Best Asian food in Friendswood. The service isn't the best, but the food is great and priced right. The dynamite roll is the best!

Great local Japenese and Chinese Food.  I have eaten here over a dozen times now and definately prefer the japanese dihes over the chinese, but I have yet to have a bad meal.  Tonight with had several different types of sushi and everything was wonderful.  I highly recommend the "Fancy Roll" which is crab and tempura fried sweet potatoe.  It is simply fabulous.

This is a classy little place that also is reasonably priced.  They will continue to see my business.

This restaurant has Chinese & Sushi. I opt-out on Chinese and headed straight to the sushi menu.  The sushi menu had different types of sushi which was a plus because I love trying different combinations. We had 3 sushi rolls which were all good.

Clean restaurant, great & friendly staff, and good food. You can't beat that.

I have been going here for a while, and thanks to my girlfriend's fixation on their ginger salad, more often than I would ideally want.

The food is good, sometimes it's downright brilliant. The 528 roll of sushi is something I find myself craving quite often. The Hunan chicken is succulent and spicy and the szechaun chicken is something to behold.

Among all this joy, something is very much amiss. I can't bring myself to love to the point of reliance (like I do with Pho Yen down the road). The wait staff is kind, and the owner is fairly nice and floating around from time to time, though not very chatty. This place should have everything for a 4-5 rating. But I can't bring myself to do it and I'll tell you why.

You are essentially having the same food in 3 different restaurants. 888 on 646 is basically 528 minus the sushi and I'm assuming the 888 Bistro on El Camino is 888 with sushi which would make it 528.
It's not just a series of too many 8's that has me reffraining from declarations of raunchy food love, it's rather generic.

When you order an Orange chicken here it's exactly like the way you have it at other places. Some other places give you a ton of meat, some try to shoehorn place fillers like peppers in there. 528 is sadly the latter. A lot of their entres suffer this problem. I love a restaurant that is confident in the meat it's serving me by giving me a bunch of it. IT'S KIND OF WHAT I'M PAYING FOR. When you shovel in things like bell peppers (I'm sorry if you like them but to me they are devoid of flavor and just a lazy way of trying to make a meal more filling for a lack of meat), brocoli, and carrots, I just tend to think the preperation is lazy. Granted the food here looks great and tastes good, it just seems to lack that immagination, that story to tell, that opinion on how to do certain dish.

I'd definitely recommend popping in and grabbing a bite. The house Sushi is great because it gives you creamcheese without the avocado (they are both great flavors on their own, but they just don't work together for me). And the food is served on time and very hot and fresh. The appetizers are nothing to write home about because you've had them at every other chinese restaurant out there.

It's a good place, it just lacks that spark of greatness.

Finally, an Asia restaurant in Friendswood that knows how to cook and present  Chinese and Japanese food. We enjoy whatever they serve us every time we eat there. The decor is modern Asian. The Red Room with the deep wooden furniture keep it very warm and friendly. The moment you walk into the place, you feel like your favorite cousins are there to welcome to a great meal.  Sushi Rolls, soups, Chinese dishes all look fresh and appetizing.

One night the chief created a firework display of fruit platter. It was almost too pretty to eat.

Enjoy meeting family and friends after work at this place. Maybe we will see you there.

Having lived in Friendswood for a year now it was nice to have lunch at a descent Asian cafe. The lunch specials are under $10 and the food was good, as well the service was very speedy and polite.

Nice private booths along the wall provide a place you can have a quite conversation w/out being drowned out by your neighbors. The portions are right too, not huge amounts of food that will make you feel guilty for leaving behind or forcing you to eat as leftovers all week long.

    Nice job, I will return.

Good Chinese food is something Friendswood has needed for a long time. This place gets the job done, but at a higher price point than I would like.

I have not had a bad experience here and I've tried quite a few of the dishes.  The wait staff is always friendly.

I will continue to eat here.

Tastefully decorated, great service with a smile, and the food is exceptional.  I love the house Special Sushi and I ask for eel sause with mine, also love the (spicey)  Hunan beef, and shrimp with eggplant hot pot is wonderful, and the lettuce wraps are the best Ive found in the area.  Tea is fresh and constantly refilled and you can sit at the sushi bar or at a lovely table or comfy booth.  My only complaint is to the parents ,,, I love children but please dont let them run around, pull on the blinds, move the furniture, scream and cry loudly, in a resturant.  When I was leaving a grown up dad Im guessing was running relay with a group of kids and smiling at all the adults exiting the resturant for approval like "See ... Im a good Dad " ????  Please get some psychological help and with your reverted childhood and let the patrons enjoy the food they paid for and lets leave out  the adolecent parent trying to prove his worth by acting out in front of adults just enjoying a night out, effectively causing the children  to act out in public inappropriately. I was at Pappas Seafood yesterday and a male nurse let his kids swing on the blinds and distrupt the entire south wing of the resturant.   Up Down, open close, scream, yell, moan, run, and everyone was freaking out over it.

Please... Just a little peace when people go out..  with out it the daddy daycare, gone amuck.. thanks  !!!  Ok ive vented enought.. but please try Asian Bistro.

Interesting combination of Japanese and Chinese. Although the sushi is not top-flight, it is more than passable and is great fun if you don't want to drive all the way up to Oishii or any of the other great sushi bars in Houston (Azuma...). And unlike those bars, you can combine it with Chinese that is smart. I would stay on the side of less-goop when ordering from the Chinese menu.
They have a good happy hour - beers are cheap.

It's okay, seems like a lot of chicken fat and chicken scum in the special fried rice. Looked like stuff that didn't belong was in the fried rice.
