I celebrated my 25th birthday at 300 on a Saturday night and let me tell you I had a great experience!! I loved the atmosphere. We got the party pack for 16 people and it was great!! I got the chance to meet the supervisor and he was super helpful.
Only thing I would recommend to BIG parties is to have no more than 6 people per lane bowling. (The rep from 300 Robin told me to do this and I did not listen and I regret it now) but that was my fault.
The drinks are small but they're good
The food is decent
The place and staff is amazing
ENJOY!! ^_^1 Previous Review: Show all »

Overrated, expensive, but its cool.
Got a free bowling game so it was alright.
Very nice place though.
If you're willing to spend an ass load to go bowling while eating nice food and shit.
Go here i guess.

Went here with some buddies on a weekday to use "the 10 dollars all you can bowl" promotion. Upon arrival an employee said it was 15 bucks with shoes, but we all brought our own bowling shoes. She insisted that the price was 15 bucks regardless of whether you brought your own shoes or not.
I explained to her I called before-hand to verify the price and the lady on the phone confirmed the price of 10 bucks (stated clearly on the website too). Also I directed her to the stack of cards right in front of her detailing the 10 dollar bowling promotion, but was basically ignored. She claimed that the cards and the website must be wrong/outdated.
Obviously my friends and I came there to bowl so there was nothing we could do but accept the frivolous extra charges. The manager tried to smooth the situation with a free bowling game coupon, but it didn't correct the point that they were falsely advertising. It was a nice gesture by the manager though, albeit meaningless since I don't plan on returning.
Now for the actual bowling (relevant for those that actually care about the bowling aspect of the whole experience). The lane conditions are poor with unpredictable and inconsistent oil conditions. In particular for those that like to hook the ball, good luck because the ball will do whatever it wants on these lanes. You are pretty much forced into throwing a straight ball. The pins also react funny and inconsistently, probably because they are special glow in the dark ones made of a different material.
Too-long-didn't-read version!:
- misleading promotions
- pricy (19 bucks for nachos?!, nuff said)
- not good if you actually came for the bowling aspect of it (crap lanes/pins)
- might be a good place to chill with friends over some happy hour beers? -

Just had my husbands birthday here, was a little over priced for their packages but we still had a lot of fun and Maurice the Sales Manager was very helpful with my planning of my husbands party. We had a really good waiter(can't remember his name) and was very accommodating and nice. Will definatly would come here again especially on the cheap bowling nights during the week.

This is a very cool spot to hang out at. They have many open bowling lanes with large screens for music videos. Great place to bring a group; however make sure you eat before you come. The food was horrible!!! We ordered a pizza and was not very good. The food was not fresh at all and it was way over priced. If you want to bowl and have good food and beer stick with Concourse Bowling in Anaheim.
I would rate 300 bowling ally a 4 star for the location and atmosphere. Although the food would get a 1 star. Over all I give them a 2.5 star. -
Review from Val M.
I came here for a graduation party over the weekend and had a great time. It was similar to Lucky Strike, but without all of the pretentiousness. The food was pretty good and the staff was attentive. We did have to keep asking the staff for more cups or extra items....I think I may be a little sensitive to those types of things because I am an event planner by trade... but overall things went pretty well.
I liked how the atmosphere is great for parties. I didn't even bowl because I was too busy talking and there was ample seating to bowl or eat or just hang out. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, so I'm interested to see what it is like at night. It is difficult to find as it is hidden in the Garden Walk plaza. So. if you are driving there off off of Katella turn right into the structure as soon as you see McCormick and Schmicks. Parking was free with validation, the venue was clean and had a nice new, trendy feel....I'm thinking about having my birthday there :)Comment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 1/30/2012

I feel like this place is being cheap with their ac. It gets ridiculously hot sometimes and it's not fun to bowl when it's warm. I thought it was only me, but I was wrong they need to turn up their ac!!! Same music over and over... food is pretty good for a bowling alley.

Anaheim, CA
My wife and I went in on a Wednesday. The place was quiet and out of all the lanes 4 of them were being used so quite slow. Getting our balls and shoes was easy, no problem. Bowling was great and the atmosphere was fun.
The waiter servicing our area however, was terrible. We ordered a couple of drinks and when we were served I asked for sugar, my waiter went to get it or so I assumed and after about ten minutes I noticed him standing by a table watching everyone bowl. I got his attention and asked again for the sugar which he then promptly got. We then placed our order and got a pepperoni pizza ($17) and it came about 20 minutes later and it was disgusting. I didn't expect to pay so much for pizza from a gas station. I'm not trying to be rude or flippant, but the pizza was flavorless, crust was bland and the pepperoni tasted like ham. An absolute rip off. For such an upscale menu (as menu prices suggest) I expected something on par with CPK or Naples. Not the case.
Back to the waiter, so he asks if we need anything and I asked for another drink. I waited ten minutes and it never came. I look for my waiter and he was again just standing over by a table! I swear this guy was high or having a real bad day and had way too much on his mind to be at work. At this point we had finished bowling so I paid our ticket and left.
I will try 300 again because the atmosphere was great and I enjoyed bowling with my wife. Its a bit pricey for bowling & shoes but your in a nice area with abundant parking so thats whats up with that. The food was just way way overpriced for what it was and the service was horrible with my waiter. -

This place reminds me of lucky strike - bowling and boozing. A combo that I think works well together like peanut butter and jelly. They play funny music video mash-ups and the ambiance is pretty trendy. My only complaint was their lack of organization at the register for us to pay our bill.

300's the kind of joint you'd expect to see Al Bundy and Homer Simpson, posted up at a booth, hands down their pants and wearing matching shirts that read, "Pin Pals." OK... maybe not hands down the pants, but you get the idea.
This place is clean, with "hip" decor and keeps a lively atmosphere and attentive staff. While on the expensive side, you realize that you pay the premium for adult themed bowling. -

Shoes = $10
Drinks = $44
3 Games = $49
The look on my face when I saw the bill = PRICELESS.
A Friday night out with my Girl and we decided to stop by and enjoy some bowling. It was my first time here and I was impressed with the atmosphere and interior. I noticed it was $8.25 a game so I thought to myself that's not too bad we'll play 2 to 3 games. Prices weren't listed on the menu for drinks but hey they can't cost too much, right? We played 3 games and had some drinks. When I received the bill, I could not believe it, $105, seriously? For bowling? This will be my first and last time here. 300 can be deceiving with their prices. Beware. $8.25 a game is actually per person per game. They do not display this break down. I am sure others have experience this. I read other Yelp reviews earlier and this seems to be a common issue. Getting stuck with a ridiculous bill sucks. Overall, 300 sucks bowling balls and pins.Comment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 3/24/2012

This is one of the nicest bowling alley I've ever seen. You're not likely to find "The Dude" bellied up to this bar... it has more of a club feel. That said, it also has club prices. If you're just looking for lunch and a quick game its a good deal but if you stay for a few games and dare to have an adult beverage be prepared for the bill.

Basically 300 Anaheim is a knock-off of Lucky Strike. It's over $8 a game, plus $4 for shoes. By the time you leave, you drop at least $20 not including snacks and drinks. I would say, not worth it.
The ambiance is really cool. There are several lanes, and over the lanes are giant TV screens which had ESPN and music videos. Behind the lanes are bar tables where people can eat and drink while they wait to bowl. As you enter on the right there is a small arcade with pool tables, and next to it, a bar.
My biggest issue with the bowling alley is that bowling is not trendy, and one should never spend $8 a game and $4 on shoes. We also waited about 2 hours for lanes, before we finally decided to leave. Each lane allows up to 8 bowlers and we had 10, so we had to wait for two lanes next to each other. The big problem is that you have to wait for people to leave, and if you go at the wrong time you will be wait forever just to play.
I would say this is a great place to go if you have a group of less than 8 and are ready to get drunk before you even bowl your first game. I go back and forth with this, because it's bowling, and it shouldn't be that expensive or take that long to wait for a couple of lanes.Comment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 8/2/2011

I came here to photograph an event., so this is for that and not as a patron.
For the event, yes, a High School Homecoming Dance, I found it to be a great venue for it. They had the entire establishment and it was all geared towards the kids. The things they had for the kids to do were so much better than having some Karaoke setup or Casino Tables (Always found that weird to teach kids to gamble and they are never fun for girls). All the lanes were open, lots of pastries/candy, non-alcoholic drinks and a pretty cool setup for the dance area.
I'd highly recommend this place for a school event or even a corporate event. The only thing that sucks is the parking (see my review for "Anaheim GardenWalk Parking Garage."Comment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 10/13/2011

First visit I was here with a birthday party and we had a great time. This time we were the only patrons there. The gentleman at the front was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the evening.
In my opinion, the entire place is nice. A bit classy and cool at the same time. Large screens host music videos at the end of every lane. The ambiance and colors all around blend nicely. Check out their menu for some good eats. Beware, the onion rings are huge and so was the specialty pizza. The food and drinks were pretty good for a bowling alley, and they have a wide variety of options.
I do think shoes and bowling prices are high so check their website because the prices really fluctuate depending on what day and time you attend. I used a $25 for $50 Groupon that only applied toward shoes and bowling. Order double drinks or they will probably be a bit flat. Two doubles, onion rings, Vietnamese summer rolls, and pizza ~ $80.
I would not hesitate to host a party here in the future. -

Came here on two separate occasions. Came here with a group of friends both times. The first time, we had a good experience. Music was great and atmosphere was cool. However, the second time we came, service was....rude rude rude!!! From the people in the front checking us in, to the people serving us at the ball/shoe place to the guy at the bar. I know you're busy but there's no need to be rude. You're in the service industry people.

A friend of mine and I went in there to waste some time and have a drink. Neither of us had been there before so we weren't sure what to do. We went to the "front desk" and said we wanted to bowl, Claire stated the price and asked for information of our shoe size. I went to give her my card and she continued to do what she was doing on the computer. I stood there with my card out for quite a while trying to hand it to her, I was looking at her the whole time wondering when she was going to take it. Eventually she said without looking up "you don't pay here, you pay with your server." Okaaay, so we didn't know what we were doing so we started walking away after she told us what lane we were in. She waited until we were past the desk, behind some wall before she yelled at us. I walked back and looked at her because I had no clue what she was saying and why she was yelling at us. I stood there and she said that we had to get our shoes and ball, I said where and she said "over there," and waved her hand in the general direction to the left. I walked over to the area and waited until she wandered over so she could help us. I was just so irritated because if she had given a little more eye contact and verbal communication we may have known what the heck we were supposed to do, instead it was like we were the idiots. She was just so disengaged, apathetic and uninterested that she left us to figure things out on our own.
Once we got to the lane and got our drinks and got to bowling everything was fine. The service and experience was all good except for Claire up front. Her I could of done without. -

I hung out with my coworkers and had a blast playing bowling. It's a great chance to relax and talk smack about our stupid supervisors. LoL.
It was a great opportunity for me to shoot some photography while they were so happy drinking liquor and playing bowling.
Of course, we had to go on a Saturday night after 5pm, some came filipino time, but 6 of us came early so we decided to get some drinks while we wait for the others to show up. Ordered some Thai chili wings, Raspberry drink, AMF, shots of patron, and some soda. (Soda is $3 but refills all night) http://www.yelp.com/us... http://www.yelp.com/us...
It's pretty expensive to play in the weekend nights. Weekdays were cheaper. Friday and Saturday night after 5pm was about $8.25 per person, per game and the bowling shoes about $5. But from Monday to Friday, they have Happy Hour from 6:00pm-9:00pm on $3 Beer and $3 Well drinks. Gotta love the Happy Hour.

Service wasn't all that but we didn't mind since bowling made it up and watching music videos while you bowl. They have arcades, pool tables, lots of chairs to chill with friends. Parking is free for 3 hours after validation.
I don't mind having a Yelp event here for bowling night =)Listed in: Yelptastic!, Everyday/Weekend Adventure, Hang out spots, Paparazzi Heaven

I wish I could say something nice about this place, but I was so angry by the incompetent girl answering the phone and dealing with customers that I didn't even make it to the place! The owners must not care about customer service because their choice for a first impression was incredibly rude and had no idea what she was doing. 300 is more than your average bowling alley. It's kinda like the Tavern & Bowls in SD but more kid friendly. It's a little fancy shmancy so expect the higher prices.
The last time I was here was about 2 years ago. The place looks different from what I remember. I pointed it out to bf and he totally agreed.
I like that there's a full menu and good service while bowling. Even though the atmosphere looks like they only serve drinks. Their food is pretty good and reasonably priced. I like how we had lunch and bowled in one place. Would come here again if we're in the area.
Don't forget to get your parking validated at the front after you pay. Your first 3hrs are free! -

A really nice bowling alley which looks a lot like a nightclub. Huge lights, huge screens, and a loud sound system. The service was great, the food was great, and it wasn't crazily crowded having stuffed together amongst other bowlers. In the end the only reason for a downgrade of this place is the fact that the food and the bowling seemed a little expensive but you do get what you pay for.

Good for - big birthday group party.
Prices are reasonable for the service and ambiance you get. This is a trendy, dark bowling alley with a lot of friggin' lanes.
Bowling - They reserved our shoes ahead of time and attach your names and shoe size on the shoes so when your group comes you can easily find your shoes. Nice.
Food - They also cater a little food to your group if you order food - and it's nice because they BRING it to you and set it up as a little buffet line. Self-service is perfect in between bowling. Wings are the best, order those. Pizza was just OK, not bad. Ceasar salad was good.
Parking - 3 hours w/ validation in the Garden Walk structure.
Music - They play constant music videos above the pins. Since I'm a music fan, I happen to love that.
Service - Excellent. I love hearing someone say, Mr. Bryant, here is your sandwich as they walk it up to you. Also, they're very good about cleaning and picking up finished plates. I was surprised how good their service was actually. -
Review from Julee H.
This place is like the fucking twilight zone of bowling. Seriously, going from Linbrook to 300 Anaheim blew my mind.
When you come in, they ask you to write your name(s) on a piece of paper. Then you go get your fingers sized and pick your ball weight. You get your own ball for the night. By the time you get to your lane, your names are already on the screen. Meanwhile, giant screens backdrop the lanes with music videos, the place is dark, and there are beams of light down the lanes. A server comes over and introduces himself and drop off a menu full of appetizers, pizzas, burgers, drinks, etc.
The atmosphere in this place definitely gets 5 stars - it looks modernly perfect. The food was good, the lanes were a little too oiled, service kinda lacking, but you're guaranteed not to have your score fuck up(like at Linbrook) or ever having to push 'reset.'
On an average night, this place will burn a hole in your pocket book. But if you go on one of the nights with specials, it's actually one of the cheaper alleys. For example, Monday through Wednesdays from 6pm-1am, they have unlimited bowling for $15 - SHOES INCLUDED! -

Love it. Not like I am a big bowler, I am used to places like Saddleback Lanes - no offense but its nothing like this place.
Very nice staff. I didn't know I was going bowling so I didn't have socks. They are provided ' gratis ' they are brand new and nice. Love it.
I didn't eat or drink, boring I know - but showed up on Sunday at about 2:30. Probably not even half full. I'd say all families, very very nice. I loved it, and would go again.

I came here on an off day at an off hour. So no special deals or happy hour for me. Next time I'll be smart about bowling.
We walked in and was greeted by a manager with a big attitude. He addressed us dripping with sarcasm. What made it more awkward was that he then started to belittle one of the workers there about her hours. I felt so bad for her. It's so weird to be listening in on that conversation, we were standing right in front of them. She still had to help us and tell us where to go while he was going off.
The service was prompt though. Shoes for five dollars and one of the guys really helped me with ball weights. The alley was totally empty. Again, off hours. There were two other groups there other than us. A LOT of radio Disney tunes...which I blamed for messing up my game. Damn, Miley. This place is definitely like Lucky Strikes; upscale club-like bowling alley.
I rarely bowl but I'm always down for a fun time. We played two games. I totally suck at bowling but it was a good clean fun time. Had a good laugh at sucking so much. Next time, I'll definitely come back for happy hour. I think I play better drunk.
The bowling alley is clean and well managed. Two games and shoes was less than twenty dollars. My advice: Go on nights with deals or happy hour. So much more fun then.Comment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 6/7/2011

"What do you do for recreation?"
"The Dude: Oh, the usual. I bowl. Drive around. The occasional acid flashback."
This is a far cry from The Dude's bowling alley that's for sure. There are big screen projectors on the back walls, and I found myself watching the Lakers - Suns game instead of where my ball was supposed to go. Instead of a White Russian I ordered a Sam Adam's Lager (-1 point for no craft beers) and it was in one of those giant 24oz beer glasses (+1 point). The bar staff was good at circulating throughout the joint and we never felt neglected.
Overall the alley was clean, inviting, and not too crowded. The staff was helpful and polite. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, and it just felt like whoever owns this place is trying hard to establish a good reputation.
We went for $15 unlimited bowling 6PM-midnight, including shoes, on Thursday night. A good time was had by all and for a good price.
Tip: Make sure you take your parking ticket to get validated at the front desk. It ended up being free for ~5 hours of parking in the Gardenwalk structure.
Also one caveat: this really is not the type of bowling alley intended for youngsters. It doesn't have a family atmosphere (it is more of a club vibe with the ambient music and low lighting.) Please take junior to Brunswick Bowl and leave this place for grown ups night out.Comment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 1/24/2011

Before I start I need to mention that I found this place on Yelp. So before I arrived, I started to think....could this be that perfect bowling ally that I have always dreamed of, but no way in hell could ever exist? It had pretty good reviews so I was pretty excited to try this place out.
Let me tell you this place rocks! It was everything I could ask for in a bowling spot! Once you step in you are blown away by the look of this place. Let me explain at at the end of the ally contains a huge projector screen playing sports. Along with the huge screen are smaller screens playing music videos. They also have a full bar that serves decent food and drinks. 300 Anaheim has a few pool tables that can be rented by the hour. I love how you walk up to a counter and order your own bowling bowl. Yep that means no longer looking for a bowl and settling for a ball that is 6lb heavier then you should be bowling with. Did I mention that this place was not to expensive? This place is like " lucky strike" without the strict dress code and club vibe. Way cooler then any other bowling ally. So at the end of the evening this place did not disappoint.
Huge Projector Screen
Full Bar
Ball Service
Decent Food
Pool Tables
Waiters (so no need to leave your lane)
PS They have a happy hour!

Granting this place ONE star is generous. 300 Anaheim sucks; it's over priced, has horrible customer service, and totally empty on a Saturday night.
Came here around 9:30pm on a Saturday night to bowl. Checked in with the front desk girl who was rude, soft spoken, and doesn't like to make eye contact. She said we were on the wait list, the obvious follow up question was, "how long is the wait?" Her response was, "I can't give you an estimate..." OKAYYYYY... So we get drinks at the bar, walk towards the bowling alleys only to find they were COMPLETELY EMPTY! OKAYYYYY... So maybe people had already reserved lanes... After an hour wait the lanes were still empty.........................................
300 Anaheim was such a horrible experience, I don't want to waste my energy getting mad by reliving the experience there. Just take my word for it, this place S-U-C-K-S. -

People generally tell me that I have a 5-star bias, that I will give a good review to almost any place that I go because I am easily amused. With that said, this place is pretty horrible. I didn't enjoy my experience here too much.
Everything was just a little overdone. The lighting...the gigantic screens playing old/new top 40s was distracting while I was bowling. Overpriced bar, horrible service...just not that fun. The staff didn't take a card from us to start a tab, instead they came up to our lane every 10 minutes asking if we were done or ready to close out the tab...it would have been a lot nicer to just ask for a card from the beginning so they could let us enjoy our game.
Nothing about this place is worth coming back for. Seriously, I came here to bowl and have a couple drinks...was that so much to ask? I would stick to a normal bowling alley with normally priced drinks, no wait, and no pretentiousness. A normal bowling alley may not be great, but at least it doesn't pretend to be something its not. Sorry 300...never going back to see you again. -

- Expensive to bowl on the weekend, $8.95 a game/person after 5pm. Although they have different deals depending on the day. It's worth it to check their website for the specials
- Nice bartender though! Got three free cokes from him on my first visit!
- Ambiance is very lively and great for groups, cozy 2-lane grouping. You get one ball per person but it's very personalized with a specific weight and finger size. You also get to leave your shoes and ball when you're done and the peeps here will take care of them.
- TVs in front of you and I love seeing music videos playing while I bowl. It feels like Rock and Bowl ALL the time!
- Check website for promos on weekdays; Disney AP holders get $5 games and shoes Su-ThrsComment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 1/21/2011

For a bowling alley, this place wasn't bad. It seemed to be a little more expensive then your average Lucky Strike but it did have some perks. When you get your lane, you go to a section where they give you your shoes and for the bowling ball, they actually have you measure your finger size so that you pick just the right ball for you. Their shoe sizes were limited so a few people in my party didn't get the correct size they needed, just what was available.
The plus side about this place that I like was, multiple full bars near the lanes if you are into that and a server will come to your lane with a menu so that you can order food. That was kind of a nice touch to make this a little more of an upper scale bowling alley.
The parking, when your able to find a good spot is in underground parking but chances are you are going to end of ten minutes from the alley and unable to find it as there signs are not very clear. We had to ask someone to finally help us find it after walking around lost. Food is a little pricey and the atmosphere will not be for everyone. If you want trendy bowling then this is your place. If you want classic mom and pop alleys, look elsewhere.Comment from Theron L. of 300 Anaheim 1/5/2011

I came here in a Saturday night after work. My group was a party of 5 and we were told 12 people were ahead of us. When we asked how long is the wait, we received a " oh I can't give you a time frame." So we left for about 15 minutes and came back. We went to the tables to order some food. It took 20 minutes to get a menu and another 20 minutes to get our order taken.
As we waited we noticed some other groups sitting around with buzzers. And when we arrived they just asked for our number. We soon realized we didn't have reception. So any possible call from the front desk would not go through.
We also noticed that half the lanes were empty.
After an hour of waiting we finally got to bowl only one game because the place was about to close. -

How not to run a business. That's what I learned when I came to 300. 1/2 of the lanes were empty yet my friend and I were told there were eight people ahead of us and that we had to wait. Finally after 30 minutes I asked where we were in the queue and the girl said "Oh, I can just put you on lane 3." Pretty sure you could have done that 30 minutes ago. How do you keep people waiting for 30 minutes when half of your lanes are empty? Idiots.
The lanes are so heavily oiled my ball came back like it had just run over melted wax. I've never seen so much caked on crap on my ball. And $8.25 a game? If you're shady you can probably just walk out after bowling and not pay because everyone working there had their heads up their asses.
