Not sure if they got the memo that naming yourself after a certain temperature just isn't that "cool"... I'm sure Nick Lachey could attest...
The one and only thing you will think of when you step foot in here: Trying. WAY. Too. Hard.
While the Apres culture is the icing on a perfect day of riding white, 39 degrees is doing too much and doing too much.
Blaring hip hop music, with sheek benches that are impossible to get comfortable on, decor that is more fit for a Vegas penthouse than a place for frosted water, and a staff that debates hair gel makes this place almost unbearable for even 1 drink.
The only reason I would come back would be if Derek and Hansel were here because they actually care about kids who can't read good.
This place is the archetypical, swanky, young professionals' lounge. A place to see and be seen. Essentially, 39 Degrees defines the Aspen aprés ski scene. Complete with indoor lounge and outdoor bar, poolside, at the foot of Aspen Mountain.
39 Degrees also offers a limited menu if your interested in eating.
It can be a fun place, but I tend to mosey on to less pretentious watering holes -- yes, they do exist in Aspen!
