WORST MOVING COMPANY I'VE EVER USED. PERIOD.
DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE, THEY RUINED SO MUCH OF MY EXPENSIVE FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT WITH NO RECOURSE!
Update 9/2/11: I still cannot find my one of a kind bass guitar and my pops can't find some of his stuff. Not digging this.
It's Halloween. Want a Great Horror Story?
I agree wholeheartedly with the other one star reviews which cite damaged items and goofing around on my dime. We made the unfortunate mistake of calling Scott Tassone and the guys from 3 Guys Moving Company last October and received a quote for 5 guys and two 26-foot trucks.
First off, they were an hour and some odd minutes late and didn't call. We had to call Scott, who sounded like we woke him up. When the guys got to the house, it looked like they had recruited from a high school water polo team, and not the Oakland Raiders front lines, which made me wonder how efficient they were going to be...
Two or three of the guys were hustlers. The other 2 or 3 guys stood around at the truck, screwed around on my bike with ape-hangers, waiting to be handed boxes, or just acted busy. I have always been a man who buys quality things. Nothing in the house - including the antiques - were cheap. There was a ton of musical equipment, artwork, and very heavy solid wood and marble bedroom furniture.
I asked them to leave a pile of things for me to take in my own car - no chance in hell would they be allowed to move my giant LCD's, my classic Akai MPC4000 Sampler, or any of my guitars and records. I did unfortunately make the mistake of letting them handle my expensive deep sea fishing equipment, my wooden antique record console, and all of the other stuff... I mean that's what movers do, right? When I found out that they had loaded my MPC and other stuff I'd asked to be left alone, I made them dig in the truck for it so that I could take it myself. Sorry, but I don't trust anyone with my babies!
When we arrived at the new place and unloaded everything, it was fast. It was not however careful, nor was it done safely. They placed a 150lb headboard against a wall, and didn't do so properly and it fell over with a thunder -- I have a tiny Maltese puppy, and she was (luckily) safely crated away in another room... but what if? Or what if it fell on my head while I was putting the bed together? Not fun thoughts...
They scratched my heavy wooden (very expensive) dresser - this was not IKEA stuff, mind you. I found one of the guys whispering to another about how I would probably notice - not cool. Then you had Mr. Guitar Player, who was playing one of my guitars every time I turned around... and he was no Steve Vai or Frusciante, believe me.
All in all, here are a list of broken things after the move:
==========================================
- Broken fishing rod tips on 1 custom Calstar Rod ($290) and one custom Seeker Rod ($450)
- One broken needle on an antique record console ($99 + install)
- Giant deep scratch on expensive wooden/marble dresser ($?)
- Chipping paint on staircase ($?)
I never called Scott Tassone (Google him) and asked for my money back. Seems that after reading the other reviews here, I made the right decision. In fact, I didn't want to even deal with these people anymore, and was just happy I was moved in (stressful as hell) and chalked it up to bad planning. I wonder f I had called, would these guys - claiming that they are insured and bonded - would they deliver on their promises and fix my stuff? How could I prove it wasn't broken prior to the move? I just said screw it as my time is too valuable.
Never again, 3 Guys Moving Company. Looks like others have had the same experiences. Whenever anyone mentions you guys, I tell them about my horrible experience (that I paid for), and steer them towards another company. Also, this Rip Off Report posting about the owner made me think twice: http://www.ripoffrepor...
Oh, and one of your trucks leaked black, unchanged oil all over my new driveway. Awesome =/Listed in: AVOID these Places, Things,…

----WARNING---DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS---
If you care about your stuff, don't hire these dolts! They completely destroyed my wife's dresser and they scratched and dented two brand new LCD TVs that I regret ever having them touch. Scott Tassone, the owner, came out, apologized profusely and had me convinced that he really cared about the situation and he promised he would make everything right. He even asked me to make whatever repairs were necessary and he would send a check.
After I made the repairs and replaced the dresser (~$1500), he kept having one excuse after another as to why I hadn't been reimbursed yet: his check was lost, he was knocked unconscious, his check was lost again, he had to take his daughter to the ER, his check must have been stolen, his car broke down...one after another.
Well its been 6 months now and it is clear he is really nothing more than a professional bullshit artist. He is totally unprofessional, unethical, and unscrupulous. This guy is a criminal and the only business he should be in is making license plates from a prison cell. -

DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS!
Quite frankly, the owner is a crook. He damaged over $2500 worth of my furniture, promised to file a claim with his insurance company, and never did. He doesnt have an office, he hides behind an address where you cant find him. I'm in the process of suing him, but I have to find him first.
He even uses a fake name on his business cards because if you research his real name you will find that you are in a long line of people that have sued him and have judgments against him.
I realized that I will probably never see the money that he owes me, but at least like others on here, I can save someone else and hopefully take this guy out of business.
You have been warned. STAY AWAY, spend a little more and get the job done right!!!! -

if you enjoy watching your beloved furniture get banged up, scraped, scratched, and beat up, call these guys.
took them 7 hours to move a 1 BDRM apt . . . AND my husband & i had to jump in to make it go faster. so in actuality, it took 5 people to move a 1 BDRM in 7 hours.
the truck was full of furniture pads and NONE of it was used to move wood furniture until i specifically asked them.
the cupboard doors to our moving bar were ripped off. if the thing had been wrapped in furniture pads, this wouldn't have happened.
our brand new cal king wood bed frame was scratched, gouged.
wood dining room chairs were dinged and splintered.
stuff was piled on top of our collection of records even though we specifically asked them not to put anything on top of them.
so yes, definitely call these guys if you want to pay people to destroy your things.
not only did they fail to use furniture pads, my husband actually caught one of the movers skating around on his long board when they didn't think he was looking.
they also used his turn-table case as a loading dock to load up boxes. as they were doing so, they stated, "you don't mind if we use this to move stuff do you? it'll make it go faster."
they piled stuff on top of an open box full of plants which flattened my aloe plant and ripped off branches from an expensive jasmine bush.
a fragile globe lamp was broken in half.
our HDTV box was gouged into. thank GOD they didn't reach the tv itself.
