So this review is only for their happy hour.  Thursday night is 96 cent sliders.  They have the 2nd best sliders in town next to Mortons.   They have the house slider, hawaiian slider, pulled pork slider, chicken slider and western bacon slider.

The best one is the western bacon slider and it comes with a double patty.  It should be called the double western bacon slider.

Also try the black garlic fries ...probably one of the best garlic fries I've had.  They arent as pungent as regular garlic fries.  Only $6..can't beat it.  I had 4 sliders and spent $4? lol...

Oh ya Heidi was our wonderful bartender/waitress.  She was awesome. Also happy hour extends even to the outside area which I didnt know.

As a businessman who goes from hotel to hotel, I tend to not eat in hotel bars and/or their lounge.  I used to get a bit nervous about it......

I can honestly say that 3 Fires Lounge has changed that for me!  I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I was with this establishment!

Amazing service, great atmosphere, stellar food, and the prices are ridiculously inexpensive!  I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and tried a few places around here.  But nothing came close to the experience that I enjoyed here at 3 Fires.  I cannot thank the staff enough for making so many memories for me with their amazing service, food, and candor!

Happy hour was amazing, Direct TV on Sunday was a great place to watch some football (Go Bengals!), best bloody mary I have had in my life, great late night cocktails, the list goes on and on!

Thank you for making my stay in Sacramento so memorable.  I will see you in three months!

All the best 3 Fires, you are a gem in Sacramento!

    Nice, Relaxing and Great Food!

Sat down for a house drink, only a few options but was great.

The Appetizer was the ribs, wow...so much flavor its un-believable

I was there for lunch with a friend...we will be back.  It's connected to a hotel so if you stay long enough and do not want to drive drunk...Feel free to stay around $100 although cheaper than a DUI

it's a block away from Capital Garage and 10 times better, different crowd..lol

i was in the mood for a girly drink and ordered a lemon drop. The bartender said if I liked strawberries, he'd mix up something special. I gave him the "ok" so he muddled up some fresh strawberries and added them to my drink. It turned out quite yummy. It didn't taste very strong but it actually was =). He charged a typical bar price ($8) but a custom made drink is alright by me!

Great happy hour specials.  The wait staff is on it and happy.  Try the ahi tostadas!!!  The only downfall is one beer on tap and a little hoppy for me.
Otherwise I would definitely recommend it.

I would give this a 2.5 stars if possible, but given the overall experience, I decided to round down.

Ok, so first impression, the place looks pretty classy and inviting.  The bar is right there when you walk in, there are lots of comfy chairs and couches, etc. etc.  First thing we do is ask the bartender if they have a list of specialty cocktails.  He says, yes but they aren't very good.  Ok, if you are a bartender at a place that isn't a chain restaurant, maybe make some of your own recipes that you could offer...at least then the customer isn't immediately put off by hearing that the drinks suck.  He offered to make something special, so we took him up on it.  Pretty good drink, refreshing a little too sweet, but oh well.

Next thing we noticed is that while the decor is lounge-y, the TVs were playing football-which is totally fine-except that the game was also blaring throughout the lounge!  Why don't you keep the game on silently, and play some music appropriate to the setting?  I wasn't planning to go to a sports bar, so it was a little annoying.

Food-I agree, overpriced and small portions.  My friend and I each ordered a salad off the menu (different salads, same price), and mine was twice as big as hers!  I felt bad when her teeny plate came out next to mine...but at least I ended up with the bigger salad, ha!

Took the recommendations of prior yelpers and got the sliders--best part of the meal for sure, but not something that would make me go back.  Well, maybe if I was right down the street, it was Thursday, before 7 (happy hour time), because then the sliders are apparently 98 cents each.

Long waits for food and drinks too--why does that seem to be a trend lately??

Basically, take the advice of many prior yelpers and stick to drinks only at 3 Fires (even though their cocktails apparently are not good, LOL).

First of all, among all the restaurants participating in Dine Downtown, this was one of the few who did not have an online reservation option (Opentable) available. I called the number listed on the Dine Downtown ads and instead of the Lounge got the hotel and had to be redirected. That was a bit annoying but was able to make the reservation. Wasn't sure how they'd do with sit-down dinner since they're primarily a lounge/bar. Upon arrival, we had a table for 4 in the back by the bar and connection to the hotel. There was no shortage of servers offering to get us more water, clear the plates, etc. There were even two waiters who each brought the bill! But back to the meal: One of us started with the salad, two ordered the coconut shrimp, and I got the bisque.  The soup was delicious! One ordered the chicken as the main dish while the rest of us had the pork. Very interesting presentation and very filling portions! The cheesy risotto was spot-on and the meat very tender. For dessert, I had the butterscotch pot de crème which was served in what looked like a squarish glass candle holder but was amazing. Layers separated by gooey caramel. One friend got the chocolate lava cake with fruit. She definitely was missing out. Overall a nice night.

The decor here is nice, plenty of tables to sit including a few couches in the corner.  They have a dj on Saturdays, so it turns into "Mix Light" if you know what I mean as to the type of crowd.  Since it is a lounge, be prepared to spend some cash on drinks.  They used to ave a great happy hour, including what is now a late night 7:00 to 10:00 happy hour on Fridays, but that was about a year ago, but the food has gone down hill.

A quiet and comfortable lounge downtown. I stopped in here last night before making the mistake of going across the street to The Park. Friendly service, nice selection of drinks, and a clean/classy decor. My only complaint would be that beer drinkers won't be happy here. Though that's a small critique and would surely not stop me from coming back here again.

3 Fires Lounge would be a great spot to swing in for an early evening cocktail with friends. It's quiet and very easy to have a conversation here.

So if you are into going somewhere crowded and tons of people. at most times this place is not for you. However I love this place because it isnt crowded. There is rarely  a crowd which has man perks. One you get your drinks promptly (and you get to know the bartender who are pretty chill at this place) Two its a nice place to go with friends to catch up and relax. This place has a really good, long happy hour (3-7) and the drinks and food are super cheap and super good. One of my favorite neighborhood bars

This hotel bar is right by my work, so I would say I am somewhat of a regular.  When the bartenders know you and your order (even if they don't remember your name) then you can pretty much say you are a regular.
I usually go for a happy hour drink since they are one of the few bars in the area that have happy hour until 7pm.  The bartenders are always friendly and conversational, but not invasive.  The happy hour prices are good and the people watching is usually interesting since it is a hotel bar.
I haven't eaten dinner here yet, but have sampled some of their happy hour eats and the food is pretty good.  The sliders are descent and their chicken wings are good, as is the caesar salad.  I am planning on going in for dinner sometime soon so I will update my review then!
But I do recommend this place for happy hour or a just a quick cocktail!

This venue has a classy, quaint, and intimate setting.  It's a great place for a drink before dinner during a date or a small get together to catch up with your girlfriends.  It's not much of a people watching bar/lounge, so go here with someone you really want to devote all of your attention to.  hahah.

My friends and I ALWAYS get hooked up when we go here.  Both times were for dessert.  We came in for drinks and happy hour (4-7pm, $5 appetizers, $3.50 house wine).  We were craving dessert, and our server, Tony, gave us exactly what we wanted.  He even let us meet the chef!!  Dessert has always been good, the food is not crazy spectacular, but definitely sufficed our appetites, and the service is just amazing!

We came for happy hour, The digs were nice, and it was really dead in there, so I figured we would get great service...boy was I wrong. Dead wrong. We ordered one round of cocktails, and some sliders. It took them almost 20 minutes to get our drinks, and we had to remind them twice. 20 minutes? For 2 effin drinks?? AND the place is empty?? No bueno. We were so turned off by the service, we didn't stay to eat. We decided to head over to Cafeteria across the street for dinner instead. Maybe they were having an off night, but you know what they say...first impressions are everything.
I don't plan to be back...not even to use this coupon I had forgotten that night. Damn.

Stopped here with my wife one evening after work because I won a gift card.  Its got the atmosphere of an airport hotel bar/lounge, but did at least have a guy whipping up some nostalgia on his guitar, covering Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, and the like.  We got a side of their hottest happy hour buffalo wings - the waitress was obliged to warn us of the incendiary doom our palates would endure, but they were merely mildly spicy (and unbreaded).

The main course took its sweet time making its way to our table, possibly because there were only 2 employees visible in the joint, one of them being the bartender.  The burger was acceptable and the fries were excellent.  The fish, however, was dessicated and seemed to be breaded in sand, then plopped unceremoniously onto a plate with a flavorless creamy sauce reminiscent of unscented hand lotion.

I would recommend this place any time you end up with a free gift card or have a hankering to nosh some fries while being serenaded by Me & Julio Down by The Schoolyard.

Last weekend was spring break for Sac state...needless to say our "normal" spots were insanely crowed. We just wanted a nice place to relax with family out for Easter (i.e. somewhere quite). We spotted 3 fires lounge and thought "lets go!"....

It was pretty slow, which was great for us. The crowd was older, most on dates and there were so many couches...lots and lots of couches!! Big comfy couches! And chairs etc, hence the name 3 fired lounge. Although I didn't see any fires?? Maybe it was too late when we got there....the lighting was dim, the décor and styling made me think of "mad men", big picture windows, so you can watch all the drunk peeps from The Park and Mix stumble about, while reminiscing about when you were in college (and your body could handle that kind of abuse lol)

....this is the kind of place I love....

....We gave the bartender our order, and to my surprise they were out of ALL of their specialty cocktails....bartender said the order was inputted incorrectly last week. It can happen, he was sorry about it...so not a problem. Their long islands and other mixed drinks were poured well enough to make me want to return....

Thank you for saving our night!

I've been here for happy hour a couple times.  It looks like a really trendy place, but isn't as trendy once you walk in.  My girlfriends and I ordered pretty much everything on the happy hour menu which was good and the drinks were ok.  Nothing really stood out to me at this place.

My friends and I were "bar hopping" and decided to give this place a try as it was late (probably 11:30pm close to midnight) and the bouncer sold us by saying there's no cover AND no dress code!

In case you want to dance the night away, right when you enter there's a tiny dance floor, and it wasn't too crowded either.  There are two rooms which is divided by the small bar; the back of the room is more chill with TV's and tables (also connected to a hotel); there's an outside seating area as well. As I mentioned before, the bar is small and there were only two (?) bartenders, which took a while to order drinks.  I liked the music and vibe of this place.  I'll definitely be coming back with my entourage to try out the happy hour specials =D.

This review is based on the Dine Downtown 2011 experience. Warning, this was a long meal so get ready for a long reading.

We walk in, and this place is quite smaller than I expected. When we told them that we made reservations 1 week prior, they said we didn't have any. They even had the nerve to ask if we called it in under a different name!! Luckily my cousin jotted down who took our reservations and they seated us. Minus 1 star.

We're seated, and menus are placed in front of us. The server comes back a few minutes later & takes our drink and food order.  It's supposed to be a bar/lounge...so why does it take 15+ min to bring our drinks?  And even longer than that for a mojito?  Once they brought the drinks, one person in our party had to wait for another 10 min for someone to come back just to request for a glass for his beer! Minus 1 star.

Now, roughly 30 min have passed and still no food & not even a "your soup & salads will be coming out shortly" from any server.  Our first course arrives probably 45 min after we're seated...4 of us order the Langostino Lobster Bisque & 1 Baby Spinach Salad.  The bisque is very good, but barely even lukewarm. Minus 1/2 star.

Ok, so we're now waiting for our second course.  it's probably almost 1hr since we were seated....and everything comes out.  We ordered the Braised Pork Osso Bucco, Baked Natural Herb Chicken & Grilled Creekstone Angus New York Steak.  I don't remember any of us complaining about our meals, I honestly loved the taste of my steak...They get 1 star back.

We all have finished our second course....and we're sitting there with empty plates for more than 30 min, and 2 different servers tell us "your dessert will be coming out shortly".  When the 2nd server told us that, one person in our party stated "looks like you guys need more staff"....and he replied that they were always short staffed, but didn't apologize for the sloooooooowwwwww service. Minus 1 star.

Now we're coming up to roughly 1 hr & 45 min into our meal, still waiting for our desserts.  We noticed that the table next to us, who arrived before us, but ordered their they meals 30+ min after us, we're almost done with their desserts!  Not only have we been waiting for another 30 min for dessert, my friend ordered a beer and we all could see it sitting on the bar, waiting to be brought to the table.  He almost got up to grab it himself! WTF right?! Minus 1/2 star.

Dessert FINALLY arrives. He brings out all of the same dessert even though one of us ordered something different.  He apologizes & it takes another 5-7 min  We state "Wow, it's taken awhile for dessert!" and the server says "Oh, the kitchen is REALLY small...." Ok?! So is it a closet w/a single burner & small propane tank?! WTF, if you're supposed to be a restaurant serving food, I do NOT need to hear that kind of excuse. 4 of us ordered the Zinfandel Poached Pear with Vanilla Ice Cream & one Chocolate Torte. The pear was NOT poached very well, 2 people had to use knives to cut it, mine actually slipped off my plate and flew to the floor!  The chocolate torte wasn't even very chocolately either. Minus 1/2 star.

In conclusion, first 2 courses based on taste (not temp) was good...but  the service there REALLLLLLY SUCKED.  They shouldn't have joined "Dine Downtown". They didn't even seem prepared for people to actually sit down and order food. This place gets 1/2 star.  GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

I stayed at the Marriott for a week and tried this a few times. The food is not very good and overpriced. I had the spicy penne carbonara and it was bland and full of big chunks of fat with little to no Bacon to be seen.
The salmon Wellington was probably my favorite but was still bland and the puff pastry was way too thick (uncooked).

Finally the smoked chicken pappardelle is just plain gross.
My wine in a plastic cup normally used for a side of guacamole was the best thing I had there.
Avoid this place and don't be lazy like I was.

You know, this place has a good concept. No cover. Good music (mainly 80's/90's Hip-Hop/R&B the Saturday I went). Good Lounge seating.

    That's where it ends.....

Yes, hearing music from "back in my day" (I love how being in my 30's allows me to say that phrase while shaking my fist menancingly in the air) is always a treat. The concept of enjoying a cocktail and shooting the shi*t with friends or a date, is instantly attractive. Sometimes I don't want to have my name on a list, or stand in line, or  wade thru a crowd of "fist pumping" to order my weakly made $8 drink. Lounges in theory should allow you to order that weak $8 drink under less demanding circumstances, as a dancefloor is usually null and void and desginated to that one couple who've had to much (or the old guy who's proving how hip he really is).

Fireside was packed and had an impromptu 'Dance-Dance-Rectangle" break out alongsde the lounge chairs. This made navigating to the bar, or the adjoining room/bar very difficult (as House of Pain instructed everyone to 'Jump Around'). Add to that, the bartenders here were quite frankly....garbage. For a packed house, only 1 bartender for each bar (2 total). It was like watching a game of 'Hungry-Hungry Hippo's'', but with a super-selective hippo that only gravitated towards properly tanned cleavage (although, can you really blame that hippo in the end)? We waited about 5-10 minutes our first order, and gave up on the second time around. When I asked for my tab, he couldn't even locate my initial drink order, only the card. So we actually ended up leaving without paying a dime. Just compensation for the service, but just shows the kind of money they are leaving on the table here.

    HIRE SOME MORE BARTENDERS!!!!!

Overall, I will give this place another try. I really want to like this place more, but so far, I feel like the guy who takes a hot chick out on a date...only to have her texting "friends" the whole night.

Totally not your average hotel bar. 3 Fires is nestled between de Vere's and Cafeteria 15L. Inconspicuous and under rated.. you have to try it out!!

Great, quiet place to catch up with friends. Plus the happy hour menu isn't bad. From 4pm-7pm, you can order $5 small plates and $3.50 for wine.

We ordered 2 personal pizzas, 2 chicken wings, 2 sliders, 3 fries, and 3 rounds of red wine for a grand total of $90 = 4 super happy chicks!

Service was amazing!! Tony, our waiter and bartender, was very attentive and made sure that we never had empty wine glasses. The chef, Anthony, was just as great. We made a special order for dessert and he accommodated our request.

I can't wait to go back!!

Only two stars because our server was nice, atmosphere is decent. This is not a place to go and eat dinner, it is a lounge and I suppose good for bar food. We made the mistake of eating dinner.

The food was mediocre, I felt that I could have made better food in my kitchen on my own. As other reviewers noted the service was so slow. It took us an hour to get drinks and order our food. Several times our group was tempted to jump accross the street to Cafeteria on L where we have all had great service. They were out of several bottles of wine on their menu, but did compensate us with a pricey bottle at a lower price. And honestly if they hadn't we were ready to hit the road. They were out of 10 plus bottles we were interested in.

We had the special Prix Fixe menu for the Dine Downtown and I felt ripped off. The Lobster bisque was over spiced all I could taste was cayenne and not to mention cold. I think I have had better lobster bisque at Safeway in their Safeway soups. Steak was nothing special and also cold. Dessert was just weird I had the pear with vanilla ice cream served with a spoon, but the pear was so hard I had to use a knife to cut it. It seamed like they tried to poach an un-ripe pear. It was served on a flat plate that made it almost impossible to eat.

Their menu is way over priced. The quality of food is not in-line with the cost.

I think the Dine Downtown organization should investigate the food quality at these places before asking them to participate.

Long story short, we will never be back again. Low- Quality Food and High Prices.  Go some where else for Dine Downtown, don't get ripped off like me.

There isn't a ton that is really outstanding about 3 Fires, but there isn't anything really horrible about it either.

3 Fires has a really decent happy hour. Good drink and wine deals and a small but tasty bites menu.

The staff are usually nice, although I've encountered some snippy attitudes.

I think the biggest drawback is there is really limited seating, considering the size of the space. You need to go early or risk standing. And almost every time I've been, they've had the couch areas "reserved" for groups that never showed, while me and the people I was with would struggle to find seats. Seems to be a good spot for a pre-diner drink with a date, but not really a great spot for groups.

3 Fires is a really great spot if you want to grab a drink someplace that is slightly more sophisticated than, say, De Veres, but isn't "too hip for you" like Cafeteria 15L or Lounge On 20. Just try to hit em' up during happy hour so you get the good deals. Otherwise it might get a little spendy.

I bought a coupon on http://restaurant.com that gave us $25 for $15. Score!

This was my first time coming here, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. I was expecting more of a restaurant rather than a bar with food, but it was still a great interior with excellent service. We had a margherita pizza (DELICIOUS!) and the tortellini with shrimp and were impressed with the food. My salad was also excellent - crisp, fresh vegetables and crunchy homemade croutons with a tart balsamic vinaigrette. I wish we had left room for dessert.

The only downside that it really is more of a bar/lounge than a restaurant, so there were some loud football fans and middle-age drinkers in Halloween costumes keeping the bar (right next to us) quite loud.

The location itself is really great - wide windows, across the street from the capitol, plenty of parking around.

After work, I asked myself what I was craving so I instantaneously thought, "french fries". What happy hour doesn't have french fries on their menu? My bf suggested 3 Fires Lounge because we always pass the corner either on foot, bike or car but never went inside for a drink or meal.

The happy hour menu was pretty limited but we ordered a glass of white wine and gin & tonic. I ordered the sliders with fries (because I wanted those fries) and the Caesar salad. When we walked in there were about 2-3 workers but the bartender also appeared to be our waiter as well. He took our drink orders and arrived a little later to take our happy hour orders.

The crowd inside appeared older and probably government and state workers.

The Caesar salad was decent, nothing to rave about or write home about. I ordered the sliders with the French fries. The sliders was delicious (love the sauce and the grilled onions) but the French fries were less than stellar. I guess I was expecting a more quality French fries from such a nice lounge, instead there were the regular cut fries that you could probably order at a fast food restaurant. It would have been nice if they were crisp cut or less soggy. Anyway, apparently I'm obsessing about French fries but that is besides the point.

Overall I give it a 3 star rating because I think they have a lot of opportunity and room to grow. The decor is nice and I love the artwork. The furniture and couches also provide a more relaxed atmosphere than say De'Veres or any other bar scene.

Came here for dinner one weekday night with my man. The place was dark and it wasn't very busy so we chose to sit around one of their wooden high tables next to the window (probably the best seating for dinner unless you want to sit on the lounge chairs.)

The food portions were bit a small but I was diggin' their clam chowder! Real shelled clams rested on a sea of seasoned cream - yum! There were no other servers in sight besides the bartender who helped us.

Overall experience was great but it's definitely more of a lounge/bar atmosphere.

I'm reviewing this hot spot based on the one drink I had and the service because my 24 year old roommate was denied happy hour drinks based on her inability to renew her license....whaaaaa whaaaaaaaa!

    Oh wells......

I wanted to test out the happy hour eats, which I never got to do, however I wasn't that impressed with the options. Cheese pizza!? Not that inspiring.

On the other side of the spectrum, the drink that I had was awesome, and the bartender had the personality to match. She playfully talked about double fisting her kamikaze with Coors Light, I laughed and order one, leaving out the Coors....and Mmmm...a well made kamikaze is pretty hard to find for me. It's usually too sweet or really watered down, especially if you like them on the rocks like I do. But thankfully, this drink was spot on, you could really taste the alcohol in the best way possible and there was a nice balance with the lime. Yummers.

I would like to add that the atmosphere was really great too, laid back and in a great location. Great place for mixers, just ask the Lesbian Business Women that gathered around us. Ha.

I would definitely come back for the drinks and maybe the lunch specials that I saw on the menu.

I am reviewing 3 Fires Lounge as a separate entity from the Residence Inn although I would never have gone there if I had not been staying the night. For a downtown hotel restaurant, it was good for the appetizer and drink specials: $5.00 for a Happy Hour that runs until 7 pm. The first pizza I ordered came black, so I sent it back and the next one was definitely more edible, but not entirely delicious. So maybe I'm being generous with 4 stars, but the bartender was cool and the drinks were good. They subbed a La Crema Pinot Noir for the regular house red they ran out of, which was OK for $5.

They get a street crowd for Happy Hour, but then it dies out again.

We wandered in here late on a Thursday night. I had family staying in the hotel so we figured this would be a good spot to grab a quick bite and a drink. We called down from the room to make sure they were still serving food. The bartender answered and said yes.

We got to the lounge and sat at a table where we waited for our server. She immediately told us they were no longer serving food. Hmm. We told her the bartender said otherwise so she went in the back to check. The cooks said they were still cooking and we got our our ordering underway.

I got the turkey club and my husband and bro-in-law ordered burgers. Both were pretty delicious. They ordered a couple of shots as well, disappointed they didn't serve Russian Standard vodka but not everyone does.

We came back for drinks two days later and I tried the "organge-sicle." It tasted like an extra special orange creamsicle. Not too shabby.

All in all, the server was super sweet and attentive and the food was delicious. However they're just so confused it kind of takes away from the whole experience.  Also the menu is a little short considering they're trying to do the whole food thing.

I'm giving 3 Fires Lounge three stars since all I had here was beer on St. Patrick's Day. It was a pretty good place to hang out that night--the crowd was just right, not dead and not overwhelming. Good beer, nice dance music, fun vibe. Although it's a little weird to have to go into the attached hotel lobby to get to the ladies room.

Reading the other reviews, I'll have to come back for happy hour. We tried to go to Aura afterwards and found out they've been evicted. :( Maybe I'll change my http://Restaurant.com coupon for Aura over to 3 Fires for next time.

I had lunch here with my good pal and Yelper, Minh P.  He went for the sliders.  I went for the Monday lunch special of pasta and meatballs.  We both had iced tea.  The food was great.  The location was better.

3 Fires is at a block corner and had glass walls facing the street so that you saw the building and parks around you.  This gives you a great view, a very beautiful view whether rain or shine.

Add the view to the $10 lunch special and you got yourself a deal and a full stomach.

The liquor looks pretty decent and so the happy hour would be true to its name.  I saw some black label Bushmill's (white label is shit and only sold in America) and they also offered some blue label.

    Sounds appetizing, huh?

went here for dinner because I had a groupon, and used it on the last night right before it expired.

im sure happy hour is amazing, the bartenders seem friendly, and they have a full stocked bar.
started with the calimari-which seemed it was cooked in dirty or old oil. the portion size was a good value though.
I ordered the niman burger medium, and a blue moon on tap. burger was cooked perfectly, just kinda sad they didnt have pepper jack cheese, only cheddar and swiss. beer batter fries were amazing! i would order these again for sure.

my girlfriend ordered a salad which was average at best.

It's a hotel bar and while it looks nice, the service is weak and the food is nothing special.

I went with a group of people and while our service at the bar was fine, I noticed numerous people coming up to the bar throughout the evening to pay their check because they had not seen their server in so long. At one point I even saw a table ask the waitress for her check and after going to print it out she stopped at another table and engaged in a 10 to 12 minute conversation while the other patrons were left waiting.

As for the food, the sliders looked good but my caesar salad was dry and the seafood paella was served over some of the blandest saffron rice I have ever tasted.

I suppose if you're staying in the hotel, you might come here because its convenient and you don't know any better. But really, why would you when The Park is across the street and two of the best locales in Sacramento, DeVere's and The Mix are less than half a block away.

Ended up here on accident actually ...

A co-worker wants to go out with a couple colleagues in celebration of his birthday and the place he wanted to go to ended up closing early; and this place was nearby.

So we got in and ended up taking an entire side section near a wall next to the bar.  The seats were a little too comfortable, which made it hard for the drunk ones to stay awake ;).  The kitchen is open till pretty late and they have a great selection of foods.  They also have a wide selection of beers.

The bartender was the one who served us and he was very attentive the entire night.  Every time someone new joined our party he was right there to take more orders.  He always kept our glasses full and made us laugh a couple times as well.

The place is classy and is also a bit pricey, but I didn't expect anything different.  I think that if I lived/worked near here I'd probably try to stop by more often for a quick bite and/or drink.  I eventually want to go back to try their happy hour as well.
