Checked them out because I was looking for New York style pizza. Their prices were high compared to other pizza places but decided to try them out and see if they were the pizza place I was looking for. Picked it up and was looking forward to try it. I took my first bite and the first thing I noticed/felt was how chewy it was. I'm not sure if the bottom was not cooked all the way but, I spent more time chewing the dough below the toppings than the pizza itself. I manage to eat 3 slices and my jaws were sore.
Another pizza disappointment. At least, I gave it a try but never again! If you want to chew more than eat the pizza, this is for you. I felt like I was chewing gum.
Pros-Friendly staff
Cons-high priced, very chewy (gum) like dough and crust.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gary A.San Antonio, TX41171Oct 3, 2022
This place is closed down but says open. Wasted my wife's time going there to order food

I have been meaning to try this pizza place for some time and finally got around to it. Bottom line: pizza is a solid 8.1 (Barstool pizza scale).
The restaurant is located right on Pat Booker Rd. so very hard to miss the big green sign. I called in an order and was told it would be 20min. On a Friday night it was pretty dead inside, and my pizza was ready when I showed up.
I ordered the Margherita pizza and was not disappointed. It came out piping hot and has a generous amount of tomatoes/slivers of basil. The first slice I bit into has a great strong marinara tang taste. The second and third and fourth did as well... Each bite was consistently good. The crust was not floppy at all and was very crunchy. I will say that it was a little bit on the greasy side for my liking, but not drenched in grease like chain pizza places.
A delicious pizza and one I wouldn't mind ordering again. I wouldn't say it's New York style pizza, but it's definitely a tasty pie for pizza-lovers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ed K.San Antonio, TX05Feb 19, 2022
Be careful when ordering. Printed menu is new but doesn't reflect actual prices. If you order a pasta dish, menu tells you very clearly that the dish comes with a side of PASTA! However if you order a side of Rigatoni or Linguini you'll be charged an additional $3.50! And you thought Rigatoni and Linguini were pasta. Surprise. A number of other dishes are more expensive than what is in the menu. Apparently they raised their prices after printing the new menu. Tried to talk to the owner but told he didn't speak or understand English! Good country America!
Food is good though but more expensive, in some cases, compared to what they want to advertise. Be careful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - CLAIRE K.Honolulu, HI9091196May 25, 2020
Pizza was very good. I have lived near the establishment for sometime but never really tried as we usually go to the big chain pizza places. We ordered the all meats that had plenty of meat, the wings, garlic bread, and some other items I posted photos of. I didn't give it 5 starts because the prices were higher then what I'm used to but I think it was definitely worth the price. We will return again.

Undoubtedly the best pizza that I e had thus far in San Antonio. If you are a traditional NY style pizza lover, definitely come here. We've been here a few times, typically order their White Pizza, it's amazing! Not too greasy, perfect crust, among the best white pies I've had. Great prices, friendly staff, clean restaurant - will continue coming back here as long as we are stationed here.

So, just ordered two small pies: 1 cheese w/ extra cheese, and 1 white w/ ground beef, and 2 drinks. The gent at the counter told me it was $31, and I almost choked. Not sure what's up with that, but there is no dough, sauce, cheese and tea that is worth $31. The pizza is good, but get real guys, or you will certainly lose my business.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 7, 2018Previous reviewUndoubtedly the best pizza that I e had thus far in San Antonio. Per their Facebook page the UC location is temporarily closed. Great food and pizza. Can't wait to support them when they reopen.

I have had multiple visits to this shrine of NY Style pizza since my initial review. Still a 5! It's a legit NY style pizza. It's actually better than a couple pizza places I visited in New York a couple years back. They're always consistent, everything made to order, and OH SO GOOD!
I highly recommend the 46th Street Special pizza, but be sure to ask them to hold the anchovies if you aren't partial to them. All pizzas i saw prepared today were HAND TOSSED! Don't see that from a chain.
Sammiches are great, too! Can't go wrong with any choice you make.
If ordering to go, get yourself a glass of wine while you wait. Today was busy, so that's what I did to pass the time waiting on my to go order.
If you're hangry for pizza, recommend you stop by 46th Street. You won't regret it! You'll thank me later.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 11, 2017Previous reviewWell, I've driven past this location numerous times, but have never stopped in. That has now changed.
Extensive menu options, and many choices of specialty pizzas, sandwiches, pastas, etc. to chose from.
My first experience was their signature pizza: The 46th Street Pizza. It's not common to have anchovies available, but if you don't like them, they will hold them off, or if you're daring, ask for them on the side, and add them yourself if you want to try them out.
This pizza (sans anchovy) was absolutely delicious. Lots of toppings (see their menu for more info on that!), with a very nice thin NY style crust that was hand tossed. You can see the whole process while you're waiting, Crispier than other NY Styles I've tried in this area, but I have to say it's authentic. Yeah, I've been to NYC, and it is on par!
The lunch special offers only slices of cheese or pepperoni, with less amount of cheese than I'd would like, but the taste delivers.
A friend of mine commented that the Pat Booker Rd restaurants are so much better than those in the Medical Center area in NW SA. I agree, and 46th Street didn't disappoint! Much better than any national chain, and you gotta support your local chains! Recommended. - Zombie O.San Antonio, TX3113Jul 6, 2020
Never had their pizza and I was pleasantly impressed. If you haven't tried them, I would advise giving tho a try. I'm full and sleepy. Wife is happy because she doesn't have to cook.
Another shout out to Doordash for getting it here fast. One thing, talk to your girl Haylee and remind her to wear a mask when delivering.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
