Fremont, CA
I gave this restaurant 5 stars just because I feel really bad....
Anyway, only go here if you have all the time in the world, or if you're someone who wants to hang out with your "soul mate" ...forever.
I hate that I love this restaurant...seriously it's the funniest restaurant I've ever been to.
1. They play music by Akon where the lyrics seriously consist of the words "me, tea, fee, dee, yee, wee..."
2. It takes about 5 minutes to find an employee just to make an order.
3. After you make an order, you can seriously take a half hour nap, or walk around Pac Coms TWICE, and they still wouldn't be finished with your order...lmao.
4. The drinks seriously just taste like water.
However, I really enjoy their rice chicken bowl. For only $4, it's fricken HUGE if you don't order it togo. It's hugoooooo I'm serious. And yes they don't really add any seasonings but HELLER people, there's a side where you can add your own seasonings if you please.
And as for the non English speaking employees, give them a break...It's probably a family owned place so all they're trying to do is help out their own famzzz...
Anyway, I still like coming here. It gives me a good laugh, plus the food portions are ginormous. Support your local businesses people...c'mon now -

This place is definitely a hit or miss when it comes to getting my "usual"... chocolate milk tea with large pearls... Now PLEASE tell me, how complicated is this order? The drink is either too bland or too sweet or mixed with something that isn't chocolate. The pearls are almost always undercooked for crying out loud. When I ask "So how are the pearls today?" I get looked at like I'm speaking a totally different language. On one occassion, they screwed up my drink by mixing some black rice instead of the pearls. So they decided to use to same cup without pouring all that s**t out and handed it to me. What the F***! The last time I visited them, I actually asked if they could mix in a little more chocolate because it was bland... They gave me my drink re-sealed but it tasted the same... What's up with this place???? This place gets two stars because 1, the select few employees TRY, and the 2nd star is for when they actually make good drinks...
Don't get me started on the customer service...
I resort to this place because it's on my way to work and it's less than a mile away when I want to grab a quick drink. My route and routine changed thanks to how they can screw up a drink.
I recommend going to the Quickly's on Fremont Blvd and Paseo Padre in the Ranch 99 shopping center. Their drinks are impeccible, I don't get why they have such a low rating. -

In search of a late-night refuge after discovering that Kaenyama's bar was closed for renovations one Saturday, we stumbled gratefully into 37 C Dessert Cafe. At first, it looked like an unexpected upgrade. The seemingly endless menu featured obscure delicacies like osmanthus jelly I'd never seen outside the Motherland, for eminently reasonable prices. Decision fatigue kicked in as the boyfriend and I stared at page after page of multi-colored drinks. Was there no end to this veritable cornucopia of Asian snackery??
Ultimately, we decided on a neon blue lychee drink with exploding jelly bells, the standard popcorn chicken, and osmanthus jelly. My eyes bulged out of their sockets when I saw how much popcorn chicken came on one platter--this is not your TapEx paper bag serving. Sadly, it was all downhill from here. The giant portion of chicken was filling, but a little bland. The jelly--bland. The drink alone was okay.
Late night options in Fremont are limited, and if you're feeling a little fobby (as well as cheap and tolerant of blandness), this is an okay place to hang. I wouldn't come here on the regular, but as I'd say to my friends: it's aiite. -

1st visit:
Messed up our to-go order - gave us calamari when we ordered wings.
Calamari was in a soup of oil and was extremely extremely soggy. Disgusting.
2nd visit:
Came with a group of friends - asked for 3 menu items - but they were all unavailable, ordered noodles and drinks instead.
Noodles both smelled like wet dog and old socks - tasted even more disgusting after finding a hair in the soup.
Drinks are below average.
Asked for soysauce, didn't even know what that was in English - didn't even have soysauce available - what the double hecks?
To sum it all up - service was horrible and the food even more so. Not giving this place another chance thanks very much. -

The food is good..when it's right. I generally have to get my order fixed at least once everytime I'm there. Other than that, the drinks are tasty and the hours are good..opened late!

I wish there was a ZERO STAR or a NEGATIVE option! That was the absolute worst experience EVER.
We decided to come in after dinner to grab some late night dessert. Walked in, seated ourselves, and we are confused whether we are to order at the counter or if the lady was supposed to come around to take our order. Not good already.
We finally flag her down. Since none of us had cash on hand, we asked her if we could order separately on card. We tried to reiterate this several times, and she just DID NOT understand us. Her english and communication was BEYOND TERRIBLE! We used baby phrases like "order separate"... until we finally used Chinese to communicate with her. She laughed and said, "Ah yes, that is fine as long as you all don't share desserts!" We agreed to all order separate desserts.
Proceed to order OVERLY PRICED desserts. Got the green tea tiramisu that is supposed to come in a cup but was a piece smaller than the palm of my hand that arrived on a plate instead. They overdosed it with matcha green tea powder and it was bitter. Tried to finish it knowing I paid an undeserving $3.50 for it.
I had to leave early, so I went up to the register to pay. Took me a while to find the lady because she was hiding in the back or something. Told her in English I had the green tea tiramisu and she asks, "Green tea?" and I say yes. She rings it up and out comes a $24 bill with a green tea jasmine drink with pearls.
I tell her it's a mistake and that we're paying SEPARATELY like we had asked for and she had agreed to earlier. She is confused. I also told her I didn't order a green tea drink but had already eaten the green tea tiramisu. After minutes of going back and forth and I start to talk in Chinese, it probably starts to ring a bell because she goes, "OHHH! You guys are paying separately? But you can't pay by card unless it's at least $20"
Could the communication been worse? What did she think we were saying earlier?!?! By this time, I'm REALLY annoyed. My friends and I agree to just owe me money later and I'll pay it on my card for now. I tell her to cancel the $24 and to only charge me the $21 without the green tea drink. She prints out two receipts. I asked her if she double charged me and she says no, and that she cancelled the $24 order. I nod my head, still annoyed, and leave.
Came back home, looked at my online statement, and the $24 in all it's glory is pending. I have my $21 receipt so I'm going in tomorrow to complain.
Ridiculous. Please learn some basic English!

The yelp reviews stand correct, this place is like a one or barely two stars place. Only come here if you're craving Chinese desserts and don't have anywhere else to go.
Everything is mediocre and their service is a little slow. Don't expect much. The young waitress has a funny bounce to her step....I guess considered good entertainment???
Their egg puffs that people rave about aren't that great either. It isn't as crunchy and puffy as it should be :( -

We had just finished dinner at Food Talk Cafe and were looking for a place to hang out. While walking around the plaza, we discovered a Quickly.
Bunny and I was in the mood for a drink so we went inside. We noticed that no one was really at the front desk and had to get someone's attention to take our order. He ordered a large green tea with no sugar or tapioca while I wanted a regular strawberry green tea. The girl at the cashier seemed to have trouble hearing what I wanted. I'm not sure if it was the noise or because I have a soft voice, but either way, I didn't think my order was anything out of the ordinary.
The total came out to $6.05 and that should have been red flag, but I didn't think much of it at the time. We take a seat and wait for our drinks. Then a different person comes out and speaks Mandarin. The drinks are both the same size and are orange color. I usually order Strawberry green tea, so I'm used to seeing some red color in the drink. It was confusing to me as to why both drinks looked exactly the same and were both the same size. When trying to ask which one was strawberry, the lady didn't seem to understand us. She didn't seem to speak any English and would keep repeating the same thing. She even ended up getting some bags out for us to pack the drinks to go.
The original girl who took our orders came over to explain which one was which. We didn't stick around and just took the drinks to go. I wasn't impressed with my drink and didn't taste much strawberry flavor. Also, I didn't order a large size and usually don't drink that much.
I don't see myself coming back to this Quickly.Listed in: Top Dessert Places

The egg puffs were quite good. Udon was just alright, nothing special. We got watermelon juice with pearl, and the girl behind the counter was nice enough to give us a large and some more in another cup. Really chill of her.
Everything came out to about 16 bucks, and I was pretty satisfied since we came at 1 AM.
Yes, it's a little pricey for what it is, but hey, what's open at 1AM in Fremont? (and has free wifi for hulu ;) ) -

The milk tea here is pretty damn bad I must say. My tolerance for milk tea is pretty forgiving, but considering where this place is located, I really expected more. Even a Tapioca Express in East Oakland can make a better milk tea than this spot. What's worse is that this place is pricier than other boba shops.

well, that was one of my worst experiences. I usually dont review about chains such as this, but this location stood out. I came in around 1:30 to a nearly empty store.
Half the lights weren't even on. The employees (i had a feeling the cashier was new) were extremely slow and inefficient. She would take one order, go prepare the order and finish that order before taking the next one. There were only two people ahead of me in line, but it still took me over 20 minutes just to get my order.
Not only that, but there were two employees. The employee in the back clearly noticed a small line, but did not even budge to help.
finally getting my order, the pearls were mushy and felt like they've been sitting out for quite some time.
Definitely a pass next time, unless i'm desperate for tea and don't have cash to pay at Tapioca Express across the street. -

Fremont, CA
Perfect for late night snacking since this place is open late until 3 AM (might be updated but not too sure). Their menu had been expanded recently and was added with Quickly's menu. A bit too overwhelming if you ask me. An average new person who would look at the menu would be hesitant due to its multiple pages of menu.
The only good thing I can say is that it is open late, and their egg nuggets. Though it is a hit and miss, sometimes it is overcooked and or sometimes under cooked. Their finger foods are not bad since they cook it pretty consistently (who can messed up fried foods right?). Though their service somewhat sucks. They would bring orders out of the blue. One person would be always left behind with their order and had to make sure that the server don't forget.
Overall, late night, safe location and sub-par service. -

When you order and don't specify a drink size they automatically assume you want a large one and charge you for it. I realized this after I paid her (but had not gotten the drink yet) and asked to switch it to a regular but she said she couldn't because she already input the order. In hindsight, maybe I should have fought it but whatever. She didn't give me my change until I said something about it. I ordered taro milk tea with no pearls and man, it was super sweet. Not impressed at all.
The interior is okay. There are a good number of tables to sit and chat.
Our cashier didn't speak English too well but I didn't hold it against them. However, it did take her a while to come to the front to take orders.
I'm not likely to revisit this establishment. -

I went here a few nights ago and ordered a tapioca milk tea and it was BOMB! I like my milk teas with a more milky, sweet taste, with a hint of tea flavor. Tapioca Express and Verde Cafe pull this off quite well, and so did Quickly that night.
I returned to Quickly, excitedly anticipating the same drink that I experienced that previous night. I ordered a tapioca milk tea and the pop chicken, and my total came out to $8.25. Kind of expensive if you ask me! Turns out, the girl charged me for a large drink. I didn't realize it until she brought it out. I never said I wanted a large. First off, I thought if you wanted a large drink you had to ask for it, but the default will always be a small drink. At least that is how it is at other Boba places. She apologized, let me keep the drink, and gave me the $0.50 refund (gee thanks). To my dismay, my tapioca milk tea DID NOT taste like the one I yearned for. This one was very watered down and had more of a tea flavor. I HATE THOSE KINDS!! Either I was trippin that previous night or Quickly is just not consistent with how they make their drinks. Very disappointed.
To top it off, Quickly definitely serves the worst popcorn chicken I've ever tasted. They serve their chicken with no seasoning whatsoever. This makes the chicken taste like fried clumps of nothing, which is disgusting. I took a few bites, then threw the rest away. This was the only time when I didn't feel bad about wasting food. I don't even think starving children in Africa would like their chicken.
What can I say? I'm allergic to shitty food and shitty drinks. Quickly needs to quickly stop serving bad food. Don't waste your time and money here. -

37C Desert Cafe years ago had nice desserts in showcases you can examine before ordering. now quickly just shows a picture on a laminated sheet. not very appetizing.
all 37C counters, decor is gone. left behind is the typical quickly high barrier shelf and the plastic menu.
drink: jasmine tea (1.99)
-clerk rang up the large size without asking me. got the difference refunded.
tea drips:
-watch out for rugrats flailing behind their parents.
-order counter to close to front door. everyone congregates there.
-all desserts made behind counter, unseen.

It is funny how Boba places seems to be in clusters. There is one strip mall in Newark that has 3 of them. This strip mall has 2 of them. There is a Tapex and there there is this one.
It has Quickly in the name but seems more unique in terms of the look and the menu. Not complaining, I like trying new stuff. The egg puff was interesting and good. The boba drinks are on par with tapex.
Can you buy the "People love us on Yelp" sticker?? Cos this place has one but only has 2.5 stars which is interesting. -

Worst Quickly that I have ever been to.
Walked in, no warm welcoming, register is located at the front door (why would you do that?) unattended. We waited at the counter (where customers waits for their orders) thinking that it was the right place to be to order drinks .. WRONG. The employees are totally unhelpful, they stared and stayed silent. I had no knowledge of the fact that they were even employees because they wore sweat pants, slippers, and oversize pullovers. It took at least 5 minutes (which is long when you're standing there clueless) for the employee (with the PJ wannabe outfit) to stand behind the unattended register to ask for our order. When we finally got what we ordered, we walked out, took a sip and left it on the side of the street because of the horrendous taste of the drinks. Bleh.
Only if I can give them 0 stars ...Listed in: do NOT, and I mean, DO NOT GO…

Review from Winnie G.
ZERO STARS ZERO. NADA.
They're Asian owned so I get the whole only cash thing or at least 20 dollars worth of food or charge credit card fee, blah blah blah. Problem is?
Terrible service.
Food is cold and bland.
Drinks are flavorless.
Prices are outrageous.
So not the best place for dessert, but still not enough reason why to give the harsh zero stars even for late night dessert. This is why.
So went in charge my credit card for 22 dollars worth of drinks and snacks, signed the receipt kept my copy and went along my way. Two days later, my credit card company sends me a bill for 2 grand. TWO GRAND. WITH THREE ZEROS. For 37C Cafe. That's not even remotely possible. So I hop on the phone and call the place at 10am, no answer. Left messages. No answer. Called back that night. The girl who worked there didn't speak English and after my broken chinese yelled at her, she said she'll leave my number with her manager. Did I get a call back? No. So after another two days, I call back constantly like a psycho because the bank demanded that I pay, though I wasn't because it clearly was insane. Finally, I reach the owner who doesn't speak English or Canto. She begins yelling at me in some asian language when it was clearly her employees fault. So I told her I have the receipte and I want my money back. She said that she couldn't refund it back to me, but she could pay me that in food or write me a check. I told her okay, write me a check for ALL OF THE MONEY you charged me, and she said you need to come get it. I was like .. you're kidding me right? You overcharged me and now you're asking me to do you favors? No. You need to refund my money through the bank because I never want to come back. She wasn't having it and it seems ridiculous that I have to drive back miles out for a mistake she made. I went back to my bank and filed a claim against the company
and everything worked out for me in the end, where I didn't have to pay. But that was just, awful.
Never come back.

Because of this place, my nephew had to chew on hard balls!
My 17 year old nephew ordered a regular milk tea with boba. You'd think a place like Quickly can't mess on their balls right? WRONG. The balls were hard and chewy, like it was cooked a while ago and they just left it sitting there. (I should have known though, given the lack of patrons at this location and mere 2 star rating)
My 15 year old niece ordered the egg puffs (waffle-type dessert which looks like little eggs), which was advertised as 42 puffs in one order, which is alot compared to the usual. So we thought we scored with 42 egg puffs. Lo and behold, when our puffs came, they were deflated, soft, soggy and burnt.
Finally, yours truly ordered a green milk tea with lychee jello. The green milk tea was all milk and no tea. I couldn't even taste the slightest hint of green tea. Big fat fail.
This place should not serve dessert NOR boba because it's obviously not their specialty. Never again. -

What the hell happened to this place? Probably the MERGE with Quickly.
Tonight:
*Out of QQ balls
*Out of HK egg waffles
*Out of mango ice cream
*Not flexible at all with my L15, Waffle w/ice cream and fresh fruit, I wanted to have small scoops of all the flavors offered, instead of two scoops, made no difference, both strawberry and green tea tasted horrendous, think school cafeteria cups, then down TEN notches, yes THAT bad. The waffle in the picture showed a fluffy belgian type waffle, what I got was two barely warm, not toasted, at least not in color EGGO waffles. I make better toaster waffles at HOME.
*Fruit in both our desserts were not fresh AND precut. I don't care that it's precut, but do you have to COVER the fruit.
Credit card minimum: $20. Open late till 1am.
It's all going south QUICKLY.Listed in: My Itty Bitty Sweet Tooth, Voted by the People, yes…

This place is awful!!
First off, I hate tea places that make you sit down and order. Seriously? Just trying to make some money off tips?
Although this place is open late, it has a huge menu in which everything is either mediocre or tastes like crap.
My brother, his girlfriend and I had a sweet tooth so we decided to stop by and check this place out. We each order a different drink, I got a mango smoothie with sago, my brother got a watermelon juice and his girlfriend got a green tea. My sago was frozen and disgusting and they didn't like their drinks either.
We then also ordered the fried squid, fried chicken and a chocolate waffle with fruit. The fried squid and chicken tasted like batter and it was definitely over cooked. It was by far the worst I've ever had. The chocolate waffle was tiny and 90% of the fruit came from a can or was unripe.
In total, this place is a rip-off and it sucks. Don't come here!! -

I came to this place about three times within the past six months; each visit had worse service than the last. The first time that I visited, I was a bit impressed due to the cheap prices on the menu.
The second time I went, I went for drinks to go. The staff just ignored me, running from the kitchen to people that they knew sitting outside. There was no one else inside of the restaurant aside from the staff. After waiting ten minutes, I became frustrated and left while the waitress was outside. While leaving, a group of 5 (that she knew) came and were helped immediately.
The third and last time was the absolute worst. They catered to those they knew more and just left us waiting. I hate to say it but I'm NEVER coming back. NEVER. -
Review from Connie C.
I came here because Cafe Zen closed and my friend wanted a dessert and this place opens late.
I still remember how it was just pricey but still decent when it first open. Other than the usual high limit for using credit card, I don't have much complains about this place.
The last time I came here, we ordered this Ox drink (with explosive eggs like the ones as toppings at yogurt places with gushing juice when you bite into them), a flan, some osmanthus jello thing, and eggettes.
Not worth it. My drink was simply too sweet. The flan is overpriced. The osmanthus jello was okay, just bland. But adding evaporated milk to it was just odd. All those looked okay, you wouldn't be complaining just by looking at them. The one thing that I was happy about, and no longer will be, was the eggettes. Their eggettes weren't the best ones to begin with. Too much dough and not chewy. Now...... it's flat, wrinkly, and I don't know what I just put in my mouth but it tasted nothing but some tasteless dough. -

Dude. This is the slowest place I've ever been to. I ordered a drink - then went to the restroom ( after I waited in line for 5 minutes). When I came back I looked at the person that makes drink and then I waited for 8 minutes only to find out the person forgot my order! Omg!
This place should be called SLOW-LY! I don't get mad very often but wow - this place was pretty horrible. -
Review from Joyce J.
This place has gone downhill. I went one time before in 2008 and I went again yesterday. The experience was probably as awful as it can get. The servers really didn't know what they were doing and it took a long time to fill the orders.
I went with three friends. My one friend ordered the strawberry sundae and the servers started slicing bananas and eventually made a banana boat. And after waiting 20 minutes and complaining to the owner about the missing sundae (by then the rest of us were done with our order) the owner brought out the banana boat and told us that it was free. The strawberry sundae that came later look nothing like a strawberry sundae on the picture (it was strawberries with ice on the bottom and tiny tapioca drenched in some lightly sweeten liquid and then a giant scoop of green tea ice cream on top- a very dreadful combination)
It could possible that because the place has joined with Quickly that it is under new management but I would really think the place needs better staff training and quality control. -

Sucks I can't give this place no stars, but that's how much this place sucks. 0 stars is what they deserve.
The waitress took forever to bring out the food and we could barely understand her english nor can she understand what we were saying. I mean seriously if you are going to be a server at least know the common language.
The food was not the best and they take forever to bring it out to you. Would you really leave ice cream sitting out for 2 minutes before you serve it? I thought you would say no, but this is ok for this place. It's nice that they stay open late, but it is unfortunate that their service is not any better. -
Review from Jowin C.
I blame myself. Why did I take myself here?
Service: Horrible. I asked what type of hot drinks are there. The girl couldn't name one. Oh, expect to grow a beard by the time the food gets to your table.
Food: The quality of the food is horrible. It doesn't look like any of the food in the photos. I ordered a mango smoothie with black barley seeds. I requested that the folks don't make it really sweet. Instead, they dilute it and my black barley seeds were frozen chunks. Basically it tasted like ground up mango bits (20%) in tap water (80%).
The eggette was digusting, the batter tasted gross..like too much baking powder. The girl who brought it out already knows it looks like crap, yet she still gave it to us. She put the eggette on a small rack without a plate, so my eggette touched the table.
This place needs a dose of new management.3 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Seeing as this is one of few places in Fremont open this late, my friends and I often default to this establishment when seeing somewhere to hang out at.
The drinks are mediocre at best, and the quality of the food is inconsistent (aside from the egg puffs, which are always satisfactory and delectable). The free wifi is nice to have, but I'm not too fond of the ridiculously bright decor. The pricing is on-par with what you would expect from a Taiwanese dessert cafe (so more or less reasonable).
What really prompted me to give this place only one star, was they have a large, prominent sticker with the four major credit card institutions on it, which, in a typical establishment of any kind, means they should accept all four types of credit cards. Nope. They only take Visa. -

I've been here before, but it's never been this bad!
I had the Tadpole de Mango. The WORST dessert I've ever had!!! It has no taste whatsoever! The mangos aren't fully grown yet. They're still green! The ice thing...it's really hard that I can't eat it at all nor will it melt! I told the waitress about this, and she took the dish to the kitchen and had someone added some "sweet water" into it! WTH?! When I got it back, it tasted even worse...very weird! I gave up, and stopped eating it. When the waitress gave us the check, I simply told her that I wasn't gonna pay for that, and she said ok. She kept apologizing though, until the moment I walked out that door. I know it's not her fault. She didn't make it. So she's ok with her customer service.
Yet, I don't think I'm ever going back again!!! -

This was my first time going to this place.
They require a $20 dollar minimum purchase in order to use your credit/debit card.
They overcharged by bill from $22.85 to $1200.00 on my bank statement.
This is outrageous and I had to go through a long process to get this claim fixed. It still hasn't been fixed yet. And I haven't got my money back.
I would not recommend this place at at. :[ -

I only come here to hang out with friends. It's great for us cuz we're sometimes a large crowd and just want to have a place that can hold this many people ...plus, we're cheap asians.
Otherwise, there's nothing special about the tea. The food is even worse. The only thing I would order from them are the egg puffs, which is something you can't really mess up on. The green tea creme brulee was really bitter...nobody wanted to eat it, so we ended up wasting it. -

This is partly my fault for coming here despite knowing how bad every single experience I have ever had with a Quickly chain has been. I needed some quick-fix milk tea and walked in here thinking it couldn't be worse than any other time I'd tried. COULD I BE MORE WRONG.
This was the last straw: I swear on my unborn children that I will NEVER be a Quickly customer AGAIN!
I ordered a ginger milk tea, a staple of mine. My friend ordered an earl gray milk tea. A girl took my order and shuffled back to the kitchen to make our drinks. Except she kept coming back out to the front to take more orders. Whatever, maybe someone else was in the back taking care of them. 10 minutes later, she brings out my friend's drink. After which she proceeds to take more customer orders. I flag her down and ask her where my drink is. She says "give me a minute" and shuffles slowly back to the kitchen. I figure out that she must be the only one both taking orders AND making drinks despite there being two other girls working (or should I say sitting...?). FIVE MINUTES AFTER THAT, she shuffles back out and says the most ridiculous thing ever:
(sheepishly):
"Umm...... Can you choose another drink? I tried making it, but it doesn't look right... I don't think I made it very good......"
Or some permutation of that, in half-Mandarin half English. I had to have her repeat herself a few times before I understood that she didn't know how to make the drink properly and didn't want me to have a bad drink. FINE, I choose another drink - an Earl Gray milk tea, same as my friend's.
ANOTHER five or ten minutes later, I finally get my drink and discover that it is luke-warm and bland as all tasteless hell can be. At this point my time is more valuable than the money I paid for my damn drink and decide to cut my losses and leave with my bland luke-warm drink.
Getting boba should NEVER be this difficult, frustrating, and just plain ridiculous. Dear friends: if I ever go off the rails and develop even an inkling of a desire to patronize a Quickly chain ever again, PLEASE. KILL ME NOW. Or at least give me a swift kick in the ass and remind me about just how awful customer service at Quickly can be. -

Fremont, CA
It's true, i have definitely experienced better asian cafes and restaurants for that matter. Personally, I think that when 37 Desserts first opened a few years ago, the dessert was bomb, although overpriced even back then.
Now that it has become partly a Quickly, I feel that the quality of the desserts and drinks here has taken a dive. Personally, I'd rather get desserts or drinks elsewhere, but truth be told, this is one of the very few places in Fremont opened until 1 AM every night (and up until 2 AM on Friday nights and Saturday nights). It also has free WIFI, a very bright and colorful interior decor, and some nice lounge sofas. This makes 37 Desserts / Quickly a decent late night hang out if you're with friends and you just want somewhere to go.
As the other reviews mention though, the service isn't exactly the best and don't expect anything spectacular from the food or drinks made here. But it's not a bad last resort or a late night detour if you're in Fremont. I mean, it's really either this place or In & Out if you want to go somewhere to hang out late at night in Fremont. -

I only give 1 star to places that don't deserve to be in business.
Drinks are BAD. The peach flavored milk tea had too much syrup and milk powder even though I asked for less sugar and less milk. The jasmine milk tea was watered down and had too much ice. The basic black tea with pearls tasted like medicine, and the pearls were slimy on the outside and hard on the inside, like they were left in there overnight. It's just your basic order of boba...how can it go so wrong?
The "food" is worse than the drinks and not meant for consumption. The toast is so dry that that we HAD to drink our bad drinks to wash down the "food". Condensed milk toast was covered with this slimy cheese topping and had chunks that "looked like breast cancer lumps".
They sell bowls of desserts that are basically mixtures of mysterious jellies and food coloring. I looked around and every table had lots of leftover uneaten "food" (one table had a full order of untouched egg puffs) You don't leave that much "food" unless there is something wrong with it.
BEWARE: all items on the menu look deceivingly good. DO NOT BE TRICKED. And different menus have different prices on the SAME ITEM...???
Service is disorganized and slow. We seated ourselves, gave ourselves menus, picked up our own drinks off the counter, and basically paid at the cash register by ourselves. Can you tell me WHY we are playing a 15% tip to sit down and get "service"? They also made the wrong toast order (at least we get it for free, even though we didn't eat it because it was so gross) and they refused to split our bill. The waitress is sloppy, slow, and apathetic.
Quickly/Dessert 37, you need help. It used to not be this bad, but this place has degraded to a point of desperation.
WILL I come back: no, I've actually made a pact to never return
WHY not: $4 for a bad drink and nonexistent service, why would I put myself through this. -

To Delicia (reviewed on 5/16/2011): Stay away from that place, not their food!
I had to give this place one star only. I had tried to like this place, and I gave them many chances to prove that it could be worth to go there, but they fail! The drinks are horrible, the desserts are awful, and their service is slow. My friends actually joked about changing its name from Quickly to Slowly!
None of the drinks I had ordered from this place was even considered ok. The last one I got today was Earl Grey milk tea, and it tasted like plain water. I don't even taste the sweetness.
I also tried their dessert before, and I don't remember anything I would recommend. One time, I ordered the baked sago pudding with taro paste. The waitress came back to me in 20 minuets and asked me if I could take the one with red bean paste because they ran out of taro. i asked her if they just made that pudding since she was holding it, and guess what she told me? She said, "no, we made it a few days ago.) wow, I really appreciated for her honesty, but I thought every cafe bakes the sago pudding right after customers place the orders, and that's why it usually requires a wait time of 15 minuets.
I really wanted to support this place since it is one of few places open late in Fremont, but they jsut failed me too many times. -

Bad experience from a to z. The only reason I enjoyed my time here was because of the company, but the food and service here are both horrid.
We sat down and the waitress didn't take our order for about 10 min.
After she took our order, we waited 30+ mins and asked about our order. Turns out, they haven't even started making it yet.
When our order of grass jelly + coconut milk + taro came out, there was some fresh fruit and red bean extra because they made us wait so long. Thank god they did that because it was the only enjoyable thing about the dessert.
The coconut milk was warm when the dessert should've been cold (not to mention it's the middle of hot summer right now). The taro was RANCID. No joke, it for sure went bad. I had to spit it out. The grass jelly was alright.
Don't come to this place. I would rather go over to Costco across the street and buy a carton of ice cream rather than eat dessert here again.
