I make a habit of visiting 3-way on a much more regular basis than other thrift shops. Neither of the two stores are large by any means, with Montclair being smaller than the main Chino store, but they're well stocked with a variety of items and good turnover. Most items are priced very reasonably.
Discounts can be had on any day - student discount on Mondays, web coupon on Wednesdays, 30% off on Fridays from 4pm to closing, and "repeat customer" discounts on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays if you have your receipt and coupon from the previous week's purchase. Additionally, stuff that doesn't sell after 3 weeks is marked down 50%, and 75% off after the 4th week, so if something is "too expensive", it will eventually be discounted if other folks think the same too. Which color will be marked down on which week is clearly listed on a calendar you can pick up from the cashiers or view online. Additionally, donations (only accepted at Chino) yield a $5 off $25 coupon too.
As with many thrift shops, everything is sold AS-IS. Still, electrical items are typically marked "works", "turns on, not tested", or "untested", which I will say is a lot better than in other thrift shops which just throws the items out on the shelf. My list of such labeled finds in the past 18 months include lamps and lighting fixtures, a coffee maker, a toaster, a few contact grills, a panini press, a rice cooker, multi-handset cordless phones, a couple alarm clocks, a heater, some fans, vacuum cleaners both large and small, hedge trimmers, various computer parts, and even a couple 15" LCD monitors. Everything marked "works" has indeed worked fine, and both LCD monitors, which were "turns on, not tested" worked too (the one I got for $5 after discount has some dead pixels, no issues with the $8 one). Out of the above list, a majority was bought for under $10, and the most expensive was $18 after discount for the upright vacuum cleaner which came with a new belt and included extra bags. -

I'm glad I got there later in the evening, I hear this place gets really crowded & the lines are long, I see why. Its not as big as I expected (like American Way Thrift Store) but it is worth the drive, although I think getting there early and dealing with the crowds, you would find more before it gets picked through.
Its clean, prices are decent (a lot cheaper that GW), they have a large selection of shoes & clothing for women, however for men its not as many shoes, but clothing maybe more. Large selection of Furniture. Appliances, household, etc it varies.
They even have discounts like the color of the day. Parking is kinda small for the large masses of people they get in there.
All in all its worth checking out. -

Not a bad stop for some thrift shopping. They have one of the better furniture selections on display than any of the other local thrift stores, and they have a big electronic selection (which i go for) for all you techies looking for spare parts. The store is always clean, and well staffed with friendly employees. Parking lot is a bit small, but you can always park on the street as well. Friday is 30% off day, so be sure to get your savings in then! I get all of my work pants (Dickies) from here for under $5 a piece!

30% off your entire purchase on Fridays starting at 4 PM, which is one of the reasons why I went. I arrived around 3:30 and this place was PACKED! Parking on the property was impossible to find. Even the street was almost full. I almost left until I saw that people were parking in the dirt lot right across from the place. I also have never seen a line as long as it was here.
I'm glad I didn't leave! The store was bigger than I had expected but it's still not as big as Quality Thrift; probably half thr size. The men's selection is quite bare and not a great selection of jewelry/accessories.
However, 4 stars for cheap prices. 75% off and 50% off certain colored tags which the store had a lot of. AND an additional 30% off on top of that on Friday evenings!?
My best finds were a cream colored crochet top and mason jar cups with handles. I also found a cute cross-body black purse for less than $2!
If you are in the area definitely check it out. You might find some hidden treasures here. -

This thrift store is always my first pick, I grew up always coming to this place for everything and anything in our household. They always have a great selection of furniture/clothes at extremely reasonable prices. The store always has some sort of deal going on, such as '75% off all blue tag merch'. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which is a huge plus at a thrift store. I've gotten great deals on designer (yes designer) clothing at this place too.
The only bummer is that it's ALWAYS packed, and has a tiny parking lot to accomodate the customers. -

It's organized and clean, but most of all it has thrift store prices. I found a dress, a skirt, and a fannypack for $4.00, probably due to the deep discounts they had that day.

I gotta say, I was very impressed with their holiday selection this Halloween and Xmas. I also saw great yard tools, but missed out when I decided to leave them when I wanted to check out another local thrift store to compare prices...big mistake. The items were gone by the time I returned in a matter of 2 hours.

Love this place! Score a high waisted 70's skirt, Spanish x moccasin-inspired shoes, silk long sleeved buttoned up, letter embellished necklace, and floral linen handbag. All with a 20% off coupon and colored tagged sales! Gotta love it!

Love love love this place. Wonderful finds all over for reasonable prices. I randomly go thrift shopping throughout the week so its nice they have different discounts every day of the week and offer coupons. It was a bit crowded the day I went...it was a Friday...but I still walked out with 2bags full of clothes for under 20bucks. This will become one of my regular stops that's for sure.

Obviously the name says it all here. How can you go wrong with such a winning combination - someone's used junk along with the junk of three people, gettin' used, together! I haven't actually been to this one in probably a year and a half but it was on the higher end of decent last time I visited - kind of trashy and full of stuff in just the way I like. 3 ways.
This review is for the new location in Montclair. I was pleased to see they have some rock wall happening, a pleasant greeting at any thrift store. The book selection is pretty bangin' - clothing and prices are ok. Actually though the books were half off so they ended up being pretty cheap.
I was really disappointed to find a copy of the Beach Boys' "Pet Sounds" which was totally scratched. One of the employees did bust out with a new pile of records and hint that I "might want to check these out." Like there was some sort of rare ebayable gold. What I did find was some Santana, some Simon & Garfunkle, and two Beatles records, one of which a 5 year old child wrote her age all over. The guy seemed pretty disappointed I didn't want to buy either of the Beatles records. I didn't want to let him down so I made up a lie about the quality to cover my total disinterest in the fab four's cool jangly pop rock stylings. I was going to make a snarky comment about songs in 4/4 timing but I realized that probably isn't accurate and I'd just be acting like a jerk. Really though, Pet Sounds! That Brian Wilson is a composition whiz.Listed in: Special Inland Empire Thrift…

The store was pretty big. Stuff was nicely organized. They had a bunch of stuff. Wish they had a biger selection on dress shirts and stuff but you really cant complain, what you find is what you find. I didnt get anything for myself, but the place was clean and didnt reek of random smells. I will probably come back another day but the selection for mens wasnt that great.
Overall if you're in the area, yea just drop on by. Its clean, well organized, and with all thrift stores you never know what you will find. -

I loved this thrift store. I found more trendy used clothing here like a green anorak with a fur collar and leopard tribal pants. Definitely coming back again!
