if you live in sunnyvale or a neighboring city and need your document notarized, look no further...come here!!

i was quite shocked to find a $5 notary when all other places in silicon valley charge $10, if not more!

i went in and asked to have my document notarized, filled out my portion, had the document stamped & sealed, paid him $5, and left.  there was even a mailbox outside the store so that i could mail my document right away.

    no wait + less than 5 minutes processing + $5 = 5 stars!

I yelped for a Notary and found this place on Yelp and boy am I glad I did! Half price and they do FEDEX shipping too.

Had to get some important documents notarized and shipped pronto and Ms. Singh made me sing with her efficiency. She was very helpful. The only strange thing I found is the sort of spartan furnishings, they meet you at the counter and do all the business there. But hey, it is HALF the PRICE!

Drive in to the driveway for the CHAAT Restaraunt and turn left. In and out in under ten minutes!

They have also mailing options there. (fedex, USPS,..)
$5 for notary , and no waiting in long USPS lines.

    Avoid this place!!!
Staff lied in order to charge twice as much. Once I discovered the scam, they refused to refund my money, and were completely unapologetic.
Went there to get ONE "apostille" document to use it in two countries. The stuff there insisted that I couldn't do that, that it was my obligation to get two because each document was made for one specific country and could not be used in another.
When I went to pick them up I realized that the two documents were exactly the same, the staff that was there at that time told that indeed I only needed one for any country. I explained that they themselves insisted me that I had to get and pay for two of them.
So I ask for a refund for one of them, they refused, and change back their story saying that I needed two, I checked online and the real answer is that I don't need two, one is more than enough
Still, they will not return my money saying that it was my mistake to get two documents, these people have no shame!! Completely dishonest!!

Boy, this place is crackin' after work hours.  I dropped by around 5:30pm today and there were 3 people ahead of me and even people when I left BUT don't worry, I was the 4th customer and still managed to get in and out within 10 minutes.  $9 for 2 passport photos.  Score!!!  The quality of the photo was great and the lady knows how to take a proper photo.  They also take debit/credit for any transaction so it's all legit hah

Stumbled upon this place through yelp to get my daughter papers notarized.

It really is just $5 per signature. ive been to other places that start of at $10!

They get you in and out quick...

Whats different about this place and other places that I've been to is that they only stamp and sign your papers while the other places I've been to also has their embossed seal. Also they only ask for your signature here and not your thumb print also...

If that isnt a biggie to you then this place is a great deal!

Yes, it's only $5 for notarizing a document, regardless of what the document is. It doesn't even have to be in English. They just stamp and sing it, and have you sign using your thumb fingerprint (yes) in a paper register.

They are also an authorized FedEx shop. But BEWARE if you want to mail the notarized document internationally - FedEx charges about twice as much as USPS international! Check rates on their websites, don't just pay for FedEx because it's right there in the shop.

Nice efficient staff. They also do apostilles.

The shop sign is "$5 Notary", not "California Notary Public". They take VISA and Mastercard (no AMEX).

This review is for passport photos only, but if it's any indication of the rest of their services then I would highly recommend them.

After being deterred away from Kinko's and Walgreens due to the horrible Yelp reviews about slow service and photo quality, I came here instead but with low expectations. It is after all just a passport photo not a glamour shot. I just wanted a decent photo that didn't look like it was taken with a Polaroid, and I wanted it quick.

This place did it all and completely exceeded my expectations! I was in and out in under 10 minutes (perhaps even 5), AND it was the best ID pic I've ever taken (perfect lighting and hi-res). The gentleman was friendly and prompt. The room was already set up with the proper background, professional lighting system, and digital camera. He also let's you see the image first before printing.

To top it all off it only cost $9 for 2 photos. Other places charge $12-15 for crappy '70s-esque pics.

I will definitely come back here if I'm ever in need of any of their services.

The name of this business says it all.  $5.00 notaries, which I think is almost impossible to find.  They also have a copy machine, shredders, faxes, passport photos, etc.

The customer service is quick, and not overly friendly, but I can handle that, considering their pricing!

This place offers Notary service as well as shipping service. For the Notary service they are good (though, you can getter better rate just a block further).

However, my experience with their shipping was horrible. I had gone to get a document notarized which was then to be sent internationally. They claimed to have a  discount on Fed-Ex express shipment which would reach in 3 days. However, on tracking the package I saw it was sent by priority which will reach way later (3 days late) than expected and unnecessarily delay my important business. I wish they gave truthful information and I would have made a better shipping arrangement.

Very fast and great bang for the buck.
The best deal prior to this place that I could find (at my work) was $10 per seal...but if you only need one signature per seal, this is the place!
I had gotten my documents notarized at work and was ready to fedex when I realized I left one doc un-notarized.  I came to this place, and didn't have to wait and it only took a couple of minutes.
They were very courteous and FAST!
I like fast because this notary was able to go straight into the notary procedures where other notaries always had a puzzled look on their face as to what to do and trying to understand the doc.
On top of it, the FedEx guy hadn't come yet and saved me a trip to the FedEx center so I was able to get everything resolved quickly.
I'll be sure to come back to this place again in August!
I hope to have the same experience!

One of the cheapest around-- $5 to notarize a document. I wish I knew about this place sooner. It cost me double to do it at UPS store.

Services is fast, professional and has good hours after work as they are open til 7pm. They also do passport photos for $9, have livescan, and have a FedEx drop box.

Convenient hours, open 7 days a week. I found this place after my sister INSISTED on getting a notary for a document regarding our mother's estate.
First off, the location is clean and spacious. Ever walk into a UPS store to get a notary and be bombarded with giant boxes for sale?
Secondly, the staff is attentive and friendly. They will explain every step to you. They do not talk down to you. They show you what you need to do. Especially for the live scan.
Thirdly, they do not gouge you. Their prices are listed in clear view not on some outdated board overhead that doesn't include tax.

Lastly, I didn't yelp last night so I am making up for it the morning. Its serious. If you need a notary these people will help you.

VERY PROFESSIONAL & REASONABLE sums up this business.

$5 notary,  DHL, FedEx Drop off, FingerPrinting service, Legal Document preparation, Wills, Trusts consultation, Paralegal, Power of Attorney and business formation advise.  Long distance phone cards and even Day Spa gift cards are being sold here.  Photocpying is $0.15/sheet.  A 1-Stop Shop.

Location:  Right off Lawrence Expressway north on Arques .
    Hours: 10am-7pm 7 days a week.

Unfortunately, a little understaffed.  Sure the place isn't packed, but to have to wait 20 mins for being the third in line takes away the advantage of convenience.

I needed to get a form motorized and noticed that this place was open on the weekends, located nearby, and cheap (only $5.) The service was fast and professional, I would definitely return the next time I need to get something notarized. They also offer other services including photocopies, passport photos, livescan fingerprinting, FedEx drop box, and are open late (7pm).

Quick and competitively priced notary services. I got a document notorized and I was out the door in less than 5 minutes. They also have a copy machine for 10 cents for a B&W copy. It also makes color copies, but I'm not sure how much.

5 Stars. Yes, as boring as 5 stars can get.

This review is only concerning their advertising of $5 for notary services and concerning the notarizing of a written exam for traffic school:
FALSE ADVERTISING!  They wanted to charge me $5 for notarizing the document and $5 for watching me take the exam = $10 total charge.  I am a notary public myself and unfortunately am not able to notarize my own documents.  As $10 is the standard fee charged for notarizing a document with one person's signature on it... I could easily have gone to anywhere/any notarizing place for the normal $10 charge.  I went to this place because they advertised notarizing for $5.  Since when does a notary charge for proctoring/monitoring an exam?  We notaries notarize a complete document *NOT* based on content.  So whether it is a bill of sale, a letter of authorization, a traffic school final exam, and/or any other type of form, the fee charged is the stated notarizing fee (which is normally $10).  If you advertise a $5 notarization fee then that is what you should charge... not tack on some made up charge so that you can get your $10 fee.

Anyway, luckily I took down the address and number of another place in Sunnyvale... All Service Center on 530 Lawrence Expy.  I called them at 5:55pm on a weekday after the other place tried to get an additional $5 more from me.  The lady said their charge for notarizing a document is $5 TOTAL and if I could get there by 6:15pm (their stated business hour was to 6pm) they would be able to notarize my traffic school document.

So I rushed over there... only a total of a 3 minute drive away.  The total cost was $5... like they claimed... and I was in and out of there (after completing my written exam there) in less than 5 minutes.  So if you want a REAL $5 notarizing place go to the other place (All Service Center on 530 Lawrence Expy).  I am NOT in any way related to either place.  Just writing this because I am annoyed at the place which falsely advertises a $5 notarizing fee only to find out that they will tack on other ridiculous charges to that.

So has anyone else been charged more than $5 for a notary service notarizing one person's signature?  I'll be curious to hear about it.

To the owners of the 1208 E. Arques Ave. shop... maybe the Better Business Bureau would also be interested in my story and others who have paid you an extra charge for some made up service, i.e. "watching a person take a final exam" or something similiar.

You are notaries... I didn't know you also signed up to be a traffic school proctor able to charge $5 for your proctoring service... however you define it...
