We went to 43 North for my work Christmas party, and it was my first time at 43 North since the switch in ownership & menu.  We had a great luncheon and I really liked the improvements in the restaurant.

The atmosphere is more inviting, and the menu selection is very rounded.

I ordered the spinach salad with warm beer bacon/apple dressing. It had turkey, gorgonzola and toasted almonds.  The portion was nice, not too much dressing or too much of the toppings, it was very good and I ate every last bite! The pot pie sounded delish!

Since it was a special occasion, the table ordered desserts and we all sampled.  I had the bourbon pecan pie, while others tried the creme brulee, and carrot cake.  A couple other options sounded really yummy too.  Not OMG AMAZING desserts, but still very tasty.

I'm not so sure I would come for dinner, unless I was ordering from the $9- $15 range.  $28 main entrees aren't my thing. But what a fabulous lunch spot!

Tell me it isn't so. On 'Tini Tuesday, my first Bombay Blue Sapphire, no Vermouth, on the rocks, tasted weak and watery. "Duh," you say, "What'd you expect when you ordered on-the-rocks?" Well, I've never had one taste that weak. So, second martini, still dry, but up. Alas, still no "kick." Please tell me they don't cheat at 43 North.
Burgers were so-so, fries were so-so, and spinach salad wasn't "warm" and was also, yep, so-so.
Great ambiance either summer or winter, but really disappointing food.
Wish they could get it together, 'cause I'm only 2 blocks from the place, and I'd spend a lot of time there.

This place has changed management as of late. The new food menu is amazing. I had lobster and scallops biscuits and gravy and my buddy had thee ribeye steak.  Food and service was top notch.

Nestled at the base of Snow King, 43 North is a great outdoor patio casual upscale dining spot.  My husband took me and his parents there for part of my culinary birthday tour.  The view was spectacular, the service was very friendly, just a tad slow (still nice, though!), but it was a nice warm summer night, and we had wine, so we minded not.  The wine list is quite impressive, and we found a nice bottle for a reasonable restaurant price.

I had the special appetizer, chili-rubbed seared raw tuna with guacamole and crisp won-ton shells.  Nicely cooked, great flavors.  My husband had the tomato basil soup, which may have well been picked right from a local garden, to die for!  My mother-in-law and I both had the scallops with lobster biscuits & gravy - do not pass this one up!!!  It was creative and beautiful presented, and most importantly, delicious!  I couldn't finish the entree, (rare for me!), it was generous, but so well cooked you didn't have to overeat.  My husband had the muscovy duck, also cooked well and tasty.  My father-in-law had a steak and fries, and he loved it, as well.

I might suggest skipping dessert - but take this with a grain of salt.  I'm not a dessert person.  My in-laws and I shared the white chocolate bread pudding, and it was merely okay.  My husband had the Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie, and he ate it all, even though he said it wasn't as good as mine.  All in all, this is a good solid restaurant, great ambiance, creative and delicious food.  Try it!

I have live in Jackson almost a year but just discovered this place. It has a real classic looking and well- stocked FULL bar with fresh and fun mixed cocktails (not easy to find in JH) . The food is great! We ordered the artichoke and lobster dip and it was like no other along with some creatively prepared salads. I was torn with what to order, as all of it looked interesting. I also like the variety of available price points on the menu, so you can order a $9 dish or $26 dish, depending on the budget and the mood. They pretty much treat you like royalty and the bartenders are cute and social. I consider it my neighborhood bar /restuarant and really like it there.

We can't really recommend this restaurant. Our office had a dinner party here and the staff seemed aloof and really full of themselves like they think they are the best in the world or something.

The food was just okay and over-priced. We would not return here by choice unfortunately.

Appetizers were great, enters ok and service was ok. Great location at the end of Cache in Jackson. Sitting outside on a beautiful evening made up for mediocre entrees.

I've lived next to this place for two years and I cringe when people want to go there. The feng shui of the place is all wrong. First off they're located in a residential area, which caused their nice roof top seating to become closed during most of the working hours due to noise violations. You walk in the front door and you're walking in between the "stage/ live act" and the restaurant, which makes for an awkward entrance to say the least. The bar is in the worst location of the restaurant, so when you're standing and having a drink your ass is in some persons face (hopefully you're not the person sitting.) The only place at the whole bar you can really order without sitting on a stool is in the entrance of the bathroom/ bartender entrance. No matter what you do, you're always in someone's way. Which is unnecessary because the place is freaking HUGE !!
"he's not even reviewing the food." you say?
I've never stuck around long enough to have more than chicken wings.

43 North is definately the local scene for the 20-30 crowd in Jackson.  It's right at the base of the Snow King resort, and you'd never expect it from the outside, but there's a big indoor space, big dark wood bar with a good selection of everything (even some good scotch, which I'll get to later), fireplace, and a space in front where they have live music regularly.  This place packs up, and it's a fine looking crowd.  Lots of cute locals and semi-locals (all the out-of-towners who live there for the ski season to work at the resorts) I wish I'd had a better chance to meet!
Booze prices are average, but the scotch is a great deal - they've got Scapa, which is a tasty Island malt, which I think was only $8, and was a full double-pour each time.  Awesome!  Thanks, cute bartender girl!
(Random sidenote: it seems like all the girls in Jackson are only about 5 feet high.  Is there some weird shortness gene running rampant here or what?)
Anyway, we had a great time.  It also looks like they can open up one whole wall of the place in the summer to be indoor/outdoor.

This is a fine place to go, if you are kicking back at the snow king. Great atmosphere, like most of Jackson.

Apparently this used to be more of a local hangout/bar, but when we went, I would describe it more as upscale/casual dining.  It was one of the better places we ate on a recent visit to Jackson.  The scallops and lobster biscuits and gravy was fantastic, as was the fried wontons with coca cola hoisin sauce.  The chef/owner came to our table and was very personable.  I would definitely come back here again!
