The pad thai is pretty tasty here, and I have somewhat high standards for pad thai. And I like that they have "veggie duck," which I've had trouble finding in Soho (VERY surprisingly).

However, I can only take-out from this restaurant because it absolutely smells like a port-o-potty mixed with cat litter. I don't understand why, because it looks spotlessly clean inside. But I can hardly stand to be inside for more than a minute before I have to run outside for a breath of fresh air. And I'm shocked that only one other person so far as commented on this...

Horrible service.  My coworker and I were waiting 45 minutes and no food was delivered to the table.  Manager and waitress did not do anything about our complaints.  We returned to office with empty stomach starving.

I have been going to this place for about a month now for lunch since my relocation for work and I must say that I love their food.  They can work on the spices a bit more, some of the foods are a bit bland but, the basil dishes are great.  There is a large selection on the lunch menu and it's conveniently located in Tribeca is you are in the neighborhood and have a craving for Thai.  The staff is polite and the place is clean.

A little pissed at the curt attitude, poor service and average food.

I'm staying at a hotel closeby and looked up their website to order some glass noodle salad. Went over to pick me up. The owner insisted that the dish was 9.95 instead of the 8.50 that i saw on the menu on their own website. I tried to correct him but he wouldn't listen! Oh well.

Let's talk about the food. The food was warm but the flavors very mild, despite my request for spiciness. The tofu was fried - wish it was steamed - but that wasn't their fault. I should have clarified.

Is it just me or does the place smell like a toilet? I like the food, but it takes me a good 5 minutes to get used to the smell.

Skip the lunch menu. I find the regular entree portions to be perfect and the right price.

A little meh on my Pad See Ew.  Too dry.

Also ordered Thai Iced Tea by delivery, and no big straw - that takes the fun out of it!

I also got the Kanom Jeeb with the lunch special (2 pieces were scrunched into the tiny containers usually for soy sauce) - and ironically of all things, that actually came out rather good and dare I say, authentic?  For some reason in Tribeca it has no competition price wise for a lunch special so it will do.

I was so pleased when I discovered this place.. I randomly Yelped this place as it was one of the only Thai restaurants listed within walking distance from the office..

It is a beautiful spacious venue with stone walls.. and nice round banquettes.. I really liked the atmosphere and it feels somewhat hidden.. Perfect place if you're feeling particularly angsty that day and want to let off some steam with some coworkers.

This place is perfect for lunch! Nothing beats an entree and appetizer for 8.95! I got the curry puffs and the Pad Thai which were both equally yummy and satisfying.

As we walked in to the restaurant, I noticed that there was an $8.95 lunch special where you could get anappetizer and an entree.  Unlike other Thai places that I've dined at, this special was limited to only a few entrees.  I normally will do anything to get a good deal, but since I was craving drunken noodle, I skipped the lunch special and decided to go with just an entree for lunch instead.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was different than most Thai restaurants I've been to in the city.  Many of the Thai places i've been to have tried to be trendy, with decor, intimate lighting, music pumping and intricate bathrooms (i.e. Peep's bathroom where the door is a two-way mirror).  Any hint of being trendy at 35 Thai was completely thrown out the window and I felt like I was back at a restaurant in the suburbs of Connecticut, with Enya playing.

As far as the entree went, kudos to 35 Thai for being the first restaurant to understand how spicy I like my drunken noodle.  I've ordered drunken noodle many times, and despite asking for it mild, I always end up having to chug water after several mouthfuls since my mouth is on fire.  This was the perfect amount of spiciness for drunken noodle with chicken and it was pretty good.  Everyone joked though that I left half my dish on the plate.  The dish was filled with onions, and while I love french onion soup, onion bagels, etc., this was just way too much.  I would have rather had some other veggies, like peppers, tossed on it instead.

If you are looking for Thai in Tribeca and need to find a restaurant where you can dine-in, 35 Thai is a solid choice.  When I was reading most of the reviews downtown, many would comment on restaurants that they'd be comfortable getting take out from, but would never dream of eating in.  If you are looking for a no frills restaurant, 35 Thai is an average, safe bet.

In for the night, but we were hungry for Thai food.  Seamlessweb came to the rescue, and apprised us of 35 Thai Restaurant which I had previously not heard of.  Too bad, because they offer up decent Thai food at agreeable prices.  Not the best Thai food in Manhattan, but better than average and for the culinary ghost town that is Fi-Di -- fantastic!

I ordered the kanom jeeb as an appetizer and the pad thai for the entree.  I chose the kanom jeeb with both pork and shrimp.  These looked less like steamed dumplings and more like huge meatballs.  Indeed, the pasta shell was a mere aside.  Nonetheless, if not pretty, they were tasty.  I would order them again.  The pad thai I took with shrimp.  The shrimp numbered 5 in total which was sufficient enough to complement the amount of noodles.  Not exceptional pad thai, but functional and tasty nonetheless.  My version was very hot which I appreciated very much.

Overall, I found 35 Thai to be a no frills, stripped down, takeout food kind of place that met my needs nicely.  Recommend for that.

$9 lunch special is a great deal. For two bucks more, ordered some fresh jasmine tea, served in a French Press, a nice touch.

I ordered the coconut lemon soup, which was so simple, subtle and sublime that I felt I understood a small iota of what Thai culture was about. I tried not to be a pig and slurp it all down as quick as I could (umm, that's my culture).

I asked for 'medium spicy,' and that's just the way my fried noodles came--a stimulating ping on the tongue, without my eyes watering.

My ladyfriend ordered chicken dumplings, which were good-sized and delicate, though the sauce was a bit too sweet. Her fried rice and vegetables had light, subtle seasonings that did not cloy.

Overall: very nice, simple and quiet place to eat, a pleasant respite from bustling Canal Street, just around the corner.

This location is considered Tribeca and is next to Chinatown. This street is very short, not known much and parallel to Canal St. It has feeling of back ally. When I stepped in to this street, I definitely feel less stress from Chinatown ciaos and so as in the restaurant.

Order Thai iced tea or I get one of their interesting desserts with it. I like Glua Hom Sa-Bai (fried banana srping rolls). If I have a company, I get also Pineappple Ice cream to enjoy crunchy and creamy...yum!

They never rush me. Although the food is okay but I often think it would be a good to have a lunch meeting because even during lunch hour, they only have few tables with customers but they do have busy delivery.

I was invited to 35 a few weeks ago, for a party. Before deciding to go, I checked with yelp, of course, first. The reviews were terrible, and that convinced me to go even more. No, not because I don't trust yelpers, but because I wanted to see how bad is two-stars bad.

It turns out it wasn't that bad. I liked the checkered floor; with chairs and tables pushed aside, it became a unique and funky dance floor. Of course, I was dressed up and danced salsa--so that unique floor did not belong in that night, but in an era that passed about 30 years ago. But it still looked cool as I spun and twirled in the waves of a dance I pretended to know.

Drinks were good, not that badly priced.

The outside was terrible though. Located in the most shabby and dirty area, on Lispenard street...yea, enough said. It just sucks.

So, to up the ratings, I give it a 3. Drinks  + Floor + Dancing - Outside - Strange dude who tried to give me a joint telling me it was cigarette outside. I mean if you're gonna give me pot, at least don't lie to me about it--not like you're trying to pass off some x pills to me. Geez.

EDIT: Sweeet!! I upped the rating by half a star! And you thought one person can't change the world! HA!

As a newbie to the seamless journey, 35 Thai was one of the first spots that I hit up (after all, it appears at the top of the list). Instead of wading through all of the billions of Thai restaurants available, you pick the one staring at you. And in the end, you will have made a not too bad pick.

I have only passed by this spot once and it is cute and trendy looking, but this is all about the seamless delivery. For delivery to my Tribeca location, they are usually pretty timely between 10 (Did you actually cook the food?) to 25 mins.

Their pad thai, though FAR from the best, is flavorful and juicy. The roti pancake though kind of greasy is greasy deliciousness. The curry that comes with it even better. But, really this place gets major props for the Tiger Shrimp Rolls. Omg, YUM!!!

35 Thai when I am here late working like a troll for the man, you serve me well. Thanks.

At my job we just recently moved offices and we're trying all sorts of new places. The funny thing is we're pretty much on the same street as the old office. Today for lunch we decided to try out 35's lunch menu, we ordered-in so this review will focus solely on the food and ONLY the food. It won't be about the delivery guy that could've used some immediate dental care, or the fancy paper bag the food was delivered in. Only the food.

Because I had watched Bobby Flay and his opponent cook some BBQ the night before on Throwdown with Bobby Flay on Food Network I ordered the pulled-pork sandwich. What can I say...I had a hankerin' for some BBQ. 35 says its a smokehouse, it offers some ribs, and pulled pork to prove it too. And the BBQ is pretty good too, for a quick fix that is. Its not the most amazing pulled pork sandwich I've ever had, but it most certainly wasn't the worst either.

The portion was a bit smaller than what I had expected, but the bread was super tasty and held up pretty well given the gooey nature of pulled pork. I took my first bite and it was warm, gooey, and tender, everything a pulled pork sandwich should be. My only qualm was the BBQ sauce, it wasn't vinegary enough for my taste. Also they held together the sandwich with sticks which kinda camouflaged with the bread and I nearly choked! Other than the near death, the sandwich filled me up pretty good, despite being smaller than what I had expected.

The menu says "all sandwiched come with fried and cole slaw." AWESOME I thought to myself, but I was let down. I was expecting a mountain of fries...instead I got an anthill. The cole slaw also came in this super tiny container that is really meant for putting ketchup in...not for a side dish.

Basically they're a little meager with the portions. The food is worth the price in terms of flavor. If the portions were a bit larger this place would really rock. I'd say its like 3.5 stars, but I don't wanna give it a 4 and give everyone high hopes.

Reading past reviews, it seems like this place used to be a BBQ joint? And switched over to Thai sometime between '07 and '08? In which case, this place really should have gotten a new Yelp entry. Anyway.

I come here for lunch once in rare while. The lunch special is decent...something like $7.95 for an appetizer and an entree. I usually get the pork dumplings (plump but a little on the greasy side, topped with crispy garlic bits) and the fried rice (good texture/not mushy, proportional balance between the amount of rice and other stuff)

By way, don't order the pork. It...has a weird after taste. And weird taste in general, actually.

Tip: Saha Thai on Centre is less fancy/trendy-looking in terms of decor, but has much better food for less money!

This restaurant is perfect for lunch during the work day. Their lunch menu includes an appetizer and entree for under $10.

The atmosphere is very pleasant with very nice staff.

Recommendations from the menu (work in progress):
    - Duck Spring Rolls - omg, amazing
    - Pineapple Fried Rice - I was a little wary about this dish, but ended up licking the plate.

I ordered from 35 (I believe it's now called 35 Thai) last week for lunch because they were one of the few places that allowed Seamless Web order pickups...and I had a 20% off Seamless Web coupon.

I had the panang curry with duck.  The portion size was small compared to other Thai restaurants, but I still ridiculously full by the time I finished.  I also have to say that it was really delicious.  The duck was tasty too.  The curry was mild...just the way I like it.

But something was wrong.  It wasn't even that much food, but I was so full the entire day.  When it came to be dinner time, I was still so full that I just had some raisins.  Then I went running 7-8 hours after I had lunch, and I felt like I was going to throw up the curry.  It was not fun, and I could kind of taste it still.  Why???  Even though it was good initially, I probably won't eat their curry again.

TIP: If you phone/internet order a to-go meal, pick up your order at the bar.

Whoa how time flies!  I'd forgotten about this place and just randomly ordered from it on SeamlessWeb.  The shrimp pad thai was delicious - the spicy sauce was a hit with us.  The roti was more chewy than flaky but it sopped up the curry sauce (which was very spicy).  The lamb curry (medium spicy) was flavorful and tender.

Glad they've improved -- just hope it's this way the next time I order from them.

Three words: LOTS OF FLAVOR. Finally, I've found a Thai restaurant that doesn't wimp it down.

I stopped in here for a quick bite while running an errand on an off hour (2:30 PM on a Wednesday), so I couldn't tell you what it's like during peak times, but this is a great lunch spot. For their $9 lunch special you get an appetizer of choice (many choices, not just spring roll or soup) and an enormous, dinner-sized fried rice or noodle entree. I had a very spicy Som-Tum salad, (I had asked for "medium spicy") and tofu pad thai. Boring, yes, but even the pad thai was bursting with flavor.

The space is clean, spacious and presentable and the small counter in the back with a full bar seems to indicate it gets a little busier at night, but for now I would definitely come back for lunch!

I received the absolute worst Pad Thai I have ever had in my life from here today. The tofu was dried up and the dish looked and tasted like it was made last week.  The place looked empty when I arrived to pick up my order...maybe the cook was just lazy today.  Never again...35 Thai - you broke my heart.

mmmmm  great Thai delivery in the Downtown area!  Delivered right to my door, fresh and hot via http://Seemlessweb.com.  I got the Pad Thai with Beef which was very delicious. I ordered mine spicy and it had just the right amount of spice.  Very large portions and it was reasonably priced. I also got a Thai Iced Coffee which had just the right amount of sweetness in it.  I really enjoyed my meal and I also have more than enough for lunch the next day and the noodles are even better the next day.  I highly recommend for delivery (haven't been to the actually restaurant).  Will definitely be frequenting this place as good Thai is hard to find in NYC. 35 Thai is a keeper.

Came here at lunchtime and ordered their red curry (beef) lunch special with curry puff as appetizer. The curry puff was pretty tasty, but quite oily. The red curry was alright, but the portion was very small. What I really liked, however, was the smell of jasmine oil incense that permeated the room; very pleasant...

So I know that my great friend and neighbor recently started to adore this place but I must remind myself that there is a reason who I never went there since they opened. And I live a block away. My chicken curry dish was way too spicy at level 3 and the spring rolls were OK but the attitude we got after asking to be seated at a larger table was a bit much. The wine was kinda gross but I kept sticking my face in my glass to distract myself from smelling the bathroom! I couldn't have asked for our check faster and raced outside for a gulp of fresh air. What's up with this place? After dealing with the stench over lunch, I was mortified to even use the restroom and I did have to pee...

Hotel guy told me he had heard mixed reviews and that some other guests had complained about the taste. I just don't think they are used to fresh lemongrass, ginger, lime leaves and thai basil. I thought the Tom Yum soup was delicious and thankfully not a tomato piece in sight. The shrimp was not overcooked and the broth was tangy, sour and just a little sweet. Yum. I also had penang shrimp.. the other reviews are not wrong the dish is not overloaded with protein but the curry was fresh and flavorful and the peppers were perfectly crisp and not overcooked. I would recommend trying this place, it wasn't full of ppl but there was a lot of delivery action while i waited for my takeout.

I eat here fairly often due to its proximity to work. The prices aren't bad, especially for lunch. You get an appetizer and entree for under $9. I usually order the curry puff appetizer which is pretty good. For the entree I usually order the chicken pad Thai or chicken pineapple fried rice. Both are great. The decor is nice and the portions are good. The service is decent for the most part. Try the Khao-Nuea Sunka Ya for dessert. I would go here for a casual dinner with my girl.

The dick curry was ok more curry than duck and veggies. I've had better Thai food for less money. It not about the price...if I'm paying 20$ for take out it should at lease taste good.
