Neighborhood: Brooklyn/Park SlopeBeautiful store. They do such a good job here. From the items they choose to sell to the way they lay out the store, everything is really well thought out. It's always a pleasure to see what they have. Usually, I'm in there when I need to buy a gift (prices range considerably, which makes it really easy to find something for anyone), but I ALWAYS end up getting a little something for myself :)
I used to not recycle. I know, I'm an awful, awful person. In the last year or so (maybe because my sister had a baby and I started freaking out about the future of the planet), I have slowly started taking steps toward "living green". It's pretty easy to do, in a city that demands recycling, and public transportation is so widely used. It's harder as a consumer, though. I found 3R Living, and I love it... they sell everything from re-purposed jewelry, to organic cleaning products (I buy all my Meyers Cleanday stuff from there), to organic baby stuff (as well as soy candles, bath products, etc.). Some of their stuff is a little pricey, but that's the way it is, unfortunately.
So, one star off for that, but otherwise, it's a great place, and the counter girls have all been really friendly. Does anybody know of any more "green" stores that are cheap?
