We initially only stayed here because it was the only 'resort' in Guerneville that did NOT have a 3 day minimum.  That stupid 'resort' policy almost made me swear off g-ville for good.  It's so hard to find a place to stay on a weekend without having to stay for 3day.  I have a hard enough time getting 2 days off.
Anywho, the place is old yes but, not old like rotting old more like character old.   This is not a 5 star resort.  But the price is great, the staff is very friendly.  They ARE pet friendly and they have a couple of cool 'house' cats that are pretty friendly.
They have a little green belt/garden in the middle of the cabins where guests can sit around a fire pit or bbq or just hang out if they so choose.  The pool and hot tub are well kept and clean.
They actually stayed open an extra 30 minutes just because we were running late on our check in.
I will definately stay at this place again.  The price is great (we had a private studio for $115 a night when everybody else was charging almost $200.

@the other poster about the stains.  The reason they have to charge a pet deposit is not for your dog to have its own bed to sleep on but because some people's animals aren't house broken and cleaning carpets is not cheap.

It's about 1mile from downtown g-ville.
Great, cute, kinda Zen, I like this place.  Definately relaxing.

I booked a room online for $125.  They emailed me saying there was a "mistake on our online reservation system" and that the room should have been listed at $149.  I replied that the mistake was not mine and they should honor the price advertised.  They declined the reservation.

Bad business practice and poor integrity.

I'm surprised that today with Yelp and Twitter users abound, that a business, in the hospitality industry no less, would take that risk over $24.

My husband and I stayed here for a long summer weekend. Our cabin was small but clean and cute. The grounds were lovely. The staff and proprietress were friendly and helped to plan our stay. They served a "continental" breakfast each morning but it also included a delicious hot entree. There was a friendly cat, Frank, who really contributed to the character. I had a massage at the spa and it was one of the best I've had. We actually wanted to go ahead and book it for the following year for a larger cabin and take the kids/friends. Great location for wine tasting, bike riding, river recreation, hiking.

This place is an old motel that they describe as eco-friendly cabins. We stayed here because they are supposedly a dog friendly hotel. Our room had stains all over the carpet, I would not take my shoes off. We have stayed at several dog friendly hotels where they have bowls for the dogs, bed, blankets in the room waiting for you (since I paid for having a dog) I expected that. We got nothing but nasty stains on the carpet. A very old room, stains all over the deck and a "disco" nite light in the bathroom that changed colors throughout the night. This is NO SPA or RESORT.
I would never recommend it to anyone.

The staff was very friendly here, the price was good for a suite, and the outside garden area was pretty.  I didn't give it 5 stars because when we walked into our suite it was so stuffy and musty we had to open all the windows, turn on the fans, and wait a while before we could enter.   We sat on our patio in the evening and it would have been nice but right in front of our cabin was a table and chairs in the garden and 4 people arguing very loudly about politics and religion.   Its right next to the road but we couldn't hear much of the traffic with our fans on.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place changes owners every 2 or 3 years and while the current owner has tried to improve this shit hole, its still a shit hole. Rooms are old and ugly, don't be tempted by the web site, it's not accurate.  The reason I am writing this is because I had a reservation, I cancelled within the time required and they would not return my phone calls nor would they refund my money. I have disputed my charge on my credit card and I am reporting them to the BBB of Sonoma County and the CA State Atty General.  Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. They have terrible customer service and a rude owner.

Nice place, but it a little overpriced for the studio cabin. Clean rooms and bathrooms.  Decent pool, decent coffee, nice  managers.  The rooms are a little dark, but it keeps them cool when its hot out.  The bed was nice and firm, and the kitchenette has clean wine glasses and small fridge. Each cabin has its own porch with chairs.  Directly across the street is a good bar with live music and a back patio. Only annoyance:  We asked one of the manager for advice on wineries that were open past 5 p.m. and whether we should make reservations at Mosaic.  He authoritatively said that all wineries stay open until 6 or 7 (which turned out to be wrong) and that reservations weren't needed at Mosaic (also wrong). Its a minor complaint, but when guests are trying to plan the next 8 hours it helps to give them accurate information.
