Sadly, 4th Street Deli has closed, and closed for good. I walked by this afternoon and it was shut and completely empty. I was able to reach Varouj, the owner, by e-mail, and he confirmed the closing.

Very sad news. It was a great place.

A friend and I ate here before going to the aquarium down the street and lucky us, we made it just in time for the Hispanic Pride Parade! I can't remember exactly what I ordered but it was pretty tasty; hopefully their closing is just a location issue - the folks in the kitchen really seemed to have their act together. I remember my only complaint was that the waitress hovered so much I could have sworn I heard a buzzing sound over the low riders and Ranchera music outside.

It's too bad they closed, they seemed to be a pretty popular local deli.

We need more independent businesses... you should always support them when you have the opportunity.

This is just the sort of place that I'm more than happy to frequent. The service alone deserves five stars.

As other yelpers have mentioned, the owner is incredibly friendly and went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed our visit. Great place for a simple, delicious sandwich and a cold beer for a great price.

My tablemate and I split a veggie wrap and potato salad and found both to be fresh and tasty. They have a nice variety of beers - I sampled a one of the Nicaraguan variety and enjoyed it enough to have another.

The menu is pretty extensive and I'm sure to be back for more. Great little downtown gem.

    GREAT SANDWICHES, GREAT SERVICE!

This place has great delicious sandwiches! My cousin and her friend were in the mood for sandwiches for brunch today so we hit up Yelp to find a place within the area, as we always do when we can't decide on a place to eat (Thanks Yelp!). The top result was none other than:

4th Street Deli in Long Beach, CA

Judging by the 101 reviews and the 4 1/2 stars, I was immediately convinced and had to convince all of them to go.

First of all, the place is conveniently located near the shopping and restaurant area which was a big plus because there was a nearby parking structure that offered free parking for 2 hours. Another plus!

Okay, now moving on to the topic that actually matters: SANDWICHES!

I was immediately greeted to the delicious and mouthwatering smell of toasted bread. We all looked at each other with faces of temptation. Already, we wanted to bite in. The atmosphere was very laid back, like a coffee shop which was equipped with some great tunes!

I ordered the Cali or Roast Beef or Chicken sandwich (I chose chicken). While the others ordered the Tuna Melt Panini and The 4th St Double-Decker cold sandwich, which was a double-decker indeed; it was HUGE! She couldn't even finish the other half.

    How'd mine taste?

MMM MMM GOOD.... The bread was nicely toasted on a french roll. The chicken was perfectly complimented by the bell peppers, red onions, mushrooms, swiss cheese, and balsamic vinegar. Overall, the combination created a nice savory bite. I ordered the combo so it came with a bag of Kettle Brand chips and a 16 oz drink! In total, I spent less than 12 dollars for a meal that was fulfilling and very much enjoyable.

We waited a little while for our orders, but once we took a bite of our sandwiches, we knew instantly why. These sandwiches are carefully crafted to perfection to ensure your taste buds are geared and ready for a flavorful and tasty ride.

Throughout our meal, the owner, who's name I forgot to catch (My apologies), came by to check in on us and was completely welcoming and genuinely friendly. He made us feel right at home. The staff was completely pleasant and accommodating to us. THIS IS TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE :]

Overall, this place is home to some really great delicious sandwiches at really great prices. Trust me, you'll be satisfied. And, they don't just sell sandwiches, they sell soups, salads, flat bread pizzas, wraps, and get this....smoothies! Also, they just added breakfast to their menu. Needless to say, I think I've found THE place for a quick bite.

4th Street Deli is the place to go for sandwiches, lunch, breakfast, superior service, or what have you. This is definitely a place that I will be going to very often.

Thank You 4th Street Deli for the great experience
Hope to come in real soon.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the owner loves Yelpers!

Tried to eat here yesterday and arrived just as the owner was moving all his stuff OUT. THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED. So sad, really one of the last great places to eat in Long Beach. I'm so sorry to see you go, and hope to run into you soon.

You will be truly missed. The first time I came here I remember taking one bite into the salad and exclaiming. 'This is SO good, I want to move across the street just to be closer to this cafe'. Everyone here was so kind and genuine, the owner came out to talk to us each time and with such detail and passion about the food and the recipes. Total 5 star quality.

Hope to see you guys soon, we need a place like yours around.

I work in DT long beach on Pine and Ocean. This deli isn't exactly a quick walk on your lunch break, but it is definitely worth it if you've got the time.

Jennifer (and I'm not being biased because we have the same name :P) was especially nice and made sure our food was to our liking, meanwhile juggling other more demanding customers in the deli.

On the day that I went there with my two friends, they had a new girl behind the register and it was her first day. I can only imagine the pressure she felt during that lunch hour rush with all of those custom sandwich orders - so I really didn't mind the wait. She was a nice girl who smiled and apologized for the wait.

I had a half of a tuna melt panini paired with a Caesar's salad side and it was delicious! They also had a neat selection of cream sodas to choose from, some which I had never seen, so I tried the Cherries and Cream (Stewart's). Yum!

The BF recommended this place one day for brunch, cuz he's a big fan of their omelets. He ordered the Spaniard omelet. I've never had an omelet on flatbread before, but it was a nice combination of flavors and textures.  I ordered the Chicken Pesto Avo panini. It was delish.

We sat outside and the weather in LB was nice and sunny. The place is really chill and the food was great. The owner was extremely nice and seemed to really care about his customers.

    Would definitely come here again.

Thanx to my fellow Yelpers I found this little spot.  Being a truck driver in the harbor, I haven't had the opportunity to come by here because of the parking, but this morning I cruised by just after they opened at 730am and since all the spots in front were empty, I had room to park.

I knew I wanted a cold sandwich...  and the double decker sounded great!  When I got back to the office and opened this bad boy, I was quite impressed...  this is how I would make a sandwich for myself!

After looking over their take out menu, I may have to make a trip over on my motorcycle after work one day to give one of those flatbread pizzas a try.  Bonus, they have a decent beer selection, too...

Support this place!  It is so refreshing to see people so passionate about their food and business.  The food is fresh and homemade.  I got the tuna melt panini with the homemade albacore tuna salad...delicious!  Our group also got the chicken caesar salad wrap, the caprese panini and the Mediterranean panini.  All of them were amazing!  I will be coming back here next time I am in Long Beach for sure!

What can I say, I'm a product of the "Mom & Pop" and it's practically in my DNA to seek out local gems instead of patronizing conglomerations and chains. I was working (100.3 The Sound) an event at the Long Beach Pike this past Saturday and we needed to feed about 60 staff and clients. Luckily, the day before I hopped on Yelp and searched "Sandwich Shops, highest rated, long beach" and 4th St. was first up!

Varouj was SO warm and friendly and went out of his way to accommodate our catering order. Did I mention he can make one hell of a Pesto Roast Beef!? SOO good.

Catering was super easy, sandwiches were labeled and a bargain to boot! Definitely recommending this one.

I was walking down Pine Ave. with the thought in my mind to eat at a specific cafe, which I will not name.  However, came across 4th St. Deli, and remembered I had it bookmarked, so decided to give it a shot.  The lady at the register was super friendly.  I mean like Southern hospitality friendly, which is probably why I decided to order something.

Got the half sandwich and salad combo with a French dip and Caesar salad.  My hubs ordered the half pastrami and cup of chili.  The nice lady asked if we wanted pickles and hot peppers on the side, which we replied "oh yes!".  Very thoughtful of her, though not sure if that was an extra charge, but oh well!

It's pretty tiny inside, but hey it's a neighborhood deli.  About 4 tables inside and 3 outside on the sidewalk.  They got a fair amount of to-go orders and dine-in while we were there on a Wednesday lunch.

So, our food is good, but not great.  The pastrami sandwich was probably the best followed by the chili.  What was kind of odd, was that I was still a bit hungry after my meal.  Kind of felt they could've had more meat in my French dip.  But, nonetheless, I enjoyed the friendly service, and the pastrami sandwich is pretty good, a solid 3.5 stars, so will be back to try more off the menu.

I like this place. I've only been there once and I had a good experience. I think the guy who took our orders is the owner. Either way, he was super nice! There's one cook in the back and the owner takes care of everything in the front. There was a line of about 8 people and he literally took orders, rang people up, delivered your food, and picked up empty dishes at once! Now that's "above and beyond".

I ordered their meatball sub and my friend had their salami flatbread. I thought it was delicious. Especially, their red sauce! Yum.

Also...they have organic Sweet Leaf Tea! I am totally a huge fan of that tea company. Mint & Honey... /droolz

We're definitely coming back for lunch.

You could miss this place if you blink but please don't! It's pretty fantastic.

I visited here for the first time this weekend and ordered the chicken pesto avo panini. Because they were about to close, I got it to go and realized when I got home that there wasn't any avocado on the sandwich. Bummer, but after my first bite I was convinced that I wasn't missing out. The pesto and sun-dried tomatoes provided great flavor -- this sandwich is a winner! My friend ordered the roast beef and bleu cheese panini which was also a hit.

I will definitely be back to try more of the menu! The creme brulee gelato was calling my name :)

Finally made it out to 4th St Deli today with the lunch crew. Initially I had my reservations as I'm thinking, it's downtown and parking is going to be a bitch. I also thought it would be busy especially during lunch hour. Was wrong on both accounts.

Pulled up and there's parking on both sides of the street - paid of course but it's meters so it's not like we're paying a minimum for a garage or valet. There's also no one in the deli so not only do we get premium seating, we get first rate service.

The staff was uber cool. Helpful with their suggestions and friendly as well. The dining area isn't great for groups but we moved a few tables around as we were the only ones there - we beat the crowd - when we left, there wasn't an empty table indoors. There's some outdoor seating on the sidewalk.

The food was great. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Cavo with melted butter on top. Flavorful and affordable as a combo with a drink and chips came out to only $11. The other guys all ordered spaghetti with meatballs and judging how every plate was licked clean - they enjoyed their meals and I plan on trying that next time I'm there.

It's funny that 4th St. Deli is my first review on Yelp because I believe I may have been one of the first customers that tried this place a few years back. Let me just say that from the first dining experience I had at 4th St. I was hooked.

To start with we'll discuss the food. Now I'm a pretty simple guy with pretty simple tastes. I tend to stick with the same choices. I've never needed to buy the variety pack. If I'm in the cereal isle at the grocery it's usually either Cheerios or if I"m feeling slightly more daring, perhaps Honey Bunches of Oats. At 4th St. I stick with a solid rotation between the Turkey and Provolone, Ham and Swiss and my personal favorite, The Chicken Caprese. All are top notch with the latter sandwich probably being my favorite in all of Long Beach. To sum the food up in only one word is quite easy: delicious.

Of course while the food is very, very good at 4th St. what really sets this joint apart is the customer service. The owner Varouj is a guy who in my humble opinion, just gets it. He takes the approach that every new guest's experience may not just be a one shot deal but rather the first of a lifetime of visits. He's incredibly friendly, he remembers your name and he seems to instill the same positive and friendly attitude in all of his employees. The guy is just pure win.

If you are in the area you owe it to yourself to give this place a try. A true treasure of downtown Long Beach.

Varouj, the most friendliest deli owner ever!!

I'm so sorry for my delay...  I came on Saturday, February 5th (right after the Downtown Walking Group Meeting) for lunch. Awesome service!!  Varouj and Jenny (server) really took good care of me that day.  I was starving from my walk that day that all I wanted was meat.  So many choices. I loved that Jenny had asked what I was craving and made suggestions.  I ordered the Hot Pastrami on French Baguette with pickles and pepperonici on the side along with a cup of Minestrone soup.

OMG!  I so fell in love when Varouj served me personally.  The dish was so beautiful that I was simply afraid to touch it. I also was so hungry that I quickly took a bite of the Pastrami sandwich.  The baguette was lightly toasted and doughy at the same time ...ohh... (so mouth-watering goodness) and the crunchiness of it was so delightful to my ears.  There was a right amount of mustard to tease my taste buds. Oh, pastrami... how I love thee... as my sandwich was very MEATY ~ just the way I LOVE it!!!

The warm Minestrone made my tummy smile.  It was delicious!  I loved every single ingredient used in that soup. YUM!  Their baklava is to die for!!  You MUST try it!  It isn't too flaky as some may turn out at other places.  The prices are reasonable and the food is excellent.

Just one bite makes this Deli #1 in my book of favorites.  Come by and try 4th Street Deli.

I decided to get what I pretty much always get when I try a new deli: pastrami. Coincidentally, it was also the sandwich the SUPER friendly owner said he was going to suggest after he realized from my staring at the menu for a couple minutes that I was new.

To start off, I will say that the sandwich is not cheap. It's far from expensive, but don't expect a bargain. That said, it was at least good enough to come back on occasion. The cheese on the pastrami (I'm pretty sure it was Swiss) was nicely melted and very tasty; it was a good meat/cheese ratio. The meat itself was also quite good, but there was just something about it that kept me from saying "wow, absolutely delicious." I'm not sure what it was, but I think it was just that it didn't stand out as being above and beyond in any way. The roll had a good crunch as a well prepared roll should. The only real complaint I had about the sandwich was that I had a extra glob of mustard on one end of my sandwich. I'm sure it was inadvertent and isn't always there, but it did make that end of the sandwich far too mustardy (yes, I'm making up words). Overall, I'd give the sandwich a solid 3.

They do get 4, however, for the SUPER friendly owner. Like, seriously, the guy was just above and beyond friendly. I mean, I was sitting right by the soda dispenser to the point where I didn't even have to get out of my seat to refill my soda, but he nonetheless came by and asked if I'd like him to refill my soda for me. I declined because, well, I'm not that big of a lazy arse, but still, it's the thought that counts.

One of the best Deli's in Long Beach.  Food is ALWAYS good, you'd be surprised by how good the meatball sandwiches are...the sauce is really amazing, and their turkey and avocado is excellent. The owner of the Deli is extremely nice and has put his soul into the Deli.  It is worth trying....

Sorry to be the downer, but I feel that all the 5-star reviews on here are definitely too high.  Tried it out based on the great reviews, but I gotta say.. its just "OK".

The service was fantastic, and the real plates and glasses are a huge plus.

The owner is VERY friendly and gives the place a great local vibe.

IF the food had been served by a grumpy guy in a paper bag, it would be a once star place, but based on the excellent service and real dining plates I give it an extra star.

    The food:
The food is out of date and unimaginative.  My roast beef sandwich was served on plain sliced bread, and the toppings and dressings were pedestrian.

If the food was brought up to date, I would be eating there everyday.  As it is now, its a once a month kind of place.

What can I say about this restaurant that hasn't already been said? This place is absolutely phenomenal. I would recommend this place for ANY food craving and ANY meal time. We found the restaurant on Yelp, of course, and having palates for a good sandwich, we had to try.
We started off with hummus and pita. She is the hummus fan but I still enjoyed it very much, at least more than I ever have enjoyed hummus.
I had the 4th st. double decker sandwich (a several layer meat sandwich). It was absolutely delicious: great sourdough bread, meat, cheese and sides. For being a man as big as myself, that sandwich filled me up nicely too. Everything is served on glass plates and actual silverware. You can also ask for your food to go as well.
She had the turkey avo (Turkey and avocado as the name suggests). Although quite simple, I tried it and it was amazing. The bread was the best wheat bread I've ever had.
We also had dessert. We had some gelato and an absolutely delicious pastry.
The service was absolutely spectacular. The owner was delightful. He MADE this visit amazing.

Once again a great little find by my fellow yelpers!

The parking meter tips was awesome! Thank you!

The service was great and very friendly.   Everything tasted great I got the pastrami and chicken noodle.  It was a chilly day.

They service Diedrick coffee and mightyleaf tea!

They also offer an array of drinks/smoothies, flat breads and wraps, and a small but good selection of desserts.

I loved it here it made me miss New York a lot.  You just don't find delis like these in Socal.

Oh how I wish I knew about this place before today, I have been seriously missing out.  YUM!

I tried The Italian, which had amazingly great quality meat and fresh bread.  I had a side salad with my sandwich and for a side salad it was huge, fresh, and awesome.

I plan on going back for the hot pastrami.

They bake their choc chip cookies fresh, but the best is that the owner's Mom makes the Baklava.  Ummm, I wish I had never tasted it, since it was too good, and I am afraid that it will become an obsessive craving, oh no.

You'd be crazy not to try out this gem. I don't care if you think you have the best little hole-in-the-wall sandwich place, you will be shocked/amazed/delighted. This place is the tits!

Varouj, the owner, is as passionate about his food as anyone could hope. Plus all the inspiring sayings on the wall confirm that he and I have very much the same "La vita é bella" philosophy. Both times I've gone in, I've had fantastic conversations with him or other members of the staff-- you definitely feel like part of the family.

And the sandwiches are to die for. So simple, but beautifully crafted. Order any of their desserts (Varouj recommended I just attack the Napoleon with my hands-- I obliged) and wash it down with a beer from their great selection.

    (all factors listed)= HEAVEN.

My first visit to 4th St Deli after seeing great reviews on Yelp.
First, the people at 4th are very friendly! (which is important to me)
I had the Pastrami and it was the BEST Pastrami sandwich ever (5 stars)
(I am a onion lover, however I suggest you ask for light onions on the Pastrami.)
I also had their chili (4 stars) and their coleslaw(3.5 stars).  I suggest you go with a potato salad or side salad instead.
I made my order to-go, and Jenny (girl at the counter) forgot to include my jalapenoes and pepperchini on the side.
Overall, you gotta try their Pastrami.
I will be going back for a different sub next time.

My boyfriend drove around LB for lunch. I decided to pop out the yelp app on my phone and BAM! this place came up.

We parked at the meter right in front. It's only 24 min max (bring 1 quarter, 1 dime, and 1 nickel= 24 mins)

Went it and order a hot pastrami and like everyone mentioned, along with a side of macaroni salad & the orange n' cream soda. Ask for two cups. If you fill them up almost to the top with ice, it should give you two cups for two people.

They have soda available, and a variety of soda bottles, energy drinks, teas, and chips awaiting on the left side. The glass display had delicious pastries. My eyes were getting bigger than my stomach.

The sandwich was great. The meat was packed inside with the perfect amount of mustard and pickles. The bread was fantastic. I loved how it was super toasty and fresh!

However, my boyfriend suggested there could be an option of a softer bread. I wish the sandwich was bigger. It was about $7 for it. I assume the price comes from the tasty and large amounts of meat.

The macaroni salad was really good. I want to try the potato one next time.

The owner was super nice. He saw I was taking some pictures of the front  for a review on yelp. He was really happy that we found him on yelp and that we came in to try the place out.

He gave us a complimentary Baklava cake (made by his mom) cut in half. Oh my goodness was it delicious!! I loved the flaky top of the cake, and sweet bottom crust. I would've never known there were nuts inside. I usually don't care of nuts, but they were so fine that I would've never known if i didn't look. I want to come back for another 10!! They were so good!!!

Big props to the owner of 4th St Deli for responding promptly to my negative review.  He did everything in his power to make the situation right.  Thank you for responding and thank you for making those delicious, delicious sandwhiches (and delivering them promptly)

I went there with low expectations and was surprised by the quality of their food. I went there with my brother - I ordered the spaghetti with chili because I was curious about their chili base on the description from the menu, it sounded great and it was great! not too heavy but lots of favor. My brother order two paninis (both has his seal of approval!). We were also surprise the owner Varouji(who was really friendly) took our order.

There is something for everybody there from beers to delicious teas.

I wish this place was closer to the belmont area rather than downtown on pine, because the mom and pop friendly vibe is very welcoming. The sandwiches are fresh and good. I had a large club sandwich with a side salad (freshly made) and a drink for 7.99. The menu wasnt huge but it looked like they had some good choices.

They also have 5 star ranch dressing.

I met Varouj about a week ago at a Downtown LB planning meeting, and decided to check out his place one day after work.
This is my kind of place: not a chain restaurant, locally owned, no frills with a good vibe.
I decided to go with the 4th street double decker, and the employee behind the counter validated my choice by saying that was his favorite sandwich here.  I should have ordered in, but I decided to get it to go.
After adding a little mustard to my double decker sandwich, I took a bite and my hunger started to subside.  The roast beef had an excellent flavor, and the mix of the other meats really added to the sandwich.
Next time I come back I'm gonna try another one of these delectable sandwiches, and actually eat in this time because Varouj is such a warm and friendly guy.  Thanks much Varouj-keep doing what you're doing!

Love that you're in my hood and you're not a chain. I've only been once so far but i enjoyed my first visit. The owner is a nice guy too, which is always makes the neighborhood experience that much better.

I'm glad to see the sandwich came with a pickle. Such an important and often overlooked part of the sandwich experience. Sandwich was fresh and tasty. Ingredients seem quality, although i have a love affair with Boar's Head but what you guys have seems to be up in the mix.

My only knock would be that there isn't a lot of creativity in the menu. Perhaps some signature sandwiches, similar to what Olives will do with their sandwich bar. A california club type sandwich would be key, with turkey, avocado and bacon. A staple for sure.

I might upgrade to a 5 star after a few more visits...but for now i'm comfy giving 4 stars.

So this was a place i sauntered into accidentally. I had Jury Duty at the Long Beach Courthouse and since the deli inside wasn't taking any form other than cash, i had to find an ATM stat. So driving along the closest major street i screeched to a halt at the first wells machine and parked - and by this time i was just ravenous that I went to the closest eatery available that didnt look sketch - so i went on in. Looking over the available menu, they had a variety of delish looking salads and homemade-style sandwiches. I asked the friendly cute gal (Laura) working between a Chicken Caprese Panini and a Chicken Marinara Sandwich, so i decided to get the latter. I would say that the quality was superb (with provolone), and was light - not the grease-laden ones of chains like corner bakery.

Knowing that i hardly ever go to LB, I probably won't be frequenting this deli, but will definitely make a note of it next time I get called in for JD in LB.

After having today's falafal special, I am reminded  as why to why 4th Street Deli is my favorite lunch spot.  Everything about the wrap was incredible.  It had HUGE chunks of falafal, the tahini sauce and hummus inside were just enough to add amazing flavor but not too much to make the sandwich soggy and all of the vegetables were super fresh, which is hard to find these days.

I love the fact that 4th Street changes up the menu to add innovative daily specials but also keeps their original sandwiches there in case customers are not feeling adventurous that day.

Hands down, the best lunch I have had since...well, I went to 4th Street last.  Well done!

I was really excited when 4th St. Deli took over Quizno's old spot (I'd rather have an independently owned place over a chain any day)

The service is excellent. Very friendly!

If you decide to stay and have your lunch there, they bring it to you on nice plates that are NOT disposable (yay for saving the planet!) You can leave it on the table when you're done, but they seem to really appreciate it when I bring it up to the counter.

Seating is a bit limited, a couples tables inside and two outside. I definitely recommend sitting outside on a fair-weather day! Most customers seem to be locals who are there to pick up a quick bite and head back to whatever they're up to.

A few quick comments on the delicious food:

Try the balsamic vinaigrette dressing, AMAZING.
My favorite sandwich is the Chicken Caprese (chicken, tomato, basil, cheese) YUM :D

I'm looking forward to going back!

Fresh ingredients, DEE-lish homemade balsamic dressing and a super friendly owner = my kinda sandwich shop! I had the BLT and the boy had the albacore tuna salad sandwich. Both were super yum and the extra pickles and peppers were an added bonus. The owner even fed our parking meter so we could enjoy lunch undisturbed. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Now if I can just get him to open a place in the Shore. :-)

AMAZING. Amazing quality of produce, meats, cheese, and bread! I'm eating The Italian right now and yum, it's so fresh. The lettuce is so crisp, the bread is soft (and made from a local bakery!) , and the meats taste amazing.

I also decided to buy a Strawberry Walnut Salad from this establishment for dinner so I will update how that was when I eat it. It -looks- beautiful though.

Wasn't impressed with the salad, maybe it's because the salad dressing was...completely hard by the time I ate it. Is that normal for basalmic dressing?

The goat cheese and strawberry pieces were pretty great though! Yum. They still keep the 5 stars!

    Sleepy section of Pine Ave.

The two dewds working there were really nice.  The other patrons in the spot were classic drama/drug/pseudo homeless folks.  Sweet.  Jerry!  Jerry!  Jerry!

The hot turkey sammie is super tasty.  Give yourself some time because the oven works really slowly.

Don't half step.  Worth giving a shot.

Nice local deli with fresh quality ingredients at a descent price.  The sandwiches are good without being fancy.  You'll walk away full enough without feeling gross.  If the place were dirty and the guy behind the counter an asshole, I might think this place was in New York.  On the contrary, the customer service was almost too good and the small location was very tidy.  That's how I knew I was still in California.  There is a huge framed photo of the Queen Mary 2 docking in the harbor in Long Beach with boats greeting her arrival in the kitchen area.  Loved it.

I overheard the owner telling another customer that he would be getting his beer and wine license in the next couple of weeks.  Here's to having a beer with my meatball sandwich.
