Wow! I can't believe people think what they are selling qualify as bagels! Yesterday (new year's day) I went to grab some bagels and cream cheese for friends and family staying over before they headed home. I grabbed 8 bagels and cream cheeese. When I arrived home, I started to run my bread knife (the one with rounded serrations) through it and it was like cutting through cardboard. I tried this on the next 3 bagels only to discover that these bagels were completely dry.

I ended up calling the bagel shop and asking them if the bagels they had given me were fresh and he said three times, they had been baked this morning.

Well, I really wish he hadn't because it then confirmed for me that they literally have the worst bagels I've ever eaten in NY from a shop that has "Bagel" in the title. These bagels are like the pretzels sold at a NY hot dog stand, hard and tasteless.

You know a good bagel because they are chewy, the flavor comes through and a bread knife will slide right through. I was mortified for having brought these home. No one ate them, and I now have 8 uneaten bagels in my kitchen that will get thrown away.

Don't go here if you know what a real bagel tastes like.

Don't go here.  The place is dirty and unmaintained.  They have wifi, but no convient plugs.  The food is terrible.  My Italian sandwich was gross all around.

I'm obligated to give "The 'tique" at least 4 stars because it is so close to my apartment that it acts as our 'lazy-man's kitchen.'

The Tiquer's serve up my plain with bacon scallion (not toasted) and  large coffee fast and fresh everytime. The service is friendly, and the same 3 Time Warner cable-dudes are in there every single morning at 8:30 so that's a good sign.

Only beef is that I wish it was 24 hours (though that's what 5th Ave. Market is for)

Thanks Bageltique, for feeding me when I am too tired or lazy to take care of myself :)

I'll keep it short and sweet:

Why I love it: After doing a tour-de-bagel shops this one is my favorite.

Why you'll love it: Well, um because I love it?

Why it's not a 5: They are no longer open 24-7 which makes my insomniac side, and party side sad.

A place calling itself bageltique is like a boutique store calling itself boutigel.

I had what you call sexcellence at this place at 2am in the morning.
It was a Ham deluxe hero. It had the following: Lots of ham, Lots of bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cheese. Crispy toasted hero but smooth juicy inside.
    Can you dig it?

The place is like two pronged place, literally if you look from bird's eye. Two sets of table areas connected at the top by your faithful bagel kitchen, they serve up some sandwiches, all kinds of your usual bagels.

The funniest thing about that night was, it was 2, maybe 2:30am. The place is dead, we were coming from Union Hall. I was with two lovely ladies, and there was this beer belly old dude just sitting there at a table. He gives me a look, doing the raise eyebrow and point at the girls look. I was like, that's totally weird, but I acknowledged his effort to connect me and the girls together.

He starts talking to Jess, and when I went outside, Jess goes, "Oh that was my uncle".

I'm not sure what he was doing there at 2:30am. Not sure at all.

The ladies had tuna salad. I opted for that manly ham sandwich. The problem is I waited to eat it except one preview bite until I got home. I should have eaten everything then, because it got soggy as we waited for the train. Still tasted great though.

As far as bagels go, these are substandard. I got an everything bagel that had very little "everything".  ordered cream cheese with chives but just got lots of goopy cream cheese (no chives). Toasted ended up as burnt. You can do so much better in park slope.

I had time to kill and I needed some food, so I stopped in here for what ostensibly should be a staple on every deli's menu -- roast beef on a roll.

I don't ask for much for this kind of meal; all I want is a good sandwich and for you to leave me alone while I eat it (and read my college football preview -- Go Dawgs!) That said, they messed up the first part (the bread was stale-ish and the meat was all grey and not particularly flavorful) and the second part was affected greatly by the lack of air conditioning. I mean, if you're not going to have a/c (says the Southerner), at least have doors and fans going.

Otherwise it's like eating in a sauna. And that just makes everything sweaty and limp. And no one likes limp ... bread.

I'm always passing by this place on my way to a restaurant or Associated Supermarket and have never been inside.  The entrance seems small and honestly uninviting - you can't really seem to tell if people are actually eating inside or whether or not there are any patrons at all.

But I'm super glad I came in this weekend after a hard game of hand ball for a Ham and Cheese Hero.  L&T and a lil mayo.  Perfect.  My new go-to place if I want a sandwich in the hood.

3 Stars for if you need food bad and it's 2am.  We were walking up 5th Avenue desperately in search of food at around 2am.  We settled on this place basically because it was this or Blue Ribbon and we just wanted a quick bite.  They have many a sandwich to choose from all of which can be served on a bagel.  They have many bagels.  It satisfied my appetite, the atmosphere was bright and uninviting, but in desperate times, Bageltique is there for you.
We first went to Lighthouse looking for food (we ended up going after) but the bartender told us we could get food at Bageltique and could bring it in the bar to eat, so I would def. recommend that.

Great (and pretty much ONLY) place to go in the middle of the night or when you're coming home from a night out and trying to stave off a hangover.

I only get two things here: sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese or sesame bagel with sausage/egg/cheese.  Both are pretty good, but then again, it would be pretty hard to screw them up.

I haven't seen any signs advertising the "'green tea sushi" for about a year now, so I think they finally got the idea that no one comes to a bagel joint looking for a sushi fix.

This is officially the perfect "i'm home from the bars and i'm out walking the dog at 4am and i need an egg sandwich and vitamin water or i will die" place.

    good bagels too
and they make a mean meatball sandwich
    and a good ruben
haven't tried the french toast yet

24 hours - bagels - they get the basics RIGHT.

But...What the heck is up w/ sushi?(can anyone vouch for this?) Not to mention their recent, butt-nasty "renovation", which features GIANT photos of sushi on the walls, and other giant food stuff. Weird!

To most of you it was probably just a normal deli but since I lived so close to it for 6 months I became quite attached to them for breakfast.  It's a solid choice for a quick bagel or breakfast sandwich.  The staff is always quick and very friendly.  Maybe I came too often and maybe I'm just boring in my choices but the guys actually remembered my usual order and would tell me what I wanted.

I think my favorite part are the little old men that frequent here on the weekends in the corner and discuss news or what not.  It's obviously the type of neighborhood place you feel comfortable going back to and I have yet to find another deli in my new hood that can replace them in my heart.

Ok I know that the food here isn't the best, and you can definitely get a better cup of coffee down the street, but I still love this place. The staff is friendly and will make anything you want, even if it's not on the menu. I'm a veggie, so I've never ordered meat here (but honestly, I wouldn't even if I did eat meat). All I can vouch for are the bagels, grilled cheese, and breakfast sandwiches.

Best of all, they're open almost 24/7. Where else can I get a grilled cheese with onions at 2 am?

Contrary to other reviews, I really don't mind this place. It's a draw between here and Bagel World as far as where i'll get my bagel breakfast from, and today, this place won. The man on the phone was really nice, got our order perfectly, and delivery took 10-15 minutes on a busy Sunday morning. The iced coffee was good, the bagel was good, and I can't complain.

This place was the location of a walk of shame for me many moons ago, and I still like it, so I suppose that says something, hah. But in all honesty, I'd never eat IN this place, but the delivery was fast and on point. 'nuff said

Only went here once and got a whole wheat bagel with tofu scallion spread. Bangin! It was 4ish something dollars so typical price I guess.  I orignally wanted to order some kinda wrap or hero but they didn't seem to have many veggie selections :-(

Excellent bagel with cream cheese and lox...not to mention they added on tomato and onion for me in just the right amounts. A wonderful slathering of cream cheese, and they definitely didn't skimp on the lox. Plus, they have the full line of Vitamin Waters, which is my secret addiction. Also grabbed bagels for friends and for family, everyone was overly satisfied. It's hard to compare bagel places in NY, because most of them are amazing, so I can't in full fairness give it 5 stars, but those were some darn good bagels!

Toasted everything bagel with scallion spread pleeeease. I heart this place, yes I said heart, like a 12 year old. But it's only because the ability to get my favorite bagel for 3 dollars makes me giggle like a little school girl. Also, this place is 2 blocks away from my apartment and I'm always lazy and hungry. So are you, don't lie.

This was my first meal I ate out when I moved to Park Slope. I was on my way to Associated and thought I'd stop in because I was ravenous. It isn't a place you'd want to hang out at for a while- very cafeteria like. However, that sandwich was SOOOOO satisfying. I would go here again for a to-go order, but since the atmosphere kind of sucks I wouldn't eat in again. Good, solid food at decent prices. Not too shabby.

    oh god

    oh god

Just popped in for a quick sandwich to kill time while my clothes were being sorted through down the street at Beacon's Closet. The iced coffee was fine, whatever. The tuna melt I got... oh god. I'd rather not know how old that tuna salad was. A shame, because I remember noting how crisp the tomato was and how few places get the obligatory slice of tomato on  a sandwich right.

I valiantly tried to continue nibbling on the sandwich, but gave up when it was only about a quarter eaten, threw the rest out. A waste of money, but if the miserable feeling I have in my gut even from that much is any indication, I saved myself from a horrible fate.

Curse you, 5th Avenue Bageltique! You only get an extra star because of the surprising quality of your produce! Oh god, oh god... I'm gonna go back to lying down inside feeling yucky on this TRULY glorious summer day.... :( Curse you.

Specializing in delicious homemade bagels, fresh from the oven, the Bageltique is a 24-hour deli with a great selection of quality eats.  If you're there after midnight, chances are good there'll be a NYPD cruiser or two parked out front, fueling up on coffee and sandwiches, lending more credence to the Bageltique's place as the premier late-night food supplier of Park Slope.  Every time I'm in the neighborhood, I stop by for a tuna melt with muenster on a bagel and a half dozen bagels to go.

The plus: it is really my only option for a full breakfast at 5am if I am too groggy to make anything myself. The minus (and it is a big minus): their tofu cream cheeses often have that tangy-turned taste, and the scallions can be a bit slimy - I would pick somewhere else if early morning is not the only option.

Lived around the corner from this place since it opened ages ago.  Though the bagels and ambiance have definitely seen better days, like when it first opened the service is still good.  This place never fails to deliver a good morning meal or your 5am drunken demands for a Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich.   Thumbs up!
