Excellent food and service! A must try if you are in the South Beach area.
My boyfriend and I had dinner here on our recent trip to Miami. I had purchased a Groupon for dinner for 2. We had the Short Rib Empanadas as our appetizer and they were amazing! I ordered the Angus Churrasco and he had the Atlantic Fish a la Plancha. Every bite of my steak was mouthwatering. My bf had nothing but good things to say about his dish as well.
We sat outside and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately I don't remember our servers name, but he was great! We will definitely be returning if we are ever in Miami again! -

Bought a Groupon.
Went to a mid-week lunch. Got there at like 2:25 and lunch ends at 2:30 I think. So rude, I know.
Little garden patio area was just me and my bud, so it was like, totally bromantical and stuffff.
No seriously though. I order the ceviche, which was gross. BUT, the zucchini and asparagus sides were crazy delicious. My water glass was never empty and the server was sooooo nice!
Seriously, was I dining in south beach? Genuinely nice server!?!?
I would def go back and order something diff to give it more stars. I just won't get that weird nuclear-meltdown sludge looking green ceviche. -

So my first visit to the Anglers wasn't so good. But this time around it was a better experience. On my first visit the food was great but service lacking and it wasn't even a busy weekend or packed. We did do the unlimited mimosa special and hung out and enjoyed brunching. Waiter was friendly enough but it took forever to get our food and long wait time to refill our drinks. Had the Pancakes with pecans and bacon. It was the most delicious pancake I've ever had(and I eat a lot of pancakes!).
Second time around, had the New York omelet, and my girlfriend had another omelet that looked delish as well. Seems to be a good girls brunch spot, there were large groups of girls brunching this time around as well. Nice courtyard seating. Easy to relax and talk and eat and drink and just be merry. All in all it's a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to revisit for brunch. -

660 at The Angler's has been on my brunch hit list for about as long as I've been on Yelp. Even though it's only a few blocks from my house, I still hadn't managed to get over there. That all changed when I realized that most of my go-to brunch spots were mimosas-only, and my friend was jonesing for bloody mary.
Situated in the super chic boutique resort, 660 takes up space all over the hotel's front porch, front room of the first floor, and has additional outdoor seating out to the side by the pool. Since we showed up *gasp* without a reservation, we were shuffled off to the pool-side outdoor seating, where the host kindly pulled our table into the shade.
Without missing a beat, our waiter, John, came by to see if we were ready to order drinks. Having spied signs for 660's $25 unlimited bloodies/mimosas offerings, we were eager to order. I opted for a bellini as my first of many mimosas, while my friend stuck with traditional bloodies for the afternoon. After my first bellini, I opted for a peach/strawberry nectar combo for the rest of the meal (a traditional OJ mimosa is also an option).
660's entire menu was mouth-watering, and before we knew it, we were picking out items from the lunch and dinner menus that we know we'll be back to try. Tucked away toward the back of the menu were the brunch options - breakfast and lunch choices abounded!
I opted for for the "New York" omelet, with smoked salmon, chive cream cheese, and capers, served with home fries and toast. My bloody-loving friend opted for the soft-poached eggs with chorizo and potato hash. And our non-imbibing friend, bird-like eater that he is, opted for a side of home fries (which came out as regular fries, but that was okay) and a side of bacon. We were all quite content with our dishes, and savored the gorgeous afternoon and our unlimited cocktails.
The prices were average for brunch on South Beach - roughly $12-$15 for a brunch entree. As it is a restaurant inside of a hotel, 660 includes 18% gratuity, which is fair. Our server was an absolute delight - eager to get us anything we asked for, and ensuring our bottomless glasses were always full!
The hotel itself is very nice, and completely set back from the hustle-and-bustle of Washington Ave., so you don't have to worry about the noise and incessant people traipsing through the place. 660 at The Angler's is jumping to the Top 5 on my South Beach brunch list, and since brunch is one of my favorite weekend activities, I know I'll be back soon and often!Listed in: SoBe Local Faves, Best for Brunch!

Went here for dinner. It has a very nice atmosphere and excellent food. The service was a little slower than what I'm used to, but was acceptable. I recommend this place if you are looking for great food.

Disclaimer - I have only come here for brunch, but it is excellent!
The first time, I came with a girlfriend and we sat outside. It was quite a hot and humid day, but with the umbrellas and fans, we were not uncomfortable. It was very lively due to there being a World Cup game on, but the service was still fantastic. I had the buttermilk pancakes and enjoyed every last bite. Sometimes, pancakes in a restaurant can taste like they were made out of cement, but not these! We did opt for the bottomless mimosas and they were quite good, although we limited ourselves to just 2 or 3.
When the BF heard "bottomless drinks", he insisted we make a return visit. He was disappointed when I told him that meant the drinks were bottomless, not that one could actually take one's pants off and BE bottomless, but he got over it.
We returned several months later with my original dining companion and another friend and sat inside. The room inside is lovely and the music is also good (and not too loud). The waiter was wonderfully friendly and the food was fantastic. I opted for the Angler's omelette (goat cheese, asparagus and mushrooms) and it was delicious. This time, we availed ourselves of the bottomless drinks for HOURS! Waitstaff did not rush us or try to turn the table.... they let us drink ourselves silly with no interference.
Also good to note is that the brunch menu has both breakfast AND lunch items.
Finally, the price on the bottomless drinks keeps creeping up. I think it was $12 or $15 the first time I went, and $18 the second time. Now it is $25!
All in all, a nice experience! -

I was so looking to give this place a good rating. The decor is cute and welcoming. The service is good. However, there are some issues with the food. First, the food came to the table cold. The second problem was the potatos. I ordered scallop potatos. What I got was big chucks of potatos covered in cheese. If I am right scallop potatos are to be thinly sliced. With so may chooses in Miami Beach. This place would need to pick up their game.

I found 660 through Open Table, when I was trying to make a reservation for myself and Alex O. when we spent the weekend in Miami Beach. The Angler's hotel just happen to be no more than 2 blocks from our hotel, which turned out to be highly convenient.
The atmosphere at 660 was perfect: quiet, intimate, with the option to sit outside or inside. The host gave us the impression that they only seat you if you have a reservation, so just make one to be safe.
What to order:
Avocado bruschetta - a nice intro to the meal. I wasn't expecting the mozzarella and avocado to blend as well as they did. I'd recommend sharing this appetizer versus just eating it on your own because it can get a little heavy and filling.
Seafood Ceviche - This was one of the specials for the night. $17 for a decent-sized portion. Clams, calamari, shrimp and fish cured in lime along with a little bit of red onion and a green citrus sauce. Perfect amount of tang from the lime and fresh flavors of the seafood made this dish delicious.
White Grape and Blackberry mojito - the only way to describe this drink is "grape jollyrancher." If you like that flavor, this drink is perfect for you. The alcohol taste is not heavy but very present. I would have had two if we weren't in a rush to go out dancing. -

We enjoyed this place very much. Good central South Beach location. Well lit outdoor eating. Food was excellent. They clearly emphasize quality over quantity. Had the Short Rib Empanadas, Butter Roasted Scallops and Angus Steak - all excellent. Our Host Joe was superb, friendly (and very cute!). Their complimentary bread basket was FANTASTIC - some type of buttery, pesto, garlicky, god knows what awesomeness. And one of the best parts and an unexpected surprise was it was a Thursday night when they have a live DJ. I was kind of surprised to see this in a restaurant but the music was not too loud, it was kind of perfect, and the music was really good. It just made waiting for food (which tends to happen when your food is cooked to order) that much more enjoyable. All in all GREAT NIGHT!!! ps - they have excellent coffee too!

Great cozy vibe. Service was a little slow but they seemed a little thin for the amount of people in the restaurant. The food was very good. Fresh grilled fish what could be better. While the pasta was good it wasn't amazing.

What a disappointment! After doing some research on Yelp, I chose this restaurant for a date. I was completely let down. It was not a good experience.
The service was ATROCIOUS. Typically, I am very forgiving, as I myself work in the restaurant industry, but dinner was just one mistake after another from our server. First, we were seated without menus, and waited 15 minutes before even being approached. (this was also not a busy night, 2 other couples in the outdoor area seated). When I asked for a wine recommendation, the server told me that he doesn't drink, and couldn't help. Entrees came out before we were finished with our apps. I asked if I could combine a few sides together on a plate as an entree (as I'm a vegan, and there weren't any vegetarian entrees), and the server said that no, that could not be done. After practically begging, he finally agreed to take me the sides, but separately, citing the reason why he wouldn't have the kitchen put it on one plate as some illogical inventory excuse. (it made no sense. So our tiny table was cluttered with unnecessary plates. Lovely.). He was inattentive, and mostly absent.
The food, however, was fresh and well presented. My shaved zucchini salad was bright and simple, and my date had the steak entree and he enjoyed it as well.
No matter the quality of the food, the service was spectacularly awful, and I would not recommend this to anyone, nor would I return. There are so many excellent restaurants in Miami where I can receive both good food and knowledgable, capable service. The front of the house management needs to have a serious reevaluation of their service standards. To have a server not even know the wines by the glass, whether he drinks or not, is ridiculous. -
Review from Ute L.
Went for Miami Spice Saturday evening and once again had a wonderful experience. Here is my take-away from the Miami Spice menu:
Soft poached eggs carbonara- A poached egg with bacon crumbles and freshly grated cheese, minus the English muffin. Ooey gooey goodness.
Fresh Avocado Bruschetta- large portion, didn't care for the white
bread, the fresh cheese was great albeit a bit bland
Sea Scallop & Kurobuta Pork Belly- my favorite. One perfectly seared
scallop and a small piece of fork-shreddable melt-on-your tongue BBQ
pork.
Black Truffle Risotto- Order this!!! Creamy, cheesy risotto topped with
fallen off the bone short ribs and a very flavorful, rich brown sauce.
Generous portion, perfectly sized although this was so delicious I could
have eaten another.
Crustaceans "Lasagna"- The name is misleading; it's really papardelle in a tomato sauce with clams, shrimp and scallops. Good but not
spectacular. I say go for the risotto and get your seafood fix with the
scallop starter.
Banana's Foster Pudding- Exactly how it is described, Nilla Wafers,
Fresh Banana, Salted Caramel Chantilly. The texture is light and fluffy
but although I love sweet and salty dishes, I felt for a dessert this
was too salty.
Mexican Chocolate Bread Pudding- I give the bread pudding 3 stars. Once again, dessert is not the chef's strong suit. While the pudding had good texture, it could have been more moist and the chili was simply too overpowering for a dessert. The cinnamon ice cream was delicious and relieved my mouth being on fire from the pudding.
Now that 660 gives 20% discount to Incard holders, we will be back.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Delicious brunch!! Was here with some girlfriends for a bachelorette weekend brunch. For $25 you can enjoy bottomless mimosas or bloody (which isn't too bad for South Beach area) - a friend ordered 1 bloody mary, which happened to be a bit too salty for her taste, and the bartender was happy to remake it to her liking and throw in 1 extra at no charge!
The brunch portions are big, so don't feel like you need to order a side unless you're really hungry. I had the cinnamon challah french toast and a side of homefries. Both were delicious but I just couldn't eat it all!
Our server was friendly, but I think they were a little short staffed since our water/coffee refills were a little slow an our server appeared to be serving the entire restaurant.
Overall, delicious food, cute environment, and fantastic service from our server Megan. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to a friend. -

I would have given this place 4 stars, but I deducted a star due to the fact that it took like 55mins for our food to come out. Mind you we didn't order anything difficult. A party of 8, 3 people order desserts and 3 people orders entrees. There's no way that should have taken a hour.
On the up side my dessert was great, I had the pecan-less pecan pie. I also tried the banana and bacon fritters (DELISH) it reminded me of breakfast when dipped in the syrup. I tasted a little of the duck wings, and I wasn't impressed. My husband enjoyed their fries. I would probably suggest to a friend that would mind taking a chance on waiting FOREVER for their food.Comment from James A. of 660 at The Angler's 10/19/2011

I love this place. The setting is very serene, romantic and cozy. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The place itself is small since it is located at the entrance of the hotel, but their management is excellent. I have come here numerous times and I am never left disappointed.
If you want pure deliciousness, I suggest you start with their Tom Collins for $9.00.
They have one of the better Miami Spice Menus. I got the poached egg carbonara. It basically has all the elements of the well-known pasta dish without the gluten.
My entree was the form free lasagna with shellfish. I expected a bit more sauce but it was still very good and satisfying.
I would probably get the Black Truffle Risotto with the short ribs next time. My friends ordered that and I must say that the flavors were very soothing and rich. Utterly satisfying.
My dessert was the favorite. Chocolate Bread Pudding with Cinnamon ice cream with a bit of spice. Served with a swirl of caramel. I wanted more!
If you are in town and want to get away from the chaos of SoBe this is the perfect place to enjoy the evening.
Love it!Listed in: Romantic places

Beautiful decor, great service, awesome food. Bruschetta mozzarella cheese is the freshest and tastiest mozzarella I've ever eaten. The truffle risotto with the short rib ragu was to die for with the meat being perfectly tender and risotto having just the right creaminess. Fav dish of the night was the nutella cake which might as well have been called heaven in your mouth.
Can't wait to go back and will certainly consider this restaurant for large dinner parties and events.

I brought my wife here to celebrate a special occasion and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The ambiance was quaint and romantic - almost loungey. It was a nice quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of the beach scene. The food was magnificent. We were blown away by the appetizers and entrees. We'd definitely be interested in trying out the brunch some day.
Try the avocado bruschetta. It was so good that I had to go home and recreate it later that week. MMM! -

Ordered off of the Miami Spice Prix Fixe menu. My friend and I shared our appetizers and entrees, so we could experience more of the menu. Thank goodness because my appetizer was better, but her entree was better.
Soft Poached Egg "Carbonara" - It's basically a poached egg with tiny, tiny bacon bits. More bacon probably would have made this dish better.
Sea Scallop & Kurobuta Pork Belly "Surf & Turf" - Delicious! Tender, oh-so-juicy pork belly! Succulent seared scallop.
Grilled 10 oz. Angus Flat Iron Steak - Cooked perfectly to medium rare, but not a great cut of meat. I think whoever cut the steaks cut in the wrong direction. Either way, it also wasn't very flavorful. I understand not overwhelming with flavors to mask the "meat" taste, but it was blah blah bland. The fried corn was tasty. I never saw any black bean puree . . .
Black Truffle Risotto - Topped with the delicious short ribs meat! This was my favorite thing of the night!
Overall, it was a decent meal, but I'm not sure I would come back or recommend it to others . . . -

Miami Beach, FL
This place gets 5 stars from me for a few reasons:
1. Pretty and lush outdoor spaces
2. Historical architecture
3. Family owned and operated
4. DELICIOUS food and drinks- always
5. It's managed to be one of the only classy establishments on the seediest of streets in South Beach- Washington Avenue.
I have eaten at the restaurant inside- which was super cozy and intimate. The chef even came out to greet us and see if things were all good- and they were.
We have also eaten outside- with a group of friends and again- the food was stellar. Truffle oil fries, fried chicken, panzanella salad- and the drink list is amazing- the Miami Mule is a must have. Yum.
The owners are brothers who are always very kind and so accommodating.
I highly highly recommend this place. It's a great place for a romantic evening with your luvvy or even just the girls...
And you must, if you are a local- take part in their Front Porch Suppers they run during the summer. Last year's lobster boil was a fave...
No hating this time. All good.

New York, NY
My friend and I recently went on vacation to Miami. So one night, we went out and uh, got extremely wasted and without a doubt, woke up with a mean hangover. The first thing on my mind at that point? Other than needing water, I really needed a great burger.
I, then Yelped my little heart away looking for a place close by (the humidity is unbearable so I didn't want to walk in that weather... hungover) and came across this hotel/restaurant with a 4-star rating!
We get inside and the place was fairly empty, so I was a bit hesitant about picking this place. We were sat immediately (like they had anyone else to tend to) and let me teeeeell you, the seats are so comfy, my friend and I almost passed out right when we sat down. (From the seats, not from the hangover... promise.) The decor overall is very pleasant and homey.
The server came over and handed us the lunch menus and well, whatta ya know... no burger on the lunch menu. I frantically flipped through the other pages and saw it was under the dinner menu. Erg...did this mean I couldn't get a burger? The server was nice enough to ask the chef if we could place the order for the Flat Top burger.
A few minutes after we ordered, the power went out. AWESOME! Luckily it was still light out and the dining area was still bright.
The manager came over and apologized about the matter and engaged in conversation. She was very sweet and funny and made light of the whole situation. After learning that we were both from Jersey was when all the Jersey Shore jokes kicked in. Ha...
Anyways, we ended up getting our burgers which partially helped our hangovers. I've had better burgers elsewhere, but the service definitely made up for everything else. -
Review from Megan L.
This was a really classy (for Miami Beach) hotel restaurant. We went for Saturday dinner and there was pretty much nobody else there, but it was alright since it's more of a cozy, quiet establishment.
I remember the avocado bruschetta, blistered corn risotto, and pappardelle carbonara being very good. Portions don't look too large when they arrive but everything was really filling.
Something was going on with the bartender and our drinks. Our first round of cocktails were all delicious, especially The Hendrix. The drinks after that were all either too strong or didn't resemble the original cocktails at all-- my friend's second Sixth & Washington was a completely different color, and her third one started off as a murky green concoction then turned into a swampy brown over time.
Anyway, dinner was still delicious and we were so food coma-ed that when we went clubbing after that, all we could do was sit there digesting in silence. -

Miami Beach, FL
you gotto love miami spice because i would have never discovered this beautiful restaurant any other way. its inside a boutique hotel. i had no clue as i dont frequent boutique hotels at home.
i made a reservation for two through opentable. me and my dinning companion arrived 15 mins late because we went for drinks first but since it was a weeknight, the restaurant was pretty empty and everything was good.
service was very attentive. on point. we didnt have to ask for the miami spice menu, like at some other restaurants where you have to cause otherwise they wont bring it to you. B wanted to share everything and im down with that. that always makes dinning better, sharing is caring you greedy bastards.
for appetizers we got the peking duck wings which were sweeeeeeeet and lean. i could eat these forever. unfortunately we only got 3 of them. B went for the vaca frita 'scallops.' turns out they lie. its not scallops, its more like scallop. one. uno. yeah. a joke, i know but that lonely scallop was good as fuck.
as main dish we got the risotto of the day. good portion. great flavor and consistency. risotto is a delicate dish but 660 knows how to make it. i was quite happy with it. we also got the 10oz angus steak. medium well. pretty good but a bit difficult to cut through it. i was hoping for a butterlike steak.
im not really a desserts guy but B assigned me the difficult task to pick the sweets. so i did. we got the panna cotta and the banana pudding. the pana cotta was excellent and again, i rarely go for dessert after a big meal. the banana pudding was wicked. sweet and salty. too sweet for me but definitely an interesting experience for your palatine glands.
im curious about the rest of their menu but the ambiance in this restaurant is very unique so ill have to wait for a special occasion to come back. -

Located on the bottom of the Anglers Boutique Hotel, 660 has become one of my favorite local spots on the beach.
Its nestled between the chaotic streets of Washington Ave and 7th, yet the hotel provides a serene hide-away where one can lay back and enjoy a delicious brunch outdoors while sipping bloody mary's or mimosas by the pool or return for a classic dinner night of wine and sumptuous menu items such as manchego croquetas and risotto.
The boutique hotel has a historic Mediterranean style with plush landscaping creating a delicate, romantic ambience. Its pet-friendly too so bring your pooch and a date along and you're in for a satisfying sit down! -
Review from Tal T.
I recently returned to 660 at The Anglers after a summer hiatus. While I had hoped they would make improvements on the food and service, I found instead that they have gone downhill.
Firstly, the prices were raised significantly. Now you must purchase an entree to order the bottomless drink special, whose price has been raised to $25. Gone were the days of strong Bloodys and quickly served mimosas. The Bloody Marys have too much horseradish and not enough vodka. The garnishes sit out all day at the "bar," and they taste stale for it.
The food remained basically the same - overpriced and boring. The service was... interesting. Our waiter's pupils were dilated and his synapses didn't seem to be firing. This Sunday surprise is not so shocking in Miami, where the likelihood is high that this ambivolent server headed to the restaurant's patio straight from Club Space's patio.
The only thing that saves 660 from being a mere one star experience is the beautiful atmosphere and charming vibe.1 Previous Review: Show all »

If the dinner menu is anything like their brunch menu, then let me tell you, this place is a winner! Looking forward to trying it out some time.
We went for brunch yesterday and because we couldn't decide on what to order, we each ordered something different off of the menu and went family style on it!
Let me tell you what we ordered:
-PB&J French Toast- I am a PB&J and a French toast girl. I had never thought of them together. Super high five on this one
-Breakfast Wrap- Bacon, egg and potatoes in a wrap? Very tasty (needed a bit of salt and pepper though) They even cut it into five pieces as a little surprise when they learned our plans for family steez
-Angler's Omelet- Goat cheese, asparagus, and a whole bunch of other goodies- YES PLEASE!
-Nutella and Banana Pancakes- Need I say more?
And finally, the masterpiece of the meal:
Applewood Smoked Bacon & Pecan Pancakes!!!
You read correct, it is an order of yummy pancakes with pieces of pecans and thick applewood bacon in them! Topped with cinnamon butter and Vermont Maple Syrup. For this little party in my mouth, simply put, I DIE!
And for the lush's of the bunch you can also get $25 bottomless mimosas!!! -

Miami Beach, FL
This place is supremely spectacular!
They have somehow unlocked the culinary secret to ever so slightly modernize the classics (like the house special Pasta Carbonara, fried soy beans, and the jaw- dropping- mouth- watering- Hi-5- your- dinner- date- for- choosing- 660 braised pork belly).... and yes, we really did Hi-5 at the table!
The ambience of this petite restaurant is tranquil and intimate, chic and lounge-like without losing the subtlety of comfort.
I've visited plenty, and never once have I been disappointed. Friends from out of town fly in and 660 is the first place I bring them to for a great meal. Weekend brunch is just as delicious as dinner. The applewood smoked bacon and pecan pancakes with cinnamon butter and vermont maple will surely satisfy your adventure-seeking palate. And if you're looking to taste revolutionized simplicity, order the eggs benedict or the superb Angler's omelet... your inner epicurean fanatic will undoubtedly thank you.
Dessert fan? Ask for the pear-apple cobbler. You might need a snorkel as you'll likely dive into this sea of decadency rather quickly once the sweet aromas greet you.
I'll swear again and again that 660's Exec Chef (and gastronomic magician, no doubt) Giorgio Rapicavoli knows what he's doing in the kitchen. His culinary creations show mastery of Mediterranean/American sophistication.
Truly a gem! -

Angler's is an easy breezy brunch spot for a lazy sunday. The menu items were great and affordably priced for such a luxe spot. The mimosas and bloody mary bar is self-serve inside the lounge area, with an assortment of toppings, juices, and toppings to add yourself, definitely worth it if you are going to hang around for a bit.
The hostess was extremely friendly and accomodating to large parties and reserved one table inside and one outside for us, just in case. We chose outside which might have been nicer with cooler weather. Either way, your seated in a somewhat tropical paradise munching on brunch favorites with a mimosa in hand, how could it get any better?
PS The parking garage right across the street (with vines around it) makes it much more convenient! -

I ate here for brunch. The atmosphere is relaxed and romantic. The overhead frames with flowing vines provide shade from the Miami heat. The service was great and the food was spectacular. I had the eggs benedict- no frills, just simple, honest, good food. The fried edamame, however, was also a unique twist on a classic. I would definitely go back.
Of note, we used a coupon from http://restaurant.com, making it a little more affordable. -

Miami Beach, FL
The bad news is that, as of Oct 2010, they've raised the price of the bottomless mimosas and bloody marys from $14 to $25. Add that to a $13 entree and you still have a good brunch deal, but not the super steal it once was.
The outside seating is absolutely gorgeous, shaded by palms and bamboo, and completely hidden from Washington. Now that the weather has cooled off I could relax in that tranquil oasis for hours. You can totally do it too because brunch is literally served all day -- until 5 p.m. I love Miami.
The service remains impeccable. Our waiter was Alex who went out of his way to explain the price change, but then made sure our glasses of bubbly and fresh squeeze florida orange juice never even got close to empty.
Price change or no, it's my favorite spot for brunch on the beach and I'll definitely be back.Listed in: Outside, please!

Bottomless mimosas and bloody marys anyone? We came for Sunday brunch to celebrate a good friend and fellow Yelper's birthday. Tucked away on Washington Ave, this adorable spot has umbrellas, comfy benches and all kinds of shady greenery on their outside patio.Loved it! The indoors was sweet, too, with living-room style couches and a very cozy feel.
While I didn't indulge in drinking on this particular day, others in our party did, and I think the bottomless deal is a great one: $14 for unlimited mimosas or bloody marys. For both you go inside to this little bar and mix up your own concoction. Too cute!
For breakfast I had the nutella and banana pancakes. They were very, very rich and tasty. Didn't even use maple syrup, nutella was enough. Could have used more banana, but overall very enjoyable. As far as I heard, everyone else dug their meals as well.
Our server was a little on the sporadic side, and there were a few things that irked me a little - like him asking us to write down everything we each had at the end when we wanted to split the checks. But overall, it was fine, and he was nice enough. Will definitely be back for this delightful brunch! Loved the overall menu, too - very unique.Listed in: Marvelous Morning Meals

We found this place through http://restaurant.com and although it had good reviews, I didn't have high expectations. But they ended up being exceeded, and then some.
I have to refer readers to Alexandra D's review of 3/18/11, because I don't think I could have said it better myself. Although hubby and I didn't Hi-5 at the table, (it was, after all, our anniversary celebration) there was a lot of concerned-looking, fork-pointing "mmm" "MMM"-ing going on. -

Dined with beau for our first Miami dinner last week. The service and food we recieved was our least favorite during our getaway.
When ordering cocktails the server didn't know which bourbon's were available, much less even what bourbon was. Pour the kid a drink for goodness sake (he seemed shaky, nervous).
Fried soy beans were good, had a nice lemon zest flavor. Beau had an okay goat cheese -walnut salad, the presentation bowl wasn't complimenting. Our entree's were .. meh. Ordered the pot roast and their local yellow snapper, which wasn't fresh. Meh
The experience wasn't rewarding enough for dessert. Booooo -

The bf and I decided to check out this restaurant for their Miami Spice menu, and I encourage everyone to RUN over there before Miami Spice ends in September.
It's a quaint little spot located inside The Angler's, a boutique hotel on Washington Ave. The restaurant has about five tables inside (more located outside), so it has a low-key vibe mixed together with that South Beach cool.
We had made reservations (by calling about an hour beforehand) and although we were 30 minutes early, we got seated immediately upon arriving. First came the bread. Delish. Warm and served with olive oil and pepper (my fave). Then came our appetizers - we both ordered the loaded potatoe croquetas (filled with bacon, cheddar and chives) and served with a ranch dipping sauce. This is one of the most inventive appetizers I've ever tasted. One of the most delicious too - I definitely recommend it.
For the entree, again we both got the same thing - the Bulgogi skirt steak which came with a side of peanut noodles, a coleslawy type of salad and cucumbers drenched in a sweet tasting sauce. The skirt steak was MASSIVE, and absolutely delectable. Soft, chewy and just perfect. The peanut noodles were awesome, as were the cucumbers (this coming from a person that hates anything having to do with cucumbers). The coleslaw was not my favorite, but the bf loved it so much he helped himself to mine.
For dessert, the bf got the panna cotta with berries and I got the Belgian waffle bread putting, which was topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with maple syrup and garnished with candied bacon bits. OMG. I have never had anything like this. This dessert alone would make me go back. SO friggin' good!
Two reasons this didn't get five stars:
1) The valet was super ghetto fabulous. We get there and there's no one at the valet stand. We have to walk in, get a girl from the hotel to give us a ticket, give her our keys, etc. etc. To have to bust that mission and basically park my own car, they should be giving ME $10. Then when we leave, the guy doesn't even park our car in front of us, he parks it in some parking lot next to the hotel, which we have to walk over to. Isn't the point of paying ridiculous valet fees the convenience factor?
2) The service was a bit slow. For it being such a small place I can understand it; HOWEVER, there was a large table with about six people who appeared to be chummy with one of the waiters. They kept getting plates of food brought over to them with the quickness, so that seemed a little suspect to me. -

This place was an immense disappointment. The appetizers had very little taste and the entrees tasted more like charcoal than steak and chicken. Even the desserts left a bad taste in my mouth. This was my first and last time coming here.

If it wasn't for Miami Spice I would have never come across this restaurant and I'm so glad we did! My bf and I celebrated our one year anniversary here and I'm so happy we did. The venue is romantic and cozy, the dark wood gives it that little extra touch and the service is amazing!!!!! The Staff was very personable and the manager offered us two free drinks while we waited for our server. I can't wait to go again!!!

Charming!
A hidden gem, no... actually, more like a hidden diamond a la the rock from Titanic, y'know which one.
I came here for lunch recently. As soon as I stepped inside I knew this was not a typical South Beach Washington Avenue restaurant. This place was quiet and peaceful and I instantly felt an ease wash over me. I went over to the bar where I took out my laptop which they graciously plugged in for me. The bartender/waiter was friendly and helpful. We chatted briefly and he even went to ask others about the building (this building was first opened in 1939).
I decided to leave the bar behind, find a great seat, and order an appetizer since my lunch companions would soon be arriving. I settled on the brie bites which are melted brie and raspberry. As my lunch mates arrived they chose the prosciutto wrapped dates and the cheese plate. Everything looked good and we were busy working away at our plates and enjoying the bread sticks/sheets. For my entree I went with the prosciutto panini. We skipped dessert but you can bet I'm coming back for some of that.
All in all a delicious meal in a lovely setting with lively and intelligent company.
This is a charming restaurant which evokes old Miami Beach. It's full of light and charm. The sunshine is there but somehow so is a comforting shade. This seems like the perfect place for a long, leisurely lunch followed by a siesta.
The service here is nearly perfect and very in tune with the clientele almost anticipating and accommodating all needs.
Perfect for groups or small, intimate dinners.
For some reason this restaurant conjures images of great writers from the Lost Generation having explicitly thought-provoking conversation over drinks.
You might find me hanging out here often especially, in the summer, "off-season" months when I can soak in the welcoming, cozy atmosphere. -

No more $10 bottomless mimosas.
Just went there a couple of weeks ago and they informed me of the sad news. We ordered a round anyway thinking, we'll drink them while the food comes, have another round with the food, and it'll be reasonable.
Well, we finished our first round and waited.
I say we waited for food an hour total and it never came. I'm not exaggerating. An hour. And there was one other table seated at the restaurant.
Waiter came around and asked if we wanted another round. I asked where the food was. He said he was sorry and it'd be a while longer. Really? After an hour?
Paid for the mimosas and left.
Basically, now it's just another overpriced and bad south beach restaurant. Congratulations.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

So many things to say about this place. My girlfriend and I were trying to decide which Miami Spice restaurant to hit up next. This one came up and we decided to give it a go. Upon arriving, there was no valet, so I just parked right outside the place, and we had to go inside and get someone who worked there to notify them that we wanted to park valet. Fail. Anyway, once we were seated, the friendly server brought us our water and bread, and took our order.
We both decided to try the croquettes stuffed with bacon, cheese, and chives. Genius. The dipping sauce that came along with it complimented it extremely well, and I was tempted to drink the sauce. Yes, it was THAT good.
For the main course, we both got the Bulgogi skirt steak. It was a long skirt steak, cooked to perfection, with a side of noodles and shaved cabbage. Everything on this place was amazing. The noodles were the weakest item, though. A) because they were cold, and B) it was just literally noodles, peanuts, and sauce. I don't know, if I'm going to a place where it is 40+ per person, I'd like a little more creativity.
Now, where 660 at The Anglers really shines is it's dessert. Like a fool, I went with the panna cotta. My girlfriend ordered the AMAZING Belgian waffle bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and candied bacon bits. The bread pudding by itself was something out of this world. Warm and toasty, topped with maple syrup. I might have to go back one day JUST for that.
The decor inside is nice. The lighting is constantly changing, slowly, something I didn't notice until about 15 minutes into our dinner. Like I said before the service is very attentive and extremely friendly. When we were leaving, though, there was another fluke with the valet. The guy was on the phone or something, and took a while to notice us. Then he parked the car in a random lot adjacent to The Anglers Resort because he didn't have a valet spot in front of the restaurant. Well, no tip for him, the valet was already $10.
So, I highly recommend this spot if you're in the area, but avoid the valet and try to find a different parking option.
