Alanna is a genius! I've seen people gasp and get all teary eyed when they see her results for the first time: "OMG, I never knew I could look that good!" is the typical reaction. She can make the average that we all are into the special we all want to be.
Being a photographer is not just about having a camera or knowing Photoshop, as any of us who have tried will attest. Alanna speaks photography, she makes the camera sing. Together they have this weird little dance going on, and together they tease out your inner supermodel.
Alanna has a way of bringing the best out in you while the dance is going on. She engages you with warmth, enthusiasm and vitality; with her you somehow believe you're much prettier than you ever did before - you know something special is going to happen, and the inevitable result is that it does!
Last point, very important - Alanna is not the all too common "artistic flake"; she's reliable, consistent, and on time!

Alanna did family photos for my Christmas cards in 2010. She captured beautiful pictures of my daughter and us as a family that I will treasure for life. She has a very warm heart that allows you to be your best self in front of the camera, she is also very professional and talented in her craft.
I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for the best. -

Incredibly talented, professional and driven, Alanna with 2ndChakraStudio is passion expressed in art. No matter what the project, Alanna goes above and beyond the standard frame and gets the job done well.
The post production is incredible in that there is little changed to keep the real life quality alive. Alanna's work is really photo therapy. Can't say enough how driven she is at what she does. I don't think there is a shoot that 2ndChakraStudio can't accentuate. I am eager to see the world experience this art. -

Like most people, i find it difficult to enjoy photos of myself. I see so many flaws. But after spending a session with Alanna I am completely at ease. It's more than technique. Alanna has a way of pulling out your best. Maybe it's because it's so easy to work with her. Or maybe it's the way she see's you. Whatever it is, she's a tremendous photographer with a great eye and a calming professional manner.

Alana took all my headshots for my new website AND shot my videos. I was absolutely over the moon with the way everything turned out. The quality of the photos and videos are top notch. Even better, Alana has an amazing way of bringing the best out of me. Her presence, the way she engaged with me and how comfortable she made me feel was just as vital to the shoot as the lighting and the camera. Alana is a truly gifted photographer and an incredible person. I recommend her to everyone!

I had the pleasure of working with Alanna on a magazine shoot, and it was perhaps the most fun I've ever had being photographed. Alanna has an easy, open vibe as well as a fabulous eye - when I saw the final shots printed and glossy, I couldn't help but feel that she saw (and captured!) what is most 'me' about me. I felt beautiful, and I have her to thank!
