Very nice building and park. A few bike trails, lots of access to the water. Canoe and kayak rental. As far as I know this is the only place in the Mobile area where you can rent a kayak (although the shop here has another branch: Fairhope Boat Company) The people here will give you some advice such as "We have a north wind today so head through this sluice instead of the other one." That's useful. Kayaks and PFDs are in good shape. Paddles aren't so good.
Two complaints. Some of the buildings are actually too big to be really used. What are they for? Secondly, the prices for kayak rental are a bit high. At Blackwater park in Florida, you can rent a kayak or canoe for less money and there the rental includes a ride to an upriver put-in.
