This adorable bakery showed up over a year ago, and the very first day they had me hooked on their fresh peach tarts. By "fresh," I mean that they had the fresh whole peaches right there sitting on the counter, and tarts were pulled out of the oven while I was there.
Since that time, I drive by every day -- and I do not stop as often as I should (which would be every day!). My co-workers have fallen in love with the breads that I bring from 4 Seasons - cranberry, banana nut, pumpkin and their favorite: squash chocolate.
4 Seasons posts lots of photos to their Facebook page. Since they are always creating new and different things, you never know what they might have. Often, I see something interesting on their Facebook page and stop by the next day to pick it up. Recently, they've installed a refrigerated case and they are offering more perishables.
Other favorites of mine are the macaroons, the Dutch almond cookies, and the ganaches - any ganache. The bread pudding is awesome when warmed. They have various quiches, which I've taken for lunch. Oh, and the handmade ice cream.
Please excuse the interruption in this review - I have to pause this review to run up and grab one of those flourless chocolate cakes! -

A fantastic little bakery in a location you'd miss if you didn't know it was there. 4 Seasons is located between a liquor/convenience store and a check cashing place. Odd! But they don't need a fancy location because their products speak for themselves.
For the gluten free folks - they even have some things for you. Peanut butter cups, flourless chocolate cake, macaroons, and cookies (on occassion).
The flourless chocolate cake is incredible. It's smooth and creamy, SO rich and delicious. You can order a large one or pick up individuals at the shop.
For my 30th, we had a white cake with mocha filling and everyone was raving about it all night. They decorated it nicely with raspberries and chocolate. I want it again now that I'm thinking about it.
The scones are delicious! I thought scones were dry and I didn't like them. Wrong! Their scones are moist, crumble just slightly and have great flavor. They had blueberry and cranberry orange the day I stopped by.
I seriously cannot wait to try something else next time! -

Highly recommended German/European bakery run by CIA grads. I have enjoyed the Xmas seasonal items from this bakery. Stop by and check it out. Not on the beaten path, between a liquor store and a check cashing place!

Get over and check this place out!!!! A quiet, unassuming bakery next door to an old convenience store- blink and you'd miss it. But this place is not to be missed. High quality baked goods that were offered at affordable prices. This is exactly the type of small business that we should be supporting. Go visit the bakery or go see them during farmers market season. You will not be disappointed.
This is a little bakery run by 2 C.I.A grads who are followers of the Slow Food Movement. They support local farmers and promote a healthy lifestyle with their products. According to their website, you can find them at a few of farmers markets (St. Charles, Tower Grove, Maplewood) from May thru Oct. They don't need to put their time or money into a big sign or flashy building because they bring it with their baked goods. From the flourless chocolate cake (OMG!!) to Orange Olive Oil cake, to the French and Coconut Macaroons. Everything was scrumptious! So many other things were available- Artisian breads, house made granola, biscotti, scones, muffins, assorted cookies, tarts- the list goes on. Apparently they offer a light lunch menu as well. There was a chalkboard advertising things such as hummus and quiche. I'll be back to try those. And back for more flourless chocolate cake.
