I just have to add my voice to the chorus. This place is amazing. I've grown up with "family fun" type places that wish they were the Family Fun Park, but this is what one should be.
On vacation the husband and I just stumbled upon this place and did everything you would want to do: go karts, golf, and video games. It was a really fun time, very quiet in the afternoon on a weekday, so we felt like we almost had the place to ourselves. The guy running the go karts was super helpful, making sure that our karts were adjusted to be able to go really fast.
Have never had such fun on go karts before. What a great day. -

My daughter went on a field trip here during the school year so I wanted to check out how this place was. For us coming from Plumas Lake, it was about a 30 minute drive up to Grass Valley. I was surprised to see that on a Saturday afternoon the place wasn't packed with a million kids so we were able to freely play miniature golf, ride some go-carts, and play some video games.
What I really liked about this place was the fact that kids are able to ride their own go-cart without and adult being in the same car. There are about 15 cars ready to sit and drive. You are given a 5 minute time to drive around. The place was clean, it didnt have that dirty look and feel like Scandia does to me. I liked the miniature golf setup and how it had that gold mining equipment and waterfall mix into the course. There is a batting cage for fast and slow pitch for roughly 6 people at the same time. The arcade was ok, some of the machines were not working. Too bad they didnt have a larger arcade area, that would have pushed me to rating this a five-star. The staff was friendly and attentive, prices were good.
If you want a place thats away from the busy city hustle, good for kids, and fair prices...49er Fun Park is your place. Plenty of restaurants nearby to go eat afterwards...check it out. -

Big fun at 49er fun park- We love swinging by to ride the go-karts! the friendly, family owned atmosphere is perfect for our small town!

Kids 12 and under love this place. It is not for adults. These are the only outdoor batting cages in town. Likewise the go-cart track. The fact that there are better places elsewhere in California means nothing to a kid. We are not elsewhere, we are here.

Okay, this may not be the best arcade ever, but it is totally acceptable, and there are pleanty of choices. I'll take the kids here any day of the week over Scandia. Awesome for the younger crowd. And, the only place that we've ever been where the younger kids can drive their own go karts. A BIG plus! The smaller carts don't go as fast, but plenty fast for a lot of fun for anyone 7(we went with a smallish 7 and 12 year old and they both had a blast) or older.

I think this place is big fun - my 7 year old son can ride the go-carts. They have the batting cages and the minature golf is great. Simple, true - and that is kind of what is nice about it.
And the most important aspect of it? My children (11, 8 & 3) love it!!
