I got around to trying the #2 and #3 and even with the massively high expectations I had, they were met and exceeded. The #2 is probably the best burger on the menu, which combines grilled proscuitto with the already flavorful burger patty. Topped with burrata cheese and pesto is the most creative burger I have had. The #3 succeeds with its Mexican theme using avocados, pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo.

However, the surprise was when I made use of their various toppings to customize my own creation. I ordered the veggie sandwich, which is arugula, roasted tomatoes and roasted mushrooms on the buttery burger bun. I added gruyere which came deliciously melted and a garlic aioli and the result was a veggie melt that had those who ordered burgers jealous of my concotion.

Can't wait to go back and customize another food item.

Only good at 2am, when the alcohol takes over your wallet, stomach, common sense, and you just want FOOD.

25 Degrees satisfies that craving. It's not a place to go for a date. Not a place for gourmet burger satisfaction, simply: annihilated goodness. The ginormous burgers are a blob of greasy, sloppy, greasy, ooey, greasy, meaty, greasy goodness. Oh, did I mention greasy?

Minus two stars because of the price. For 20 bucks I can get 19ish two for 99cent tacos at Jack in the Crack. One hot sauce packet per bite. Don't hate.

One of the best grilled cheese sandwiches EVER! It's a huge monster size sandwich filled with oooey goooey cheeses! It's so great on a chilly evening.

I tried the tomato soup but it was more like a watered down tomato sauce.

***No one can beat Doughboy's creamy tomato soup.

I've had the burgers and the bun is so thick and fluffy. Love it.
I don't love the sweet potato fries since they have some spicy seasoning on it. I still need to try the banana fosters milkshake that has TWO kinds of rum!

This place isn't heaven on earth with there burgers but its pretty good.  The portions are HUGE and very nice quality burger...Im not into fancy burgers but this place makes them right. To have a good burger it has to come with great fries, and there Fries were fantastic, and you get a ton of them.  The decor there is nice to, its in a cool old hotel.
If you like fancy burgers and don't mind the bell being in the 16 dollar range (Give or take) This place is good, You might even see me there because i well definitely go back to it.

I typically don't look forward to breakfast at hotels. It's usually a dreary affair with pulpy orange juice, rubbery potato wedges and eggs that resemble packing material. So this past weekend at the Roosevelt, I was reluctant to leave the warmth and security of my bed. When I finally summoned up the courage, I discovered something remarkable at 25º.

Their breakfast sandwiches are--in a word--perfection. I ordered the Southern sandwich with melted cheese, eggs and sliced sausage in a biscuit bun with gravy on the side. How it is possible to go wrong with this?! I also decided to have a breakfast beer and ordered an Alaskan Amber on tap. There are some places--as we all know--which balk at serving booze for breakfast, but not here.

Although the fare is rich, the portion size is reasonable for those "image-conscious" neurotics amongst us. There's also a massive selection of split wines, ranging from Veuve Cliquot to Dry Creek chardonnay. I look forward to returning and putting away a few bottles in the near future.

the service was excellent.  of course the restaurant was pretty empty it being 9:30pm on a tuesday night.  I had the egg sandwich and my partner had a burger.  my egg-wich was "over easy" so the yolk was good and juicy!!  It was all cooked delitefully well and our server at the counter was as nice as apple pie on sunday afternoon.  A couple of scotches, and a big fat load of greasy fries and onion rings later, we happily slid our fat butts off the stools and loped back to our room at the roosevelt......the decor is quite interesting in this establishment.  I had no earthly idea that one could even purchase chisled velvet and metallic gold wallpaper, nowadaze!

I don't think review #309 is going to matter much...  but #206 for lil old me is gonna be awesome.  My bestie and I decided to hop skip and jump up to Hollywood Boulevard before taking in a little Franz Ferdinand at the Palladium down the way.  We'd heard so much about this famed and fabled '25 DEGREES' that we just HAD to check it out.

I opted for the number two (crispy prosciutto et al).  Bestie chose number three (green chilies, chipotle et al).  I suppose I'm a little sad that I didn't opt for number one (you know...  the oft-imitated one with caramelized something or other and blue cheese etc. etc.), but I've had that burger.  I've loved it every single time.  Although there's a slight tinge of regret, trust me, I looooooved my burger.

Parmesan crusted, herb dusted sweet potato fries?  Yes please.  25 Degrees' own red ale?  Ohhh yes please.  Add to that a deliciously overpriced (but totally worth it) side of garlic aioli and I am in absolute heaven.  The patty is perfectly done, nicely cooked but not dry or too over the top.  My bestie agreed and thought that this place was absolutely magical -- I guess that is why we're best friends after all :)

Expect a lot of a food -- this ain't no foo-foo tasting menu, son -- for a reasonably gourmet price.  The service was impeccable and even provided a little extra eye candy for the bestie and myself.  Niiice.  Don't come here on a weekend evening and expect as easy a time parking, getting seated, served, and taken care of -- otherwise, the experience is lovely and totally worth every aspiration getting here.

An added bonus:  I mean, it's Hollywood.  It's the Roosevelt Hotel.  The servers and busboys are ten times hotter than any guy I've ever been with or even dreamed about getting with.  The service is spectacular.  The ambience is just so...  I don't know, Hollywood?  This is so not my usual scene but 25 Degrees makes me feel so...  lucky to live in SoCal, I suppose :)  Now what other restaurant can non-annoyingly do all that?

The burgers in this place are great, albeit a little pricey.  Don't forget to have the awesome fries with some of the amazing sauces, and grab a carafe of the Kenneth Volk for an extra special treat.  It's open late, which can be a real plus.  One negative -- I don't think in the 6 or 7 times I've been here they've ever gotten the entire order right.  Not once!  Someone's bacon is missing, or the cheese is wrong, it's always something.  The wait staff has a pretty good attitude and will happily fix it -- though of course, it would be better if they got it right the first time around.

I Don't care how good the burgers were. For a place that charges $80 bucks for 2 burgers and 3 beers (plus $10 bucks for 30 min parking with validation), they need to stick their head out of their ass, because when I asked for blue cheese dressing they added that on the bill, $2.00 for a dressing on the side (I've never seen this at any restaurant)....  That's just pathetic move. It's not the $2 dollars, it's the principal. That's pretentious Hollywood for you.

Oooooh, we're gettin SAUCY tonight!!

Little did I know, but this was going to be the reality of the dinner we had here on Saturday night. It was my bday din din, you see, and since I am a proud lover of all things red and meaty, we figured a burger place would be a fitting place to nosh, chomp and welcome my senior citizen ass to the next year :)

When we walked in, I was kind of surprised. Not knowing what to expect, I didn't really know that it was going to be this small. I pictured a restaurant-sized type of restaurant place, not a fancy pants upscale diner vibe. But as soon as I saw a massive burger come out of the kitchen, I could care less about how small the place was :)

After sipping on a glass of the Musician Red, (Umm, cheasier name for a wine? No, but as Kat Von D says, "This is Hollywood, babe") the rest of our entourage finally arrived and we were seated at a nice big booth towards the back shortly after that.

Now let's talk about the food. With places like this, where you build your own burger, I often experience a mini panic attack when I first look at the menu. How can one possibly choose when everything on the item list sounds so incredibly delicious? My glutenous side kicks in immediately and it sits down with my brain and starts rationalizing why bacon, mushrooms, two kinds of cheese, sauteed onions and a fried egg is totally reasonable to have on an already massive patty of meat and bun. I can't help it, it just is what it is.

Couple that reaction with the fact that I was with my friend Jenn who is the SAUCE QUEEN and looked at the rest of the group and obviously stated, "Well, we have to order every sauce they have." Of course we do, we are we and that is what we do. After the server looked at us like we were all kinds of loco, she brought over two huge plates of little sauce dishes and in we dove with french fries, sweet potato fries and of course, onion rings.

Out of the 15 or so sauces to pick from, I can't really say that any of them were bad. The ones that stand out in my head were the tarragon one, the lemon and dill, the mustard one and the bbq. But again, all were a true delight and made the fries happy little potato strips.

As for the burger, I went with a fried egg, mushroom, avocado and now I can't remember the name of the cheese, but it was good. I then pretty much took a scoop of every sauce in front of me and mashed them all together on my bun and the result was sheer bliss. I couldn't finish the whole thing it was so massive, but man oh man, what a deelish attempt it was at the gold. I will definitely come back here again. Great burgers, neat cozy booths and great douchebag and tourist people watching/judging. What more could you want? :D

Oh besides their Guiness milkshake. Oh to the my :)

Good bye Mel, So Long Denny.

Adios my local illegal purveyor of hot dogs (I never even knew your name)...

No longer will my trashy inebriated self be relying on you to provide provisions to satiate my late night food junkie-fix. Instead, I have been led astray after my acquisition and merger with the perfect burger. The acquisition took place at 25 degrees at 3 AM inside the epic Roosevelt hotel. The merger began when the burger met my lips. Once it reached my belly, it was sold and it was a done deal.

I ordered the #1 -- a burger with bacon, caramelized onions, arugula, and gorgonzola cheese. Even though 25 Degrees allows you the option of building your own burger, I decided not to build my own. I trust a culinary chef to know how to design a better burger than me. I was rewarded for my humble approach.

Although I abhor gorgonzola cheese and prefer lighter cheeses, the waitress swayed me against my judgment. I'm glad she did. The strong pungent flavors of the gorgonzola cheese really kicked up the juicy moist sirloin meat. It complemented well and creates a burst of delicious flavor! The #1 was moist, tender, flavorful, and had just the right mouthfeel to make it a "DAAMN good burger". YES, unlike Father's Office, 25 degrees meets the criterion of a gastronomically upscale hamburger.

(IMHO, The Father's Office "hamburger" is really just a "hamburg" sandwich. True, it has a hamburg patty but the bread crossed the burger line at fluffy crispy french roll. To me, a burger is served on a burger bun. To me, the F.O "hamburger" falls short the -er in a burger. But I digress...)

The #1 burger also came along the choice of fries. The fries are okay, but nothing to tell your grandma about. I didn't like the onion rings. Nevertheless, the burger is so good standing alone that I must give it a full 5-stars. Bonus points for being open and serving such delicious food 24 hours a day in the heart of Hollywood.

25 degrees, you really are the right temperature to get my taste buds all heated up!

The restaurant is not big, but ambiance is cool. The portions are huge, including the burgers and the sides (fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, etc.)

I've tried the grilled cheese - very good, greasy, yummy. The tomato soup wasn't anything to look forward to though. Recently I tried the veggie burgers with smoked mozzarella cheese and carmelized onions - it was good... the bun was too big for my taste but tasty. My fiance had the #1 combo, it was really good but a little messy to eat. We shared sweet potato fries and couldn't finish, they were good though.

They sell wines in jugs - small, med, large sizes. A little pricey. I believe they also have a full bar so you can always stay and have a few drinks after dinner if you like.

Overall, a pretty cool place to go to with friends.

Hmm, burger place, sweet potato fries and a damn shake.  It's a decent place for a burger fix on a friday when you just want to get the weekend started.

Ok so dont get me wrong the food is good.  But what brings this place back down to 3 stars is their service.  I don't know what it is but the service is pretty slow and is not very attentive.  Maybe I dont look like an agent who can get the waitresses a new acting job or a guest at the hotel who would leave them a big tip, but really I'm here to eat so feed me!

Hmmm, this burger is definitely a cut above the Counter, but I prefer Father's Office when I'm gonna shell out over 10 bucks for a burger.

I got the #2 with a fried egg on top after reading Eli G's post.  It was good. And HUGE.

For 12 bucks, you also get a choice of a side.  I thought that the onion rings were tasty, though greasy.  The sweet potato fries were good, but the ones at Father's Office are definitely better.

Since I'm staying at the Roosevelt for a business trip I've had a couple of chances to stagger into 25 Degrees after work. Both times they have made a burger that has knocked my socks off. In fact I can say without a doubt they have made the best burger I've ever had. The meat melts in your mouth, the bun is the perfect cross between soft and crispy, and the toppings are out of this world. Toss in some rather tasty onion rings or fries, and you'll place yourself in burger heaven.

Aside from kick'n food, the staff is super friendly, and have made my solitary stay out here much more enjoyable. The next time I make it out LA I will certainly be hitting this place for a burgery nosh.

I love this place.  The best burgers in LA.

They are not cheap, but totally worth it.  My girlfriend and I always just share one burger.

They are open 24/7.

I strongly recommend trying their milkshakes, and the 1/2 order of fries and onion rings.

Being a local to the place, I try to avoid going on the weekends.

My drunk ass has been here a few times after a late night.

The menu is not super extensive, but this is a case of quality over quantity.

I've built my own veggie burger, which was HUGE. I took whatever the server suggested, and I liked it.

Side note - that server has waited on me and my friends a couple of times, and I told him once that he reminded me of Chris Parnell. I don't think he appreciated it. But it really was more about his humor than actual looks...

Aaaanywayyyy... I've also had the grilled cheese - SOOOO freakin good; the sweet potato fries (ask for blue cheese dressing to dip them in!); and the half and half (half onion rings, half fries). All of them so good.

It could be that my drunk self just needed the greasy fried stuff. But the greasy fried stuff here is just on a completely different level than your typical grease pits.

Definitely a place I will crawl to if I'm anywhere nearby.

Okay, so a bit overpriced if you compare to regular burgers, but these are not regular burgers.  These are godly, made to order, rainbow and baby laughter infused burgers.  Anything that you can think of that ought to come on a burger is available plus all kinds of tasty cheeses and toppings you wouldn't even think of.  Also, they're open 24 hours!  They could improve by not making the drinks so outrageously priced (those are not anything overly special), but I guess amazing barely cooked rare burgers (if you so choose, as I do) at 4am has to come at a price.

Little secrets, little secrets. Why is 25 Degrees so named? I'm just assuming that's a little secret - one I could easily research, probably right here on Yelp. Gallego Sauce? Another potential little secret. My cool server at the counter said it's a spicier chipotle, but I beg to differ. A little secret for you, dear reader: go with one of their premade burgers, but ask to sub one of their amazing cheeses. They will do it for you, for a fee, yes, but burrata and arugula are going to make me ... come back for more. And I built my own, insisting on creativity, which cost me. My acquaintance got nearly the same burger for four dollars less and his came with the same onion rings I ordered, but I PAID $4 for the same size portion. And I had only had one glass of wine ahead of the burger; it's not like I was toasted. I was stubborn (not a little secret for anyone who's even met me). All of these creative decisions come at an a la carte price - little secrets that our server also completely disclosed. I told you, our server was cool, and cool means trustworthy. Another little secret I'd like to know: what the hell do they hand-bread their onion rings with? It's spice rack ambrosia. Freaking cardamon or something? Saffron? And the setting. It's a little-known secret that the Hotel Roosevelt is, while smack-dab in the Disnified hell that is Hollywood Boulevard (see my Starline Tour review for the little secrets as to why I now DETEST Hwood Blvd.) - it's an oasis, to further exhaust a tired literary device. Another little secret 25 Degrees might sell, for an a la carte price: what is that Alaskan Ale they have on tap? Is it really a pilsner? I am conjuring its taste in my mouth right now; I miss its mellow mouthfeel, honest to goodness, I do. Sometimes the simplest beers and wines make me want to ... come to my senses and pay a bit extra for Point Reyes on my damned 1/2 pound sirloin burger, a perfect medium rare, on an egg white-glazed bun.

This was one the most amazing burgers that I have had. Very tasty. HUGE PORTIONS. It makes the $13 price tag worth it. You get a giant burger and a side (fries, sweet potato fries, tomato soup). I tried all three and they were all wonderful.

The place is beautiful. A great way to spend a sunday night. After eating, were walked to the Roosevelt pool, which has a great bar and lounges and sofas. Really nice for a post-meal drink.

I gave it only 2 stars because our waiter was HORRIBLE. He was a pretentious dude that seemed to have a giant stick up his. One person asked if he (the waiter) preferred burger 1 or burger 2 (actual names of the burgers). He recommended the #2 by saying the #1 had everything including the kitchen sink, saying it in such a way to infer people who order the #1 dont have any taste. 2 of us had already ordered the #1 and there was only 4 in our party.

This seemed to be the tip of the iceberg from him. Any request was like we were pulling teeth.

ALL the other waiting staff was wonderful. They were happy and friendly. It was just this one stupid guy who was waiting on us. I'm sure I could get superb service from the street hot dog vendors. Next time I will try them.

If you are in the area. Please go to 25 Degrees. I hope you dont get the waiter we got. If you get a different waiter, your meal will be unbelievable.

I love being able to find a place in Hollywood where I can eat after 1 AM without having to resort to Denny's. It's a fantastic place to go to after a long night  and their burgers are superb. You could probably spend up to $20 or more if you go all out on customizing your burger here, but the last time I went here, I went with some smoked mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli on my beef patty and it was about $12. And their burgers are HUGE! The first time I went here with my friend, we split one and it was just the right portion too. The only thing I'd knock this place down for are the regular french fries. A bit too plain for my taste. I should probably try to sweet potato ones or go with the onion rings.

I've gone to that 8 oz. Burger place along Melrose- it doesn't live up to the hype and is nowhere near as good as this place is. The staff here is super friendly, and really good looking. Great ambiance and comfortable booths to sit at. I'm already wondering when's the next time I'm gonna go here...

Stop #2 on our burger tour of Los Angeles.

You know when people hype up a movie to you and tell you how awesome and amazing it is, then you go see it and you think it sucks? Yeah, I hate that...not so much the people hyping it up and raising my expectations, but for the movie not delivering. In this metaphor, 25 degrees was the movie.

Our burger crew rolled on over to 25 degrees with assurances from several that these bugers would make us think, "Umami who?". And for as much as I paid for this burger, you better believe I wanted it to live up to the reputation preceding it.

Much to the disappointment of almost everyone at the table, the burger was a let down. They have 3 pre-designed options, and wouldn't allow substitutions, which was a bummer because there was at least one thing in each that I wasn't crazy about. However, to get the most bang for my buck, I went with the #3 that had a green chile, pepperjack, and avocado and came with my choice of a side (half spf/half onion rings). After trying Slater's 50/50 burger (and still having it on the brain) I wanted to try and re-create that burger (like Austin S.) by adding bacon and a fried egg.

I could put all the toppings and fixings on this burger but it was still like putting lipstick on a pig (yeah, i said it). At the end of the day, it's still a pig, no matter how you dress it up. Likewise, the burger was still mediocre despite how I chose to dress it up. The meat was dry, even though I was one of the lucky ones to still have it be a tad pink inside. The bun was also dry and really detracted from the burger itself.

The onion rings were nice and crunchy, and the sweet potato fries were alright too....both were made better after a dip in some garlic aioli. Ah, but the Guinness Milkshake was marvelous. I didn't actually order it, but Katrina S. was nice enough to share a sip or two....or five. It was smooth, creamy, and a perfect balance of vanilla, chocolate, and Guinness. If i hadn't been so full from the burger, I would have ordered one myself.

I think the general consenus was that we may have to try 25 degrees again because they may have been having an off night.

I heard about 25 Degrees from Zagat. Since it's mentioned there, it must be pretty good and it's located inside Hotel Roosevelt.

We went a little after the lunchtime rush, so it wasn't packed, but it was quite busy. We ordered the french fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. We had a chocolate and strawberry milkshakes. We had two burgers, the traditional (Number 1) and the Italian style (Number 2). Both burgers were delicious, flavorful, and juicy.

The fries were quite savory and the onion rings seemed to melt in your mouth. The food was delicious, the service quite casual, and the atmosphere was a like a swanky diner. There were a lot of people that floated in and out of the establishment, but they all left happy. This is one of the best and well-rounded burger joints I've been to thus far!

25 degrees is apparently named after the difference between medium rare and well-done meat.  Well... these fools need to reset their meat thermometers, because when I came here, I was totally disappointed with a dry, tasteless, over cooked burger!

Came here on a random Tuesday night with a crew of 9.  The waiters were pretty accommodating, seating us at a 6 person booth and giving us a bench, but I wouldn't recommend such a large party on a weekend night.  The dinner started off well with delicious drinks (the mojo-tini was extremely tasty), and the excitement built as I perused the fabulous menu.  I mean, their cheese menu is really top-notch, with things like burrata and Midnight Moon (a great cheese from the excellent Cypress Grove creamery).  The pre-set burger options were a good deal, since they come with a full order of fries/sweet potato fries/onion rings (and you can order half-half with no extra charge).  Nevertheless, I decided to build my own, with sirloin, gruyere, and tarragon sauce.  About half our table opted for the pre-sets, so we had a good amount of fried sides, which were tasty but unremarkable, other than the thyme on the fries which lent a nice aromatic touch (shoutout to Father's Office for having WAY better sweet potato fries, by the way).

When my burger arrived, I knew I wasn't going to like it: I ordered it Rare (with a capital R), and my meat came out with only a tinge of pink.  In fact, rareness seemed to be pretty inconsistent, as some who ordered medium got rarer patties, and some patties were just plain cooked through.  Were you trying to spite me and my love of bloody meat, 25 degrees?  Not wanting to be a poor sport, I still eagerly bit into my burger.  Bleh.  It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't anything special.  The bun was a little stale and overwhelming, the gruyere was meek, and the beef was dry, dry dry.  Perhaps I came here on an off night, because everyone else here seems to looove this place.  I would probably come back here to give it another try, but for now my verdict is: not as juicy or tasty as Father's Office, meat not cooked as perfectly as Umami Burger, and not as well-sauced as Apple Pan.

Tucked inside the famed Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood lies a tiny burger bar called 25 Degrees. It's called 25 degrees because that is all the Celsius that separates beef from being rare to well done.

A group of 10 friends decided to start here before catching the Fourth of July celebrations over at the Hollywood Bowl.  Having worked nearby on Sunset for the longest time, I've always wanted to give this place a try to see how their burgers stack up in the eternal greatest burger debate.  Lucky Devils, another late night burger joint just down the street, has an amazing Kobe Diablo burger that will knock your socks off... and yet there are many out there that think 25 degrees is better.  I must try.

Seating a large group like ours is a challenge.  The restaurant looks like it can't hold more than 60 people, and offers nothing bigger than a half circle booth so our party had to split in two.  Lucky for us, happy hour runs 5-7 every day of the week, so beers, shakes, and sides were all half off.  They have a small selection of bottled beers and sodas.  I tried their very own 25 degrees red ale which had a good, rich malty flavor and my friend had an interesting kumquat soda that tasted only a hint of kumquat.  Their shakes were all very good... next time I come I will have to try their GUINESS Milkshake!

They have three specialty burgers (Number One, Number Two, and Number Three).  I got the Number Three, made of mezzo seco jack, green chili, chipotle, and avocado (pictured above).  I was a little disappointed, hoping for some more kick in it, but the chipotle mayo sauce was fantastic and I was in the mood for avocado that day.  I had a bite of the Number Two, featuring roasted tomato, prosciutto, burrata, and pesto, and it tasted better.  I would highly recommend that one.

Specialty burgers come with sides, of which I liked the sweet potato fries the most.  The sheer quantity of sides that come out will definitely fill you up.  I seriously thought I would never see the bottom of my cone of onion rings, and alas, I never did.  These burgers are no small feat to chow down.  You can also build your own if you don't like the ones they've got.

So, where does this rank in my book?  Well I'd probably put it on par with Lucky Devils but a shade under Umami Burger.  The bun at Umami still kills, while the meat of the Kobe Diablo is more flavorful.  I do like the retro Hollywood glam decor of this all-night burger bar, and their shakes and sides chalk up a fantastic meal to go with your tasty burger.  I still have to try Father's Office, The Counter, and 8oz Burger Bar in the future.

Another great thing about the place is that it's open 24 hours to fulfill your burger cravings at any hour of the day.

I give this place 5 stars for the ambiance and the good burgers. I love that the burgers are BIG and come with a side of either fries, sweet potato fries, a BIG ol' bowl of tomato soup, or onion rings! And you get all of this for $12! That's quite an awesome deal. Father's office is already $12 for just the burger alone.. and you have to add a side of sweet potato fries on top of that...

You should also try their Guiness Chocolate Milkshake. They give you a LOT of it and I think it's about $5? It was quite yummy.

I have been here twice... definitely going to go back. And I just saw they have a Huntington Beach location just off Main Street by the pier.

YES. YES! YES!!!!!!

Love the setup and hours.  Sweet potato fries and aeoli taste better at Father's Office, but I like the fact that you can customize your burger.  Go during Happy Hour to get half off sides and drinks.  The Guinness milkshake was not my cup of tea but still interesting.  It's not cheap, but what did you expect of a burger joint inside the Roosevelt?

Now *this* is the place to get yourself a memorable burger!

Ever since Fuddrucker's slowly but surely died away, I have been searching for another burger place that leaves me with even a remote similarity in sweet dreams of deliciousness.

First off, parking sucks.  Unless you want to shell out I think it was $10 to park in the hotel lot, good luck circling and maneuvering around tourists and the long line of teeny boppers to the Jimmy Kimmel show.  Which is what we did, so be quiet.  There is a lot of parking on the side streets, but they are either permit only, or you can park there after 8pm or something.  We got lucky to find metered parking just a few steps away on a perpendicular street.. though it was one hour only.

We went in through the back of the hotel, in which you'd go up a flight of stairs while admiring the strong, traditional architecture around you.  You first pass by a lounge, and then walk down a hallway to get to 25 Degrees.  If you go in through the main/front door, it's off of Hollywood Blvd.

It's hopping!  There's a long table along the kitchen area (kind of like Denny's, but without the outdated wallpaper, furniture, and clientele. ;-)  There are tables lined around.. kind of tightly/close to the Denny's-like front table.  We only had to wait a couple of minutes for a table, and this was Friday at around 7:30pm.  It's dim lighting, deep reds and browns, and it's kind of loud, but not in a bad way at all.

We started off with the garden chopped salad, which I pictured differently in my mind, but it came out as shredded lettuce or cabbage, chopped avocado, a couple of grapes, a couple of tomatoes, sliced apples.. in a creamy ranch-type dressing.  But it was good!  Portion size was perfect for a pre-entree nibble.  Kinda makes you feel healthy for eating a salad and fruit before commencing on taking on a splendidly greasy burger.

J ordered the Number 1, which is with arugula, blue cheese, caramelized onions, and Thousand Island dressing.  Oh, and bacon.  I decided to "make my own", with caramelized onions, garlic aioli sauce, and burrata cheese (can we say holy moly that's good cheese).  The Number 1, 2, and 3 come with a side of fries, onion rings, or half and half.  We got half sweet potato fries (hello there dahling), and onion rings (eh).

The burgers took about 10 minutes to come out (very good service here!.. both in timing and hospitality!).. and we cut our respective burgers in half to share.  Both were very different tasting, but very tasty.  The buger patties are THICK!  And juicy!  Add melted cheese to it, and it's heavenly.  The bun is a yummmmy brioche bread.. it looks thick/high, but it's so soft and airy/light.  Close to Fuddruckers, but not as sweet.  Not sure if it's housemade, but I think yes?

They don't have a large selection of beer, but it's a good selection nonetheless.  The only light beer they have on tap is Miller Lite, in case you wanted to know. :-b

Our bill came out to about $50.  Each burger will run around $12-15+ depending on number of toppings.  Salad was about $8 or so?

I can't wait to come here again!  I just wish the restaurant itself was a little bit more spacious/wider/private..  but hey, it's a burger joint - and it does suit it just fine. :)

Awesome burger joint with juicy, mouth-watering steak-like burgers and so many flavors of cheese! It's sophisticated, it's simple, it's understated, for the first time I didn't eat the whole bun, I just ate the meat and cheese.
This has ruined burgers for me forever.  How could you even think of eating a fast food burger ever again?!

I have to stress, it's soo juicy, and so straightforward, it's like a marriage proposal on the beach at night. ( I'll take the burger anytime)

90% guarantee I'll be back here again tonight after the fashion show on hollywood and highland ( Think: girl in high heels and cocktail dress wolfing down giant sirlion-burgers and drinking milkshake.)

But, if you're wandering around Hollywood at odd hours, this place is open 24 hours!!

Ok. You need to know going in that this will probably be among the most expensive burgers you will ever eat. Be prepared to spend at least $25 at 25 degrees after fries, a drink and tips - and that's if you skip the booze. Oh, and parking is a total bitch of course, but you should know that if you're a local. It ain't their fault.

BUT...the burger is daaaamn tasty. You customize your burger with a wide range of quality ingrediants - organic meats, tasty sauces, fancy cheeses - soooo good. For me, the burger is worth the cash when I'm in the mood, but I always approach it like a sit down meal instead of a "burger joint."

By far the best burger in Los Angeles!

Very chill place to hang, and right next to the Roosevelt.

The low lighting, intimate atmosphere, make it very chill, and friendly.  You can eat, and have an actual conversation with the person you're with.

The service has always been great when I've been.  Both in the booths and at the bar.

Sweet potato fries are awesome, as well as the buns to the burgers.  As I said the burgers are just out of this world good!  My girlfriend isn't a fan of burgers and loves this joint -- so yeah, go get you a burger.

Set in the iconic part of Los Angeles, in an institution in Hollywood, 25 Degrees is a fantastic burger joint in the Roosevelt Hotel, a legend amongst the stars...literally.

With an old school diner feel mixed with class and pizazz, this restaurant brings to life a time when Marilyn Monroe socialized with Joe DiMaggio. In the darkened corners and dimly lit booths, upholstered with red leather sit down at the mahogany bar also littered with red chairs, where the chairs swivel and the kitchen sizzles. A full service menus, this restaurant stays open till 2am so you'll be able to get your kicks, your drinks and your munchies satisfied at this joint.

Of course there are other things on the menu, though they are few and far between. this restaurant boasts high quality burgers without the pretension of a "high quality" place. Made to order as you like it add anything from prosciutto to mushrooms on your turkey, veggie or beef burger, as red or as black as you take it.

Where this place has lost a star, in my opinion, however, is the fact that they don't serve fries automatically with their burgers, an American tradition. Instead, the fries are an additional side order that you pay for. However., the prices for food isn't astronomical which is surprising given the location inside of a fancy schmancy hotel, in the heart of Hollywood where tourist are lured to open their wallets and purge themselves of money. They are asked to dole out a fair few dollars for drinks, which can really add up on a bill.

Their drinks are also spectacular. While not a traditional drink to order at an American restaurant their margaritas are tip top and will get you tipsy as you saunter out for your Hollywood hot spots near the area. See the stars on the boulevard below your feet and in front of your eyes as you enjoy a classic American burger, a Mexican drink and decor from a past life.

Went here on the recommendation of my friend Ray, who proclaimed this the "best burger he's had in his life."  Ray is prone to hyperbole, so we went in with guarded optimism.

I ordered a #1, and my friend got a #2, so we could each have a half and try them both out.

While it was a damn good burger, I have to say that the burger at Father's Office is still better.  Of the two burgers we tried, the #1 was clearly the winner.  Ironically, it's also the burger on the menu that is the most like the burger at Father's Office.

I was a little disappointed in the fries.  There was just something missing.  We tried the regular fries and the sweet potato fries and I didn't exclaim "OMG" like I did with the fries at FO.

The service also wasn't overwhelming, but then again neither is FO.

In short, a damn good burger, but slighly below FO.  A good choice if you are in the area.

Came here during NBA playoffs and everyone was glued to the TV screen, including the employees.  They were grumpy and I did not recall a smile.  Smiles are important.  Teeth exposure is critical in my decision on how much to tip employees.  Really?  Maybe...

This restuarant is located in the Roosevelt hotel but you won't be able to miss it, entrance is right on Hollywood Blvd.  Parking at this location might cost you a pretty penny so I suggest parking at the shopping center across the street so you can get validation at one of their stores to only pay $2 - sliiiiiiiick, that's me.

Selecting from their specialty burgers is probably the best choice to get the most bang out of your buck.  Three specialty burgers are listed for the fixed price of $12 which includes a SIDE!  That is an awesome value for such succulent burgers.

However, if your wallet allows, you can build your own burger and choose from three different patties, each starting at a different price (top sirloin: $9, turkey: $8, veggie: $7).  Everything else that you desire to be added on will have a small additional fee (that's what building your own burger is all about!)

I ordered their "number one" with a medium sirloin patty topped with caramelized onions, prelibato gorgonzola (cheese), crecenza, bacon, arugula and thousand island.  This was a juicy motherfucka.  I picked sweet potato fries as my side and I don't regret it - perfectly crispy.  Patty was juicy and jizzed when sliced in half.  The cheese with bacon complemented e/o very well.  Here is an awesome pic of the combo: http://www.yelp.com/bi...

Not looking forward to dealing with the staff again but I've been craving a burger since I last time I went so that means I'm going to have to tolerate w/shitty service!

I ate here before seeing the Killers at the Hollywood Bowl. It's located in the swanky Roosevelt Hotel directly across the street from the Hollywood and Highland shopping center. Basically, It's a small upscale diner. Loved the decor, the bordello wine colored walls and the candles on the table tops fit in well with the beautiful hotel.

The food included gourmet burgers, a build your own burger menu, and I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup... and I have to say it was quite a delectable surprise that I will be thinking about everytime I think of eating grilled cheese and tomato soup.. which is on a regular basis.. :D I love grilled cheese nom nom.. the soup was chunky and tasty and the THICK grilled cheese had the most amazing cheeses in it and it was ooey and gooey and crunchy and UH-MAZING! It had me scraping cheese off my plate.. as gross as that may sound.. but it was that good! My friend ordered a build-your-own burger with fancy cheese and aioli sauce. We shared an order of perfectly crisp and seasoned sweet potato fries. Plenty for two or three people to share. I want to try their onion rings next time.. the guiness shake is also on my order the next time I make my way to this location or the one in Huntington Beach.

As far as service goes.. It took a while to get noticed as we waited by the entrance from inside the hotel.. finally after standing there looking around at the counter then at the booths and then back at the counter.. a man behind the counter asked us if we needed help with anything.. um.. yea.. a seat at a table would be nice, right?? but once we were seated and our orders were taken the staff was pretty good about checking up on us, refilling our drinks, etc. So one less star because of that..

It's a pricey burger place.. We both paid about $20 each including drinks and tax ..but I thought it was pretty delicious and a good option when waiting for a show at the bowl.

Best. Grilled. Cheese. Ever.

Just thinking about that grilled cheese is making me salivate. This place makes me exhibit symptoms of tourette's. Uncontrollable cursing and fists slamming down. In a good way.

My friend and I went for lunch yesterday, a lovely gloomy Wednesday afternoon. For being completely full during the lunch rush service was good. Not overly attentive but our orders were taken and drinks brought in a timely manner.

We ordered:

soup and sandwich- Like I said, the grilled cheese... good lord. 3 cheeses (jack, cheddar, gruyere) on a nice thick cut white bread, toasted to perfection. The tomato soup was also pretty tasty. Nice and thick with chunky tomato, basil, and a healthy amount of garlic.

#3- Sirloin burger, medium rare with jack cheese, roasted green chile, chipotle sauce, and bacon (we added the bacon on) onion rings on the side. The burger was huge, perfectly cooked, moist and juicy. All of the flavors went great together and I really enjoyed the brioche bun. It looks really intimidating at first but brioche is fluffy and squishes down quite a bit making it not impossible to get in your mouth. Onion rings were nice and crunchy with minimal grease.

The food was more than enough for 2 starving people (I brought leftovers home) and the medium jug of Bitch grenache wine that we got went perfectly with the meal.

They're in the process of opening up a Huntington Beach location but until then, I'll definitely be back.
