen. stocked with the usual essentials. no electronic gadgets, magazines, etc. store neatly stacked. items priced.
brew: coffee, "exclusive blend" (sm. 1)
-many full pots of coffee 1-ish
-smooth medium roast taste, fresh not stale as experienced elsewhere.
drips:
-friendly check out, such a change of pace!
-tempted by pizza, 2/$2+, remembered it was too salty before.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - Rowaid N.East Oakland, Oakland, CA044Jun 27, 2021
My go to all the time. Friendly owner, sunny. Been coming here for 6 years now? Thanks for having cold energy drinks and hot food in stock all the time.

Prices marked on beer in the cooler are not the same proce on their cash register. When I pointed that out they went mute. Generally not bad people, but they should make the shelf price label. Is it dishonesty ? Or just laziness?

There are many things wrong with this store.
1. The prices on the shelves are ALWAYS wrong! When they ring me up, the price that comes up is always a $1-2 higher than what's listed on the shelf. I tell them, but they won't check the shelf. They think the solution is to talk loudly over me, tell me I'm imagining things and that I don't understand how sales tax works. They yell "NO THAT'S THE RIGHT PRICE. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! IT'S MORE BECAUSE OF THE SALES TAX". It is also illegal to charge a higher price than what is listed on the shelf, but they do it all the time and don't care. At this point, I am already in there, so I put up with it even though I shouldn't. I kick myself every time. They are lucky there's not too many other stores in the area. That's why people put up with their BS. They're also lucky I'm not a big dude, because I have wanted to...
I honestly think they look at all their customers like they are blind, deaf and dumb scum. It's super insulting, every single time. Shady shady shady little scammers! They are the scum.
2. If the dirty, smelly store, wrong shelf prices, and shady tactics weren't enough, the cashiers are also judgmental as hell and scope out you and everything you buy. They look at your purchases, then they look you up and down and make judgmental faces and eyes. Sometimes they even make little comments, which is always fun. Buy hey, haters gonna hate, right? No, I don't care what they think of me, but I have honestly wondered why would they treat their customers like unwanted, dirty peasants, when our business (their customers) means their survival. Not too smart if you ask me...
3. The hours listed on Yelp and Google are wrong. They don't even care enough to list the right hours. They also don't honor their posted hours. THIS STORE NEEDS TO GO!!! Time for something else in that location.
P.s. the store owner drives a nice Benz. Kinda funny he profits off the very customers he turns around and treats like garbage.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 579493287Nov 14, 2011
I don't know why this 7-11 has such a low rating. Compared to the one on Telegraph, this location rocks.
I've never had any problems with the people behind the counter, except that one time one of them gave me a price discount (whether purposely or not, I don't know). 3 taquitos for $3.33? Yes please. Get the monterey jack, it's SO GOOD. I've tried all the other ones, but they just don't compare.
The taquitos here are ALWAYS so soft and hot, so you know they're fresh. The ones on Telegraph are stale most of the time.
So maybe not necessarily 5 stars, I have to give it to them to boost their rating so more people will try their monterey jack taquitos! (Or not, more for me.)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - fish i.Oakland, CA24111325Oct 1, 2017
The Indian cashier loves to short change me. He will pretend he made an innocent mistake but why does the innocent mistake short change all the time and not once do i get more change than i am due. Always check change and get a receipt.
