A fantastic venue that is easy to find, great and friendly staff (ask for Brad about renting out the space for events like wedding receptions, fashion shows, networking events, meet and greets, etc.) and ample street and lot parking. I like the interior decor and open feeling of the skylights, etc. Highly recommend this place, as I have used this place for several Catalyst events (http://www.seattlecata...)!

Came here for the ADDY Awards.
This is small little venue in South Lake Union. NOT Westlake Seattle as a lot of people might get confused with. There's a lot of wood and concrete structure in the ambiance. I imagine this place is more suited for a wedding reception or small business conference than anything else. Maybe it'd be good for a homecoming dance.
Would I book it for any of my events? Only if I was looking for something some conservative and kosher. -

My fiance and I viewed the space at 415 Westlake and thought it would be perfect for our combined ceremony and reception. However, the management was adamant that we could not hold a ceremony there and insisted that their policy of receptions only had no exceptions, even though this was a new policy and combined ceremonies and receptions had been conducted there shortly before. A clear reasoning was not provided and my heart was broken when we decided to look to other options.
For those looking to host their reception or a corporate event - I found the following to be great:
- Venue was modern and airy, with gorgeous exposed beams and a grid wall that would be easily decorated with tealight candles
- Two large rooms separated by the kitchen and bathrooms promoted good flow
- SLU location with plenty of street parking and a smaller private lot
- Space came with a number of round tables and white wooden chairs
- Space could come with the AV (screen, projector, mic), though the projector was not working properly when we came to visit
- Could use any registered caterer and bring in own liquor
Downsides:
- Obviously, the no ceremonies policy (minus 2 stars). I still do not understand their policy - it's a 20 minute non-denominational marriage ceremony, not like we're conducting human sacrifices!
- Management was unresponsive or slow to email and initial email responses were curt and unhelpful. Though our in person meeting was great and informative and communicating over the phone was better, I was concerned that the site manager was too stressed and would not be the most attentive to our needs.
- Bathrooms were on the small side, basic (three stalls, concrete floors, and glass bowl sinks) and felt "sterile." This is nitpickiness, sure, but for my wedding, I'm all about the details. -

We had our wedding and reception at 415 Westlake and it couldn't have been better. the exposed beams and wood floor are totally our style and once we hung large white paper lanterns from the beams, it made a big space into a beautiful open venue that felt very comfortable and lovely.,
The cafe was perfect for folks who wanted to sit in a living room kind of space and talk. and the main room was stunning for the ceremony and the reception. It was a perfect temperature and the extra lighting details we rented made it quite a dance floor.
According to the caterer, the kitchen was dreamy and a nice place to work from and since it is brand new, they were thrilled with the equipment. -

415 Westlake is a fantastic venue! We (Shooby Doo Catering) catered a wedding there and found the flow of the place to be very convenient with the full commercial kitchen, two large concrete pillars for buffet and bar, and full service cafe for cocktail hour and coffee! This venue is able to seat a very large capacity also. The bride and groom did a great job placing candles through the surrounding giving it a very modern romantic feel. The architect that designed the remodel had it well thought out!

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at 415 Westlake. I know that they are no longer allowing ceremonies here since moving all the people to the foyer during the changeover is not kosher with the fire department. I understand, though its a shame since it is such a beautiful spot to get married.
The space is great - loft like and industrial. My husband and I found the event staff wonderful to work with both before and during the event. They made our wedding run very smoothly, and were excellent all around, even reminding us to pick up our iPod before we left!
Highly recommend checking this place out. It held our 120 guests very comfortable, though I wouldn't have pushed above 150 for a sit down dinner and dancing. -

Wow, what a cool spot! I had no idea this place existed until last week. It's simple but the layout is great, plenty of space, and a bar area. If I was in need of a venue to host an event, from a social event, to a party, wedding reception, or big birthday bash, I would definitely choose this spot!

I work as a photographer and have photographed multiple events at 415 Westlake. It's versatile and holds medium-sized events pretty comfortably. The lighting setups are good and the space is open.
They don't book wedding ceremonies anymore, just receptions. For a reception, they're easy to find/get to and the parking is reasonable.
If you stop by to check it out, they have great coffee during the day too. -

I was here for a performance by my friends band. 415 is a great venue depending on whose playing or what the event is. It's a remodeled warehouse or business of some kind and they did a great job of cleaning it up and giving it a "hip", modern look without destroying the industrial character. Lots of exposed beams and woodwork. I don't know if there is a full kitchen (update: per their website they do have a full kitchen), but they do have seating area and counter for serving food and drinks. There is a tiny, tiny parking lot right by the entrance but it's shared with Re:public and Tesla Motors. I find it easier to park on the street around the corner.
