I loved this place! I was recently visiting Guadalupe River State Park and asked the staff for a lunch recommendation. I'm so glad I did. The pizza here is as good or better than Home Slice in Austin. I got a cheese slice (only $1.75). It was medium sized, not huge, and the crust was feather light but very crunchy, melting in my mouth. Perfect!
Both times i've been here the staff was super friendly and nice, smiling and engaging me. The house salad is good and there is a soda fountain to refill your own drink. I've also had the cheese bread which is very large for the "small". It's basically a whole hoagie roll cut up and melted with cheese and garlic.
One of the only bad points were the black olives in the salads, strangely enough. Both times they were hard and tasteless. Why not just buy cans of them? Canned black olives are always moist and fine. Also, the first time I visited, they let me eat my salad before bringing out my pizza, which I appreciated. The second time, however, they brought both together and my pizza got cold. Unfortunately, when the crust gets cold it turns chewy and boring. Same for the cheese bread, don't let it get cold!
Try it, you'll like it! It's a gem. -

Much better than others in the area. If you're from New York, well, it's not New York, but would you expect that in the Hill Country?
Updated 2/2012: Avoid the Calzone. Apparently it means take a large pizza dough, fill it with stuff, fold in half, bake and serve with a lame tomato sauce. Frankly, EZ's does a much better Calzone. -

My family and I go here every Friday for our weekly dinner...we LOVE it! The pizza is fabulous...as good as NYC in my opinion. We see the same people there week after week. Repeat customers...need I say more?

I've been eating here since it opened and 3 stars is about how i feel everytime. Comfy, decent food, good price....It really is a nice place to eat just not great. They have very good sub sandwichees and are very generous with the meat and cheese. The pizza is OK but for a little more money you can go to "perfect slice" and get better pizza.
