Came here for their Classical Carnage every Wednesday night from 7-10pm!
IT WAS AWESOME!! If you are into Vitamin String Quartet and other music like that you will absolutely love this event. Each week they bring in different live musical artists to perform (with No cover charge) and 25% all food proceeds are donated to the HB school district musical programs in support of the arts. So you'll have a great time and feel good about it too.
Last night was my first time going to this event. Sadly as much as I go to 2nd Floor I was slow to discover this hidden jewel of entertainment. Yesterday they had two violinists and two cellists playing some of our favorite classical rock. They played amazing renditions of some of the most iconic songs through rock history like Roxanne, Stairway to Heaven, and Nirvana hits. This event was amazing I will definitely be going back again soon...like every wednesday!Listed in: Best Happy Hour

Review from Giselle A.
Orange County, CA
INGRID is her name! She changed the amount of the tip herself. Our bill was supposed to be $45.79. She gave herself a $15 tip! I was so angry when I checked my CC transactions. She did not deserve a tip at all! She was not a great server she rushed us. When we were done eating she brought us the bill and said she was leaving for the night, so that she needed to pick up the check soon. I paid and she processed it. We got a 2nd server who came by the table to see if we needed anything. By that time we decided to leave because the service was horrible! INGRID was still walking around talking to different guys and bringing them shots. LIke really!!?? You said you were leaving and that your shift was over!
Food is not tasty! The only thing that gets 4 stars here are the Zepplin Poppers.
INGRID waitress is shady! Beware.
I Will be contacting the manager at 2nd floor. I'll update this post once I get feedback from their management. -

This is supposed to be the new HOT spot on Main st, eh? More like "meh".
Hit them at 1pm on saturday... even with playoff basketball on the place was a third full. Hostess sat us at a table in the middle of server traffic while many plush leather booths sat empty in front of the windows.
Waited 8 minutes before first sever contact, and another 23 minutes to get a cheeseburger. Burger was ok, ceratinly not what is pictured on the flyers.
Staff all have noses-in-the-air attitudes. Newsflash... no matter how many tattoos, piercings, or big silver rings you have... you are still a waiter. Get over yourselves. -

Great staff, strong drinks, and amazing food.
Staff: Always greeted with a friendly face. The bartenders always are quick to get drinks served.
Drinks: all the drinks ive had there have been nice and strong, and cheap compared to other places downtown.
Food: Their head chef has done an amazing job creating a very inspired menu that tastes even better than the descriptions make it sound. They cater to all including healthy options, vegan and vegetarian options, as well as your typical greasy bar food.
The environment @ 2nd Floor is like being in a Tattoo Parlor that is actually a bar. All the art work is done by local artists and any item can be purchased with all proceeds going to the actual artists.
Such a great place and a great environment. But a word to the wise, if the Main St Party scene isnt your think, avoid Friday and Saturday nights. -

The GOOD: atmosphere here is super chile and laid back. Like the theme of the bar and the paintings hanging on the wall. Employees were friend. If you enjoy the tattoo life style you should check this spot out
The BAD: my meal came cold and approximately ten minutes before my girls meal came to us. So I ate my cold meal while she watched..
I am willing to try this place again, but it will not be my first choice. -

I loved and I mean loved this place! I love the whole concept of this place! I actually used to work at the H.B.Art Center up the street. I love all things art. The art itself is fairly reasonably priced also. That is just my opinion though. The service was friendly and the food was pretty good. The dessert was my favorite part though. I had the Adams apple crisp-so good! I also had the fish and chips. Pretty good but pretty standard for fish and chips.
My husband had the BBQ chicken burger and said it was very good. very tender, easy to chew. The New York steak was ordered by my daughter and she liked it a lot. Basically the food here is very good and so is the ambiance.
2nd Floor also has different artistic events during the week. This is what makes this restaurant unique. Wednesdays there is live classical music playing from 7-10PM and every Thursday night there is an art show. So you are not just going to a place to eat you are going to an event. Overall it is just a fun and unique dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone! Beautiful restaurant! I loved it and I liked the experience I walked away with! One last thing-the exposure to the art and the artists' is well worth it in itself! -

2nd Floor is awesome, probably my fave bar on Main St. To start, their food is SUPER good and pretty reasonably priced. They have a good selection of veggie fare and their onion rings are beer battered perfection!
The service here is excellent and the staff are super friendly. The drinks are always well mixed and they are relatively cheap. The music here is always much better than most bars, they play the UFC fights and always have something interesting on the TVs.
Honestly, I talk a LOT of shit, but there is really nothing bad I can say about 2nd floor--I always leave thinking, "Shit, that was FUN!" -

My review on this is very in the middle...
First of all...the decor inside was awesome...and something about JUST being in the HB area is always a cool feeling. Light breeze and sunny skies...and the vibe and energy from the HB locals is always great. It has a biker bar kinda feeling and had art and wide screen TVs all over the place.
I endedd up arriving here because I had a GROUPON...and as we arrived it was also happy hour too! Cheap beer and 50% off appetizers! WOOT WOOT right? NO! Unfortunately...GROUPON was not allowed to be combined with happy hour...so then we said...well hey..."what if my friend left....came back and sat at the bar...ordered the happy hour...and then brought the food back to my table" ...manager said no...RETARDED RIGHT? After arguing for a little bit...we decided to order something from the APPETIZER MENU @ FULL EFFIN PRICE!! We ordered the nachos...
Appearance wise...they looked humongo! EASILY ABLE TO FEED 4! Taste-wise...ehhh def. not worth the full price...would have rather just ordered it straight from the 50% happy hour. In addition, they barely gave any meat on the nachos! It also seemed like they were tortilla chips from a bag or something. ANYWHO...going onto the entree
I originally wanted to order the RIB EYE...but the manager said we couldnt...that was the only exception...EFF THIS GROUPON THEN!! So then I ordered the other steak...the one that WAS ALLOWED. The steak came out...I saw my 2 sides (mushroom soup and french fries)...with 2 little strips of steak! THIS WAS $19?? GEEEZEE. It looks like the steak flaps from albertsons or ralphs where they sell for 99 cents!
Anywho...so for the total bill including my groupon discount ($52 value)...it came out to about $12....$12 because we paid full price for the effin nachos! The groupon value was 2 entrees at $19 and 2 pints of beer...some deal right?
Anyways...I doubt I would come back here during NON-HAPPY HOURS or NON SPECIAL NIGHTS.
UNTIL THEN!! ^-^ -

I've been here 2 more times since my last review. The first time was with a girlfriend on a Friday night, just for beers. The beer selection is seriously lacking, but they have Guinness, so I survived. The crowd was bro-tastic...lots of dudes in flat billed hats acting like frat boys. The music was super loud and it was really crowded. If that's your deal, you'd love coming here on the weekend.
Last night my husband and I went for dinner using a Spreebird deal. I think it was about $30 and we had $85 to spend. Great deal! We had a bottle of syrah (can't remember the brand, but it was good) and started with the mac n cheese appetizer. Tasty. I had the burger with cheddar, sauteed onions and mushrooms along with a side of onion rings. It was HUGE and YUM. My husband had the Cash Kabobs which came with veggies and mashed potatoes topped with cheese. He said the steak had great flavor. Since we still had $ to spend, we got some brownie thing (I think it's the "James Brownie" haha) which is in the fridge for dessert tonight. We came home with 1/2 the macaroni and 1/2 my burger, which was a perfect lunch for today!
Like I said in my last review, the music on Wednesday is fantastic. I'd definitely come back for that! I probably won't come back on the weekend, though...not my scene.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I bought a Spreebird deal for this place and brought a bunch of friends to dine with me! Love the concept here- cool art and food together in one place! The art is dark, morbid, and stuff you would see tattooed on someone's arm.
The food here was A-OK. The nachos had a great spicy cheese sauce. If you know me, I LOVE LOVE LOVE cheese sauce so this was a winner in my book. Their salad (Cabo San Lucas I believe??) was ok. The pieces of meat inside the salad were sparse :( My awesome FIT (Foodie In Training) buddy got the Colossal "Sailor Jerry" Burger. Man, it was HUGEE!! And pretty tasty as well though I was disappointed that it is priced at $16 and it comes with no side :( My other friends got the Ca$h kabobs and the House Burger and both said it was just ok.
Service here is not that great. They take forever! Overall, I would maybe come back for drinks if I were in the area but don't hold me to it! -

Horrible! Here is a list of all that went wrong! 1. My friend asked for a glass to pour her beer in. After waiting for 10 min, she had to get up herself to get one from the bar. 2.when our food came out the guy who brought the food (not our waitress) was calling out dish names that we didn't order so we assumed he had the wrong table. Nope he was at the right table with the right dishes but he didn't even know what he was bringing out! 3.when our food was brought out we were asked if anyone needed anything.... Um yes... Our appatizers! 4.my daughter had sliders and a salad, no dressing was brought out for her salad, I had to ask for ranch. 5.about 5 min into our meal my friend asks for a side of ranch and was told that some was brought out to my daughter. Pretty much my friend should get some of my dughters ranch! Really!? Come on!!! So we just laughed and yeah my daughter only used half but that's besides the point! 6.The mac n cheese appatizer was brought out when we were almost done with our meal and it was horrible! Bland and not worth the wait or price at all! It took about 20 minutes to get our bill after we were done eating and we were not asked once if we wanted refills on our drinks! No tip was left. This place needs to hire people who will work and know what they are doing rather than chicks that just stand around thinking they are pretty. Our waitress was too much of a bimbo to take care of a table of 4 with a 5 year old. Other than that the food was decent but really not worth the price u pay.

Review from Trina D.
Vanessa H. and I had dinner last night and used the Spreedeal she bought. It was $34 for $82 worth of food and wine. What?! Yeah, it was pretty awesome. We got a bottle of Smoking Loon wine (choice of Merlot, Chardonnay, or Cabernet), mac & cheese, ca$h kabobs with sides, NY strip steak with sides, and the apple crisp dessert. It was a lot of food. My steak was not really medium rare but it was so thin that I guess it was an oversight. I should have sent it back but I was enjoying the music by Classical Carnage and was distracted. I did enjoy the cheesy garlic potatoes and the grilled veggies. The mac and cheese had a nice crumb texture but it was just ok. Again, nothing will compare to my new favorite mac & cheese at Cucina Enoteca. My cousin, Vanessa D., joined us too for a drink and some jalapeno poppers. She liked the ambiance too.
Classical Carnage is a string quartet band that plays contemporary songs on string instruments! AWESOME! Their Bohemian Rhapsody is great as is their Don't Stop Believing. Our server Brad was pretty awesome and easy on the eyes too. He definitely worked hard for his tips. We made sure to tip him on the full amount of the meal. 2nd Floor ART Drinks is a pretty cool place to hang out on a Wednesday night. 3.5 stars. -
Review from Vanessa H.
Aliso Viejo, CA
So between Trina D.'s and my review, I've decided to average it out to 3.5 stars. This is a cool little spot on a street that has a ton of cool little spots, but its presence on http://Restaurant.com and Classical Carnage playing on Wednesdays make it worth stepping in to.
It's upstairs, but I've never been here when it's been warm enough to sit out on the patio/balcony and look down my nose at the Tool Central parade down on Main Street. That's on my Summer To Do list for sure.
The walls are lined with that unique style of art that is 2 Parts Hot Girls + 2 Parts Death + 1 Part Bones of Some Sort + 1 Part Musical Instruments, limited to a red and black palette, available as wall art or a tattoo sleeve. I'm sure there's a more concise name for it, but you recognize the theme when you see it.
Oh yes, and there was food. We shared the Mac & Cheese (3 stars) and I got the Cash Kabobs (4 stars). Trina D. also had the NY Strip with some altered sides (handled without fuss) which ended up being a 2-star dish. Finished up with the apple crisp, which was also pretty average. Our wine was not bad; we split a bottle of the house Merlot ($28).
The highlight of the night was definitely Classical Carnage, which is a string quartet that plays a range of contemporary songs. I heard everything from Journey, to Lady Gaga, to the Beatles, to Al Green. I loved it, but don't sit too close or you will be shouting to be heard over the music.Listed in: Restaurant . com Restaurants

Review from Glen N.
Long Beach, CA
The best thing about the calamari is that it takes care of your entire consumption of sodium in one sitting! You don't have to worry about eating salt the rest of the week!
We went to 2nd Floor because of a DailySpreeGroupon thing. We had a rocky start when the waiter did not understand the coupon. It was for "Wine Tasting" but he wanted to give us one bottle of wine. One bottle of wine is NOT wine tasting. That's like saying a bowl of raisins is a buffet.
My girlfriend was already a little testy because she was overdressed for the place, she was starving, and she has me as a boyfriend. So we just skipped the "wine tasting" and went with it. The coupon said "Up to $82 value" so I asked if we would basically get $82 credit, and he said yes. He said the bottle of wine would be an extra $8 and I told him that it would not. He obliged.
OK, let;s get to the atmosphere, food, and service: the atmosphere was billed as a indie-classy joint, especially with the brick, rich colors, darkness (a plus) and the live string quartet (Classical Carnage) playing classic rock. But, I was unaware of the two dozen TV sets that make it more like a sports bar. In fact, the table where we dined had THREE TVs around us. It how I imagine Puff Daddy's breakfast nook looks. I was surrounded by basketball games. If I wanted to be surrounded by black people while I ate I would have gone to Roscoe's.
Think of it as a TGIKVDs. A Thank God it's Kat Von Ds.
We got the calamari to start (see intro) which was so yummy we dug for the crumbs along the salad bed in which it was served. The Pinot Grigio (Rolling Head, Rocking Fish, Toasty Monk, Laughing Toad??) was one of the best wines I've had. (Choking Goose?? Rubbing Pug??)
My ribeye was covered in a pepper garlic sauce. Ask for that shit on the side. It's good but steak shouldn't be served saying "peekaboo" under a comforter of gravy-like sauce. The steak was good though. My Caesar salad was small but good. The garlic mashed potatoes were super cheesy and the bomb.
Our waiter didn't understand the coupon, forgot my salad, forgot my Diet Coke, and failed to tell me that the RibEye does not count for the promotion... but we still tipped him $20, partially to shock him, but mostly because the girl thought he was a cutie-pie who was trying real hard, a total bro saying Awesome! He looked like actor Nicolas d"Agosto from Fired Up and Final Destination 5. Hell, it could have been him.
The manager was super cool and excused the ribeye thing and wine thing and made sure we were happy. We were. I doubt we will return, but the food and service were great and the atmosphere is like a TGIF with a tattoo. Go on a Wednesday when Classical Carnage is playing: that's my recommendation. And get a bottle of Masturbating Chimp to go with it. -

This place is very "goth" and very HB (rather the dark side:) This restaurant/bar is kept very dark, there are bands performing on certain nights which is pretty dun to watch but I would not come here again for the food. The food is ok, but not good, they try to come up with a humongous version of everything. Five layered burgers and gigantic plate of nachos. But one thing is true I would rather choose quality instead of quantity!

Went for the breakfast buffet - ad on their website was misleading. I "assumed" it included unlimited mimosa, bloody Mary bar and build your own omelet. WRONG. $15 for just dried up scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy was a bit much. $5 additional for unlimited mimosa (O.K.) and $5 additional for bloody Mary bar that didn't even have olives. The build your own omelet was a separate entree from the menu. Better off 2 doors down at Black Bull Chophouse - $26.95 for a full BRUNCH menu with unlimited mimosas and 1/2 price if you are a senior.

We came to this place with a YElp deal and used it for dinner since we had attended a charity event earlier in the afternoon @ the Hyatt HB. We have been to many different venues in this spot and this one had a fun vibe. We loved the tattoo themed art on the walls and the drink specials. The one thing we were only ok with was the food. We would definitely come back for the fun atmospher, drinks, dancing, and maybe some appetizers but I dont know if I would select it for a full dinner again. I would be willing to go back and try it again for sure though. We could have possibly just been exhausted for them long festivities of the day at the hotel.

We were led to this restaurant by a Groupon and we were not disappointed. Some pros and cons:
Pros:
-The burgers were really good. Well cooked with great fries. My boyfriend had a stuffed burger and his complaint was that when he bit into it, it exploded through the bottom of the bun and he then had to eat it upside down. But he still says it was a "great burger"!
-The decor is punk rock and a nice change of scenery than we're used to. It was definitely a bar (the slight smell of years of beer spills wafted through the air) but the place was packed and had a nice ambiance.
-Their menu was filled with a lot of different types of food-many of which I would love to eat. I ordered a burger but I was counting down the days until I could return and try another item
-The staff were all very friendly and cordial to us. Great customer service!
Cons:
-We ordered the brownie for dessert and it was dry and burnt in the middle. Not a great ending to a delicious dinner, especially at a place as nice as this.
-We three different people serving us in the beginning: almost as if no one knew who was supposed to be serving us. It took us about 20 minutes extra just to get someone to consistently help us.
Except for a few bumps in the road, we really enjoyed our dinner and would definitely return for a great date night :) -

Well, I had a groupon to use here.....so we decided to try it out. I went here once before the name changed and all and had one of the best steaks ever....so I was looking forward to it.
We both ordered the new york steaks, medium rare...with salads/blu cheese and the french fries.
What we got were two steaks each....thin cut. NOT the new york steak I bar-b-q at home all the time. More like a Carne Asada style. They were bland and for the most part tasteless....and to top it off....barely luke warm.
Blu cheese on the salad was also bleh. Fries had been frozen and tasted like typical fast food fries. Odd for a place that says "99% Fresh" on their menu. 3 items on my plate. That's 33% NOT fresh on my plate.
On the positive side...... The server was attentive and quick......the decor was filled with "tattoo" style art, which was cool. But maybe a little to "Ed Hardy" for my tastes.
My girl took her first drink of her water towards the end of the meal and almost spit it out. Not sure what was wrong with it, but it was BAD. Really BAD. Like......she wanted to leave it was so bad.
I won't be back. -

For the nightlife only: The music is awesome on Saturday nights. I prefer more electro but they mix it up and give me just enough of what I want!! (Even though the bouncer told me not to dance? I couldn't help but dance!) I heard the food is ok. one of the bartenders, gloria, stood out as being super cool. I will come back.

I was a little skeptical coming here on a Thursday night for dinner after reading some of these reviews, and due to the fact that this place has changed a few times in the last couple of years, but I was very surprised because everything was great!
Our server was attentive and friendly and the kitchen brought everything out in good time. I orderd the cash kobabs ($19) which I thought was a little pricy but when I received the portion they were huge! It consisted of 2 kobabs filled with BIG pieces of steak and grilled tomatoes, the plate also had grilled vegetables which were delecious and a cheesy mashed potatoes, which tasted way better than the average mashed potatoes.
During the whole dinner they had rock music playing from a live band, but it was played by a violin, so it was very soothing and nice...nothing loud of extreme. I would definately be back here again. -

This place is amazing. My friends and I went there last night for a 21st birthday and it was so fun. The bartenders are friendly, fast and pour strong drinks. The bouncers are really nice and not huge a**holes like at some of the other bars on Main. I absolutely loved this bar. If you find yourself in Huntington, definitely stop here for a few drinks!

I honestly love this place. It may not be a 5-star, but it is 4.5 and I round up for people who do something different. I find it funky, strange and somehow magical all at once. Not sure what the appeal is. It's just fun. Bizarre art and good food all over the place. They have some amazing sliders here. Hot dog, chili dog, steak, and burger varieties. SOLID and really yummy.
Service is unbeatable and you wouldn't expect that from the place. Live music too--even on a Tuesday night and not obnoxious and loud like you would also expect from the style of the place. It was cool and mellow and RULES!!!!
Way to go there Johnny. We love your bar, and we love your restaurant too. Thanks for not being stuffy and lame or Bro'ed out like the rest of the jackass joints downtown. I effin' hate DTHB. If I wanted trendy I could hang a BJ's or Fred's on the next corner, but if I want cool shit to look at and listen to while I eat some good food--I will be at your place. It's unique in a sea of downtown yawn.Listed in: My 5-star picks

everything about this place is 5 stars!
the food needs no improvement! i had the greens day salad and it was beyond yummy! They're avegned sliders are also really tasty! steak with fresh tomatos, and fresh cheese on a tiny french bread roll! whats not to love!!!!!!
everyone there is beyond GREATand comp they truly believe in great food, great service and beautiful art!
huntington beach really needed a place like this. a place that combines art and food and fun all in one. art is the mere thing that people are forgetting about and if people really took a second to adore the beatiful pieces in 2nd floor they will become more appreciative of art and it's past and present.
this is a great place if your at the beach all day and need to grab some lunch with your family! they cater to all ages!!!! they have a kid friendly menu that allows them to eat things they're familiar with.
just recently found out they have breakfast on sundays! a buffet or you can order off the menu! went on a sunday and created my own omelet! IT WAS SO GREAT!!!!
definatly will bring relatives and friends here!
all in all i'd come back here anyday to eat here! -

3 stars because the promotion people outside were engaging, full of humor, and hooked my friends up with drinks as the night began. The bartenders were also nice and the music was good. Art was edgy, and great patio.
The problem is that the music was too loud to talk, and when a group of party people started dancing, we were all stopped by the security guards. What the hell were we supposed to do then? Can't talk, can't dance....just stare at each other and yell? C'mon it was Friday night!
It would be fantastic to go there if they would clear the tables after 10 PM, or keep the music down and leave the tables for Irish pub style partying. -

I went to this place for a party the other night and what I liked the most about the place was the artwork on the walls! I guess local tattoo artists have some of their artwork here, very cool.
The food was ok but the staff was very nice, making up for the food. Of course, because it was a party I didn't get to choose my own food. Given it was someone else's selection, not bad, I will go back if I am in the area! -

Ok, 4 stars cause the food is downright great. But I can never eat there again.
The obnoxious super loud music just does not make a good dining experience. Seriously.
With food this good they should attract foodies. It feels and sounds like they are trying to attract speed freaks.
Super salad with tender beef on it and a great light dressing and Mexican cheese. Burger with pepper jack cheese in the middle and some mile hot peppers. Great fries.
If I ever go deaf, I'll eat there frequently! -

I ate here on a Sunday night and the place was nearly empty but couldn't find anyone to seat us. The server was very nice/friendly but the music was waaaaaay too loud for an empty restaurant. If the place had been full it would have been fine but I wanted to be able to talk and that was nearly impossible. Menu was just ok, didn't seem to me to have a lot of variety, I suppose if you eat red meat you would be in hamburger heaven but not a lot of options for me. I did get the chicken burger minus the bacon and fried onions and the chicken was a little tough. Probably would not go back again.

I was so nervous about coming here after all the bad reviews - I'm so glad that we still decided to go!
We bought a Spreebird deal for $34 to get a bottle of wine, an appetizer and two entrees on a Wednesday night. Definitely a good deal.
ATMOSPHERE
The pictures on the wall are great; I really want to buy some of them! They had a string quartet playing modern songs starting around 8 pm. Prior to that, the music they were playing wasn't overwhelming at all (prior reviews stated the music is so loud you can't talk, but we didn't find that to be the case).
FOOD
The food portions were huge! We started with the mac and cheese, which has a kick to it and filled us up so much that we didn't think we could eat our dinner. For our entrees, I ordered the Nirvana Burger and my husband ordered the Kobe sliders. Both were amazing. In fact, I took half my burger home to save for lunch the next day and ended up eating it when we got home as I couldn't resist!
SERVICE
I saved the best for last - the service here blew me away. HB is notorious for having incredibly horribly service from its ditsy crew of waiters and waitresses. Brad (I think that was his name; I suck at remembering names) was AMAZING! He was there when he needed to be and gave us privacy when we wanted it. He even checked on the other tables around us that weren't assigned to him to make sure they were having a good time. Another diner called him over to tell him how great of a guy he was and he made their meal, even though he wasn't serving them. Brad's service definitely made our night even more enjoyable. And he didn't seem to be the only great person working there. Gloria, the bartender, is super friendly, the guy with the beard who delivered our meal has a cool personality and the other waitress seemed on top of her game, too. I never thought I'd find good service in HB, but this place did it.
I found my new favorite restaurant on Main St. that has it all! -

I don't usually give a place a low score from one experience. And I think separating service and food is important. Also, I will be completely fair in this story.
I went to dinner at 2nd Floor with my girlfriend. We had a great coupon. For about $38, you got a bottle of wine, 2 dinners and an appetizer. Here's what was wrong:
1) The dinners came out about 1 minute after the appetizer.
2) My Kash Kabobs (steak kabobs) were cold and the meat was already a day or two past. I still have a stomach ache a day later.
3) I found a piece of metal in my mouth, which came off of a Jalapeño popper that I was chewing on. When I told my waiter, the manager investigated and said that it must have come off the fry basket. They buy frozen poppers, doctor them up, and fry them. When they banged the basket to get the grease off, it broke.
4) To make up for the metal in the food, they first offered to buy us a desert. We were full and the waiter said none of their deserts are good to take home because they will "melt." So we declined. Instead, the manager just charged us $20.00 for the meal.
Now, I know how people in food service feel about coupons. I used to wait tables and bartend. But as an establishment, you need to treat all customers equal, or don't give out / sell coupons. Also, if it was my restaurant, and a fry basket broke off into someone's food, I would comp their whole meal and ask them to please come back and give our place another try. That's just me. So for service, I give them 0 stars.
Like I said earlier in the post, the steak was bad and cold and the poppers were just purchased as frozen. Oh yeah, and my girlfriends salmon was so dry it was inedible. So for food, I give them 2 stars. That makes their total review 1 star.
I waiter was cool and admitted at one point that his cooks were terrible. So I gave him a good tip (20% of what the original bill would have been).
I've eaten here before. For bar food, the sliders, hot dogs, and nachos are decent. But don't get an entre. -

Quite honestly I felt a little misled by the ART in their name. I mean.. I guess it's art.. but it really looked like one wall to wall tribute to ed hardy. It's 'cool' but when the next trend wave comes through, I bet (hope) they'll be changing their look. There are alot of other amazing local artists out there that would rock the hell out of the wallspace 2nd Floor has to offer.
While the staff and service totally deserve a few more stars than I'm giving as a whole, their "ambiance" and high prices takes'um away. That's really it for me.. surprisingly. I wasn't impressed with the masses of bros lingering about and the total lack of parking, or basically anything we saw on the walls. And I fully realize parking will always be an issue, and that HB is a bro-haven, I was just expecting a little more from 2nd floor than the usual crowd is all. -

Ive come here 2x for art shows and wont be back. 1st trip stayed 1hr 30min didnt eat just drinks. I had a stella and my date had a Sailor Jerry and coke. She pefers that brand of rum but some pkaces dont carry it so i ordered capt. N coke. The bartender told me they dont carry capt. Asked if sailor was ok. I had no problem but wondered how they didnt carry capt. Its like having whiskey and not carry Jack Daniels. We left after drinks cus the art show was a 6'x6' space and we had a tired kid. 2nd time here Food wasn't anything to write home about. We both ordered the Nirvana burger we heard so much about. Better burgers at 5guys Red Robin or Islands and im sure Slater's 50/50. Another small art show. We ordered something for the kiddo and am impressed they actually have a kids men(+). But no milk in the whole place (-). We ate stayed for dessert. Their version of Bjs Pazookie which ain't too bad :) and headed home before the drinkers showed up. So many better places to go eat at. I wont be back here and I guess ill have to look else where for my art shows.
