What bad can be said about a place that has $2 games during the middle of the week and doesn't have that disgusting cigarette smell left over from 1996? I'm used to city prices of paying at least $10 for a game.

4 of us bowled, 1 drink, 1 order sweet potato fries and some not so great dessert thing was $40. How can you beat that? You can't!

BTW we first went to Commack bowl as it was more centrally located for all of us to meet up but they had a 3 HOUR WAIT!!!!(????) On a Tuesday! And it smelled like an old shoe...used as an ashtray.

Overall 300 is the nicest bowling alley ive been to on Long Island.

My hubby and I went here today and while we had fun, we were pretty shocked by the bill. We were there for around 30 minutes, and I know that for certain because the bill tells you when they set you up and when they closed you out. We each had 1 beer and bowled. The tab came to $45. That is pretty nuts for 2 people and only 30 minutes of fun. While it is nice inside, we'd rather just go to an older bowling ally next time where we can spend less and have a longer experience.

Last night was the 2nd time I visited 300 (first time was in February).  Both times I've been very pleased with everything & have to say that it's the nicest bowling alley I've ever been to. It's been completely refurbished so you feel like you're in 2011, not in 1971. It smells nice & clean, and looks like a regular bar that happens to have bowling lanes lining the sides (square bar in the middle with full bar & bartender, pool table, high boy tables to sit & drink at, leather club chairs to relax in). There is also a private bowling alley towards the back with its own bar, which would be fun for parties if that's your thing.

Service: both times was very friendly, couldn't do enough for us - and last night we even used a Groupon to pay!  Monday nights are an excellent deal: $10 per person gets you shoe rental and unlimited play all night long.  Considering how ridiculously expensive bowling has become across the entire country (I've bowled from Maine to AZ in the past year, and it's stupid expensive even at the dumpy places), 300 offers some great deals (Monday $10, Ladies Nite, College Nite, Kids bowl free in summer, etc.).

Drinks: they have happy hour specials that are so good we'd consider coming here just to drink.  On a Monday night they had $1 off mojitos and $3 domestic drafts. When we came in February they had BOGO on well drinks and I scarfed those rum & cokes down.

Food: Wow - this is not your mother's bowling alley food! Last nite we had Thai Chili chicken wings that were meaty, crispy, with a light sweet-spicy sauce. One of the best wings we've had in a long time (and my hubby knows wings!) - surprising!  Flatbread pizza with assorted white cheeses, spinach, and eggplant was deee-licious. Thai spring roll was decent enough, as was the chicken and bacon sandwich & the fries were amazing.  In February we had the large nacho platter and it was VERY good - plentiful portion of chips with lots of toppings on it.  Most snacks average around $10 with some entrees nearing $15.  For the summer they offer entree salads & wraps as a healthier option.  The guys at the lane next to us got the sampler platter which had short ribs, onion rings, quesadillas, etc and it looked/smelled awesome (and they looked happy eating it).

Music/Lights: while the videos playing on the screens situated just above the pins you're aiming at can be a little distracting, it also adds an air of fun, esp when you're not the one bowling.  When we went last night they were playing 80's tunes and videos, which was fun, and the music wasn't too loud.  When we went in February they were playing music and songs that seemed to be B-side teeny bopper music but that just made us laugh harder. The lighting was soft, not harsh, but not black with lasers either.

Bottom Line:  If you have to (or want to) go bowling, this is a modern, clean establishment with friendly service, better food than other alleys & great pricing if  you go on the right nights.  Go!

I probably go bowling about once per year and I guess it was time to get my annual trip to the alley out of the way. I've lived in Huntington for a long time but this was my first visit to 300, which is tucked away behind a small strip mall next to Bertucci's on Rt 110.

I came here on a work function with about 30 other coworkers and we had a private spot in the Back 9 (even though the rest of the alley was empty), where a lot of top 40 music was playing [loudly], and after 2.5 hours, it loops. We had an open bar and a buffet dinner, which was made of up a Caesar salad drenched in dressing, some italian anti-pasta, linguini in a white sauce, ziti, grilled chicken, and sausage and peppers. Everything was overcooked and/or bland. What do you expect from a bowling alley?

I was actually impressed with the quality of service and the equipment. Although you don't get to pick your own ball, the ones they give you are alright. They also let you measure how big finger holes you need. The shoes are also not old and gross. The place looks pretty well kept. I would recommend this place to others, although I don't know how much a game and rentals costs...

I thought this place was really cool with clean facilities, attentive servers, great drinks (martini's while bowling? Cool!!!!!)  and good finger food to have....

The place has a separate/private area for party groups where they can have drinks, fun and be as loud as they want to be without disturbing other patrons.

    Here is the price list:

    Bowling (per person, per game)

    Daytime - before 5 pm - Monday - Friday:  $4.00
    Saturday - Sunday & Holidays:  $5.00

Evening - after 5 pm on Sunday - Thursday:  $5.00
    Friday - Saturday :  $7.00

Shoe Rentals (Adults, Children & Seniors):  $4.50

This is pretty much average for the other bowling lanes I've been to, so I don't know why people complaint about the prices....  If anything, what could make it more expensive is ordering drinks and food; if you order any.

This is a great place to have some fun with friends, while enjoying the music, dancing a little while bowling and enjoy the good food and drinks.

4 stars if ur a fan of upscale bowling ( yes, there is such a thing)
weekend nights are great if u want to hear DJ & loud music...
Week nights are great if u want reduced price w/ no crowd.
Def one of the best bowling alleys by far.. Moderate (pay for bowl & shoes)   Pricey ( if  ur party starts to purchase food & alcoholic drinks).
Ur paying for what u get...
Really CLEAN: Grt lanes, rental shoes, Neon/ background lighting, grt score keeping screens above (A+) & large screens all above the walls right above the pins... playing music videos... Bar service... Decent size menu for Food/cocktails.
I'm not a bowler but this place is cool to chill w friends or family!! I don't think u can compare w any other chain amf lanes in the long island area...
Only one close to this facility is the one in New Hyde Park - STRIKE ( now closed)
Grt place to throw private parties & fundraiser but I'm sure it's a bit more pricey than the typical bowling alleys w the poor lighting, musty smelling rentals shoes w torn laces, horrible bar food etc... ( or have they changed from the lanes I remember going to as a child)?? Hmmm

I went to 300 this past Saturday night for my friend's birthday and it was actually fun! As promised, I did not bowl because it was sooo expensive the last time. I later found out that when you have a bigger group, it's actually cheaper. We had 8 people bowling in one lane and each game, including shoes, was $7. Now $7 is actually reasonable. The last time I went it was $12 which is just plain ridiculous.

This time around the place was packed with people, the music was good, and they had my Georgia Bulldogs on the big screen. It was so much better than the first time I went.

Conclusion: Go to 300 on Saturday night with a big party. If you're just looking for some low-key, cheap bowling with a couple of friends, go elsewhere.

I went here on a date-ish thing recently.

300 is still terrible. And now, they have a burly, leather jacket-clad bouncer handing out wristbands for the 21+ crowd.

My update: 300, like the movie, sucks.

Let me begin with this,i hate bowling, I had the misfortune if bring dragged to this place more times than I would care to admit, the music is far to loud and the music sucks "gangsta rap" and "bubble gum poppy crap,"and the best part, to top off the gangsta atmosphere no lights (great for bowling) and lazers everywhere. As for the dining; drinks are expensive, food is expensive, and surprise! It sucked. The service was very good though, the waiters and waitresses were quite nice, but its not worth going to this terrible place for some nice service. Avoid this hole if you can.

Beautiful squirrels, all over the world

Came here for a company event and I cannot justifiably echo the sentiments of the masses (though I obviously acknowledge taht the experiences aren't comparable, as none of my own funds were rendered at any point). The tunes were rap-heavy in the Back 9, as we were sequestered from the general public yet couldn't get the music videos playing above our incessant "Welcome" banner to cease. We hung onto our shoes and used some tickets to snag beverages, and the staff that assisted throughout the night was friendly, understanding, and competent, especially so as the night progressed and folks got a bit more inebriated. The food, unfortunately but expectedly, was meh at best, including what were undeniably some thawed slices of Cheesecake Factory (freezer aisle Original variety) topped with Reddi-Wip. This all being said, I'm not positive I'd make the trek here unless the stars aligned and/or I was coerced 'cause, quite frankly, I'm a consistently inconsistent bowler with feet of a size that make requesting shoes from a teenage girl supremely uncomfortable.

No doubt a very nice bowling alley. But I spent 20 dollars for two games here on Saturday night! Entirely too expensive for an activity as simple as bowling.

Plus, the place seemed way too empty for a bowling alley on a Saturday night. I know we are in a recession and all, but you would think that this "cheap" form of entertainment would be recession-proof. I guess not. I felt very awkward being there, since there were maybe 8 other parties in the entire place. I can only imagine what it must be like during off-peak hours. The employees must outnumber the customers. :(

High class service but WAY too expensive.  The game of bowling doesn't need high class service.
