I never ever thought that I could have this much fun going to a Cubs game! There was a major rain delay and I still had a blast. A place like this is more fun than actually gong to Wrigley Field!
The entire area includes the top two floors of the building along with the roof. The roof top bleachers provide a very good view of the field. If you are hungry you can grab some decent grub on any floor or the roof. If you are thirsty, there are bars on every floor or the roof also!
There was plenty of room to move here. I did not feel stuck to my seat. and the layout made it very easy to chat with my friends. When the rain started pouring down there was an ample amount of shelter to hide! The staff here was all great all of the food was decent and I had a GREAT time! I have hard before this event that this was one of the better rooftop experiences around and I would tend to agree with them! -

Ahhhh....3639 Wrigley Rooftop. I often think fondly of our time together. You were the first exposure that my recently transplanted, New England, Red Sox prone boyfriend had to the Chicago Cubs and you showed them to him with style and class.
Style, class, gluttony and binge drinking.... what's not to like?
The Rooftops are an ICONIC way to view a cubs game so when I saw a Yelp deal offering early season games at a great and discounted rate I jumped at the opportunity. I have to say that 3639 surpassed by expectations. The service was GREAT - friendly, accommodating and high energy. The food was YUMMY and seemingly endless - dogs, burgers, pizza, salad, fruit plates (I think...?), pulled pork sandwiches - I could go on, and all so tasty. The view/seating - PERFECTION (and I've heard from other sources they have one of, if not the best views). And the beer....it was flowing. Such a great way to ring in baseball season.
I have, and would continue to recommend this over and over again as the place to have a amazing rooftop experience; I only wish their prices were a little more affordable for me. If you have the opportunity to go, DO IT!
The Cubs may very well keep losing for another 100 years but if you're watching them do it at 3639 Wrigley Rooftop...it eases the pain. There's no crying in baseball! -

THIS is how to see a Cubs game. An awesome view, lots of various yummy picnic food, and drinks galore. The seats are comfy too.
I saw a game from a different rooftop once but this one is hands down the nicest with the best food and incredible service.
I will never use another rooftop. -

What a fun time at a rainy ball game! I need to go back and try it out during a nice day. We waited for at least an hour until the game started because of the rain delay and were actually hoping for a cancellation. The deal is that if the game gets called on account of rain you can return for the postponed game and start the fun all over again! We were already a couple of beers and a burger into it when, alas, they started playing. Definitely going back!

Just got back from my weekend in Chicago and attending my first rooftop game. All I can say is that the employees at 3639 Wrigley Rooftop are the best! Well, of course, that's not all I'm going to say. Even though it was a windy, chilly, foggy day, all I saw were a lot of smiles because the people who work at this particular rooftop make sure that you are well taken care of. Everyone that waits on you always has a smile on their face and are super friendly. Of course I could have imagined it since I did have quite a few beers, but I don't think so. The food is nothing fancy, sandwiches, pizza, chips, ice cream, cookies, but the food is good and it is plentiful. If you don't get out of there weighing 10 pounds heavier than when you went in, it's your own fault!! I just loved the fact that one of the guys that worked there told me to hurry and get another beer because they were going to quit serving pretty soon. Thanks a lot buddy, just what i needed was another beer so I could stagger back to my hotel. Just kidding, that's exactly what I needed! Now I don't know about the other rooftops, they may be just as good, but I think I'll stick with 3639. At least until I have a bad experience there, then I'll dump them pronto!!! Just kidding....or am I?

This is how I will go to every Cubs game from now on!
I won 2 tickets to the 3639 Wrigley Rooftop at a bridal expo. SO glad I did!
The entrance is at the side of the building, where you line up til the doors open one hour prior to the game starting. You take an elevator up and there's a covered area with bleachers, a bar, food, lounge area, etc.
Then there are stairs up to a few more levels with bleachers - but the best part is that this place is COMPLETELY wheelchair accessible, with wheelchair lifts up to EVERY level!!!
Up on the rooftop, you have a perfect view of Wrigley - it's like you're right there. And 3639 plays the WGN radio broadcast of the game so that you can hear what's going on while you're watching it.
Behind the bleachers are a few tables with umbrellas, and down below is another bar and food stand. There are also employees walking around with more food - because ALL your food and drinks are included in your ticket price!
I think I'm kind of in love with this place :)Listed in: Sometimes You Just Need a…, Spoil Me

This is my second rooftop for watching a Cubs game and so far it's the best. This place was decked out and fancy compared to the other one I had been to on Waveland.
First off the view is fantastic. You feel like you're sitting in the bleachers, but without the annoyances like drunks, expensive beer and losing your seat every time you have to pee.
Walking in you're kindly greeted and then escorted up an elevator (the last place I went to had 4 flights of stairs *whew*!) And then it opened up onto a floor with dark wood and leather sofas. Already there was food lined up (pizza, Greek salads, fruit salad, etc) and bartenders eagerly awaiting our orders! And no cruddy beer here - hello Shiner!!
Then you go out and up to see TWO outdoor sections both with bleachers. You can get out of the sun on the lower one and still see the game. There's a grill and another bar up top. The grill had veggie burger and hot dog options, as well as the standard fare.
And if that wasn't enough, there were PASSED plates! That I really wasn't expecting. Pulled pork sandwiches and roast beef sandwiches delivered right to where you're sitting.
Then the 7th inning stretch happens. No more beer, but more passed food! Brownies and microwaves Otis Spunkmeyer cookies! YUM!
And upon leaving you get a lollipop and a big thank you. All-in-all this was way better than my first rooftop experience. I would recommend this one in a heart beat. Classy and polite staff and crew made a lot of difference.
Oh, and there's TVs in the floors and in the bathrooms. WIN.Listed in: Touring Baseball Across…

What a great place. It is like a private suite at a game. The staff is so friendly, from when you walk in the door to bar tenders and the rest of the staff. Steve, the manager, was especially nice and was so accommodating to our group. He was so responsive and receptive from the initial planning stage, to a walk through before we decided to coordinating our groups day and so great on game day.
The view is amazing. There are plenty of seats for everyone. The private room inside is so cool. The old time pictures are as interesting as the game.
The outdoor TV's are great, so you never miss any of the action when you go get food or a drink. The TV's on the bleachers are great. Instant replay. -

Such an amazing experience for my first visit to Wrigleyville. It was like being in a luxury suite!
When you arrive, you wonder where the entrance is. It's a narrow walkway on the right side of the building. Inside is a lobby where you're greeted and given your pass. Up two flights of stairs and you'll find a sports bar like set-up that even has a tv in the floor! Before the game, they served pulled pork sandwiches and italian beef sandwiches. Beers, drink as many as you can. Premiums like Heineken and Amstel were included in the price. Up another flight of stairs is the rooftop, the grandstand that you would see on the TV shot is another flight of stairs above that, which means you have a retreat from the sun on the hot day without needing to go inside.
The seats up top were stadium style seats. They did seem wider than the seats inside the ballpark. There were flat screen TVs attached to the side of the grandstand structure, but with the bright sunshine, they were difficult to see. The audio from WGN was very helpful though. Behind the grandstand is the grill. They will quickly heat up your choice of burger, dog or brat. Noting fancy, but also nothing you'd be ashamed to serve at a BBQ with friends. Throughout the game, the staff came through the grandstand with more of those italian beef sandwiches for those inclined.
Before reserving at another rooftop, checkout what kind of seating they have. The rooftop to the left had the same kind of seating as 3639, but the rooftop to the right had the aluminum bleachers you'd see your HS football stadiums and on a hot day would be miserable.
Getting to see a game from the 3639 rooftop was an absolute delight. They totally exceeded my expectations and I would come back on future trips to Chicago. -

Thanks, Yelpers... I am SO SO glad I went to this rooftop!! I bought tickets for my boyfriend's birthday, and we went to 3639 last Friday for an afternoon game. This place is SO nice. We enjoyed great cheeseburgers... other food offerings were numerous-- brats, hot dogs, grilled chicken, veggie burgers and veggie dogs, different kinds of pizza, bowls of fresh fruit salad, and green salad as well. They had pick-up dessert and ice cream bars too! Wow!
The beer selection was great... Bud/Miller/Shiner Bock/Amstel Light/Heineken.
The staff was friendly and cheerful. There are granite countertops, super nice and clean bathrooms, and so many places to watch the game!
Bring friends, clients, whoever! When we were there, the Hawaii Tourism Bureau and KPMG were both hosting clients.
The view is great too... you will be so impressed. I am thrilled I went, and can't wait to go back. -

This place is classy and awesome. Everyone on the staff was unbelievably nice and friendly. Sometimes when you go to these things, the staff is miserable and hates their job- definitely not the case here. As far as the food- it was great and kept on coming. Anything you would want to eat was available. At the 9th inning they even brought out cake and brownies- totally unexpected and great.
The building is set up great for any type of weather, and has an excellent view of the ballpark. There are 4 different levels to hang out on- plenty of room to hang out with your friends. -

I have been to this rooftop several times and have never been disappointed. It has been updated with immaculate finishes. Even the bathroom has flat screen TV's in it. There are several floors to choose from, an inside bar area (wonderful granite bartop) stocked full with top shelf liquor and most common beers, serving pizza and salad. Another flloor with a terrace and an ice cream case. And a top floor with a grill to order food, hamburger, hot dogs, brats, etc. In addition the friendly staff is walking around serving food on a platter such as pulled pork, fresh baked cookies, etc.
If you keep a lookout they have specials on groupon or their rates where you can get discount admission at around 75-90 a person. A good deal if you're going to do it up on the food and drinks.
As well the outdoor seating area is nice and if it rains the staff is there to provide rain ponchos at no charge. -

We had a work outing in June and I was happy to hear we were going to 3639 Wrigley Rooftop. I'd never been to any of the rooftops around Wrigley Field and I was excited to check it out.
3639 Wrigley Rooftop is a multi-level building with many different features. The 1st floor is the main entrance. Actually the 1st and 2nd floors are also private residences. The 3rd floor is a fully enclosed area with multiple bars and all different food and snacks and seating where ever you turned. The 4th floor was partially covered, but still pretty open to the elements. The 5th floor was just restrooms and an area where you could get made-to-order grilled sandwiches (burgers and dogs, etc). The 6th floor was like the 4th, covered, but open. The 7th floor was the "sun roof." The reason I tell you all this is because unfortunately on the day of our work outing the weather took a turn for the worse. It was about 40 degrees outside, raining and very windy. So, usually this building holds 250 people inside and outside, on all levels, but on that day, they were all trying to jam into the enclosed 3rd floor, where you couldn't even see the game!
It was fun to get out of the office and check out the rooftops, but this was not the ideal situation. Butts to nuts inside or freeze your ass off outside! I hope work decides to do this again next year and I hope the weather is better. I think rooftops are probably a really fun day, just not this day exactly! At least the Cubs won! -

Having sat at another rooftop club down the street last Fall- I was glad that at least this one had an unobstructed view of the field. 3639 Wrigley rooftop is a pricey way to enjoy the game (runs about $220 a person) but hey-when it's "organized fun" for work , what's a girl to do but go and have FUN!
There are three levels to this club. The first is indoors and has a bar, seating areas, a restroom and plenty of glorious food coming out of the kitchen. The next level up has another bar (there's a theme here) another restroom and more food but is open on the sides to the outdoors. And then there is the roof level with the seats and bleachers with (yet another) bar and food on the 5th level.
The food is quite good. Hot beef sandwiches, pulled pork, hamburgers, Italian sausage, chips, fruit, freshly baked cookies, pizza, and ice cream. Certainly more food than you will ever eat but that's the point. And you can wash it down with a choice of beer, soda, water or wine.
The bar service was a little slow but since we were there with at least 4 other groups (one of which had no regard for lines and seemed like a bunch of frat boys all trying to out drink each other) it was more an issue of traffic flow than the fault of the bartender.
If I had a wish is would be that they would have had more women's bathrooms in the place. We found a total of two between the 3 floors so that meant there was always a line! The other rooftop that I was at last year actually did a better job in building more adequate facilities.
The place is immaculate, the owner greets you on the way in and thanks you on the way out (always love that!) and the security folks are polite as they are ushering you out. Just know that all the same rules come into play including no more alcohol served toward the end of the game.
I still prefer actually sitting in the stadium as these "Clubs" always feel a bit removed from the action. But you can't beat the service, the food or the attentive staff.
And what can be wrong when asked what you did at work today to respond , "I was on a rooftop in Wrigley all afternoon". Work doesn't get much better than that! -

With Labor Day weekend coming up, I just had to yelp about Wrigley Rooftop! Going to see a Cubs game on top of this building is extremely enjoyable and definitely a great time.
Man oh Man......how much food can one person eat!?! With never ending food and beer throughout the whole game it was hard for me to focus on what was going on on the baseball field. Who won the game?? Who cares.....FOOD! BEER!!
The only thing I was bummed about was the lack of nachos. I want yummy cheesy nachos Please!!! -

I've never been to a rooftop before now, and thanks to people being to busy at work to attend, I scored an extra ticket to a project wrap-up celebration. I'm a slacker, so I'm not as busy as all those other suckers.
I didn't really know what to expect either - 3639 looks to be the tallest of the rooftop options - maybe as tall as one right next door, but certainly taller than all the others. The entrance is around the side, and I was told to take the elevator up to the 4th floor, grab some pizza, and then head up to the 6th floor. Wow. Taller than I had thought. Anyway - the 4th floor looks to be a great little enclosed bar area - I didn't spend much time there, and the 5th and 6th floors are open seating outside. This place seats a *ton* of people, too - probably a couple hundred outside, between bleachers and a rear patio/grill area. Really really cool. Our favorite feature is the "astroturf" on the roof - nice and cushy, makes standing really tolerable. The sightlines from the seats are excellent too, since you're so much higher than the outfield walls.
Food and drinks were free - good selection of sausages, chicken, burgers, BBQ pork sandwiches, and on and on. Very nice spread. And very friendly staff - even a guy waiting to shake everyone's hand and ask us back as we left, which I thought was kind of classy. Prices for seats towards the end of the season get more reasonable - even the Cubs/Cardinals game I attended was reduced, given that both teams were firmly out of contention by the end of the year.
Not knowing any of the other locations, I think I would still pick this one, almost based on the height of the building alone, never mind the amenities. I definitely want to come back. -
Review from Diana T.
I attended the Cubs game last weekend on a near-perfect Saturday. It was sunny (fairly windy though), great crowd, combined with all you can eat and drink. The topping on the cake was the Cubs win, and that can be a rare occurrence. Boasting 3 floors of bars, food, ice cream (none of that generic stuff either), rooftop, and wonderful wait-staff, it's one of those places every Chicagoan must check out.

GREAT SEATS outside of Wrigley Field (if you actually watch the ball game). This was my second rooftop experience, the other being a sister location (3609), and it lived up to the expectations. This location seemed to just a little bit better.
Company outing was the event this time around. They accommodated roughly 100 for our group plus the public. Upon arrival they had chex mix type deal for snacks along with fruit and side salads. Pizza, chips, and a handful other munchies were everywhere. As for the entrees it was basically anything they could throw on the grill. Burgers, brats, etc. etc. Hot of the grill = can't go wrong.
Beers were flowing the Sox's runs (cross town classic 10-5, Sox victiory). Plenty of TVs throughout the building including one in the bathroom. Even if you weren't paying attention to the game you were still watching it with a beer in hand.
Though I am not sure of the all-inclusive price I would come to expect around a couple hundred easy. The seats have a sweet view. Going with a decent group or with a couple buddies, knowing everything is paid for (except tips), turns out to be a great time. -
Review from Nektaria R.
Take me out to the ball game! The 7/3 game against the brewers was a real good time on 3639. 7 cubs fans and 1 brewers fan embarked on an opportunity to take in some rays, enjoy the game, heckle own brewers bud and relax among the best crowds in the city.
Food: Pizza, grilled chicken salad, fresh cut fruit, riblet sandwiches, beef, grilled items, chips, ICE CREAM bars including haagen daz! Cookies, lemon bars, brownies.... lot of items that I definitely missed on this list.
Refreshments: Lots of different beer, wine and sodas. Ice cold bottles of water.
Atmosphere: Electric on the roof. Relaxed on the patio. Engaged in conversation and not the game on lower level.
People having a really good time. The manager and staff constantly talking to you and smiling. Just really nice people and loving the fact that you're there.
The only minus was the bathroom situation. The line to a single restroom was about 5 people deep but the mens was always empty so the ladies were going in there since there's a lock on the main door, so 2 at a time were relieving themselves. No problems. It's all good.
Amstel anyone? -

So this week I finally made it to a rooftop Cubs nightgame...it was a blast...as far as I remember!
The staff was very nice, food was abundant and the drinks were ever flowing.
I wasn't a fan of the cheese pizza but everything else I had was delicious....I would have loved it though if they had a nacho bar to offer....
overall great hospitality and I can thank groupon for the opportunity to finally make it without breaking the bank...
oh and let's not forget the Cubs won! :-) -

Had a great time with several coworkers at 3639 this past weekend. The variety of spaces on 3-4 floors ensured that no particular place was ever crowded. There were bars and food offerings everywhere and even servers who walked around with passed finger sandwiches. Everyone who worked there joined in the festive mood of the fans and really went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great time. While I'm really glad they had Shiner Bock cans in addition to the usual macrobrew cans, I found myself gazing longingly at the 12+ taps at the next rooftop to the south. Aside from a somewhat limited beer selection, these guys really do a fine job putting on a baseball bash!

Great way to enjoy the game without actually going into the field - but you somehow end up spending even more money than if you had gone into the field!
This was my first rooftop experience so I have no other comparisons. I think it's a ton of fun, but I don't think it would've been worth full price (we used a Groupon to get in for half price basically). The major bonus while we were there is that they decided to serve the food and alcohol almost through the entire game. Which would've been like a little piece of heaven had I not drank 30 drinks at the game the day before. I don't know how other people do games back to back!
Pros:
Food was decent and plentiful (hot dog, brat, burger, chicken sandwich, pizza, snack mix, chips, fruit, salad, ice cream, sweets at the end)
Good beer selection - Heineken, amstel light, and then the regulars
Comfortable seating
Clean bathrooms
Unobstructed views
Very friendly staff
Great views of the City
Cons:
Beer selection was smaller by the rooftop seats
People go for the experience and not for the game and forget the people behind them are trying to watch the game
EXPENSIVE
I would recommend this place cause it was a ton of fun, but only in specific circumstances. If it was a work party. If you have a large group event. If you have a ton of money you're looking to blow. If someone is giving it to you:) -

We hosted our closing event for a corporate conference at 3639 Wrigley Rooftop on a Friday afternoon - and it was great! The event space is superb with three levels and plenty of bleacher space for those who want to watch the game.
There are bathrooms, bars, and food on pretty much every level; and the staff is wonderful. We received many compliments from clients in attendance on both the space, the food (burgers, bbq, salads, hot dogs, pizza, and more), and the staff.
Also - don't forget to taste of sampling of all the ice cream - drumsticks, dips, strawberry popsicles, ice cream sandwiches.. and so much more. -

These generous owners gave tickets to the LVCC (Lakeview Citizens' Council) to sell and all proceeds went to the Lakeview Pantry. We made a team building exercise and took our staff. We had a great time, ate (and drank) until we couldn't fit anything else in and were treated like royalty!

Amazing!! Where to begin. So much food- pizza, veggies, pulled pork, Italian beef, brats, burgers, salad.... Etc etc. Everything we had was amazing and I wished I could eat more. I've been to other rooftops, and this is definitely the nicest of the group. Tvs everywhere, even in the floor. Very friendly staff, lots of room to roam around. On a clear day- the best view in the city. I'll definitely be back!!

I have done games at the stadium but from now on rooftops is the only way I will go! And I don't think I would stray from this place, the service was one of the best experiences I've ever had.
They were upscale with TVs and clean and Definitely affordable considering how much good seats and a food would cost you at the game. Unlimited drinks and food until the 7th inning stretch. I honestly felt like a VIP. It I could give it more stars I would. -

WOW! I've been to a couple other rooftops in the past, but 3639 is in a league of its own. AWESOME view! Food was great and the staff couldn't have been more attentive and welcoming.
Was up there with a group of friends and co-workers for opening day, and it was a blast. I was on this rooftop couple years ago and it was nice, but wow, they've really made an improvement..completely renovated..tons more bleacher seating, beautiful indoor club room. There were about 3 or 4 different levels to explore.. and great views from all spots. Definitley the nicest rooftop by far. And such a deal, they kept the food and drinks coming all day! Very impressed with the food, not to mention the delicious desserts.
Hope to get back up there for another game soon ... GO CUBBIES! -

They do an AMAZING job at 3639 Wrigley Rooftop! I would highly recommend it. Last year, after investigating nearly every rootop in the area, I picked 3639 as the place we would hold our firm summer event. All 100 people that came had a blast. The food was great and the staff (especially Steve!) was very helpful and on top of their game. You have a great view of the field and typically get a nice breeze even on a hot day. We had such a great time-so much so that we are going back this year! I even brought my boyfriend as a birthday present knowing even would love it despite being a Cardinals fan. I would highly recommend 3639!!!!
