I only had the cheese curds from here, and they were amazing! Made my night! I passed by the bakery and was very tempted by delicious looking treats, but I stuck with my unhealthy cheese curds. They were very lightly fried, not deep fried or very crispy, it was unlike any cheese curd I've had. Delicious!

Was looking for a breakfast spot in Wausau, someplace relatively close to my hotel.... I wasn't having a ton of luck on my yelp iPhone app -- so i checked the website, and then checked this restaurant's website. They're open at 7am, so i figured they'd have breakfast.
When I arrived, i learned that breakfast is only served in their back Deli - - which is at the very back of the restaurant. A nice hostess walked me though the restaurant to the deli - - but for your reference, the Deli has a separate entrance at the back.
The breakfast in the deli works as following:
Place your order at the bakery counter
Pay at the counter
Seat yourself, and food will be delivered to you
To be entirely honest... I ordered the "Ultimate Breakfast Croissant". It wasn't what i thought it would be.... it was smothered with sauce, absolutely HUGE... and looked like an omelet. I think the sauce was the hollandaise eggs bene sauce - - which i didn't care for. (Photo attached.)
The coffee was self-serve... unlimited refills. Nice!! I liked that.
And they also had a nice bakery case with a bunch of pastries, bars, some cookies, rolls... basically a bunch of sugary, gluttonous delights.
3*'s for my experience - - but I do have to say that the service was extremely friendly though! -

I didn't get a chance to eat the food, but I won't be back. Talk about a terrible hostess.
My family and I were at Granite Peak skiing for the weekend and on Sunday night we called ahead to make sure they could handle a party of 7 people -- 6 adults and a 16 year old. They said no problem. 30 minutes later we were there, and that is when the fun began.
Not being greeted warmly was fine; I don't expect everyone to be super nice. The hostess, Barb, said she would find us a table and went to a waitress and told her to seat us here. Unfortunately, it was a round table set for 5. She instructed the waitress to add two chairs. "Won't they be cramped?," the waitress asked Barb. "I have other tables we can push together."
"I don't care.", Barb stated flatly, not knowing or oblivious to the fact that we are within earshot. She turned and walked by, and as she passed, my brother politely asked her a question. Barb mumbled a response, not breaking stride or turning her head. Talk about unprofessional.
We address the issue of what she said and Barb tried to sweep it under the rug, saying that she was saying she didn't care about something else. We didn't raise our voice, but expressed unhappiness nonetheless. She attempted to placate us with a free appetizer.
Insult me, then lie to my face. Awesome. We left.
Hint: When it's your job description to welcome people and make them feel at home, don't be miserable and treat them like crap. I understand people have bad days, but at this level of ineptitude it is inexcusable. I'm fairly certain our waitress (who appeared crestfallen at our departure, no doubt because 6 drinking-age guests usually order liquor and tip well) feels the same way we do. Apologies to you, miss.
I award 2510 one star because of Barb, and may God have mercy on your soul. -

We stopped in for breakfast and were totally underwhelmed. Canned hollandaise on the eggs benedict. You get nothing to accompany the meal, no taters or a lousy piece of fruit. Hubs omelet was so small it was gone in 4 bites. We've gotten better food at McD's.

Stopped here to get to-go deli sandwiches and such to take skiing. The bread is great - and the sandwiches sure beat ski-area fare of $5 for a yuk grill cheeseburger.
They have a fantastic bakery, with tons of bars: nutty bars, 7-layer, cheesecake bars, salted nut roll, indie chocolate cakes, cupcakes, and great sugar cookies. Cinnamon rolls, scones, etc. looked fab. -

The deli is good and is a perfect lunch stop.As far as the restaurant, mediocre quality and appears to be nothing more than prepared processed food from Sysco.

2510 is one of the best resturants in Wausau. They serve a more traditional american food menu, which they do well. They also have a little deli in the back of the resturant which is also very good!
The Prices are reasonable, they have good specials and a killer friday fish fry (10.99 for 3 huge pieces of atlantic cod), the best fried cheese curds, great atmosphere and I have never had bad service. -

Wausau, WI
Best in Wausau area for widest variety of "traditional" American foods and the basic Americanized ethnic foods.
Nice decor, friendly staff, reasonable prices, attached deli.
My favorite dish is the Monterrey stuffed shrimp. Very good.
Good sandwiches; fairly good deli.
Very good to excellent desserts. -

Great little family restaurant right off the highway in Wausau. The main reason we stop whenever we are in the area is the fried cheese curds. They are beer battered fresh cheese curds with a homemade ranch dressing that is just amazing. If you stop, be sure to get the cheese curds!

Stopped here for lunch with my sis and BIL yesterday. We arrived after 1 PM, so pretty quiet when we walked in. The dining area is nice and the patio seating looked good as well. Quite a few things to choose from on the menu, although they were out of the chicken pot pie and it was a 10 minute wait for more. My sis and BIL ordered their lunch and I was next, but it was many minutes before someone took my order. It seems like one person takes an order, rings it up and then goes to make it...seems like it would be a better system if one person was just taking orders and one or two others were making the stuff. I had an egg salad sandwich, which was large on very good wheat bread; by the time my food arrived, the others were already finished. I wanted to buy a couple of things out of the bakery case, but I was ignored while others were waited on, so left without any goodies. It's all about service these days, and I was disappointed by its lack here.

Wausau is my second hometown and the food at 2510 is always good. If only they'd ship their cheese curds here to AZ!

Yummy food. Their salads are really good, the sandwiches are good, too. Yummy bars: 7 layer are the best! Brownies are second best. :)

My husband and I needed a quick lunch we could easily eat in our Jeep as we had our dogs with us. Did not want the usual fast food, just good food served to go.
Thankfully, we found the deli take out at 2510. The turkey sandwich was HUGE--great shaved turkey and wonderful, home-baked bread. Delicious. Home made chips came in a quart size baggie and were crisp and tasty. Had 1/2 a sandwich and half a bag of chips left for lunch the next day.
Got my husband a fried chicken breast and some coleslaw. Chicken was perfectly fried, and, trust me, the man knows fried chicken. Coleslaw was a little over dressed with mayo, but tasty.
All in all, a good 'to go' experience even though our dogs were definitely sorry we hadn't gotten them a 'go box'. too : ). -

2510 has a nice atmosphere, however, don't bring your teenage sons here-- the portions are very small. Maybe that's the reason for the high gross rating?
