Review from Jordan Y.
San Francisco, CA
This was an unexpected gem to be found while traveling to the outer reaches of Connecticut for dinner with three friends. The decor was fantastic, very reminiscent of a hip restaurant found in New York City, save that the square footage could eclipse such a place in the City.
Cocktails, beer and wine were all fairly standard fare. Warm bread was brought to the table, with a head of roasted garlic, and what I could only describe as a coarse hummus. Portions on the meals were generous, and generally tasty, but nothing I would necessarily drive back to Litchfield again for dinner... for instance, my osso bucco, while having a fantastic sauce and roasted mirepoix on the side, was over done and tough... though I brought it home and Bumper enjoyed it throughly the next day. All of that said, I still enjoyed the meal, and do not fault the restaurant for the overdone meat, I am fairly sure it was an anomaly.
