Review from James L.
I'll keep this short... but out of all of the karaoke joints in the Garden Grove area, this one is my favorite.
Big rooms, nice service (special requests made), and reasonable price. The only problem that I've found with this particular place is that they rarely, if ever, update their music. Their latest American song might very well be...I can't think that far back. I've noticed that the music hasn't changed over the course of a year since I discovered this place.
Otherwise, a nice joint if you feel like singing and don't mind the limited song selection. -

Fifi N is correct, this place is no longer a karaoke place. Planned a night of Kbbq and karaoke, so after we had KBBQ next door we rolled over here to sing. It is now called Club Zeus, and even though it says Music Studio on the outside, we walked in and this lady rushed up on us and asked us what we wanted. We asked her if we can karaoke and she shook her head violently and said NOOOOO (insert fobby korean accent here). I felt like we just walked in on something we weren't supposed to. On the way out I took a peek down the hall and saw a couple girls wearing ho gear coming out of the "private" rooms. AWKWARD....

All karaoke places seem the same to me.
We came here since we wanted to burn off some calories after AYCE K-BBQ, and one of our friends never karaoked before. WHAT?! We were determined to take her karaoke-ginity.
The guy helping us seemed annoyed by us. We had to choose between the system with a variety of Asian songs and limited English songs or the system with updated Korean and English songs. We wanted both. We ended choosing the English and Korean since we wanted updated English songs.
Prices were comparable to other karaoke places. Songs were fairly updated. Too bad we can't have both systems. -
Review from David G.
"Hey! What's up, man? Long time, no see."
"Oh, sorry. This no longer karaoke."
"But I hear people singing in there."
"No karaoke. You get table with plate of fruit and bottle of Crown for $300."
"Oh, so this is a booking club now?"
"No. Not booking club. If you pay more we get girls to hang out with you. It's too expensive for you."
"Oh! So this is a hostess club now!"
"Uhh. No."
"So you sell overpriced alcohol with a plate of fruit to sit at a table to sing and pay more money to hang out with girls, but it's not a booking or hostess bar. Did I get this right?"
"Sorry, maybe next time."
25Si is no more. It's some mysterious place called Zeus Studio or some shit like that. Same guy runs it. He's usually more friendly and speaks way better English. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and only knocking it down 2 stars. He had a worried look on his face implying it wasn't a good time to be in there. I'm gonna assume that either Jabba the Hut or some drunken Asian mafia was in there at the time.Listed in: My liver wants a divorce.

Awesome things about 25si and other things you should know about Hazel's birthday evening:
(also reference hazel's review: http://www.yelp.com/bi...)
-Built in applause at the press of a button.
-Hazel likes random hand-clapping. A lot of it.
-I do not read Korean and the remote is not very intuitive.
-There's a "I need help" buzzer.
-The man up front is very helpful. You should ask for help sooner.
-They have Hite!
-I did not know I liked Soju, but I do now!
-I am easily amused.
-The man up front might get sick of you pressing that button.
-The man up front warms up to you after your 3rd hour.
-Your private room isn't really sound proof.
-The man was totally cool with us ordering pizza.
-Pizza Hut had suprisingly good chicken wings.
-Maybe I was drunk.
-If you save the man a slice of pizza, he might throw in some free raspberry wine.
-This place is a lot of fun. -
Review from Hazel Q.
I went back to 25Si for a birthday visit (mine, not theirs...why would I celebrate their birthday? Are you crazy?) this past weekend and, I must say, just as much Hite-y fun was had in a small room with six people singing.
In fact, this time we bugged the poor guy running the place even more. It went something like this.
Scene: About 10 minutes after arrived and pounding on the karaoke remote like bewildered cavemen.
Me: We've gotta ask the dude about it.
Mike: Push the button.
Me: No way. You push the button, Dex.
Dex: Should I push the button? ...ok
Minutes later -
Dude: It's easy, push this button and push this button. Bam!
Us: Awwwwesome!
Minutes later -
Me: This really is a bit loud for my liking - and that echo is a little annoying.
Mike: Push the button.
Me: No way. You push the button, Dex.
Dex: Should I push the button? ...ok
Seconds later -
Me: Ummm...it's a smidge loud - and too echoey.
Dude: Ok. (twiddles some knobs, very discreetly)
Minutes later -
Me: Hite!
Dex: (pushes button)
Minutes later -
Dude: (comes with armful of Hite!)
Minutes later -
Me: I'm hungry. These shrimp chips aren't cutting it. Think we can order a pizza here?
Mike: Push the button.
Me: No way. You push the button, Dex.
Dex: Should I push the button? ...ok
Minutes later....
Dex pushes the button again.
Me: Hmmm...he must have given up on us.
And scene.
For those of you who must know the ending, we did order our pizza the dude running the place was very helpful and even gave us some awful raspberry wine on the house. But it was free!Listed in: Karaoke in OC and LB

I would have given you all 5 stars had all of the television screens worked!!! But alas, the blacked out screen in the top right corner plagues you 25Si!!!
So I came here and don't remember too much of the evening other than ordering a lot of soju and then smuggling in beer, whiskey, cake, and cupcakes. Yes, a great time was had by all, accentuated by the disco/fog machine. At first I was apprehensive with only 12 people for the big room but by the end of the night, we easily fit up to 30 people in the room singing/screaming at the top of our lungs.
Most memorable songs of the evening (that I can remember) included: Complicated - Avril Lavigne, Pop Goes My Heart - Hugh Grant (Music and Lyrics), and 9 to 5 - Dolly Parton. The men's bathroom is pretty clean...and I know this because I somehow found myself in there after slipping out of the room to avoid drinking more cups of soju & beer (mixed together mind you). Service is really attentive....attentive enough to know we snuck in our own booze. They kindly pulled our one Korean friend aside and told her that we can't pull that kind of schtick next time. But other than that, hassle free! Non-stop soju service! Once you learn how to use the remote, that's pretty easy too!!!
Next time...assuming there will be a next time and we weren't banned from this establishment...hop on the soju express and pop a $5 into the Disco/Fog Machine!!! -

For some reasons I always have a different mindset and impressions about what a karaoke bar would look like. I just never imagine that there is a place that will give you a private room at giving you a shot at bellowing out tunes and let you boogie down without being too public.
That was the whole thing that gets me about this place. Whenever the OC peeps wants to do a karaoke, I was always imagining at going to a place like Cafe Brass Monkey in K-town where you will have to test the nerves of being in front of the public. You get a cheesy little teleprompter and then need to bellow out in front of live loud audience. It can rattle a few brains and nerves. I actually people having a shake before their big performance
It works a little differently at this location. As many have pointed out in their reviews, you get a private and almost sound-proof room. You can also do some silly little dance or form a conga line in the comfort of a reasonable living room size den with a window that can only be view by very few prying eyes. There's no audience pressure. No noisy sounds. Plus supportive crowd to calm your nerves.
Oh yeah...I sang three songs and did a few dance where probably only one or two people had noticed. No videos that can be found at Youtube. So I'm pretty sure I'm safe for the day.
The amenity included a few sofa seats depending how big of a room. Plus a big screen TV with many screens to go with your karaoke needs. There are usually two microphones, two main controllers for the songs and sound, and two big books of song selections.
The songs are usually mainstream music with a section of Korean songs too. For some stupid reasons, Madonna, Spice Girls, and boy band songs are popular choices at these Karaoke outings. Be warned that the 80's are the new 90's. It can get really ugly watching these kids trying to bellow oldie tunes. LOL
I'll give them major props for keeping the place clean and making the room very posh enough to make it comfortable and relaxing. People can just sit back and lounge while watching their compadres performed up at the front stage. There's even a stool for sitting.
I'm not quite sure about the price quotes, but according to AJ K., she listed the price of the big room (holds 20-30 people) to be $60 per hour with extras for drinks and food. The more people come, the less of the cost per average.
If you ever wanted to test out your metal by seeing you can cut it, then by all means come to this place and test your liver in front of your close pals. Then you can decide if you want to let the public hear your pipes.
For what it's worth, I had a blast coming here celebrating Judy H.'s birthday and I couldn't believe I know the words to some cheesy 90's boy band song. eeek. Thank goodness in that no evidence can be found.Listed in: Places My Mom Do Not Know…, I want to be a SUPERSTAR!

"tonight, I celebrate my love for you"..my OC yelpers..
Big ups to the OCY AYCD UYE turned AYCS noreabang in...guess what....not Ktown, but Garden Grove!!! That's right...no more drinking ridiculous amounts of soju/hite and braving the drive back home!!! Now singing is just in my backyard!!!
Oh how do you compare? You still have all the cheesy love songs I like to belch! Yet, Greg still rocked my world with Barbie Girl...and Serina spat mad rhymes a la Jay Z...all being roomy enough for Dave G and Lisa V to do the tango... I put this place up against the Ktown joints any day! Don't be intimidated if you're not Korean (none of us were...well except Lisa V..she's a halfy), there's enough jams for all languages.
How was it priced? Much better than Ktown joints! 150 bucks for 3 hours plus 10+ beers, bottle of soju, and a waiter who is at your beck & call with a single press of a button!!!
What are you waiting for!?!?!??!?! If you're reading this, go and check it out!
I'm the worst singer...but if you have mad skillz, you can bring your date here and serenade her with the cheesiest rendition of any Savage Garden song...all in the courtesy of a private room...and liquor too. =) -

You want Coolio's Gangster Paradise-they go it...
What about Mr. West's Stronger-yup that too...
Feeling Romantical?? They have Stevie's Ribbon In The Sky
A family Fourth of July classic--The Wonders That Thing You Do
The best Christmas song--yup they have Beyonce's Irreplaceable
Feel like butchering the worst song ever written that is so much fun to sing--yes folks they have Paris Hilton's Stars are Blind
This place is seriously THE http://bomb.com! I was feeling under the weather but couldn't bear to miss my best friend's Alan J's karaoke birthday bash--and I'm glad I forced myself to go.
First let me back track. The owner of the place only speaks Korean so it was hard to communicate. I turned to one of my Korean speaking friends to ask all the questions and make reservations for 8pm. We were set up for a room and we were allowed to bring in outside food but no outside alcohol--fair enough. The party arrives at around 8:15 and come to find out the room won't be ready until 9. I have my Korean friend call and ask the owner WTF is going on. He accommodates us immediately and gives us a bigger room-SCORE!!
It was like a mini-family party in there with the Bahn Mi, spring rolls, Palabok and empanada, along with the alcohol and karaoke. Since the host of the party likes to break the rules sometimes, she managed to smuggle a couple bottles of alcohol. The owner did not give us any crap about bringing outside alcohol as he cleaned up around the bottles of Patron--what a cool dude!
The light up tambourine was so cool--I wanted to steal it. The fog/light machine in the corner was even cooler! I want one of these for Christmas. The lights are in sync with the music, so if the song has a good beat the lights go crazy! Parking may be a pain depending on the time and day you decide to visit this place. There are 2 KBBBQ place next door which I will try the next time I'm in a karaoke-ing mood. -
Review from Judy H.
I'm not a virgin to Karaoke in a private room. I actually prefer it...that is if you're with the right group of people of course. 25Si Karaoke was an impulsive second stop to Friday night's UYE. I was definitely with the right group of people.
I don't remember the ones in LA serving alcohol, since we had to sneak in our own bottles back in the day. Here, we were able to order Hite and Soju with just the push of a button. They also gave us complimentary Fried Shrimp Chips...which can hurt when people decide to start throwing them down your shirt.
There are probably about a dozen rooms. We were put in a smaller one, which had plenty of space for the 9 of us. The 9 small TV screens were put together side by side like tic-tac-toe. I didn't flip through the book too much so I don't know if they had songs in anything other than English and Korean.
The bathrooms were kept clean and smelled good too. That's always a plus when you've just come from an AYCD UYE. Being 10 minutes away from my house, is another plus too. Thanks Tony for another fun night!

UPDATE: 1/16/08
I really want to upgrade them to the full 5 stars, but I just can't do it. I finished off my birthday night here on Saturday and it was wonderful (mostly thanks to Tony). The large room handled my group of 20 quite nicely. The lovely AJ even called a few days ahead to reserve the room for me. But I just can't do the five stars because the TV screens are always so blurry. Out of the dozen or so screens, there's usually only 1 or 2 with the screen clear enough for you to read the words. When you're drinking...that's not very helpful. Plus, they need to widen their English song selection...then I'll give them 5 stars. Sorry 25si. I do love you and I will be back. =)Listed in: UYEs, Good for Groups

"No no drama.... we don't need no drama"
That's why I love this place. It's a decent size, clean bathrooms, and no drama! There's always drama at no re bang's (aka karaoke bars/rooms). Being that nrb's are the next stop according to the drinking schedule, drunk bastards (yes, girls can be bastards too) tend to start shit - guy vs guy, girl vs guy, girl vs girl, guy vs door, girl vs bathroom.
"Money for nothing and your chicks for free"
Well, actually, you do get something and sorry, no free chicks! The room rates are resonable priced. The largest room can fit about 20-30 people and goes for $60/hr. The smaller rooms fit about 5-8 and go for less. The system is pretty clear and loud, which is good. You do have to pay for the light show smoke machine. However, you do get shrimp chips for free :o)
"Don't stop believing~~~~~~ Hold on to that feeeeeeling!"
Pretty good song selection I must say. They have new songs like Britney Spears' Gimme More (oh yea we all love that one), but they didn't have some of the oldy but goodies that I liked :o( Karaoke song selection is a skill that can only be sharpened by regular trips to nrb's. Please no Hotel California or Bohemian Rhapsody or I will *cancel* your ass and throw the remote at your head. Your friends can only politely wait through 4-5mins of your singing, we didn't ask for the 10min extended version.
Oh 25si... thank you so much for putting up with our shenanigans. You are always so good to us and no matter how sucky our day might have been. You have us leaving with big smiles, alcohol breath, and sore throats singing..... *drums* ........

Holy crap this was a lot of fun.
I have never before been to real, authentic Karaoke before (yeah yeah, I'm a failed Korean dilution), and I was basically bribed in to going in the first place. I had no idea what I was expecting, but it most certainly wasn't what I got...and that's a GOOD thing.
I hear the phrase 'karaoke bar', I think of a bar with karaoke: what I grew up with. Instead, I found a bunch of private rooms (the popularity on a Thursday night surprised me), some able to fit a couple dozen people, with an incredible song list. And boy did we have a good time. While I'm still not sure about some of the things I witnessed, the machine rated me at 100 for Piano Man, which made me happy and inflated my ego (and the rating up from 4.5).
With my authentic style karaoke cherry popped, I can say that I would be willing to come back for more. I had fun and that's the name of the game. -

Thumbs up to OC Yelpers! As we entered the great wall of Orange County, we attended Judy's bday bash here to sing a happy bday and to blurt out some tunes with some karaoke. Upon entering this place, I noticed rooms are large and are quite well setup for the modern day karaoke singer. Tony was most gracious with his open bar bar-tending skills and made sure we were all filled with liquid courage before taking stage in our large pimped out room. We as always rocked the house and for about 4.5 hours at $20 a head, this was a killer deal including drinks and a fantastic time with the OC Yelp crew.
Rooms here for karaoke are large and there are about 10+ rooms all together with each having multiple plasma displays and some with certain special effects machines.....(disco lights, laser shows, audience clapping sound-bytes)
Overall a fantastic place to go to with a group of friends or in this case friends and Yelpers and I look forward as well as all my fellow LA Yelpers to coming back here in the OC to enjoy another fun night of Yelping and good times! -
Review from Anita L.
I got one question for the boys....... why so depressing? Our group of 15+ got the largest room at 25si (what kind of effed up name is that?) and while the gals were taking their time to peruse the big book of songs, the boys had profusely entered songs and started to sing. And sing they did .... verrrrrrrrry depressing songs.
By the time How to save a life by The Frays came on, I was ready to slit my throat. The gals and I went on a mission to select some fun filled songs to bring the mood back up.
Girls just wanna have fun, Mama Mia, Dancing Queen, I will Survive .... yes I will survive this messed up collection of downers. We brought the mood back up only to be brought back down again. It was totally messed up by the dudes. Why are they singing these depressing songs? Are they THAT depressed?
Finally we picked Celebration by Kool and the Gang and after that the gals got up to leave before we could be brought back down again by yet another knife to the heart song.
We get outside and my friend was haggling with the owner about cost. He wanted to charge per/head, what the hell was up with that? In the end he charged us $60/hour for the room, so total was $181. What is the one dollar for???? Never could figure that one out.
The song selection was pretty weird too .... nothing exciting -- well I'm speaking for the girls ..... the guys were probably so happy (oh what an oxymoron) to find those sad sad songs to wail their hearts out to. OK, maybe not ALL the guys, just Frank K.
It was fun nevertheless. It was a 3 star, but I had so much fun I'm giving them an extra star even though it had nothing to do with the place at all. I'd come back again if they take care of the AC problem there. It was frigging hot as hell in that room -- and NO Jason, it WASN'T you. HAHAHAHA!!! -

OKay What made me a karaoke Queen you ask... (play along even if you didn't) Singing my heart out to Boney M's Bahama Mama... A sound proof room That's what!!! Unfortunately there was a horrible rendition of R. Kelly's Ignition which was definitely the opposite of the remix... Which really threw me off... If I had known how to translate the song books I may have found some hidden Wu-Tang but grrr to no avail did I find my group :( I had a blast though from singing Creep with all the girls to hanging outside with other fellow yelpers getting great dating advice I had a blast... Can't wait till the next Karaoke night...
P.S.-- Thanks for tolerating all my songs that I definitely can't sing LOL... I love you guys!!! -

Wow going to sing karaoke 3 times in a week...that's like a record for me. Especially since the last time I went before this week was a year ago. Anyways the good thing about going to a UYE is if you drink so much that you can't remember where you went or what happened, you can just come here and read about it from fellow yelpers, lolz. I was like dang we went out to Garden Grove? I rapped to Jay-Z? I do remember getting pelted with shrimp chips though.
Anyways this place gets 5 stars just cuz it serves alcohol. Plus the selection of songs is pretty good and the rooms are very nice and clean. -
Review from Ryan M.
How did they come up with the name of this place?
Did they find 25 Honda Civic Si's parked in the parking lot, before construction and making it the official spot for import racers? Or maybe, I'm just imagining things (yeah that's it). Well its been a while since coming here (for Ankur's supposed Farewell Party at the time). But after the Go Goo Ryeo feast (with Judy's infamous cupcakes), I couldn't help but step into another Karaoke spot with flare.
Needless to say like most places in my hood of Garden Grove, the employees are pretty reasonable with costs of the soju and the per hourly rate of singing karaoke. There's a plethora of instruments to be utilized if you feel the need to make more noise (tambourines were the weapon of choice the last time I went there). Even a fog machine, dispels the smoke, while the strobe lights settle you in, giving you that Korean Pop Star feel (Rain eat your heart out Sucka)!
Give me a Mic, some Changmisu (to get me plastered or really tipsy)l, Hyori Lee, and my favorite John Legend song and turn the lights off in this place....word to Ne-Yo, and I'm ready to hit the stage. Gam Sap Hanida 25Si! -
Review from Matthew K.

$120 for 2 hours of drunken singing (excluding alcohol)... not bad since we were able to fit in 15 people in the room. Lots of beer and soju equals lots of terrible singing. If you can withstand your friend's singing go here.
But if you plan on staying sober... don't even bother.... I had to listen to David B sing and I will never hear songs in the same way ever agin. Hahaha... Jk David.
Area of improvement would include:
none broken TVs
better english song selection
better ventilation (it was hot)
even better ventilation (don't turn on the smoke machine)
employee with better English skills (good thing I speak Korean)
Even with some short comings, a good times were had by all. Happy birthday Wes! -

Sing, Sing, Sing!
I came here with a large group of friends to celebrate a birthday, after eating KBBQ in the same plaza. We had booked the room a couple weeks in advance. They had no problem accommodating our party of 9.
The rooms are pretty nice and differ in size. They also have smoke/fog machine for a price (5 bucks) and lasers. They also had a large selection of songs.
Bonus...The best thing I liked about this place, other than they can accommodate large parties, was the booze. They had beer and soju for us. -

White boys and Korean karoake. It's like peanut butter and jelly.
This place was pretty cool. Did you guys know that there's karaoke places that you have your own private room!? You did? Of course you did. Apparently, I'm the only person on the face of the planet who didn't know spots like this exist. I always assumed all karaoke places are like Dimples in Burbank. Guess not. Close the blinds baby, daddy's going to do a little dance.
We ended up at this joint after a AYCD YOCHH UYE..(haha) and we rocked it.. being in that dark room watching really weird videos that aren't actually set to the songs made me feel more drunk that I was. I was on water after the AYCD but some people had some soju brought to the room.
Tony paid for everything so i don't know how spendy this place was (thanks Tony, your first lap dance is on me), but it was very nice inside, very clean, and well taken care of. It almost beat going to a strip club. Why does no one like my suggestions? -

I've heard of this place before, but had never gone ... Until this last Friday. I went with my boyfriend, brother and two other friends. The place was easy to find, only a few minutes off the freeway. J (my boyfriend) and I, arrived just after everyone else got there and the guy at the counter, already knew what room to lead us to and then almost immediately came back to the room and dropped off a few beer, a small bowl of pretzels, peanuts and shrimp chips.
The guy at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. Within minutes after asking for more beer and Soju (mixed with mango and Guava juices), they were placed in front of us.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The remote control was in Korean, but it wasn't a big deal because it wasn't hard to figure out which buttons to push. I would have given this place 5 stars if it had a more extensive playlist (it was kind of small) and if it had more than one bathroom.
I am definitely planning on going back in a few weeks!Listed in: The Places I Go Out, Karaoke Spots

Pros: Large rooms, great for birthday parties, soju, fog machine
Cons: $60 per hour for the large room (although with a lot of people that's not bad at all).
I went here the other day with some friends for Vanessa N.'s birthday party and we had a blast.
25Si is your typical Korean-owned karaoke joint. Most of the songs are in Korean, but there's a small section in the song book dedicated to English only songs. We were singing hits that ranged from "I'll Make Love to You" to "Bohemian Rhapsody". Classic. Anyway, the fun was "enhanced" due to the fact we bought a couple bottles of soju (and even secretly brought in our own liquor).
In their large room, we probably crammed about 20-30 people somewhat comfortably. According to Vanessa N., the price per hour was $60. If everyone chips in, the cost really isn't that bad.
Overall, great place if you're looking for a change for scene on the weekend.Listed in: Fun Places in the OC

We had a good time here... they have a great selection of songs from the 80s and 90s in both English, Korean and Chinese. Which worked out perfect for our group. It's about $30/hour. The rooms are private, so you don't have to be worried about being a fool in front of anyone but friends.
Fun Evening Plan:
1) Dinner: Eat at Kaju Tofu
2) Coffee and desserts: go next door to Yun Patisserie
3) Karaoke: head one block down to 25Si KaraokeListed in: Things to do in Orange County…

My friends and i wanted to go karaoke'n so i figured, why not check yelp. So i came upon this place since it had good reviews and seemed legit. I went here last night (friday) and it was so much fun! There were suprisingly a lot of rooms either for small groups or big groups.
My group had about 7 people so we had to get the $40/hour room. It had a big screen with the buttons in korean underneath. There were two microphoes that had long cords so we could sing from the couch. There were 3 song list books and there were about a billion songs. The song list was pretty good and i got to even sing "Dick in a box." LOL. There is also a "service" button that you can use if you have any problems or want something to drink. Also if you want, you can bring food into your little room, but not drinks.
The real only problem was that the remote control was in Korean. So make sure you ask how it works lol. Also i forgot to ask the guy how to turn the volume down because no one could hear a thing when someone was singing.
Me: i want to sing #20556.
Friend: What!
Me: I WANT TO SING #20556!
Friend: WHAT!
Me: GIVE ME THE REMOTE!!!
There was a machine on the side that has a light show and i think a fog machine. You have to pay for it though, i forgot how much it was. I wanted to try it, but we really didn't need it. -

There is a robot thing in the corner that you can pay to spit fog, lasers and strobes while you drink strawberry soju and try to keep pace with "Thank God I'm a Country Boy." Lots of rooms, clean and relatively cheap. A lot of songs to choose from, although some key songs are missing.
I didn't know Karaoke had ratings like Guitar Hero did for the vocals.
We were able to make a reservation for a Saturday night in April by paying $20.
The most random thing is the videos, you will be singing the lyrics to some ballad and there will be hula dancers or deer running across the screen. Random but makes for great laughs.Listed in: Yes, there is life in Garden…

-1 star for their lack of selection, and -1 for the remotes that are only in korean!
Kinda harsh, I know, but I kept pushing the wrong buttons on the remote and had my songs cleared from the playlist. The rooms are clean, the service is good, and the room is big with lights and junk (10bucks for 40 mins).
I'll pass on my knowledge of the rules of karaoke:
1) always have a song in the playlist; no downtime!
2) Play upbeat songs; no sad and lonely songs that no one knows!
3) put on a show! you're a rock star!
4) if it's your first time at sing club, you have to sing!
Awesome yelpers also help make the night a blast. (-:
Rock on, you rockstar! -

"Mama ooo,
Didnt mean to make you cry-
If Im not back again this time tomorrow-
Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters..."
Bohemian Rhapsody was our ending song after two hours of intensive singing/yelling! 25Si Karaoke is such a jewel in the middle of Garden Grove. We made reservations for 10 o'clock on a Friday night for room #3, but upon arrival room #4 was definitely more appealing to our party of 13 people! It was $50/hour, and this room was notably spacious and clean!! They even had a fog machine!!! Awesome!
Service was nice. They were accommodating to our room change. However, my first impression of 25Si was rather interesting because it had nothing to do with their venue. I had my first experience of 25Si before I even stepped foot into their place!!!! I had called their listed phone number on Yelp to make a reservation since that was what was recommended by fellow Yelpers! No answer. I hung up. 30 seconds later. My phone rings with the number that I just dialed.
Me: Hello?
Older Korean Man with Korean Accent (OKMKA): Hello.
Me: Uh.... Karaoke place?
OKMKA: Yes.
Me: Uh... I need a reservation?
OKMKA: Ok. How many?
Me: 10-14 people?
OKMKA: Room #3 or #4?
Me: Uh... this is my first time.
OKMKA: Room #3 is $40/hour. Room #4 is $50/hour. I think for you... Room #3 is O.K.
Me: Ok then.
OKMKA: Ok. Room #3. Your name?
Me: Cindy?
O.K. So, my reservation experience was definitely interesting. I never expected that a karaoke place would return my call even though I didn't leave a message. Excellent service or a bit creepy? I still haven't decided on that yet. Either way, even though their drinks are expensive - We ordered a pitcher of Soju, lots of beer, and other beverages. Our grand total of the night was about $142 dollars - but dividing that by 13 people made it very affordable!
My only thumbs down was that they had a limited amount of English songs... I was a bit disappointed when I couldn't find "War" on their list. "WAR! WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!" But I suppose ending with Bohemian Rhapsody was just as loud! Thumbs up! Good Times!

Would've given full stars had my friends and I didn't have to wait for an hour past their supposed opening time to open :/ We like to go to karaoke early so we were there at 4 pm but the owner didn't roll in until 5, wtf? And then he mumbled something about reservations? O_o
However, besides that, the place is clean, fun and has quite a few more songs than the other ones I've been to. And the mics have this echo-y effect that make your voice sound better lol.
Didn't see the free shrimp chips though, maybe those are reserved for nighttime :(
Would come back again, but maybe show up after dinner instead of before ;) just to be safe. -

I've been here twice...and didn't sing either time. The people I was with seemed to have a good time though! I enjoyed the shrimp flavored chips.
I like that the parking lot becomes pretty empty at night... that way you can participate in shenanigans with the people in your group who are also too "cool" to karaoke. This is not the 90's! -

How is 25si? Think private room, strobe lights, fog machine, seats, tables, really loud music, alcohol, and crazy people singing in a room. Hahahhaa.
If that sounds like a good time for you, I think you'll like it here. It's chill and clean. You can drink and sing. You get a private room and cause as much commotion and embarrassment as you want. All good. For those that don't like to sing in front of everyone and their mom, this is probably a better situation for you.
If you're in Garden Grove, go to Goo Goo Ryeo KBBQ (posh & fab) and then come here for karaoke. We did that last week and had a good time.

"I must confess... that my loneliness. Is killing me noooooow. Don't you know I still believe. That you will be here.. And give me a siiiiiiign. Hit me baby one more time!" :P
I sang this song twice that night of the AYCD UYE. I didn't have a microphone to my lips, but I'm sure had people heard my beautiful singing voice, they would have said that Britney Spears herself would have shed a tear. Ha Ha Ha :D
The one song that I did sing with a microphone that night was "Supermassive Black Hole" by Muse. Only myself, Sheri and one other guy seemed interested in it though. It's a shame that people don't like Muse. Had I kept my drinking going once we got there, I would have tried to sing a Marilyn Manson song... maybe... oh ummm... "Lunchbox", that would have been a good one. Old school MM. They had quite the selection of songs and so anyone who happens to go there should be able to find something to their liking. I still can't believe they had not one but I believe five or six Marilyn Manson songs in there catalog of songs.
The rooms very impressive, what with the light show, the comfortable seating and plenty of room to fit 20 or so people inside. The screens kept showing random videos, but what I thought would have been a nice touch is to sink the songs that were being sung with the actual music video. Although some of the videos for songs may not be too appropriate to all ages.
I like that they serve a snacks and beverages. I can see going there and spending a whole night let alone just a couple of hours. Definitely headed back there whenever they hold another UYE that includes a stop there. -

Went here for a friends bday. Had a blast even though I was exhausted.
They serve beer! Snacks! They are friendly. Clean bathroom. Large TV's. They need an updated list for music though, but they have a pretty decent selection. -

This place was so FUN! Celebrated my sisters birthday here with about 15 friends. The room was super comfy and spacious. The guy was working that night was super helpful. The song selection could have been a little bit better, but whatever that didn't stop us from belting out songs all night.
You can bring in your own food so that is pretty cool, but you gotta buy their booze. We brought a little of our own booze, so we were fine.
I will definitely come back here, we had a BLAST! -

If you can't read Korean you would think the name of this place was Karaoke Studio. So when you go looking for it just look for something that says Karaoke.
+The selection of the English music was pretty good.
+The price of the rooms is decent.
++This is one of the few places that actually serves alcohol. (Basicly Korean beer and Soju)
- The music is set very loud and I can't read Korean so we had to get one of the employees in to turn it down. -

Worst. Service. Ever.
We would order drinks/technical service (mic crapped out on us) and the server would not show up for 30+ minutes. We had to keep ordering OVER. AND. OVER. AGAIN. I'm not a critical, unreasonable person, but really? More than 30 minutes to respond. Multiple requests to get things?
We would click the wall service-call button and he would NEVER (no exaggeration - never means never) show up. We tested the theory that he was ignoring us by clicking the button incessantly for about a minute or two. He showed up. "What?!" "The mic is broken. We went to the desk but no one has fixed it". At $45/hour, an useless room is a HIGH price to pay.
Never again (remember: I don't exaggerate) will we come here. NEVER. AGAIN. -

My boyfriend picked out this place to hold my 30th birthday party because let's face it -- I think I'm Whitney Houston!
After dinner (and 10 shots of soju) at Go Goo Ryeo next door our party of over 40 was happily shown to our large room. We commandeered some extra stools from another room and the fun never stopped! Well actually it had to stop because we stayed until closing. (Oops, did I just make my bf spend an extra $70/ hour for that room?)
It was worth the expense. The song selection was more than enough to keep everyone entertained and people are still telling me how much fun they had. -
Review from Kathy T.
I like this place because it's clean. The seating and tables are nice and roomy for big groups. We came here with a group of 10 and we got a medium sized room.
Pros: roomy; clean; nice; button to call the attendant if anything is wrong; good room pricing; serves beer and soju; fog/laser machine; multiple TV screens; clean bathroom (even though there's only 1 for male and 1 for female)
Cons: buttons in Korean; workers don't really speak English; needs updated list of English songs; can get awfully warm in the room;
Overall, it was lots of fun and I would definitely come back again! -
