I love the concept of bowling while having a few cocktails with your friends. This bowling alley is HUGE, and it's more modern than the other alleys I have been to. Although I suck at bowling, I still love to bowl, and this is a great place for a group of friends although it GETS REALLY PACKED during the weekend. I went during the weekday in the afternoon, it was empty, but it was fun. They have private rooms for parties, and they play all kinds of music. Not sure where to take your kids, take them here. The food served is bar food, but it's pretty good. The drinks are pretty good too, but if you drink/bowl for a few hours, be prepared to pay $$$$ at the end.

So, it's a bowling alley in Addison.
Yeah, and it's all swank and whatever. We showed up on a Sunday and it was all pretty and black lighted out and overall cool looking. Then we couldn't find a counter with people willing to give us a lane. Someone eventually showed up, assigned us a lane, and went to parts unknown before getting shoes for my friend and me. Eventually, someone else showed up to give us shoes after I started pawing through the big pile of returned ones.
The lanes are nice, I'll give 'em that. And I bowled well, and the music was fun and we had a good time. But for some reason, the shoes I paid $4.50 for looked and felt a lot like shoes I've rented for $2.50 at other bowling alleys. Shocking, right? We got in on the $20 unlimited late night bowling thing, which I guess was a good deal for three games. However, the usual $5 or so a game rate is just outrageous. I don't care how nice the lanes are.
We had some food and drinks also. The wine I had was good but overpriced. They have a large food menu and we got a bit o' nachos and a bit o' summer rolls. Both were overpriced and kind of subpar. My friend tried to purchase various fruity alcoholic beverages and they were out of about half the ingredients. Really?
After bowling, we spent a bit of time in the rather meager game room. They did have DDR X2, of which I highly approve, but otherwise it was kind of slim pickins, and do you really want me to pay $1 for every game, including the lame ticket ones? Weird.
So basically, when I want to go bowling in the Dallas area in the future, I will not drive all the way up to Addison to be ripped off. -

So apparently 300 Dallas is the nicer option as compared to the remote older bowling alleys like in Plano. After going to 300 for the first time in a couple years, I can honestly say its better to go to those remote older bowling alleys in Plano. At least you don't have high expectations there for the money you're paying.
300 has unattentive and apathetic service. We had to get a new tablecloth v because it was dirty as we were waiting for our waiter...who we also had to flag back down to make an order for food. He was not friendly. We tried to buy socks and they said they have been out of them for 2 weeks. You would think this is something they should have...or would try to get.
The shoes and ball guy was too busy watching football to help us and it was really crowded at each lane. Don't waste your $$ here..find another bowling alley where at least its cheaper for the same service. The "nicer" bowling alley is just smoke and mirrors..in reality, it's just like any other 20 year old bowling alley except they charge you more. It was like going to Fun Fest with new carpet and no laser tag. Also, the food was just a greasy mess (which is good, but again, not at the price). -

Eh, I don't really know what to say about 300 Dallas because I was a walking zombie that night. Lol. I came here on a Tuesday night already tired because my date didn't get off work until 8pm, so the earliest he could come was 9:30pm.
Monday and Tuesday nights are the best deals; $15 for unlimited games including the shoes.
I've been to the one in New York, and it seems to me that pretty much all 300 bowling alleys nationwide are just trying to give that cool vibe where you can also dance and bowl. Lol. So I guess it's like a bowling club/bar? The crowd is no different from what I see at Sherlock's, Blackfinn, The Social House, and all the other popular hot spots in Addison.
All in all, it was an ok experience. I think the only positive ones were that my date and I had fun AND surprisingly this place was also a great for people-watching oddly enough. Lol. -

Nice place and surprisingly good food for a bowling alley. Service seemed a bit shorthanded, but good. can be suspect though and on my only visit there were several malfunctions with the computer system. The manager did give us a free game though.

Bowling has never been more fun!!!
I went out last night with a couple of lady friends. None of us have bowled a single game in the last ten years and I tell you what, it didn't matter one bit. This place is the nightclub of bowling. It was $15 dollars a person on Monday night for all the bowling you can handle. At first I was skeptical that the three of us would play the three games necessary to make it worth our while but games go by fast, especially when they offer $3 Gin and tonics and a waiter to bring them. How spectacular is that?!
We even had them put up bumpers for the heck of it and it just made the games that much more interesting and fun.
Like I said, I haven't bowled in years but I can tell you with great certainty this place makes me want to go back for more. -

"Trendy" bowling alley, sometimes cheap games, very expensive drinks. Very much bait and switch feel because they get you in the door with cheap games, then rape you with the drink prices. You've been warned!

Mtv meets bowling. And it ain't cheap.
Came here to celebrate a birthday on a Friday night. The ambiance is much classier than your typical alley.
We had a couple rounds of shots and some other miscellaneous mixed drinks. I ordered a veggie pizza and for the price I would have expected fresh spinach, not frozen (I Would have preferred Domino's). We only had 4 people playing two games and our bill was almost $200.
We had fun but the experience was a way too heavy on our wallets. If I lived in Dallas, I would probably only go back on Mondays or Tuesdays when they offer Unlimited Bowling for $15. -

I love the concept of a fancy bowling alley, but 300 has failed me with there terrible food and expensive drink prices. The price for bowling and shoes are okay, but still high in my opinion, but then again there lanes are clean and the whole place is in good conditions unlike your typical bowling alley. Lets talk about the food, way overprice and the portions are completely small and the mushroom burger I had was disgusting. I think the mushroom sauce was the issue, do not order that, but than again don't ever order burgers at a bowling alley. The pizza i the only bright spot and it is freaking huge which is a good thing if you are sharing pizzas. I just wish you can do a personal pizza or have sizes for the pizza. The service is decent and nothing to ever remember about.
I would recommend everyone to sign up for the email club on there website, you get a 20 dollar coupon to use on games and shoes. -

This is the first place I've ever been to that has football games that go on and music videos while you bowl, while you eat and bowl at the same time. It's great cause they serve alcohol as well which makes the experience all the more fun.

Each time I go to this place I swear to myself I will not be talked into coming back. But then I'll be in Addison with some friends that want to bowl and I protest and suggest it's worth driving out of our way but eventually I fold, like a wallet.
Probably my least favorite thing about this place is the prices. I think it's $5 per game on weekdays and $7 on weekends. That's $3-5 more than some places and it adds up fast..
Oh, you charge more because you are going to provide me with a more upscale bowling experience? So you gave me a server. You're so state of the art that you gave me a server with a headset! You have the technology to do that but you can't split the checks more than 2 ways?? Seriously, this place will not split the bill more than 2 ways. Highly inconvenient. Not only that, the servers aren't that attentive from my own experience.
Making matters worst is I don't think the lanes are kept in very good condition, but I realize this will only matter to regular bowlers. Dirty balls are a part of bowling but no where else has my ball collected so much grime (friends agree). Try throwing down some oil every once in a while.
It gets worse, still. The beer. Every single time I have gotten a draft beer it has been flat. I don't know if they need to clean some lines back there or just sell more beer to keep it fresh but something isn't going well. Also, they don't sell pitchers. This is a bowling alley where you can not bowl with a pitcher of beer. Just as well I suppose as you'll be wanting to stick with the bottled beer.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned and can't appreciate "classy" bowling. I'll admit I do prefer my bowling alleys to be cheap. You should be able to look around the place and see a group of retired guys working on their hook, and a group of teens bowling and talking about the Jonas Brothers, or whatever teens talk about. Oh, and of course you'll have the smooth operator teaching his date how to bowl by standing behind her and moving her arm through the motions, AC Slater style! All while drinking PITCHERS of beer, except those damn pesky teens.
Try USA bowl or Plano Super Bowl for a better experience.
I don't like you 300, and I'm never going back. I hope. -

Oh man, I haven't been bowling in forever so I was super pumped to come here and check it out. The first thing I liked was that the loud music playing also had the video playing on the screen. What is it with me and the videos playing at the bars? I don't know but I love it...especially when a little old school Poison comes on so I can lust over a young Bret Michaels (but not too much, hate to scare my date off at the start of the evening...I try and do that later on after I've gotten a few free drinks in me HAHA).
There was an hour wait for a lane, so we played some pool. The tables were alright although my game was not so much. The patrons in this area were all polite and we shared our table with some others so they could put their drinks down. Then we finally got the announcement that the lane was open. While my friend was paying the tab, I decided to pay for our pool game. The kid working that desk was no older than 16 and was in some sort of snotty kid daze or something. I actually waved my money in front of his face and said "Hellooooo! Yooohooo?!" He then says to me "do you want change or something?" I looked at him with a look of astonishment mixed with amusement...like really dude, are you that clueless? The manager was right there though and she jumped in and said "She wants to PAY for it!" She was awesome though, and she saved him from getting a smartass comment from me.
FINALLY the bowling! They of course put us beside one family with older kids and another family with little bitty kids. No problem except that when things go badly - like my bowling game - I tend to spew cusswords like a drunken sailor. I tried to keep it to ones that you can say on TV but I fear a couple of F bombs may have slipped out and marred the ears of the little ones at least a couple of times. Oh well, they've heard it before I am sure. Our waitress was actually very attentive. As soon as the last sip of beer went into my mouth, she was there asking if we needed another...yes please! My game, well, the second one was the best, but regardless of the loss of two out of three games, I still had a blast.
So overall, even though I prefer a more redneck rough type of bowling alley, I am down with the more upscale bowling thing...it was fun and I would go back. Actually I want to go back soon so I can practice and have a rematch!!Listed in: So you wanna take me on a…, Boozy Workouts

It's not often I yelp something in retaliation of a recently posted review, but when I saw the last review on 300 I felt compelled to give my 2 cents.
I have been several times, always with a pretty large group, and I think this place is great- for a bowling alley.
Sorry it's "expensive" (really??) but I'll gladly pay the extra dollar to not have to see some beer bellied man scratching his ass crack right before shoving his hairy fingers into the ball that I may be renting next time I come.
I've had a lot of the food, our last party had a buffet and they had typical bar food - pizza, chicken tenders, chips and salsa, etc and everything was above average - especially considering...ITS A BOWLING ALLEY.
If you want a clean place to have a few drinks and a good time, check it out. It's in a nice area (when's the last time you saw a bowling alley on a major thoroughfare? usually you have to head on down to the skanky side of town to get your gutterball on) and the clientele is a little higher end. Dont get me wrong, I do enjoy the BYOB bowling alley in Mesquite on occasion, but I also know that when I'm there it's going to be like an episode of COPS with a kids birthday party mixed in, complete with a mom trying to bust a pinata while smoking a capri with 4" fake nails. It's all about what you're in the mood for!
Shake them haters off and put on your cool bowling shoes for a good time in the 972. -

I tried this location on a date one night. We definitely had fun, though it seemed a bit pricey. Granted, the crowd is different here than at your typical bowling alley, so it may be worth the money to some.
We started our evening with a few rounds of bowling. I was pleased to find out that we had our own waiter for our lane - how conveinent! However, he quickly became uninterested after we informed him we weren't having food that night. Based on his reaction and his absence, we didn't order drinks either. His loss, I suppose, but it was still annoying. The lanes were well maintained and clean and there was a large selection of balls *giggle* to choose from. Nothing worse than dirty lanes and old, chipped balls *giggle*
After we wore ourselves out with bowling, we hit the arcade games. Because what is a good date without a ton of competitive activities? Most of the games looked relatively new, so that was encouraging. I'd have been more pleased if I hadn't gotten my butt stomped in air hockey, but my ego is still bruised from the thrasing.
If the prices were a little cheaper, I'd probably frequent this place more often. It is still a fun place to hang out and bowl or just grab a drink!Listed in: Rainy Day Hideaways

I just don't like this place - the reason is: the attitude. It reminds me of when I would go shop at Waterloo Records in Austin. The arrogance is so thick you have to move it out of the way like cobwebs.
The bartender was an A-A-A-S-S-S. You get the idea. Um, hey dude - you don't MAKE the beer, you SERVE the beer.
And what is the deal with the ultra chic club inside the bowling alley. Really? You can't find anywhere else to go...but to a club in a bowling alley.
I do have to admit, once you get past all that crap -the bowling is fun. I like the black-light bowling. The music was great - I love the variety they had. I dunno, maybe I'm just accustomed to the old school feel of a nasty bowling alley.
We threw down $80 that night - for two people (and we didn't eat). Make your own judgement. -

My husband had first gone to 300 with work and they had a pretty good time so we decided to check it out for just the two of us. It's a nice looking place, very snazzy and clean for a bowling alley. You walk up to a front desk clerk, and they ask you for your names to set up your lane. My husband specified my name is B-R-A-N-D-I and the girl at the counter still spelled it with a Y. That is attentiveness for you! Then we headed over and got our shoes and balls from the girl at that counter.
We headed to our lane and put on our super snazzy shoes and we had a waiter come over and introduce himself and ask for drink orders. They only serve Pepsi products. Who drinks Pepsi products anymore? I want some damn Diet Coke. And no, Diet Pepsi is NOT okay, because it tastes like battery acid. Or what I assume battery acid to taste like. Anyhow.
We bowled. Nothing I can say about that, except boy do I suck. Then, a big party came in, some work functions, and in a totally empty bowling alley, they stick them two lanes away from us. They were, of course, hooting and hollaring in a loud and obnoxious fashion. That's fine and all, but WHY stick them next to us? Again.. must be lazy waiter syndrome :P
What sticks out to me about 300 is that the idea of a swanky full service bowling alley is cool, but they are missing the mark. The primary thing is that in order to HAVE full service, you need to have GOOD service. The waiter was probably the friendliest person there and he wasn't all that great. The counter girls need an attitude overhaul. Service with a smile, ever heard of it? You work in a bowling alley, Princess, you need to get over yourself.
I wouldn't mind coming back to 300 with some friends, because it's pretty cool looking.. but I definitely feel they are missing the mark in what they're really trying to achieve. -

Joe B.'s birthday festivities part deuce was held here as a treat from a couple of friends since they know I like bowling.
Before our group got a couple lanes, we had a few beers and drinks in the lounge area. Drink prices seemed okay for a nice place like 300. Does anyone know if they have a cheaper happy hour? The lounge area had some pretty comfortable chairs and the view of all the big media screens was nice. If someone's fat ass gets in the way of your view, shift your view another 15 degrees and you see your game/music videos again. Problem solved! Even though we were just chill'n here and ordering at the bar we had the occasional checking-in on us from a server.
As we finally got to our lanes a few of us order more drinks and food. The server at our lanes was almost non-existent. We had to flag him down whenever we wanted anything.
The lanes were nice, but I think the oil pattern is a little different than that of where I normally go to bowl (USA Bowl). It took awhile to adjust and my bowling average here was about 40 points lower than usual. Doh!
If drink prices were cheaper, then I think it would justify me bowling here at their $5-7/game rate more often. All in all, 300 is a nice clean place to bowl or just hangout. -

I' ve been to a good deal of bowling alleys and the one thing that 300 offers is an air of "fine" bowling so to speak. The place is nicely designed. It has all the essentials - the bar, the pool area, the bowling alleys and of course the arcade.
When you walk in you have to go to the center desk and pay.
$4 per game per person
$4 for shoes
This is the day time fee
Off to the right is where you get your shoes and bowling ball. It's nice to not have to walk around looking for the right weight and size. I think this is better for bowling alleys because it has a better loss prevention strategy.
The lanes are nice and you have huge projects to look at. One always plays a music video, another plays the news, and another plays everything else. The pattern continues so on.
I think the seating is one of the nicer features. Usually, bowling alleys have seating arranged so that lane "A" and lane "B" are next to each other but seating "A" is closer and seating "B" is put in the back. Its annoying. 300 has nice cushioned chairs that have it where both seating areas are next to their assigned lanes. What a luxury!
Bowling there is fun. The lanes are slick and the graphics for when they tell you get a strike is pretty cool. I like when they say "X X chances missed" when you're attempting a t urkey =)
Overall, pricey and the reason why bowling alleys are so great is the atmosphere of cheapness. YET 300 is a good go to place for a date that you're trying to make a good impression on or even just to have fun celebrating your one year anniversary. -

Not your regular smoke filled, wife beater wearing men, hair-sprayed & teased women type of bowling establishment.
It's cool that they wanna make bowling a little classier...but their methodology is kinda creepy..weird..something. You walk in and reserve a lane with a credit card, but you don't actually pay until later, they figure out how many people you have an shoe sizes etc.
That same employee then walks you to another station where another guy gets your shoes and balls for you, the first employee is still standing there making sure you get your stuff.
Then she walks you over to your lane, and types in all of your names and sets up your lane for you, while you and your party awkwardly stand there.
Finally you can start bowling...
a waiter will come by, but if you don't order right then, you may never be able to find them again!! When you buzz the front, they send someone over just to say "oh we need to get your lane captain on this!"
haha, it's trying to be really service oriented, but the service really isn't that great.
It's clean, and the music is really good! :) music that makes girls wanna dance...!!
all we ate were the garlic fries..they don't have good ranch dressing though, tastes like low fat. ew. -

Now it's called 300. They have pool tables, bowling, video games and miniature golf under black lights. Bowling is the main draw and I've gone there several times for that. Food is ok. They do have a large area of chairs of sofas so it's not a bad place to go to hang out with friends. The music isn't too loud. They turn on black lights in the evening for kind of a trendy atmosphere. Large screens above the lanes show music videos. It's a good place to go for bowling.
Biggest problems is that it can get really busy on Friday and Saturday nights so you have a long wait for a lane. Service can be very slow. They'll come to your lane for drink and food orders, but there is no way to call them. They seem to disappear when you want to order food or drinks need to be refilled. -

I have mixed feelings about this place. First of, I think the place looked really nice and had a lot of fun things to do. Yet, if you are a serious bowler (I kinda am), it is very hard to appreciate the horrible lanes here! The lanes "seemed" to be shorter than standard lanes... and they are not very well kept or oiled. I think maybe because it's not meant to cater to serious bowlers, which will likely go to AMF or some other place anyway.
Over all, I still liked the place and how nice it was inside. Just expensive & not for a serious bowler at all. If you're looking for an all around, fun night to do many fun things with friends (not only for bowling), I think you'll like it. -

Great, clean, fun bowling venue in Addison. This place is great if you live in Addison because there are no bowling alleys within 5 or 6 miles. They have good lighting as well as sports playing and music with music videos. Pricing is about average if you sign up for their coupons but full fare can get expensive. $3 beer and well drink happy hour 4 - 7 which is great. Only drawback is their service at your table is pretty slow. We've had to find our waiter to order food and drinks which you shouldn't have to do. Overall this place has it all but could do a little better in some areas.

Modern twist to the normal bowling alley concept.
Its big, clean, updated and they have everything. They even have private area to host your own parties that includes 2 of it's own alleys. Straighforward pricing makes it easy to decide costs and they have no issues splitting the bill for groups.
They play decent music (family orineted) and filled with disco lights and projector screens.
If you are tired of the same, run down alley/pool hall and want a change. Go here. -

I'd rather be here than Chuck-E-Cheese. Altho Chuck arcade games are cheaper & the fruits of your labor result in tickets & prizes, I'd still would rather be here. There was a surprise party for a friend of ours in the private room which had private alleys, billiard table & bar which was really nice. So if you're looking for a place to have fun for you & the kids, this is a pretty cool place.

Went early on Saturday night for drinks, bowling and food. I expected it to be more expensive than the dirty, smokey bowling alleys of the past (which I love!) but this was even more than I expected. $5 for a game, $7 during prime time (weekend evenings, etc) plus $4.50 for shoes. That's per person.
Large menu with lots of food and drink options that looked good. I had the burger which was actually super delicious! $9 - not bad. Domestic drafts were $4 - bad. They only serve Pepsi products which makes me sad.
Our server was good but dividing our own check was a pain in the... well, you get my point. When he said "I'll separate it however you'd like" I thought he meant in advance, not I'll run 4 credit cards for whatever amount you tell me. Math after many beers is difficult!
One last point - despite the place not being full at all, they placed another party of 4 in the lane RIGHT NEXT TO US. You know how you 'share' a table with one lane? Yeah, THAT lane. So 4 girls had to shift purses, jackets, shoes/boots (we have a lot of cargo!) to one booth/the floor. When I asked our server why they had to be THISCLOSE, he said they were expecting some big parties. Hmmm... we are all expecting things buddy but should you inconvenience those already there for the comfort of those you are expecting?! We finished that game and left with lots of empty lanes that looked very lonely... ;) -

Hmm I just can't decide about this place.. I've been here at least five times and it's a different experience every time but I'm not gonna say I've never had fun here cause then id be a liar hence the three stars but its pretty much a bowling alley trying to be a bar trying to be a club with really really overpriced food games and drinks with only half shots in them...:( I went a couple of weeks ago with my boyfriend cause we wanted to try a new spot since we usually go to the AMF In Richardson which Is my favorite and I will be going back very soon to make up for the time I lost bowling at 300..anyways we got outta there with a $180 tab!!!! Are you kidding me? That's like 13 pitchers of beer at AMF!?!! We had two beers two mixed drinks and an appetizer! Ridiculous! Let's just say I prolly won't be going back anytime soon...really not worth it cause it's always crowded and totally overpriced!! Booo!
