    Ordered a taxi for 3:30am pickup to Logan Airport through 617-TAXICAB.   The taxi arrived on time, the driver was friendly, but not overly so, and the ride was pleasant.  Overall- a positive experience.  I will go with 617-TAXICAB next time, too.

    Never actually got a cab from them... I called to order one on a Friday night, and I was told there were a lot of cabs in my area. Like... yeah I know, but I need to KNOW I'll have one. And why would you want me to use some other cab company??? I wanted to pay you guys!!! Doesn't seem smart to me.

    Awful service. I called for a pick up and was told 15-20 min. After 30 min, I called back, the receptionist told me "oh, they're right around the corner." I waiting another 20 minutes before calling again and the receptionist said "We're not sure where he is, it shouldn't be much longer."
    I told her to cancel. I'd never call them again.

    So I thought I left my Wallet in this taxi companies taxi # 1051.  I initially gave them 3 stars because of my own error.

    Car 1051 where are you???!!!!

    I would like to point out that after MANY- think 20-30 phone calls to all the different cab companies,  getting hung up on over and over again, being spoken to in a rude manner, this gentlemen at 617taxicab took the time to explain things to me on how to go about getting my wallet back despite my 3star review on this company.

    I can't thank him enough for helping me.  In a stressful time of losing ones ID, credit cards, check cards, nursing licenses etc. I am glad I was able to speak with him!

    I only wish I had got his name.

    I will be calling this cab company from now on!

    Do NOT use 617-TAXI-CAB.

    I had a train to catch at South Station at 6:30, and I was hoping to take the Red Line. I called 617-TAXI-CAB at 3:30 to schedule a ride to the T station for 5:30, and they took my information down and promised me a cab. 5:35 rolled around with no sign of a cab. I called them just to confirm that a cab was on its way, and the woman on the phone tells me that no cabs are available and that I would have to wait an additional hour for one to come. I told her that I had called two hours in advance specifically to avoid this situation and that I had a train to catch at 6:30. I also told her that at the very least they could have called me to let me know I should make alternative arrangements. She had the nerve to give me attitude and make it seem like *I* was the idiot. In fact, she told me I should call my local cab company, and when I expressed incredulity that I would have to do that, she very rudely asked something to the effect of, "Do you have their phone number? Do you know how to Google?"

    I ended up having to call my local cab company (I needed no help Googling them) and, instead of taking the T as I had planned, I had to take my cab all the way to South Station because of all of the time I had lost thanks to 617-TAXI-CAB. It cost me at least $25 more than I had planned on spending because of their failure to show up.

    I would *NEVER* do business with them again, after the ordeal I went through. It's one thing to make a mistake with dispatching cabs and taking reservations, but it's something else to respond to a frustrated customer with a disproportionate degree of unprofessionalism and rudeness. 617-TAXI-CAB is an awful operation, to say the least.
