Review from Whorechata J.

I got propositioned here as an actual hooker! Like, someone offered me money for sex. It was so weird. Then he tried to grab my arm and the security told him to get away from me. Totes love it.
Also, I am totally like the hottest shit in this place since I am the only white person apparently, so I get flowers, and security follows me around so when men ask me to dance they act like my own personal body guard inquiring if I really want to dance with them, and then encouraging them to buy me tequila. AWESOME.
So yeah. I like attention; and any place that makes me feel better about myself. THANK YOU 26 MIXListed in: Places I make an ahole out of…

Review from Myka S.

This was a few weeks ago.
Been here an hour and a half so far. Thoughts to now;
Omg it's a tiny bar, no dance floor to actually salsa.
Crap it's loud.
OMG I can't breathe.
Why are the girls dressed like its Vegas?
Why does every guy in this place give me creeper vibe?
I have to be here 3 hours? No!!!!
Oh well, the security guy is nice.
Wait...all the slutty looking chicks are the waitresses? Why are they dancing with the patrons?
Why is the bartender out drinking on the floor?
I am the only white girl. No, the only white PERSON.
My guy is the only black guy besides his band mate.
Why is there a chick in gold boots dancing on stage w the salsa band? There are three!
20 min later...place still empty.
Five bartenders for five people sitting at the bar.
Basically a 1 :1 ratio employees to patrons.
The break dancing guy works here too?
Water is $4. I have $3. Shit.
Come on 1am!
I hope I never, ever enter this place again. -

Not exactly the best spot for first date drinks, but just because a relationship begins here doesn't mean it's completely doomed. It might, however, mean that you end up at Emmy's Spaghetti Shack on date number two. It could be worse, right?
All told, 26 Mix is a pretty friendly place, and when you get lucky the music's good enough to make you want to dance. -

Ugh. If you enjoy this place, I'd like to punch you.
What neighborhood wouldn't be just delighted to have a club producing drunken fights, occasional spouse abuse and jerks vomiting on the sidewalks near by? I know I was psyched but I finally checked the place out for myself since there have been some good reviews of this place, I thought maybe there was something to this place.
I decided to check this place out the other evening before things got out of control. For the past year or so, this place has been a haven for violent jackass drunks puking and fighting before hopping in their cars to swerve their way home at closing time. After being greeted by a cop with a metal detector (awesome), I didn't even stay for a drink. Maybe it was the smell, maybe it was the horrible music, maybe it was the attitude toward me as an outsider but this place sucks. -

Once an upscale dance club/lounge, Club 26 Mix has faded into a typical though gigantic dive bar. A remnant of its more festive days, a long dance floor and stage were positioned in the center of the space with booth seating lining the edge. Somewhat out of place, two pool tables were crammed into the rear of the room.

I like this place. A little bit of a dive, a little bit of the mission. I would go to this place more often except it's way out there. The cover is something I'm not down for...don't really think there is merit for it but everyone's gotta make a living. Check it out next time your down there or make the trek. I think it will be worth it.

Review from Bella B.
So my gf drug me out to have some fun, we started off at Cava22 and ended up here (don't ask).. Me and the girls pretty much just walked in and headed for the bathroom (ok that really needs some revamping!) and then one of the girls that works there asked us where we wanted to sit....we grabbed a booth and chairs and ordered some drinks.
The music (DJ) was HELLA LOUD and it was only like 8pm so nobody was dancing (that changed soon as my gf's got up to dance) and soon arrived the drinks...ah tequila!
I had not seen my friend Vivi for like a year, and she had her cousin Livi with her so it was really fun, I invited my friend Carlos and we met a few random dudes (THANKS LIVI!) that turned out to be pretty cool guys. The security guards there are hella friendly and 2 of them and I chatted a bunch (that is another story folks lol).
So the night was a hit for the most part...I agree with La C. I found this place to be interesting and fun! I would go there again...all the staff were hella chill!Listed in: Best Happy Hour

Ohkay! So I've been told by my latino friends (yes guys) to go here....and some of them say not to...well being that I have some crazy lady friends...okay well just one but she's always fun! We decided to go and check it out. The first time was okay, nothing really special except they didn't have vodka but the ladies behind the bar were really nice. The second time we went....I got hit on by dudes while my bf was there (tsk tsk-them guys have no shame), given a flower, and was asked to dance numerous times. The security guards are very tentative and anytime a guy approached our table they were there by our side like our own secret service. THANKS GUYS, YOU ARE NOT ONLY FRIENDLY BUT YOU MADE US FEEL SAFE! They also had vodka so my friend was happy even though we stuck with tequila & coronas. The music was fricken loud but it was "bonita". Next time we go back I'm taking advantage of their pool tables. Also the waitress's are really nice. There's one we call "mama" because when we went back twice in one night she always took care of us...and made my bf buy us drinks! The decor could use some work..its so dark in there but don't change the bathrooms..they are pretty kewl!

3.5 stars. i didn't think this place existed anymore. i used to come here pretty regularly when my friends would spin hip hop/soul/reggae a while back. the drinks were stiff and not expensive which was nice.
one time i came with my friends and my little sister who was drunkety drunk drunk by the time i met up with her. we sat on the couches and watched as she proceeded to pass out in a very lady-like manner. she was on a chair with her legs crossed, eyes closed. periodically, she pulled at her skirt so as not to have a has been pop princess moment. she never fell over, uncrossed her legs or opened her eyes. amazing! i don't know where she learned that.
i remember the drinks being cheap, the music good, the bathroom disgusting and seeing pros with buttless pants walking around while i looked for parking. what's not to like? -

Not the best bar ever. But great for the area, great for the soul nights. Went with a group of out of towners, probably no the greatest place for tourists but it gave us a chance to be somewhere that wasn't too "WELCOME TO SF." Just remember to close your tab, had a friend leave her card there the night before she flew out of state... didn't get it until the manager was in two days later, no fault of the manager's mind you.

I visted recently after not having been in years, but it still seems to be a decent place. However charging a hefty cover at 1am with a fairly empty bar seemed a bit off.

Review from La C.
San Francisco, CA
Interesting... um yeah interesting... I personally had a good time at this place... it helps that I know people there so our party didn't pay a dam thing. We had bottle service, a personal waitress and a fun time people watching. I'm not sure I would pay the $10 cover under normal circumstances for this bar but I understand why its charged. This place has a mixture of DJ music and live band (Latin). I thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, the band was excellent. And I really loved the DJ played a large variety of Reggeaton. I think I would come back for more fun.
