Sunset Beach, CA
I went into 33 Degrees with a few friends last time we were down on the harbor. We were looking for an alternative to the cookie cutter feel of the Yard House and Tequila Jacks and we definitely found it here. We had a great time. It's a nice place.
They have two patios. One looks over the water to downtown LB and the other faces the Queen Mary. We also happened to catch the sunset off their patio too. Beautiful!
I ate a pretty tasty burger. I think they called it the Queen Mary burger. The place seems to pride itself on its craft beer selection. I don't know much about craft beer but what ever the server suggested was delicious!
We talked a little with our server. She was very nice. It seems that the bar is under new management. I think that may explain why our experience was so much better than some of the previous reviews.
Whatever the case may be, I will surely be going back to 33 Degrees. I don't think there's another waterfront bar in LB quite like it. -

Stopped in here last Sunday with friends for a beer and some food. Cute place, right by the water in shoreline village. Walked in to a large menu of beer on tap, very exciting....then as we sat down Metta World Peace elbowed Harden in the face during the OKC game, extra exciting! So we ordered our beer, I got a purple haze (my fav) and ordered a bacon burger. To my suprise this burger did not come with bacon nor fries. If I am paying $10 for a burger, shouldn't I be entitled to fries and at least A strip of bacon? Guess not. All in all, our attempt at a nice lunch was squashed by 33 Deg Pub.
The only highlight for me was the Laker game, and our waitress, who was a very cute gangster looking white girl.Comment from Ed S. of 33 Degrees Harborside Pub 4/25/2012

Pub / Restaurant on the Water.
We had a leisurely lunch here on a sunny afternoon before heading back to work and I have to say, we had a great time and a good meal.
Having read some of the other reviews on this place only after eating there, I have to wonder if there are times when it is screamingly busy or maybe they had bad waitstaff in the past? Our waitress was on the spot with refills for our drinks and orders etc.
We were strolling the shore-front village looking for a place to eat and we agreed that this place looked like it would fit the bill. We grabbed some seats out on the Marina side and ordered up. The menu selection was ample and we all found something and tossed in an order of garlic fries to share.
My fish tacos were very well executed and the garlic fries were... garlicky. Throw in the great view on a sunny afternoon and you have a winner.
Prices were average and we would go back when in the area again.

First thing, the website listed here (http://33degreeslb.com) has expired...what is up with that? I guess a website is not that important. I however disagree and personally would like to see a simple website that outlined the menu, the daily specials and maybe a few pictures. For example, I went there last night but had no idea that Wednesday is wine & wing night. If I had previously known that all wines are $2 off and the wings (which were http://bomb.com) are 10 for $6 all day/night every Wednesday I'd have been going there every single Wednesday. Big shout out to the bartender Brian, what a good dude. Additionally I'll highlight a few other things that I really like about this place:
1) ton of great craft beers on tap, all reasonably priced
2) a simple cheese plate, an excellent appetizer
3) a dynamite view of the harbor, i highly recommend sitting outside on a beautiful day for lunch/early dinner - you won't be disappointed
4) 25% off for service industry folk, drinks included
5) a nice looking, well lit bar

Drinks were good. Food was whack as well as the service. Nice ambiance by the water but that's about it. Probably will not go back.
Probably okay if you are just in the mood for drinks. -

It's generally a bad sign when you're waiting for service so long people at other tables are offering you food because, as they put it, they've "been there," and concluding, "It's probably best if you just left while you can."
All I can even remotely say about the food is that the place smelled like garlic fries.
Couldn't even give a review for the tap water we were never served. -

Long Beach, CA
Came here for a birthday party. We were a group of 12 or so and looking to try something new in Long Beach. Here are my findings.
Drinks: Most of us went for beers, which has a nice selection, but not too overwhelming. The liquor selection was good. The prices were fair for the area and the ambience.
Food: The food was ok to good, but nothing quite blew us away. The prices were too high for what it was. None of us felt compelled to return for anything we had (primarily appetizers) on the menu, nor did we feel we needed to try anything else.
Location: The restaurant has a nice modern feel to it with a good nod to the marina and sea faring without being too campy. It's roomy and warm inside. There is a small patio, but its border shares more space with the walkway between another building and the parking lot. You don't have much view of the Marina from the patio.
Service: Here's the main reason of the low score. We were a private party of about 10 people who had called ahead and were told to sit in the patio and to take whatever tables we needed. The night we attended was not busy, so we basically had the patio to ourselves. The waitress told one of us that she wasn't going to be serving us since she was trying to get off work, so to go to the bar if we wanted anything. The place wasn't busy, but the one bartender clearly had his work cut out for him if he was going to have to run food orders out to us and sling drinks. Also, this was a Saturday night. It was odd to see them cut their waitress, irregardless of the amount of customers in the place.
Later, a band began setting up their equipment right next to where we were sitting. We were then told by the bartender that he thought they were supposed to setup inside, but if we could move down one table to accommodate them, that would be great. We opted to shift over a whole set of tables, expecting the music to be loud and for a crowd to gather. That crowd raked in four of their friends, none of whom had ordered any food or drinks while we were there.
Then the waitress reappeared! She had been there the entire time (a couple of hours) and hadn't served us once. She had apparently (according to her) not been released and really didn't care about the money, she just didn't want to be there. Well, neither did we. We left shortly after.
Summary: Frankly, I think I would've enjoyed this place if the customer service aspect would've been stronger. I don't expect a bubbly waitress who compliments everything I do. But, for a Saturday night at Shoreline, and for the prices they are demanding for their "gastropub" style food, I would expect the service to match the dollars. If it weren't for the hard work of the bartender, I would've probably zeroed out the tip. After all, the waitress clearly didn't want the cash. -

Hey, 33 degrees is all about location, plus their happy hour lasts an hour longer than the Yardhouse and Tequilla Jack's. It is kind of a touristy place, but there are some hot broads and if you order your drinks from the bartender (like any good drinker does unless he knows the waitress) and tip him well, the cocktails are stiff.
33 degrees is not the Ritz, but it is a great spot to party. The food is mediocre at best and it should not be considered a restaurant, but a bar with food.
The atmosphere is great and it is worth stopping by. -

Second time here, for drinks only. Service is great, we sat at the bar since there were only two other people in the place. Bartenders are super friendly, beer selection is ok (the hubs had a hard time finding one he liked) and their pomegranate mojito is delish. They had a special on jello shots last night for NYE, and people were ordering them left and right (is it weird that they all used spoons?!). The place started to fill up as the evening progressed, and a DJ with not enough bass provided the sounds (and dance party).
This is my new favorite bar, maybe next time we'll try the food. -

We have given this place a couple of chances. It is walking distance from home in the quaint little area of Shoreline Village. Not one of our experiences has ever been stellar but just kept trying. We are done. The food is terrible, the place has zero ambiance, and the mixed drinks are terrible. We had a margarita and a bloody Mary yesterday and they were the worst drinks we have ever had, hands down. The bloody Mary tasted like the worst cheap vodka and the worst mix I have ever had the misfortune of having. The margarita was terrible too with the cheapest and nastiest taste possible. We took 3 sips and left full drinks, something that has never happened. I really think the only reason this place has any business is the outside area that overlooks the marina and is on the boardwalk. But we will never enter again. It's terrible food and bad drinks, you are much better off going hungry and thirsty on one of the benches outside of this place on the boardwalk. There are way better options here in the area at shoreline. Go there

So... the sign outside says Martini Mondays. It says all martinis half off.
The sign inside says seat yourself.
Done and done. And we wait, and wait. And the place is empty and we wait. Hm. Well, let's looks at the menu and decide on which martini we'd like. *flip*flip*flip* ...um... there's no martinis in this menu. Let's go drag a server to our table and ask her what the martini specials.
Oh, you don't normally work Mondays? Oh, you didn't even know it was martini monday? Well... uh.... can we still have some martinis? Oh, there are no martinis in the menu and you don't know if a menu for them exists? Okay... so... .... .... .... .... ... .... ....
It seriously was the longest pause ever. Finally, we couldn't wait for her to pick up the pieces any longer, and we finished the sentence, ".... can we just order some general martinis?"
"Sure, I think so."
"Okay, do you have pear-flavored vodka? I'll just have that."
"I have no idea."
"Um.... so.... .... ..... just come back to me."
In the meantime, my pal ordered up a dirty martini and asks if they have bleu cheese olives, surprise, surprise, the server had no idea. But she surprisingly does offer to check. ........and doesn't return for 15 MINUTES. As we see her checking on all other tables and bringing other tables orders.
Frankly, we should have just left, but this comedy of errors was just too much to believe, we had to see how it ended. There was another round of waiting much longer than necessary for our drinks, and again when we asked how much they actually cost. In the end we had some awful, watery "martinis" and a general bad (albeit somewhat hilariously bad) time for all involved.Listed in: Downtown Long Beach…, Group Dinner Spots OC/LB, Ceviche in SoCal

33 Degrees appeared to be promising. However, after sitting around a good 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence, then finally fetching a waitress, who, ODDLY ENOUGH, knew NOTHING about the drink special they had advertised on the chalk board at the entrance (1/2 off Martinis), things started to taste just like that hideous dirty martini I eventually received (15 minutes after ordering).
I can't even imagine eating here...if just getting a drink was this painful, i can't even wrap my head around the notion of ordering food and having it arrive pipping hot, tasting wonderful.
Not sure if it was the waitress or the waitress or the friggin waitress that rubbed me the wrong way. I didn't dine here because I wanted to partake in the 1/2 off Monday Martini specials. But she didn't know what kind of Martinis they served. She also didn't seem to be familiar with the operations of a Monday drink special since she mentioned she usually doesn't work on Mondays. Well, I'll be! Perhaps someone should have given her a heads up? Maybe put a post-it note on her time card that told her what her place of employment serves on a daily basis.
And it wasn't so much her lack of EVERYTHING that put us off -- it was her poor attitude. She didn't strike me as a "go-getter" or "accommodating" or "customer service is my top priority" type of gal. I was literally living a Clueless moment - you know, the scene where Cher is clueless about LIFE 101. "Fer shur."
Suffice it to say -- my dirty martini was gross...olives were great! I wish we kept walking towards the churro / funnel stand instead of stopping here. -

I went back here again, but this time with a larger group of friends and on a Friday night instead of a Monday. The four stars I gave it is simply because their food is amazing. I recommend the build-your-own-burger every time.
Everybody ended up loving whatever food they ordered, and we got plenty of beer for the table: sampler shots and 16 oz glasses and etc. This being a Friday, service was much better, although still lacking (it took them a while to finally tend to our table). But the waitress was nice and friendly so I let it slide. Well, according to my friends, she was especially nice and friendly to me (she even gave me a free beer), so I might just be biased haha.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Long Beach, CA
This place is hidden amongst the touristy Shoreline walk.... But their beer selection is not to be missed!!!! They surprisingly had my favorite beer on tap, Abita Amber.... I haven't seen it on tap outside New Orleans in ages.... Soooooo good... I was instantly won over, so far so good.
And then the downhill slide started. We ordered the calamari and a cup of the clam chowder to start. The chowder was more like a clam flavored vegetable soup, it was comprised of half cooked potatoes, carrots, corn and I believe I spotted one lonely clam. The calamari made me want to give up on life.... It was fried soft in corn meal and mushy to the taste.... Yuck. The marinara sauce tasted like it came out of a jar. But yet...... The beer is still my friend.... A $6 dollar flight was affordable and the waitress was very helpful in selecting and tasting the samples.
The waitress was extremely attentive and helpful.
The build hour own burger was intriguing .... The patty itself was gross, but toppings were yummy. The highlight of the night was the double cut pork chop. The sauce was sweet but perfectly good with the perfectly cooked chop.
Two comments for the management... (1) Why do the menus look dirty and spilled on... I actually got up to wash my hands after touching mine... How about some plastic covers or fresh paper menus everyday... Such a terrible first impression.... (2) clean your bathroom... It looks like some toddler went in there, peed and the toilet papered the whole thing.
Overall a pretty average experience... Based on my fellow yelpers' reviews, I believe the service has I proved tremendously....... Now on to the rest of the stuff that makes a good restaurant..... -

After posting a negative review the owner requested I give it a second chance so I did.
Within ten minutes of arriving we were given menus and were able to order. This was definitely an improvement over our first visit. I ordered the pulled tri tip on a pretzel roll with the Irish Red. Hubby ordered the Mahi Mahi with the Strawberry Blonde. However the beer wasn't as cold as it could have been. Also, I requested a side of mayo, which was brought to me and that's when I informed that I would be charged. Needless to say I remain disappointed and don't plan to return.1 Previous Review: Show all »

This was the worst eating experience I have had in years.
We ordered the nachos as a starter and they came out way skimpy with a couple thimbles of cheap salsa, then they charge you extra for more salsa.
Our group of four all ordered what we were supposed to be their best meals.
The taste was ok, but not great, the portions were all small, in fact we ended up going out to another place to eat later that night.
But the worst was how they nickel and dime you for things such as:
Drink refills
Ketchup
Mustard
Ranch
Salsa
Mayo
This place was a serious joke, I'd stay away from it.Comment from Ed S. of 33 Degrees Harborside Pub 7/5/2011

Dear Gordon Ramsay,
I think I have found a perfect location for an episod of next season's Kitchen Nightmares. No, seriously, this place needs help if it's going to be anything other than a tourist spot.
I will give them credit for having a great selection of craft beers that almost makes me want to give them more stars... But the food, ugh.
I went with the ever lovely Cutie Cute (friend her if you haven't yet), and we started with calamari and clam chowder. The calamari tasted like it was frozen (completely unacceptable when you are literally 10 feet from the ocean!), and didn't taste properly fried. The calm chowder was just sad... The potatoes were not cooked, and I'm pretty sure it lacked clams (again, 10 feet from the ocean!).
Next up was the build your own burger. The patty was sad. The toppings (red peppers, blue cheese, and bacon), were decent. This was one of those moments when the Bacon Rule comes not play (bacon makes everything better), that might have been what saved it.
Cutie tried the pork chop, and I'll admit it was pretty good. It was sufficiently tender and well cooked. But it just couldn't save the day... Even with the good beer selections, I just can't recommend this place.
One last note, our server was very attentive and helpful. The staff definitely is not a problem. -

This place is great!! We had our engagement party on the "Big Red Bus" and they recommended checking out 33 Degrees as one of our stops. I'm so glad we did! Ed, the owner, was awesome to work with, as was his general manager. We had a party of 30, they had a section set up for us, and we got the tri-tip sliders on pretzel rolls (SO DELICIOUS!!! everyone was raving about them), garlic fries (also so wonderful, I couldn't stop eating them), and two kinds of wings. I didn't try the wings, but everyone loved them. I would highly recommend this place for a larger group. Everyone had a great time, and the food was absolutely delicious! Thanks Ed and everyone at 33 Degrees for your part in making our party awesome!

I had a terrible experience here, as did my tasteless friend.
My friend eats anything. He likes everything. Not this place.
We used the http://restaurant.com coupon and purchased a couple of meals and the nachos. The coffee was old and they should have made a new pot. The nachos were terrible. The chips were older and not crunchy and I cannot remember more details only that we both could not finish them.
Our waiter gave us a hard time about the http://restaurant.com coupon and said he had to call his boss because he didn't think it was valid. First of all...all the waiters and employees should be aware if there is a coupon out for the public.

I use to frequent Long Beach religiously, specifically around Shoreline Village. It is such a beautiful place. The fresh air. The locals. The vibe. Completely laid back. It must be the view of the ocean that makes everything feel all dandy, just dandy. I miss it so much and I haven't visited since last Fall.
My gentleman company and I purposely wanted to pay this spot a visit after having dinner at the YardHouse next door. Our walk around the pier the week prior caught our ears' attention from the locals' attempt at karaoke from this bar. We were laughing and humming away songs that evening and made it a point we would check it out on our next return. So here we are.
My date has a knack for picking the right seats for us. He opt for the center of the bar so at every angle, you see the view behind us and the karaoke stage infront of us. After all, he was anxiously awaiting for his debut tonight! Hahaha....
He sampled a few ale on the menu (blonde, brown, IDK... I cant recall). They had about a gazillion to choose from. I stuck with vodka shots, straight & chilled ofcourse. The bartender was both friendly and super informative about all the different ale they have.
Open bar. Karaoke stage. Awesome view. Laid back crowd. Beautiful:) -

I have walk by this place probably 20 times and did not know it was there. It was early on saturday morning and none of the restaurants were open yet so we were just kinda wondering around when we saw a waiter setting a table outside so I asked him if they were open for breakfast and he said yes.I was with the kids and we were all hungry. We decided to sit inside (they have indoor and outdoor seating). Our waiter was great, and even the bartender came by and said hi,impressive in this day and age. We all ordered breakfast and it was excellent. I had two bloody mary's that were amazing. While we were there I checked in on yelp and it instantly gave me a 25% off any food item coupon that I presented to the waiter and he graciously gave me the discount off my final bill. The service, the food, the atmosphere of this place is great, I will now make this a regular stop.

I went here because I had a Town Hog coupon. I paid 15 for 30 worth of food. I ordered a turkey burger on the pretzel bun. It was tasty, but was dismayed that they charge 50 cents for mayo and mustard? I mean, I know times are tuff, but who does that? That was a complete turn off. I ordered the citrus aoli since I had to pay, I might as well get the fancy mayo. I dont think they know what an aoli is, because this was more like a foam that was melted. It was extremely thin. My friend had the fish and chips and they were just ok. The portion of fries that came with our meals was chintzy.
When the bill came, it had a 18% tip added. I had to ask to see the coupon again because I KNOW it didnt say that the tip was mandatory. The service sucked. THe server never checked on us and I had to get up and ask to have my drink refilled. She didnt deserve even 15%.
I would never go out of my way to eat here. -

We came here just for the beer. I found the selection interesting so I couldn't resist checking it out. We ended up on the balcony, which was really nice on a perfect afternoon.
Besides the fact they didn't have a clue how to pour a Guinness there was something else that really irked me about this place. Without getting into too much detail, they charged me more for my beers than what was listed on the menu. I didn't get a chance to approach the bartender because she was busy but they haven't responded to my email regarding my concerns.
The bottom line is why would I ever want to go somewhere that rips me off? I really wish I could have caught her to ask her why she was blatantly overcharging me (and probably everyone else). I didn't tip either time and in dollar terms it really wasn't a big deal. On principal, it's a huge deal.
Good luck if you ever plan to see me here again! -

I was so excited about the 25% off check in discount, too.
Nice location in Shoreline Village; very nice staff; great menu, my short rib dip sandwich was wonderful, as was hubby's tri-tip on pretzel roll sandwich. Both orders came with garlic fries (yum), and our drinks were promptly refilled. Bonus points for Open Table reservation points, as well as Hilton Honors Dining points. I will definitely go back here when I'm back in Long Beach in October. Their Happy Hour looks very tempting! -

My son and his wife and my grandson went there with me for Father's day. it was great. They had over twenty beers on tap and we did our best to work our way through the list. Let me start by saying...we only went here because we thought it was still the Springbok bar and I gave this a 3 stars only because the OUR waitress and the location were nice.... We went on a sunday afternoon at about 3pm for a late lunch and a few beers. The waitress was really nice and knowledgeable about the beers they had on tap. The menu is really small but I saw a chicken sandwich with bbq sauce that looked like it couldn't really god wrong.....WRONG! It was horrible. First off, it comes out and it so tall that there is NO WAY one could fit this in their mouth...It has onion rings on it but instead of using a ring that is more flat and edible they used the huge thick rings that with the tomato, chicken breast and lettuce made this so hard to eat. And if you were able to get it in your month...it wasn't even good. It had no flavor and the chicken breast was way over cooked... My bf got fish and chips and he really enjoyed them. They came with garlic fries which were pretty good. The beers on tap are good and if you can sit outside the view is great. This place has really great potential but needs a major adjustment. The waitstaff seemed a little dis shelved and the "flow" was non existent. I would go back and probably just have drinks.

The good: The pulled tri-tip sandwich with Muenster on pretzel bread is epic. EPIC I SAY! The beers on tap are delicious. I liked the indoor seating area, I liked the outdoor patio right on the water. The crab dip was also delicious.
Our server was FANTASTIC. I didn't get her name, but she had brown curly hair and light eyes and was absolutely great to our large-ish party.
The bad: Paid parking lot, but it was relatively cheap.
They have a http://yelp.com check in offer that gives you 25% off any entree, and NO ONE in the place had any idea what i was talking about. I showed it to my wonderful server, who then told one of the owners who insisted on seeing it. I showed him my phone, and he still seemed dubious so I finally said, "I didn't put it there, and I didn't make it up!" because I was so frustrated by his reaction. You're the owner and you don't know who put a special check-in offer on your http://yelp.com site????
Karaoke blasting SO LOUD we had to yell like we were in a club instead of sitting at a bar. We had to go inside and ask them to turn the speakers down.
The food I had was tasty and the beers were good, but the owner is a jerk so I doubt I'll ever go back. -

After doing much sightseeing along the shores of Long Beach I happened across the Shoreline Village. It's kind of a touristy spot with a bunch of restaurants and some small shops. I was on the thirsty end tired of sipping cold water in the warm sunshine throughout the day. Since it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner I decided to look for a place with a bar and a place to sit for a bit. Yard House and Tequila Jack's were the first two places I walked by, and both were quite busy in terms of patrons. I wasn't looking for huge crowds or chain businesses for that matter so I kept walking.
The abundance of shaded, outdoor seating was what caught my eye about the 33 Degrees Harborside Pub. That plus multiple TV screens showing several college football games simultaneously. There weren't too many patrons at the time just a handful of people seated at the bar and several couples seated outside. I found my spot to sit a spell and chill off in a corner near the bar where I sat alone and had three TV's all for my own viewing pleasure.
Greeted by the waitress I was asked whether I was drinking only or eating in addition to. The waitress left me the food menu and returned right away with the beer menu. The beer menu was quite impressive featuring some 20 draft beers and another 30 or so bottled beers all categorized by color, taste, alcohol volume and bitterness. I was in the mood for something lighter so when the waitress returned I asked for a Belmont Brewing Strawberry Blonde. The waitress apologized. It seems that's a popular choice and they were out of it at the time. My next choice was the Blue Moon Wheat Ale which was available on tap. I order a cup of soup and some light bites to hold me over until dinner.
The Blue Moon Wheat Ale (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) was a nice pour finished off with a slice of sweet, fresh orange. I loved the smoothness and the light nutty flavor of the cold brew. The food followed a short time later. My cup of Clam Chowder (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) was good. The clam bits were on the light side and the soup stock was thin but the soup was loaded with big chunks of potatoes, celery, carrots and blackened corn. The corn definitely made a difference.
The chicken wings served here are braised then tossed with one of three sauces. They can be ordered by the dozen or the half dozen. My six jumbo wings in honey barbecue sauce (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) were fall off the bone tender. I was not expecting that and enjoyed them while catching up with all the college football scores. The place never really got too busy which was a huge plus for me to stay awhile longer until the sun began to set. Although I stopped eating and drinking the waitress just let me sit until my Saturday football viewing was complete. It was truly the chill place I was looking for. -

I really like going here its a great place to grab drinks and enjoy the harbor area of beautiful long beach. It has a great outdoor patio area in the front and the back and the inside atmosphere is great too. The bartender is super fast and awesome! I have yet to have any food there but this is becoming a regular stop on the weekends.

Walking along the promenade in Long Beach (yes, they have one even if it looks a little forced) we got hungry. We walked by a few restaurants and examined their menus before settling on this one. I'm glad we did. From the excellent build your own burgers to the tasty beer, it was a great experience.
The french fries were hot, crispy, and tasty. The burgers were exactly as advertised: full of flavor with each ingredient being fresh and tasty. The one negative was that they served my burger without the bacon I had ordered. I let our waitress know and she was back in no time with a plate of fresh off the griddle sizzling bacon to throw on my burger. Bacon makes it better!
We sat outside on a counter like seating area overlooking the marina and the pedestrians walking by. As my date and I like the ocean and people watching, this was perfect for us. This is not a place for a quiet, intimate meal. This was entertaining and fun! -

The menu is creative (ahi sandwich with mango, avocado and goat cheese is awesome) and everything I've tried has been delicious. Good draft beer selection. Try the mojito! Sit outside on the water for good ambiance and happy hour til 7 M-F.
Update- I went back in September and the menu was drastically smaller and no longer included beer and wine pairings. Many of our favorites were no longer offered such as the build your own burger. The meat on the tri tip sandwich was definitely not as tender as the previous times we've ordered it. Overall, the experience was definitely not as good as my original review which was 5 stars. The smaller menu made me think they may be struggling. I've been there multiple Friday and Saturday nights and never had to wait for a table on the patio, so obviously they aren't that busy. -

33 Degrees is cheesy!
Don't be mad 33, I mean that in a good way.
I know you guys want to be known for your extensive beer selection but I love ya for your extensive cheese selection
33 Degrees is a small sports bar / gastropub, located at Shoreline Village in Long Beach. The inside of 33 is somewhat plain. They have a semi long cement bar, a few tables and a bunch of HD TVs. They also have a nice sized patio that is also covered with TVs. 33 has a decent sized menu. They offer normal bar food like burgers, fries and nachos. They also offer fancier foods like steaks, fish and short ribs. Since I was there to watch football and be rowdy, I was in no mood to use utensils so I opted to dine on the burgers, fries and nachos.
To start my best friend and I split an order of their Blue Corn Nachos. These nachos consisted of blue corn tortilla chips, black beans and steak topped with queso fundido and fire roasted corn salsa. These nachos were actually really freaking good. Their queso fundido was one of the best I have had. It was super creamy and really flavorful. I just wish it was a tad bit spicier. The fire roasted corn salsa was also extremely tasty.
For dinner we both decided to build our own burger. Their BYOB menu does not have as many toppings as most other restaurants do but they do have an awesome line up of cheeses. My behemoth burger consisted of a big and juicy ground Angus chuck patty topped with goat cheese, muenster cheese, queso fundido, avocado, caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms and harissa aioli. All of these delicious toppings were sandwiched between an amazing buttery pretzel bun. This burger was not only huge but it tasted phenomenal. I loved the fact that they offer muenster cheese because not many places do. Their harissa aioli was also really tasty. It was a cross between a garlic aioli an a chipotle aioli. My burger also came along with garlic fries. 33 garlic fries were good but definitely not the best I have ever had.
The prices and service here were both wonderful. My entire bill was about (I paid for the nachos) was only about $23 dollars. The service the night we went was top notch but we were one of only 5 other patrons in the restaurant. I'm not sure if that is a good sign for a sports bar, especially when a Sunday night football game and Lakers game were on the tube.
If you live in the LB area and like watching sports, drinking beer and creating burgers with lots of cheese then I would recommend checking out 33 Degrees.Listed in: Da LBC!, Burgs are Beautiful

Thanks yelp for 25% off for checking in.. This place is like a little pub, can be a good spot to watch the game..They have tv's inside and outside... Downside is only 1 bathroom...
Happy Hour seems pretty decent 50% off appetizers and $2 off beer and drinks... I ordered the tri tip sandwich with came with a pretzel bun, and it was good, lacking some sauce though.. I thought it could've used some bbq sauce or something since the pretzel bread was thick and chewy... Along with my sandwich I ordered a side caesar salad and was disappointed to see it cost $7.95.. for a side salad???? I would've been better off ordering a full meal or full salad... Not sure I will return bc the inside ambiance didn't attract me much... It was small, had only 1 bathroom and had a dirty rag smell inside... Service was good..
